Zapped to Another World [Chapter 5]
New updates! Hope you guys enjoy!
[Masterlist]
âSoâŚShe is friends with the Fatui and the strangely attired gentleman.â
The wax sealed envelope sat in the girlâs bag as she held on to a basket of herbs, with her umbrella in the other hand.
With the city busy preparing for the festival, she was able to sneak in under the pretext of selling her herbs. There was a surprising amount of people who needed stomach medicine and she was not one to turn down free mora.
Meeting those familiar blue eyes, Huirong bowed her head politely.
âIs that you, Huirong?â She jumped up with a grin. She recognized the bubbly chef anywhere.
âMiss Xiangling! What an unexpected surprise!â
âI knew it! You always carry around that umbrella of yours! Youâre selling herbs, right? Do you have those Jueyun Chillis from the mountains? I want to recreate my masterpiece from Mondstadt!â The apothecarist was quick to shake her head.
âThose are extremely dangerous and hard to get, Miss. It is dangerous even for Vision-bearers to collect such rare spices.â Huirong gently chided. Her hand went subconsciously towards her Vision, which was artfully woven into an intricate choker.
âAwwwâŚ.How about berries and sunsettias? I need a lot of them for my new dish!â Xiangling grinned in excitement.
Huirong blinked in surprise. She was usually used to extremely special and specific orders from the chef, like lotus heads from the fastest moving rivers it could grow in, or those Jueyun Chillis, or even Cryo slime condensate from the peaks of Dragonspine.
âWell, that, I have plenty. But whatever do you need them for?â Handing over a heavy bag of the fruits, Huirong gladly welcomed the heaviness of the mora bag Xiangling handed over.
âStay around! Iâll dish you up a plate!â
Tartaglia frowned as his eyes found Huirong. While he has met the lady on more savoury occasions, he knew of her slinky nature as a private detective for hire.
âWhat is going on here?â His frown deepened when he realized her gazeâŚwas on you.
Something was not adding up and he could feel it.
âPhew, never knew daily commissions are that tiring.â You gaped as you sat down at last at an abandoned treasure hoarderâs camp. You had to hold back your power in fear of Tartaglia figuring you out, which was more energy draining than you thought.
âAre you not part of the Adventurer Guild?â Aether asked, raising an eyebrow.
âWell, my father never let me join. He said it was not fit for a lady like meâŚAnd that I was extremely weakâŚâ You were uncomfortable at how long Tartaglia was lingering with the group.
Paimonâs face instantly morphed into one of pity before turning confident.
âWowâŚYou donât have any combat experience, yet you did so well..! Iâm sure you will beat your dad!â She gushed.
âNever knew beginnerâs luck would stick by you that long.â Tartaglia laughed.
You bristled at his jab in your inexperience.
You got up right away, slamming your hand beside his shoulder and cornering him against the shelf of rock he was leaning back against. Â His warm breath fanned out across your face as you taunted him.
âOh? Care to coach me, Mister Harbinger?â
âWow, feisty. I wouldnât turn down an opportunity to educate a beginner like you.â A confident smirk stretched his lips. Was it your imagination, or did his eyes turn half-lidded in that moment?
âBoth of you, quit flirting!â Paimon complained as you flushed. Stumbling back and away, you sat back down on your wooden bench. Tartaglia had to kill the urge to smile as you sat there in awkward silence.
How cute.
No, he had to focus. Why was that private detective investigating you? While being with you for majority of the day had helped in digging a lot of information about your supposed background, he was clueless on so many things as well.
Being a Harbinger is tough, he sighed to himself as he remembered the countless meetings he would need to conduct later in the day. He couldnât be around you all the time.
âIâllâŚNeed to head to the bank. For work. Be safe, alright?â He affectionately ruffled Aetherâs hair. Aether seemed bothered by his action as he seemed to pout in response.
âOh, andâŚ(Y/N)? I suggest for you to be careful. Even rocks may have ears.â
Without waiting for a response, he stalked away, leaving Aether and Paimon uneasy.
âWhy? Whatâs wrong?â You knew the answer, but you had to play your part as the clueless little girl from Mondstadt.
âWellâŚThe last time he said that to us, we ended up battling each otherâŚNearly to death. I think you should stick with us after all, after what he said.â Aether cautiously answered.
âDeath?!â
Your shocked response earned you a comforting pat on the head from Aether and reassuring words from Paimon. You hated how good you were getting with lies. Â
âIf he tries anything, weâll beat him up! Bam Bam Boom!â Paimon shadowboxed the air enthusiastically, earning giggles from you while Aether sighed.
âButâŚIâm doing most of the fightingâŚâ
After a delightful meal with Xiangling and her interesting new dish that was inspired by the stranger, Huirong found herself face to face with the Harbinger.
âWhat are you doing here?â
Huirong gave herself a second to compose herself, making her face as expressionless as she could.
âI can say the same for you, Mr Tartaglia.â Huirong replied as she opened her umbrella to shield herself from the unrelenting rays of the late afternoon sun.
âWerenât you supposed to be reassigned to Shneznaya?â Raising an eyebrow as Tartagliaâs eyes narrowed.
Tartaglia had no idea how the young girl was getting her information, but it was too accurate for it to be from Liyueâs grapevine.
âYou haveâŚAh, extracted the Geo Archonâs Gnosis. Yet, what is the delay? Donât you want to find Teucer?â
âDonât you dare speak his name.â Tartagliaâs eyes flashed in anger. His hands immediately clenched into fists.
âHow can I not? He is such a sweet, young boy. I wonder what he would say if he finds out that his precious, perfect big brother is a part of the murderous Fatui Harbingers.â Huirong gave a bemused chuckle, allowing a hint of maliciousness to creep into her voice.
She could hear Tartaglia take a deep, calming breath. She could also see his tight fists relax.
âWhatâŚDo you want?â He could not meet her eyes as he cast his eyes downwards.
âItâs honestly simple, my dear friend.â The umbrella cast an ominous shadow on the young girlâs face as she smiled.
âDonât get in my way.â

Zapped to Another World [Chapter 4}
I can finally update now that its school break! Thank you all for your patience!
[Masterlist]
Aether wiped off a stray droplet of sweat, weaving the plant fibres into the shape of a lantern. It has only been 2 days into the festival and already, he was swamped with the task of creating more lanterns to take to people who were too far from the harbour.
âAether, Aether look! Look at this! Doesnât it look like Paimon?â His white-haired floating fairy chattered excitedly, waving around what looked like an amber on a stick.
âWhatâs that, Paimon?â Aether paused in his lantern making to give the stick a once-over.
It was artfully sculpted to look like the said fairy and it smelled incredibly sweet.
âThe lady said it was Karamel! I got another for you too!â Paimon excitedly fished out a star-shaped one. Cautiously, Aether gave it a lick. It tasted warm and sweet. It reminded him of home. LumineâŚ
âYouâve been at that lantern for the past 2 hours. Câmon, take a small break.â While Paimon may have been wrong about several things before, Aether knew that she was right on this fact.
âAlright, letâs have a break then.â
After 3 days(and night) of walking and riding on the back of wagons, you had finally reached the gates of Liyue.
Liyue looked spectacular with the lanterns adorning every corner of the street. You were in awe. You thought it looked beautiful in the game, but in the fleshâŚIt was more than you could ever dream of.
Each lantern had its own unique design. You could hear the drums and cymbals crashing as performers danced under a giant suit that looked like the Adepti of Liyue. The scent of grilling fish and sweets wafted through the thick hair of the harbour. It felt so homely, almost like one of the carnivals you had attended.
âWoahâŚOw!â You bumped into a ginger-haired man. Tartaglia.
Cold reality slapped you across your face. The Fatui is everywhere.
âOh! Sorry, are you alright?â Concern lit his handsome features. If you were not carefulâŚYou very much wanted to pull away your hand but you hesitantly let Tartaglia pull you up. You definitely did not want the man suspecting you about anything.
âUhm, uh yeah sorry, I wasnât looking. This is my first time seeing all of thisâŚâ You tried to gulp down your fear of the man.
âI feel you! Hahaha, are you new here? Well, you must be. I have not seen such a pretty lady like yourself around these parts before.â Â Despite your fear of the Fatui, you felt your face flush in response to his flirting.
âYeah, very much so, Iâm afraid. Iâm looking for a friend of mine. About yeh high and has a white floating fairy by his side.â You gestured a rough height.
âOh! What a small world!â Tartaglia beamed at you. He seemed so innocent as he aimed a bright and friendly smile at you, but you knew better.
âUhâŚDo you know him, by any chance?â
âKnow him? Well of course! I dare say that he is one of my good friends! Come, come, Iâll take you to him!â
He gestured you to follow him, and reluctantly you did so.
Tartaglia had never seen someone so shy and scared before. Is it because I am part of the Fatui?
You looked so innocent when he bumped into you at the gates. The way you gaped and looked around Liyue like youâve never seen it before⌠It almost reminded him of Teucer and his sisters in Shneznaya.
âPlease donât be afraid of me. While I admit, I am not that nice of a guy, I promise I wonât do anything bad to you.â Seeing you stiffen at his words, Tartaglia felt a particularly large drop of sweat dribbling down.
Did that just backfire?
âChilde?! What are you doing here?!â A familiar high pitched voice reached your ears. You could feel her disgust all the way from your place.
Yup, that was Paimon. By her side, was Aether, with his arms akimbo.
âRelax, I mean no harm. I bumped into this cute little girlie over here and thought Iâd help her out in finding you.â
âFinding us? Wait what? Who are you?â Paimon frowned.
âUh...Uhm Iâm (Y/N)âŚPlease let me follow you on your journey!â You bowed 90 degrees, hoping you could hide the flush on your cheeks. Youâve always dreamed of this moment but now that it is in your face, you felt your tongue being weighed down by iron ore.
âWhat?!â The sheer shock on their faces would have been comical under other circumstances, but right now, it did not do favours for your nerves.
âIfâŚYou would let me join? Iâm sorry, was that too forward of me? My dad always talks about you and I thought maybe, if I joined, he would-â
âThatâs okay. Please, it would be great to celebrate the Lantern Rite with more friends.â Aether fixed you with a warm smile that felt genuine.
âHow about me?â Tartaglia winked at Aether.
âNo.â
Aether felt slightly apprehensive when he saw you with Tartaglia, but taking in your clothes and the lack of the Fatui insignia and signature mask on your person, he was certain that you were innocent.
âSo, where are you from?â Paimon asked as your group leisurely walked through the bustling streets.
Seeing Tartaglia by your side, you decided to tell a white lie.
âMondstadt! My dadâs an Adventurer at the guild so heâs told me all about what you did!â You definitely felt better when Aether fell in step with you, walking and talking by your side. You couldnât help but feel bad as you realized the amount of lies you were telling was increasing.
âWow, weâre famous!â Paimon grinned at Aether.
âYeah! You were amazing in that battle with the Stormterror! I thoughtâŚMaybe I could grow stronger if I journeyed with you. Ah, but donât worry, I can cook and clean-â
âYou can cook?!â Paimon began to salivate.
You nodded. You were able to cook a few dishes, thanks to your Home Ec classes.
âCan we have a taste?!â
You bit your lip as you surveyed the ingredients you had. A handful of sunsettias, berries, flour, sugar, butter and half a bottle of milk. Looking at your group waiting expectantly outside of Wanmin Restaurant, you smiled.
âGuess Iâll let them have a taste of Dorayaki.â
Xiangling had also let you borrow a little of their ingredients in case you did not have enough to feed your group. Of course, you had paid her a generous tip for lending you her ingredients.
Combining some eggs, sugar and honey that Xiangling had, you whisked it up the best you could with a fork. You carefully passed the flour through a noodle sieve into the mix. You could feel his stare piercing you from behind as you tried to focus on cooking.
Mixing it all together, you fashioned a mini ice box with your Cryo powers to rest your mix and turned to making the sweet filling. With a sharp knife, you chopped up the sunsettias and berries and sat them in a pot of sugar.
You heated the sugar and fruits together, humming a soft tune as you fished out a mandarin orange and squeezed its juices into the berry jam you had made. Sliding the jam into a clean jar, you sat it in the ice box you had made.
Taking your rested mix, you added and mixed in a tablespoon of water before readying a skillet, greasing it over with butter.
Slowly but surely, you created a stack of perfectly brown and fluffy pancakes. Taking your cool jar of sunsettia and berry jam, you spooned out equal amounts of it onto the pancakes before pressing another pancake on top.
It was done! You placed the still warm dorayaki onto 3 plates, serving it to Aether, Paimon and Tartaglia.
âWoahâŚIt smellsâŚIncredible!â Paimon dove into the dorayaki right away. Paimon made the dorayaki look delicious as she enthusiastically gobbled down her treat.
You noticed Xianglingâs eyes glitter as she stared down at the dorayaki. You looked down at your own share. You honestly wanted to dig in too, but seeing her doe eyes made you sigh and surrender your portion to the young female chef.
âR-Really?! I can have this?!â You nodded with a soft smile as Xiangling leapt for joy before biting down. You did not think it was possible, but the light in her eyes shone even brighter as she tasted your dish.
âSay, wanna join the Wanmin Restaurant instead?â Xiangling asked, her bright smile spreading wide across her lips and eyes.
ââŚIâll have to decline, I wanna travel with Aether more!â You sheepishly turned down the offer. Aether and Tartaglia clearly enjoyed the treat as you noticed them both licking off the jam on their fingers.
âI donât know about you, but I accept her into our travel group!â Paimon declared as Aether laughed, wiping off the last of the jam on her chin.
âHey, how about me?â Tartaglia grinned hopefully.
âNope.â
âStill, a no from me.â
Tartaglia then turned his attention to you, trying to use his puppy dog eyes on you.
âHey, (Y/N), how about me?â
You silently turned away from his gaze.
âWhy are you three so cruel?â

Zapped to Another World [Chapter 3]
[Masterlist]
Chapter 3 is finally up! T-T I am really sorry for the delays and future delays since I am juggling between school and Genshin.Â
Despite the roof over your head and the cushy bed beneath you, you could not sleep.
You heaved a sigh as you reached your hand into your chest, detaching your Gnosis. If your knowledge was right, you were basically the 8th Archon. A phantom one, judging by Ventiâs reaction.
âOh good, you have not lost it yet.â A familiar voice echoed. You nearly rolled off the bed in surprise as you turned to face Artem.
âHow? But I? Huh? What are you doing here?â You stuttered.
âOh silly head. Or maybe I am the silly one for not letting you know. A Gnosis is a way that Archons can communicate with the Celestia. In other words, me!â Artem threw you a mischievous smile. He seemed a lot more easy-going. Was it because I agreed to this life? Or is it because his sister isnât here?
You suspected both as Artem kicked back in the air.
âI am aware of that butâŚDoesnât this make meâŚIrrelevant in this world? Werenât there supposed to be just 7 Archons?â You knitted your brows as he casually floated around the giant room.
âWell, originally, yes. But things change!â
âSo, what exactly am I an Archon of?â You looked back onto your Gnosis. As you had agreed to the âcontractâ when you fell, the Gnosis had transformed into what looked like a chess piece, with a sphere adorning the top of it.
âThis world! Isnât that exciting?â
Figures. The shape atop your Gnosis was shaped like a planet after all.
ââŚHonestly, not with the Fatui out to get people like me.â You sighed.
âOh, if they try anything funny with the Order I have made, rest assured, us gods will deal with it.â Artemâs easy-going aura turned bloodthirsty.
You held your tongue instinctively as Artem laughed humourlessly.
âI am well aware of the Tsaritsa straying from her path and interfering. But I have faith in that Outworlder.â Artem hummed as he messed around in your room. He somehow managed to find lipstick paper in the drawers and had put it on.Â
âAnd me. Surely there is more to my existence in this world. Am I right in saying that?â You grasped your Gnosis tightly in your hand.
âWell yes, you are the failsafe I have created. It was pure chance that I lost that game and my temper ehe~â He blew you a kiss with his extremely pigmented lips.Â
You were tempted to shout. A pure chance that I got killed by that lightning volt, you mean!
âArenât you glad that it worked out?,â Artem closed the gap between the two of you, his eyes staring into yours. There was a dangerous glint in his eyes, as if he could hear your thoughts.
âI am glad for this second chance in life. But it is honestly concerning for someone like meâŚâ You gulped back your fear of the god.
âUnderstandable. By the way, try to keep your existence as an Archon as downlow as possible. While the Archons may be aware of another one, they will not be able to pinpoint who it is exactly until they meet you. If they got rid of the failsafe, I will be forced to get someone to step in.âÂ
ââŚDo you mean the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles?â Artem blinked in surprise.
âWow, Iâm surprised a human from Earth knows about her. Â Yes, yes you are right. Clever girl.â
You felt the cold claws of dread grip your heart.
âCommunication is a 2-way street. If they can observe and interact with the Celestia, they can interfere with it. That means, if they tried hard enough, they can very well overthrow the gods of the Celestia.â Artem turned serious.
âThat is why you exist now. The original plan was to summon a hero from Elysium as a failsafe but seeing as to how things turn out, well, here we are.â
âYou talk as if it is my fault that we are here nowâŚâ You frowned, âYou raged during a game of Uno. Uno, of all games! And caused a whole lightning to zap me into the afterlife. Not to mention, the guilt trip that you pulled just to bring me here.â
Artem rolled his eyes, as if you were snapping over a trivial issue.
âNow you just sound like Solaria. Blegh.â Artem faked a retch before returning to his serious expression.
âSorry if I made it sound bad that you are here. I mean no ill-intentions. You didnât deserve to die because of my temper.â Artem patted your head, exhaling heavily through his nose.
You heard footsteps come by your door. Artem gave you a wink as he disappeared into a burst of golden sparks. You hurriedly stored your gnosis to your chest again.
âMiss (L/N), I apologize for the disturbance. Master Diluc has instructed me to provide you with clothing.â A maid came by, a set of clothes and shoes in her hands.
âHow kind. Leave them by the dresser. And send him myâŚthanks.â You watched as the maid bowed her head, putting them down on the oak dresser before scurrying out of your room.
Rising and feeling the silken fabric of a simple red frock, black shirt and a matching cape, you exhaled through your nose. You knew that you were caught up in something complicated and the feeling of helplessness came back to you.
Artemâs voice then echoed in your ears.
âFind the Outworlder and see to it that he saves this world. If not, wellâŚâ A vision of Mondstadt in flames with the familiar black-red cubes flashed in your eyes.
âLetâs just say, the option of going into Elysium will be open.â
You did not know when you had drifted off to sleep, but you were glad for those few hours of rest. You slipped out of your day-old school uniform and donned the fresh clothes Diluc had given. They felt light and soft, perfect for traveling under the sun. Given how the sun was blazing through the morning dew, you decided against the cape and slipped it into your bag as well.
Preparing your things, you were not a fan of how the bag of mora you had received from Solaria was getting lighter. Maybe I should become an Adventurer as wellâŚ
Walking down the wooden stairs of the Winery, you were surprised to see a huge spread of food on the table, with Diluc leisurely eating his way through a pile of steaks, potatoes and cheese.
âHave some, the people of Mondstadt call this Pile Em Up.â Diluc pushed over a steaming plate. You swore you saw it sparkle in the candlelight.
You tentatively sliced a piece. Meat and cheese at this time of the day seemed a little rich, but as the warm ribs melted in your mouth, you could not hold back a satisfied sigh.
âYour maids are excellent cooks.â
ââŚI cooked it.â
ââŚReally?â
âDo you not believe that I can cook?â
Diluc gave you a bemused smile. You looked back down onto your steak. You mentally yelled at yourself to quit blushing.
âI-well, you donât seem the type to cook soâŚI just thoughtâŚâYou stumbled over your words. You could feel his eyes on you. You noticed a small, genuine smile forming on his lips. You have landed on one of the topics he admits pride in.
âWell, I do work as a bartender in the tavern at times, naturally I will need to be able to cook.â
A soft warmth formed in your chest as you smiled back. Finishing off the delicious plate of the juicy meat, you blinked in surprise as he offered you a pack of dried sunsettias and apples.
âThe journey will be long. Please be safe on your travels.â
Huh. You always had the impression that he was cold and aloof, but Diluc seemed different than what you have seen in the game.
âUhm, thank you for everything you have done. I will pay it back some day!â You bowed before turning towards the path leading out of Dawn Winery. Â
âUhâŚUhmmâŚ.â You murmured in growing panic. Solaria had forgotten to pack a map! You were incredibly lost. A boy with white hair bolted past as you heard the sound of gibberish following behind him. You had a bad feeling about this.
ââŚUh oh.â
You looked back. A group of very angry Hilichurls were running towards you and the boy.
âUH OH!â
You sprinted in the direction of the boy but you soon found yourself face-to-face with a cliff. The boy was nowhere to be seen.
You had to fight.
You turned around, grabbing an arrow that flew past your face. Everything seemed slower than you thought it would be.
Gritting your teeth, you pushed your arms in front of you. Your eyes shut themselves tightly as you willed for the area around you to freeze over. The screams of the Hilichurls stopped as you felt the icy winds against your cheek.
Cautiously, you opened your eyes to see them frozen solid. You walked up, tapping the ice with your knuckles.
It was as if they were made out of ice rather than being flash-frozen.
Whatever had happened, you were certain that you would be safe. Looking around, you noticed a blob of white hair in the bush near you.
âYou alright there?â You called out. The boy poked his head out of the bush.
âAâŚAre they gone -AH!â The boy jumped as he saw the Hilichurlsâ angry expressions before realizing that they are frozen solid.
âIt should be safe and anyways, what is the use of a sword if you donât use it to defend yourself?â You sighed, noticing a sword strapped to his side.
âThey kind of caught me off-guardâŚâ His expression of guilt made you feel bad as you awkwardly patted his head.
He reminded you of a little brother.
âWhatâs your name?â You asked as you took in the familiar garb he was wearing.
âIâm Bennett! I had a commission to retrieve treasure from the Hilichurls butâŚwellâŚâHe stole a glance at the Hilichurls, who remained frozen solid in their spots.
âIâm (Y/N) but I got lostâŚI forgot to pack in a mapâŚâ You sighed, scratching the back of your head awkwardly.
âOh! I can help with that!â
Bennet fished out a crumpled piece of paper. It was a map! You were saved!
But just as you were about to thank Artem for his kindness, an arrow ripped through the middle.
The Hilichurls you froze over must have melted as you heard their angered screaming.
âOh for f-â
Bennett drew his sword. You were familiar with his skill in the game as you saw him charging energy into his sword. Raising your hand, you willed for your power to protect him as he swung his sword. Flames rose as he struck down the Shield Hilichurl.
âHuh?â Bennett was confused when he realized he was not sent flying.
âFocus, Bennett, focus!â You yelled as you blasted the Hilichurls away from him. As much as you hated how his unluckiness seemed contagious, you did not want him to be hurt.
âThanks!â Bennett beamed at you as he slashed down the Hilichurls. That seemed to be last of them as you finished off the Shield Hilichurl.
âWow, thanks for saving me back there. Seriously, I owe you one.â Bennett made his gratitude known, thanking you profusely. Â You sighed as you sat down on the grass.
Bennett took out the torn map and looked extremely sheepish.
âDonât suppose you have an extra one?â You sighed again. Bennett shook his head in response.
âHey, are you two okay? I just saw the bodies of the Hilichurls and I came by to investigate- Oh hey Bennett!â A girlâs voice greeted you both.
âHey Amber! Yeah, I kinda got into a fight with them but she saved me!â Bennett excitedly introduced you to the Outrider.
âSheâs uhâŚWhatâs your name again?â
âIâm (Y/N) and Iâm trying to get to Liyue but I got lost. Bennett was showing me his map until they ripped it. Donât suppose you have an extra in your pockets?â You wiped off the sweat as you stood up to greet Amber.
âOh! I can help with that!â Amber gave you a neatly folded piece of paper.
âPlease take care on your travels then. There is a rise in Hilichurl sightings in the area.â Amber saluted.
âDonât suppose youâd like to join Bennettâs Adventure Team?â Bennett gave you a puppy-eyed dog look.
âUhmâŚWell, I really need to make my way to LiyueâŚUnless youâd want to come with me and abandon everything you have hereâŚâBennettâs face fell. You instantly felt bad for the poor adventurer. You knew it was a tall order for you to ask him to come along.Â
âHey heyâŚIâll be back soon. We can do more adventuring once I fulfil my mission, okay?â You smiled at Bennett, who brightened at your promise.
âIf I am still alive, afterwards,â A dark thought flashed through your head.
Waving good bye to the two, you continued on your path, leaving Mondstadt behind.
Meanwhile
Dilucâs servant gulped as he approached a small cottage in the bamboo forest. Knocking the wooden door, he cleared his throat.
âDiluc sends his regards.â The door immediately opened to reveal a girl with dark brown hair.
âOho! Finally! He calls! Did he happen to include an engagement ring by any chance?â
âU-Uh no, just this letter-â
âOh how boring.â The door slammed shut.
âHe includes payment with this letter.â
âWhy didnât you say so earlier?â The door swung open again. The girl swiped off the bag of mora the servant had prepared and wax-sealed letter smoothly.
Ripping the letter open, the girl scanned its contents carefully.
âAs straightforward as always. Thanks for your hard work, I guess.â Waving off the servant casually, the girl smiled to herself.
âA recon mission for a stranger in red and black, huh? Well, well, well. Time to dust off the old umbrella.â

Unpopular Opinion that no one asked for but here it is [Genshin edition]
I might get cancelled for this but honestly, I think I need to get this off my chest.Â
This is kind of a ranty post, so please donât mind me.Â
TLDR:Â Dont rip apart P2P players, they are the ones who show the game the most support compared to F2P players who tears down p2p players for supporting a game that they love.
More under the cut (read at your own risk; feel free to agree or disagree)
So what if you are a F2P player?Â
Okay, okay, I am cool if you are either F2P or P2P (honestly I donât care if you pay or not, as long as you are having fun)Â BUT
To flaunt that you are F2P and then rip others down for paying is just downright disgusting.Â
Get off your newspaper throne and learn some humility.Â
First off, who do you think pays the game company? Yeah for sure, they may be earning off Google and Apple but even then, to continuously develop a game that is of high quality and playable across several platforms takes a lot of effort and money.Â
So much effort goes into the game and I feel that they should get all the credit and support they can get.Â
As a person who has gotten into school for working with media and games (and graduated yay), let me tell you, there is a lot of things that goes into a game. From the visuals, to the character design, even the sound and music, the amount of work that is needed to be done is no joke. I am willing to bet that the people working at Mihoyo pulled all-nighters just so that we can enjoy the game.
Paying for in-game items and characters is a way players can support the game. Yeah, Mihoyo may have made the game in such a way that we need to pay to win or get certain items but still, you have to give them credit for all the work they have done.Â
They designed the characters you simp for. They wrote out the story and created the very personalities of said characters. They even created a manga that circles around the game itself!Â
Donât get me started on the music (which is available on Spotify btw, please do give it a listen!)Â
There has been so much effort done and the least I can do, as a person who has the financial means to support the game, is to do pay for things like the Welkin Moon pass or for Primos.Â
For those who has the means to support (and can control themselves from overspending), by all means, pay for it. Get the characters/weapons you wish for.Â
For those who are too young/ have no means to support/ have no control over their spending, I encourage to either abstain from spending or spend at your own risk. (best yet, have someone who can keep an eye on you and to give you advice on such matters)Â Â

Zapped to Another World [Chapter 2]
Genshin x fem! reader
I was able to write this up during my New Year break, though I cannot promise fast updates in future with school. TwT;;;
Hope you enjoy!
[Masterlist]
âWanna grab a drink?â
Venti was all too happy to receive an unexpected treat. You were pretty excited too. A drink with Mondstadtâs Archon? It was a dream come true!
âAre you really who they say that you are?â You asked as Venti chugged back half a mug of dandelion wine.
âThat Iâm Barbatos? Yes, yes, that is very much hic true.â
It has been his tenth cup of dandelion wine and he seems all set to drain you of your Mora.
âFirst off, could you chill on the wine? Youâre drinking way too fastâŚâ You were feeling a tinge of regret now as his face was turning a bright crimson red.
âCan we get a glass of water? Thanks!â You whispered to Diluc, who gave you a stoic nod. You bit back your smile. So handsomeâŚ
âHear ye! Hear ye! I hereby declare that every son and daughter of Monstadt hic should taste this! Finest of wines for the finest of people!â Venti was definitely drunk. You huffed in bemusement. Taking the mug of water Diluc had offered to you, you aimed your finger above the cup. Closing your eyes, you imagined 4 ice cubes forming and dropping into the cup.
With the sound of water splashing, you opened your eyes to see 4 cubes of ice in the cup. You grinned with glee.
âNow, drink this.â You offered it to Venti, who laughed and took a swig from that cursed mug. In exasperation, you grabbed the mug from him and willed for the liquid inside to freeze over.
âWha-hey!â Venti complained, pouting so adorably as he snatched it back to drink more but found it completely frozen.
âEnough, drink your water!â Venti reluctantly took it from you and drank it down.
âYou really should take care of yourself.â You sighed as he laid his head down on the wooden table. You and Venti sat in comfortable silence.
âAre you not going to drink?â Diluc asked as he swiftly polished a wine glass.
âIâm not really one for alcohol, they can be a tad too bitter for me. Perhaps someâŚGrape juice?â You hummed to yourself. You noticed the slight surprise in his eyes as you ordered his favourite drink from the menu.
â...Please wait a moment.â
âYou really do have strange clothes. Anyways, you have not introduced yourself to me even after all these hic drinks.â Venti balanced his head on his hand, detaching himself from lying on the table.
âIâm (F/N) (L/N). You could say that I kinda cameâŚA long long way from home.â You nervously laughed as Diluc raised an eyebrow.
âAha! No wonder I liked you! That sense of freedom to go exploring and adventuring!â Venti grinned. His flushed face was an indicator that he had too much to drink, even with the iced water you made for him.
âAhâŚAha, I didnât have a choice to. Itâs more of Fateâs Decision for me.â You pressed your hand against your chest self-consciously. You could feel the thrum of the Gnosis against your chest and hand.
âFate or not, you have a choice in everything you do and you chose the one you believed was right. Isnât that good enough?â Venti giggled.
âThatâsâŚThatâs about right.â
You were surprised. Even though he was not there, he seemed to know what you have been through and speak into your heart. You did have a choice and you picked what you thought was best.
âYou shouldnât be afraid of the path you chose. Just enjoy learning and walking on it.â Ventiâs eyes looked into yours and it felt as though he knew you for years.
â..WowâŚThanks. I really needed that.â You felt a weight lifted off your chest.
Diluc came with your drink in hand, pushing it onto the wooden table. You took a sip, reveling in the taste of grapes.
âYou may be a young Archon right now, but it will be okay. Youâll grow as it comes along, no sweat.â You blinked in surprise as he murmured softly. You had never mentioned your form to Venti.
âHow did you- We Archons can recognize when there is a new one among our ranks. But donât worry. Your secret is safe with me.â Venti winked, stage-whispering to you.
âButâŚWill everything be okay?â You wondered. You distinctly remembered that the Fatui were actively hunting for Archons and their Gnosises.
âThere is no sense in worrying on things you cannot control. Just do what you can.â Venti remarked, watching as the last customer staggered out of the door. Before you knew it, the moon was high in the sky.
âWâŚWhat about the Traveller?â Venti tilted his head in curiosity as you asked. He reminded you very much of a cat.
âUhhâŚAether?â You tried guessing.
âAh, he went off to Liyue days back. Heâs probably still there since the Lantern Rites are in a weekâs time.â Venti managed to defrost the last of his dandelion wine and casually sipped on it.
âAre you looking for them?â Diluc asked, his eyes studying you closely. While you had strange clothing, he could not sense any malicious intent. You tugged at your sailor school uniform self-consciously as he seemed to check you out.
âWell, maybe, kinda? They helped me out when I was in a pickle so I really wanted to thank them for it.â You inwardly gulped. You could feel Dilucâs eyes pierce you. Could he tell that you were lying?
âAh, maybe you should set off tomorrow. You might be able...to catch them there...â Venti finished off his wine before he slumped over the table, his eyes fluttering shut.
âHey! Donât sleep there!â You huffed as he seemed to black out. You heard the door open. The amicable spark in Dilucâs eyes vanished instantly and his shoulders stiffened. You knew one of the few people who could cause such a reaction.
Kaeya.
âAether mentioned that he would be visiting the different lands and Archons, perhaps you might be of assistance.â The blue-haired man sat himself beside you. The way he jumped into conversationâŚHad he been listening in this entire time?
You couldnât help but feel that something was off as Diluc stared at you. What is he planning?
âOhâŚI guess I need to get going for Liyue tomorrow, I suppose. Donât suppose you know of a good inn to stay in?â You stretched, trying to play off your nerves.
âYou can stay with me for the night.â Diluc interrupted Kaeya as he poised to open his mouth. Diluc wiped his hands with a towel before donning his gloves, barely concealing his contempt for his stepbrother.
You could feel your gulp echo in the room. The air had became so heavy.
âUh, you sure? I wouldnât want to imposeâŚâ He was unusuallyâŚkind. It was strange as he reminded you of the typical cold characters in your manga.
âI insist. Also, that will be 1000 mora.â
âAh.â
You handed up the payment for the drinks you had ordered for both Venti and yourself. As you stood to help Venti, Diluc pressed his hand against yours, stopping you from waking Venti from his wine-induced slumber. You felt your cheeks flush as you jerked back your hand.
âLeave him. He will be alright.â Diluc adjusted his gloves and coat. With a sharp jerk of his head, the bartender who was switching shifts hoisted the young boy up to the room above.
ââŚIf you say soâŚâ You nervously followed Diluc out to Dawn Winery.
Walking out of the walls of Monstadt, the questioning began.
âWhat will you do once you meet Aether?â
âThank him, maybe follow him if he allows for it? Since he is visiting the other Archons and lands, Iâd like to tag along to learn about them too.â You hummed.
ââŚIs that really all?â Diluc frowned.
âYes. Besides, I have absolutely nothing to gain if I try to hurt him. If you are still that suspicious, you could always tail or follow me. Though, that means you have toâŚabandon your responsibilities here.â You said as you massaged your neck.
âThat will not be a problem. You will find that my servants are well equipped to handle-â
âOh Mr Hero, I was not talking about your Winery, though that is a fair point.â You stole a glance at him.
Diluc was silent as you both saw the Winery in a distance.
ââŚHow did you know?â Diluc asked.
With a soft smile, you booped his nose, âThatâs classified.â
As you settled in, Diluc took a moment to take a breather while his maids handled everything. Despite his suspicions, you were right. He had responsibilities to take care of. He could not rely on the Knights to do his job.
âWell, looks like I need to call in a favourâŚâ Fetching a quill and some paper, he sealed the letter with wax.
âHead for the Umbrella Apothecary in Liyue and give this to the Healer who resides there.â As his servant bowed his head and disappeared into the shadows, Diluc sighed as he looked back towards your room. Â
While it was a relief to find out that you mean no harm to Mondstadt or Aether, he could not help his curiosity.
âClassified information, huh?â

Sunkissed Chocolates [Venti x Reader] [Genshin Impact]
A Valentines short story special! I am currently working on the second part to Zapped to another world so hang tight and enjoy this piece of work in the meantime!
[Masterlist]
Venti huffed in frustration as the scent of something burning filled the kitchen.
âWhy is it so difficult?â He complained as the chef of Good Hunter laughed.
He could see the love and effort that the young boy was making to create apple sweets for you. Venti hummed in mild annoyance as he dunked the pan into the soap waters of the sink.
âYou are sure makinâ a lot of effort for a friend.â The Chef smiled warmly.
âSheâs..! SheâsâŚMore than a friendâŚI love her.â Venti smiled.
âHow bout this? Letâs make some chocolate instead. Iâll teach you.â
âOkayâŚâ
You studied the metal surface of your flute, polishing off any cloudy marks. Satisfied that it is clean, you lifted it to your lips to play.
The way you met Venti was justâŚOrdinary. He was a bard and you were just a filial daughter to your drunkard of a father. His voice was so beautiful. When you entered the room, you felt your jaw dropped when Venti sang for his mug of dandelion wine. If it were day time, you were certain every bird would fall silent just to hear him.
Tapping your toes against the carpet grass as you played a soft, lilting tune, you sensed light footsteps behind you.
Venti sat beside you, being careful not to disturb you. You smiled as he did so.
As you played on, Venti began humming along, softly harmonizing with your playing. Â He swayed with your music, a calm and happy smile on his face.
You found that you were right. As he hummed, you heard every bird in the area fall silent. You brought the song to an end, carefully putting away the precious instrument.
ââŚI have not heard that song before, whatâs its name?â Venti asked.
âHmm, it is a work in progress, ehe,â You smiled sheepishly.
âItâs the love song I was making for youâŚâ You thought, wincing to yourself.
âItâs beautiful, much like you.â The way the sun shone on his eyes as the sky turned golden was breath-taking. You couldnât help but feel warmth in your chest as you grew conscious of his hand inching to yours.
âDo you know what day it is?â Venti asked. His hand nervously wrapped around a gift-wrapped package, which he hid behind his lyre.
âHmmâŚMy birthday?â You teased as his smile flickered for a second.
âJust kidding, I know itâs Valentineâs Day. I was going to play you a song butâŚyou already heard it heheâŚâYou embarrassedly scratched the back of your head. Venti chuckled and watched as you reached into your pockets.
âHold on, I prepared another gift!âÂ
You pulled out a long trinket. It had several beads of crystals threaded together, with a feather tied to its end.
âTada~ This is an amulet to keep you safe and to give you good luck. I had Mona teach me how to make it, I really hope you like it!â Venti felt his heart warm at the handmade gift. He swiftly took it and attached it to his orb.
The beads caught the sunlight and shimmered brightly as he bounded around happily. Â
âOh! I got you something too! Open it, open it!â Venti pulled out his gift, offering it to you. Venti felt nervous as you did so. Will she like it?
Carefully pulling off the wrapping and lifting the lid, you gaped as you saw a boxful of chocolates. You could not fight off your smile as you spied heart-shaped chocolates in the box. Or at least, what you thought were heart-shaped chocolates.
âVenti, thank you, did you make these?â Chocolates were hard to find in Monstadt, so they either had to be custom-ordered through Good Hunter or self-made.
âYup, making sweets is hard but it should taste good!âÂ
It was now, or never. You finally made your move as you finally held his hand.
âThank youâŚIâm really happy to have met you. Youâve brought so much life and light since I met you and I donât think I can imagine spending a day without you. IâŚâYou could hear your voice shake with nervousness as you felt his blue-green eyes look at you.
You suddenly felt his lips against your forehead and his arms pulling your head into his chest.
âI love you too, (Y/N).â You hugged him back as he sat beside you again, watching the sun set on Monstadt, with your hands and hearts linked together.
 BONUS
âI never knew you were such a romantic bard, these heart-shaped chocolates are so cute!â You exclaimed as you picked one up.
âT-Thatâs supposed to be an appleâŚâ
âWha-what? Wait, then what about this cabbage?â
ââŚA roseâŚâ
âT-Then what about this box of leaves?â
ââŚ.A treasure chestâŚâ
Venti refused to look at you as you burst into peals of laughter. You popped the chocolate into your mouth before feeding him a piece.
âDonât worry, we can learn and practice together.â
ââŚPromise?â
âI promise.â

Zapped to Another World
Genshin Impact x Fem!Reader
I wrote this in my spare time when I was working back in November and thought that I should share this ^-^Â
Depending on the comments/notes and if I have spare time, I may be updating this.Â
[Masterlist]
The rain poured down your umbrella. The clouds coloured the sky a dark grey as you ran for the bus. You sighed as you reached the traffic light. Yup, you were definitely not going to be able to catch it now.
School had ended for the year, which meant more free time for you and the new game you had recently gotten into. Genshin Impact.
You could not help but smile at the thought of it. With school out of the picture, you could finally focus on the game completely. There was so many things to do. Farming for artifacts, completing your daily commissionsâŚ
You sloshed your way over as the lights turned green. While you love that school is out, you honestly hated the wet weather that came with the winter break and the feeling of wet socks on your feet. After safely crossing the road, you winced as a white truck rushed by, soaking your clothes through as the giant puddle you have been trying to avoid poured onto your skirt and legs.
You let out a sigh as you quickly took shelter under a tree nearby to try and wring out the remaining water when it happened.
âJust my luckâŚâYou muttered as you clumsily balanced your umbrella, âCan it get any worse?â
Just as those words left your lips, it happened. A white flash lit the sky for a brief second. But it was too late. Thousands of volts came cascading upon your body and everything turned white.
âThis is your fault.â You heard a voice. It sounded like a young, sulky boy.
âHow is this my fault? Youâre the one who lashed out when I put down that +4 card down.â
âTHAT AINâT FAIR STILL! I WAS SO CLOSE TO WINNING AND YOU BLEW IT!â
âUhâŚWhatâs going on?â You blinked as your vision settled. You sat in what looked like a library of sorts, with several shelves lining the walls and a long white and gold marble table in the centre of it all. A girl with long, platinum hair glared down at her male counterpart, who huffed in annoyance.
âHow about you explain it to her, Artem.â
âSorry, but I donât speak to cheaters.â
âOh for gods sake- fine. We apologize for uhmâŚKilling you. Truly, a thousand apologies. If only someone can control their temper for once in their life-â The girl shot a dirty look at Artem.
âLIKE YOU ARE ONE TO TALK! SOLARIA, YOU SINGED MY EYEBROWS OVER KILLING YOU IN AMONG US!â
âWell excuse you! My anger was perfectly justified! You voted me out even when I told you the truth and that I was innocent!â
âDO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO EMBROIDER AND GROOM THEM BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN?â
âCould you guys please stop fighting for 10 seconds?â You yelled over the noise. The girl and boy finally stopped, leaving you to rub at your ringing ears.
You sighed. Kids were always a handful back in your home. You had to take care of your cousins whenever your aunt was over, and it often resulted with your ears ringing and your head pounding.
âWhatâs done is done. IâmâŚwell, dead and I seriously have no idea where I am.â You said, trying to stay composed.
âWellâŚIn your human terms, this is kind of like the After Life.â The boy, Artem explained, sighing as he put down his Uno cards.
âOr well, it shouldnât sinceâŚYou were supposed to live for like, another 50 to 60 years. But someone messed it up.â The girl, Solaria, summoned a book from a shelf. You blinked as a weathered leather book with gilded, golden pages floated down onto the table.
âShut up. I said that I was sorry, didnât I?â Artem groaned.
âSir Artem, are you losing your braincells? I was the one who apologized. You still owe the human an apology.â Solaria bit back icily. Â
With a wave of her hand, the pages of the book flipped and she studied it carefully for a minute before looking back up.
âWell, as a soul now, you have an option. You can go into Elysium or be reincarnated.â Solaria sighed as Artem huffed again.
âHuh. What do you know? Elysium sounds real good right about now-âYou thought out loud as Artemâs eyes turned wide with fear.
âPlease donât go into Elysium!â Artem yelled. The books shook in the shelves as his voice echoed.
âOw, inside voice please? Hasnât your mother taught you better?â You winced in pain. It seems that immortals had a throat of steel, judging from the way they could shout infinitely.
âIâm really sorry, but if Dad finds out I brought in another human because I accidentally killed themâŚHeâs going to banish meâŚTo EarthâŚâ Artem looked down onto the table.
He was unable to meet your eyes as you stared at him with bemusement.
âYeah, as much as I hate to say it, pleaseâŚReconsider on our offer to reincarnate. He is on thin ice with Father and if he is banished, Iâd have to take on his duties as well. Iâm pretty exhausted with the workload as it is.â Solaria sighed.
âAs long as itâs not Earth, Iâm cool with it.â You looked up at the ceiling, which took your breath away. The entire solar system was on it. With it, was the familiar sphere of white, green and blue.
âHm, that is easy enough. I could reincarnate you into my world.â Artem brightened up.
Solaria sighed with relief.
âAnd to make up for it, I could buff you up with a couple of blessings here and there-â
âWithin reason.â Solaria cut in, with a sharp look at Artem.
âPsssh, as if itâs hard to make a Gnosis.â Artem had considerably relaxed after hearing your statement.
âAre you serious? Donât you even know the situation down at Teyvat?!â Your eyes widened. Were they talking about what you were thinking of?
Artem rose to his feet, the ivory wings on his lower back flaring. His eyes gleamed gold as he stared down his sister.
âItâs my world. I do what I like with it. If you donât like it, get a world of your own.â
âYou only got your world because Mother took pity on you. Donât act all big when you have killed so many humans.â Â Solaria hummed, rolling her eyes.
âIâll only grant this human the bare minimum. Anything more, and Iâll let Father know of your deeds thus far, even if it means more work for me.â Solaria glared back. Her eyes gleamed silver as she did so. You felt a shiver run down your spine.Â
âThatâs all that Iâll need then. Work on your blessings and gifts. Iâll work on mine.â Artem turned away from his sister. The siblings set to work, the atmosphere of ice cold professionalism now in the air.
Solaria rose from her place on the table. With a flick of a finger, the Uno cards vanished with a burst of gold sparkles. The leather book floated beside her as she constantly referred to its pages while flying around the room.
âHmmâŚNot much of a combatant, I see. Polearms and swords will probably be hard for you. PerhapsâŚA catalyst?â She pulled out a bright blue book adorned in gold, with feathers sticking out.
Blowing off any dust from the beautiful book, she casually tossed it over her shoulder and onto you. You instinctively brought your arms up to protect your face but as the book hit your arms, it disappeared into a burst of gold.
âHuh?â You blinked as you saw the book reappear beside you, its pages flipping.
Solaria returned with a satchel and a bag of gold coins. Looking satisfied as she noticed the book beside you, she inserted the bag of coins into the satchel before sliding it over your shoulder. Solaria hummed to herself before smiling again.
Reaching behind her neck, Solaria detached a shimmering teardrop necklace before slipping it around yours.
âThereâs nothing special about it, apart from it glowing. I thought it would be a nice touch.â Solaria winked at you.Â
Tilting your chin up, you froze with shock as she pressed her lips against yours.
âWHAT WAS THAT FOR?â You felt heat rush to your cheeks.
âOh, please. Donât be flustered. That was merely a blessing of mine. It will help you when you need to speak with the natives of the land.â Solaria coolly said as she wiped her mouth. Â
You were still reeling in shock. Your throat seemed to tighten as you coughed.Â
â..Thank you, for agreeing with us on our selfish request. To be forcibly stripped of our powers can be the worst pain and humiliation a god or goddess can bear.â Solaria murmured to you as she hurried to the end of the room, where she knelt and seemed to draw symbols in gold.
You held back your tongue. âWhat about me? I got zapped to death here.â You thought to yourself.
âIt is done. Please step into that summoning circle there.â Artem held a floating, golden cylinder in his hands. Solaria rose from her place on the floor, gesturing for you to come over.
It was a Gnosis! You were quick to obey as you hurried to Solariaâs side.
Stepping into the centre, you turned to face Artem and Solaria, who stood side by side. They flared their wings as you sensed an energy swirl around you.
âI, Artem, God of the Moon, grant you passage and dominion over my world, Teyvat. Do you accept, (Y/N) (L/N)?â Artemâs voice echoed in your ears.
âI accept.â As the words left your lips, the Gnosis within his hands flew into your chest. You gasped as it did so, a heat spreading rapidly across your chest.
âBe safe on your travels, (Y/N) (L/N).â Solaria flashed a warm smile as you coughed.
âResigno!â
The gold summoning circle glowed bright blue and you found yourself falling through the blue skies.
You screeched ungracefully as you fell from the sky headfirst. The green grass was coming up way too fast.Â
âAm I going to die again?â You thought as you held out your arms to break your fall, only for a huge gust of wind to cushion your fall.Â
âHuh?â You blinked in surprise as a person clad in green floated beside you.Â
It was a young boy with 2 braids, which gleamed blue in the light. His eyes were a beautiful mix of green and blue.Â
âVenti?â You gaped as he grabbed your hands and guided you back onto the ground.Â
âNever thought Iâd have an audience during my practice session. Are you okay?â Venti grinned at you.Â
âNever...Never better. Thank you...âYou gave a thumbs up as you got air back into your lungs again.Â
His deft fingers plucked at his harp as he sat down on the soft grass.Â
âItâs no problem. But what brings you here anyways? Not many people know of this spot.â Venti tilted his head. It seemed as though you uncovered his secret place.Â
âI- uh well...Accidents happen. Iâm not a mad fan or a stalker, I swear. Well, maybe I am a fan but still.â You rambled but you forced yourself to stop talking and to breath. Venti is real and he is in front of me. Venti is real and he is in front of me.Â
Your heart was beating fast.Â
âI should say something smart, introduce myself or something.â You thought to yourself as you composed yourself.Â
You wanted to at least tell him your name but the words are out faster than you can stop them.Â
âWanna grab a drink?â Â

Make a Wish [Chapter 8]
Zen x Reader
Mystic Messenger x Puella Magi Madoka Magica
With one impulsive wish, comes many dangers and responsibilities.
[Masterlist]
Saeyoung cursed himself as he finally put the pieces together. It did not take him long, looking through the security footages that had your face in it, the way you disappeared into alleyways, your face in isolated areas, namely the detergent factory.Â
Of course, he had looked into Ae-Ri, Soo-Jin and Chika. Young schoolgirls with a habit of breaking into isolated buildings and locked-off rooftops. Or so it would seem.
Upon further research, he found article after article about Magical Girls and everything he learned coincided with everything he knew about you.Â
âYouâre here at last.â Saeyoung heard the door of the RFA apartment close and your hurried footsteps.Â
âSeven...â He felt his heart soften as he looked into your warm eyes. He liked you. He really did.Â
But there was no denying of your selfish actions.Â
â...Iâll try to make this short. Why are you here?â Saeyoung pushed away his half-empty can of Doctor Pepper.Â
â...For Zen...I made a wish to be here for Zen...â You reluctantly revealed. You looked down in shame as his eyes bored into your soul. He finally let out a heavy exhale through his nose.
âYour wish...It has complicated this very universe you were in as well as this one. With the existence of these white fairies, innocent girls are being turned into Girls just like you. And do you want to know what happens to them in the end?âÂ
You blinked in surprise as he pushed forward a blurred image of a Witch and a Grief Seed.Â
âWhat are you trying to say?âÂ
âYouâll turn into this, in time.âÂ
You felt your heart sink.Â
âThere is no happily ever after. All girls who came in contact with this white fairy that grants wishes dies or disappears. And in their place, this appears.âÂ
The implications were clear. You would turn into a Witch eventually.Â
âNo...â
There is no happily ever after. Â
âNo.â
You will turn into a Witch.Â
âI wonât accept this! I..I canât...â Saeyoung could only look in pity as he saw your eyes filled with fear and horror.Â
âAt least...I would have been with Hyun...â You thought as you gazed on his photo on your lockscreen. You felt your bottom lip tremble. Was there really no happy end after all?Â
âAll I can say...Is please...Donât harm the RFA. We might not mean anything to you but I really love them like my family.âÂ
âWhat makes you think I donât love them? Why do you think I made this stupid wish? I love Zen. I love the RFA. I love being with you, it hurts. And it hurts knowing...Knowing what will happen in future.â Saeyoungâs heart felt as though you had punched and shoved it down his stomach.Â
And seeing your tear-filled face...His body moved before he could think.Â
Saeyoung brought you to his chest, stroking your head.Â
You felt his warmth and welcomed it as you processed the devastating news.Â
â...Iâm sorry, Y/N...But I have more news and you are not going to like it.âÂ
After calming yourself down, wiping off the snot and tears and with a sip of his Doctor Pepper, you braced yourself for more.Â
âAccording to what I have found in forums and past records, there is this.â Switching the paper to another, you gaped as you saw another blurred image of a giant Witch floating amongst buildings in what looked like New York.Â
âThey call it Walpurgis Night...And if my calculations are correct, it will be here in 2 weeks.âÂ

Make a Wish [Chapter 7]
Zen x Reader
Mystic Messenger x Puella Magi Madoka Magica
With one impulsive wish, comes many dangers and responsibilities.
[Masterlist]
Hyun was incredible. His gentle smiles, his sweet, melodious laughter when you flirted back and God, did I mention his smiles?!
âPlease donât overwork yourself, okay?â You eyed his ankles, biting back your sigh as you recounted his story in your game. To be honest, you had not planned that there would be this much difference now that you have gotten to this point.Â
âHm? Is the little lady worried for me?â Hyun teased, a playful smile on his beautiful face.Â
You felt like the air in your body had been yanked out of you as he aimed a deadly-cute smile at you.Â
Heat rushed to your cheeks, âM-maybe...Just...Promise me ok?âÂ
Your phone rang again.Â
âSeven...?â You blinked in surprise. You certainly did not recall receiving a call from Seven in a matter of a few hours. You felt an ominous feeling pool in your stomach.Â
âGive me a moment.â You excused yourself from the table. You were definitely caught off guard when his cold voice spoke over the speakers of your phone.Â
âDid you really think you could sneak in here without my knowledge?â
âW-what are you talking about, Seven?â A cold laugh responded to your question.Â
âDo you have any idea what you have done?â You could hear his disgust.Â
âTrading your own soul like that...Cutting yourself off from the people who care for you...Are you really that desperate? And in doing so, you brought those creatures into our...Forget it.â
âSeven? What are you talking about?â
âOh Y/N...You know exactly what Iâm talking about, little Magical Girl. Iâll see you soon.âÂ
Seven was never this...Animus...But if he knew what he said he did...
âSorry, Zenny. I need to go off now...For an interview. Love you!â The last two words slipped out before you knew it and the damage was done as you swept off. His face flushed pink.Â
âI-I love you too.â

Happy Birthday! (RFA x Reader)
You felt unsettled as Yoosungâs hands covered your eyes as Hyun held your hand, gently guiding you along. You could feel that you were on the roof as the cool night air kissed your skin.
âHow much further?â You asked, hearing movement through the darkness.
âAlmost there...!â Yoosung answered as he shuffled carefully you behind you.Â
âYouâre doing so well, sweetheart!â Hyunâs voice continued. The boys had picked you up from your workplace with a limo, with Yoosung insisting that he would cover your eyes while Hyun would hold your hand âlike a knightâ.Â
âAnd...Now!âÂ
âHappy Birthday (Y/N)!â Your vision lit up in various different colors as Seven hollered at the top of his voice, aggressively brandishing his Supreme cash gun.Â
âHow did he even get that ba-!â Jaehee was rudely interrupted by a mouthful of Supreme cash as Seven went ballistic.Â
Jumin held Elizabeth the Third in his arms as he glared at Seven.Â
âMr Han? Werenât you in charge of keeping it away from him?â Jaehee coughed.Â
âHe threatened the safety of Elizabeth. Poor Elizabeth...She must have been so frightened.â Jumin stroked her fur.Â
âYa! I told you not to bring that thing in here!â Zen yelled as he saw the white cat.
âElizabeth the Third is not a thing.â Jumin responded as he continued to stroke her pristine white fur.
âAAAACHOOO!âÂ
âMake a wish, (Y/N).â Yoosung smiled at you as you laughed at the chaos going on around you.Â
Bowing your head as you clasped your hands together, you proceeded to blow the candles as trumpets blew from the little party cannons Seven had made.Â
Carefully slicing the cake with Jaehee, you couldnât stop laughing and smiling. The roof party on the C&R Roof was spectacular. The intricate metal arches were decorated with bright streamers and the flowers on the flower bushes around were in full bloom. The cake was delicious as well.
âHappy Birthday, (Y/N). Come say hello to Elizabeth the Third. This is your first ever meeting with her after all.â Jumin beamed gently at you as he let Elizabeth the Third lie on his lap while he sat on one of the stone seats around.
Distinctly, you heard Hyun mutter something along the lines of âFilthy rich Trust Fund kidâ but you dismissed it as the wind.
You gently stroked her fur as several bodyguards formed a protective circle around Jumin and Elizabeth the Third.Â
All these people for just one cat...?Â
Through the hedge of security guards, you noticed Seven looking longingly at Elizabeth the Third.Â
Stifling a laugh, you felt the cat settle on your lap. Passing your camera to one of the security to take a photo, you waved the RFA over.Â
âDo we have to?â Jumin looked at you as you waved Seven over.Â
âIâll take care of her. Câmon, just imagine her looking so beautiful in the photo later. It will be worth it.â You beamed at Jumin as RFA gathered around for a photo.Â
â1..2...3...Cheese!â The sound of the camera went off and the precious memory was saved into your phone.Â
As you took your phone back, you smiled happily as you saw each and every member smile back through the photo. (Except maybe Hyun as he seemed to be grimacing more than grinning.)
âI love you...I love you all...Iâm really happy to have stayed here...You guys really mean the world to me...â You uttered your thoughts as the RFA smiled at you.Â
âLikewise.â Jumin smiled back.Â
âIâm glad that youâre here too. Your encouragement has always meant the world to me...â Jaeheeâs eyes seemed to glisten.Â
âSame for me too! Iâm so glad that the RFA is happy and active like before!â Yoosung settled on the long stone seat as well, looking up into the sky.Â
âI can say the same thing too. Youâve done so much for all of us, even when we were practically strangers. Iâm just glad the god of fate allowed us to meet.â Hyun seemed to have taken his cat allergy medicine as he gingerly patted at his leaking nose with a handkerchief.Â
â...Just...Donât install anymore weird apps or talk to strangers again, okay?â Seven turned to you at last, a small smile on his face.Â
Laughing and nodding, you stared up into the glittering night sky with them. Linking your hands with the members, you sighed in satisfaction.
âHappy Birthday (Y/N)...And thank you for everything. You mean the world to us too.â Â
Author Note: Itâs my birthday today! So since it is my birthday, I hope to celebrate it with everyone with this story! Thank you guys for the support and for enjoying my stories!

Make a Wish [Chapter 6]
Zen x Reader
Mystic Messenger x Puella Magi Madoka Magica
With one impulsive wish, comes many dangers and responsibilities.
[Masterlist]
You just finished another chatroom for the day. It was going well. Zen had been offered a role. You knew what was coming as you reread the chats. You had done his route before.Â
Yet what was this anxious feeling within?Â
Ring...Ring...
You realized your phone was ringing and picked it up right away.Â
"Hello?" You asked as you checked the caller ID. It was Seven.Â
"Oh! You picked up right away! I must be the chosen man!~" Seven said in a singsong voice.Â
"Gosh, I'm already injured enough. Ugh~ I surrender! White flag!~ I'm dead!" Seven whined as you laughed.Â
"I'm tired so tired...I don't think my work will ever end...One leads to another and then another and then another~" You could see him in your mind's eye waving a white flag.Â
"I guess you're having a tough time..." You felt bad for the poor hacker.Â
"Today's been unusually tough but...How's work for the RFA? Is it okay?" Seven asked good-naturedly," That wasn't what I was gonna say actually."
"You know, what did you do before you came to RFA? Can you tell me?" Seven probed.Â
"It's a secret! Shhh~" You said, shushing him jokingly.Â
"A secretive woman. Should I try hacking into your computer?" Seven teased as you laughed it off.Â
"What?"Â
"Nothing. It slipped out." Seven tried to pretend he did not just say that.Â
"I don't know how to hack!! This call isn't tapped just for my benefit!! I wanted to make you laugh...But I think my joking mechanism is broken right now." Seven confessed.Â
"You know...When I'm depressed, I stare at the sky. Try that when you feel down." Seven suggested as you inwardly sighed. You knew of his struggles. As much as you cared for every member of RFA, your heart still belonged to Zen.Â
"The sky is right up there, but people don't really look at it. Unless you work near an observatory or on a boat... Don't you think that's such a shame?" Seven asked.Â
"It won't be bad to look up at the sky and yell 'Defender of Justice Seven Zero Seven, help me!' too." Seven said, "There's a 0.0001% chance I might appear right in front of your eyes!"Â
"Defender of Justice Seven Zero Seven, help me!!" You couldn't stop giggling to yourself.Â
"...Wow, you're quick to act! You're so my type. I almost got excited there just now!" Seven chuckled in response.Â
"I wish people who work with me are quick to act like you~ They're so boring. So if I wanna have fun at work, I have to give myself some character~" Seven whined.Â
"I should go and stretch a bit...The bad thing about this job is that you don't get enough exercise. Of course, sometimes I have to go to risky places and steal information...So I have to take care of my body if I want to do fieldwork...But racing isn't always enough, haha..." Seven sighed.
"Oh, when I say stretch, I don't mean physically, I mean mentally," Seven added.Â
"Working at a convenience store isn't that fun either." You mused out loud as you empathized with the overworked hacker. He laughed at that in response.Â
"Looks like we both got the short end of the stick. I'm going to mess with Yoosung tonight. My poor plastic model's been sacrificed. I can't just sit still and let this one go. I'll teach him a lesson!" Seven gleefully announced.Â
"Oh right, no spoilers, okay? These things are best when they come out of the blue."Â
"Aye aye, Captain." You chuckled to yourself as you remembered. Seven was going to trick Yoosung into drinking a lot of chocolate milk.Â
"Then, see you later! BAAM!" Seven hung up.Â
You laid back into the cushy bed, exhaling through your nose. You would text the girls, but you knew that it was still school hours for them.Â
Getting back up, you heard your stomach growl.Â
'It can't be helped...'Â You slid off the cotton sheets. You decided to grab some cup noodles from the convenience store when your eyes found...Him.
If he was breathtaking in his photos, he was heart-wrenching to look at in real life. You felt your grip on your cup noodles slacken. Your jaw dropped. As he walked by you, Zen noticed your awestruck expression.Â
With a knowing smirk, he delivered the finishing blow as he winked at you. He bent over to pick up the cup noodle that rolled slightly away. Â
You let out an inward scream. The cheeky little...!
"Zen...? That's you, right?" You managed to get your jaw functioning again. Thank you, God, for everything, oh my God ohmagawd OHMAGAWD! Â
"Hm? Yes, it's yours truly. Are you my fan?" He beamed.Â
"I-I...Yes, huge fan! I'm so happy to finally see you..." You could feel emotional tears rise from your tear ducts.Â
Do you know who I am? What if I told you who I am? Should I tell you who I am?Â
Your mind was going crazy as he passed you your cup noodles.Â
"What's your name?" Zen asked, a gentle smile on his face. Aw hell.
"It's (Y/N)...(Y/N) (L/N)." You smiled meekly in response as he connected the dots on his own.
"Wait, that means...Are you the one in the RFA chat?" It was his turn for his jaw to drop.Â
"Ehe...Hi there..?" Zen felt his heart warm as you gave a tiny wave.Â
"The God of fortune must be smiling down at me! What are you doing here?" Zen felt an urge to hug you but resisted as he moved aside to let a customer move past.Â
"I was just getting lunch...?" You felt a threatening aura come from the white-haired man.Â
"U-Uhm...Yes?" You felt a sweatdrop slide down your back.Â
"Put that back and come with me. I'll make you something good at home."
You felt your heart jump as he flashed you a smile. Yup, you did not regret your choice in finding him.Â

[Log 1: 24/6/2020]
Iâll be making these writing logs from time to time to let off some steam! And of course, for some glorious spoilers from time to time. Iâm honestly thankful to the person who sent the wonderful ask about the story. If not for the ask, I probably would not have been as motivated as I was to complete the 5th chapter in Make a Wish.Â
So if you are reading this, thank you anon!Â
That said, on another note, the formatting for the story has been a nightmare so far and Iâm not sure why paragraph breaks are not appearing when I view my stories after editing. Please do let me know if the stories appear clunky on your end! Iâll try to fix it as soon as I can.Â
Been replaying MysMes after a long time and...I canât help falling in love again with the characters. Hats off to Cheritz, for creating such beautiful characters. Itâs 3am and my body clock is messed up after writing, editing and updating my masterlist.Â
But if you guys enjoy it (and I really hope you do), it is all worth it.Â
Especially if you leave a nice ask or comment or a like. I feel so happy when I know that you all enjoy my work.Â
Off to sleep now, letâs hope my clock will fix itself soon.Â
