Ecos de Umbra 1-2

Hello everyone! After many failed attempts to find a comic project that truly motivated me, I finally gathered the courage to start Ecos de Umbra. It’s an idea I’ve had in mind for a long time, born from my love for the Jak and Daxter universe.

This fan comic begins right at the end of Jak 3 and asks a question: What if the Precursors didn’t tell the whole truth about the Dark Makers? What if those dark-eco-corrupted machines weren’t exactly what we were told?

The story aims to expand the world, answer unresolved questions, and raise new ones. While I try to stay true to the canon, I’ve taken some creative liberties (and yes, there are lots of OCs!).

I’m also creating this as a way to practice, so you’ll see changes in the art, evolution, and maybe even some small experiments along the way. But most importantly: I’ll be posting one page per week. I truly hope you enjoy this journey with me.

¡Hola a todos! Después de muchos intentos fallidos por encontrar un proyecto de cómic que me motivara de verdad, por fin me animé con Ecos de Umbra. Es una idea que llevaba guardada mucho tiempo y que nace del amor que tengo por el universo de Jak and Daxter.

Este cómic comienza justo al final de Jak 3 y propone una pregunta: ¿Y si los Precursores no dijeron toda la verdad sobre los Oscuradores? ¿Y si aquellas máquinas corrompidas por eco oscuro no eran exactamente lo que nos contaron?

La historia busca expandir el mundo, resolver dudas pendientes y proponer otras nuevas. Aunque trato de respetar el canon, me he tomado ciertas licencias creativas (¡y sí, hay muchos OCs!).

Lo he creado también como una forma de practicar, así que veréis evolución en el arte, cambios, y posiblemente algún que otro experimento. Pero lo más importante: subiré una página cada semana. Espero de corazón que os guste y que este viaje lo disfrutemos juntos.

ok ok, so since Mephiles is one half of a god I'm thinking in this universe metal heads and precursors are two halves of one god like species that were split in half at some point. Precursors represent creation, control and balance, and Metalheads are consumption, chaos and destruction.

Mephiles doesn't want to be reunited with the precursors here tho, more like absorb their power so he feels whole again without losing control.

Hello everyone!

Today is Storyboard Monday! So if you want to avoid spoilers, you might want to skip these pages.

But first of all, I want to say thank you so much for all the support I've received so far — even though only the first two pages of the comic are out! I really hope that as the story unfolds, you'll enjoy it more and more.

Remember, the next comic page will be released this Saturday, but in the meantime, here’s the storyboard for pages 8 to 10!

Aunque primero de todo quisiera dar las gracias al montón de apoyo que estoy teniendo pese a solo haber subido las dos primeras páginas. Espero que como vaya desarrollándolo todo os guste. What are you thoughts on the black doom? Since they are partially responsible for shadow creation and I guess are similar to the metal heads where they go planet to planet and destroy everything.

I'll do my best to try to make lore for this

So Metalheads, Precursors and Dark Makers are all parts of one greater being that was split into three.

Precursors try to protect everything they made from the other halves, Metalheads try to destroy everything so only they are left to rule, and Dark Makers try to consume all other living things to be a part of them. Dark eco is a creation of the Dark Makers for that purpose.

Shadow isn't a creation of Black Doom in this crossover, but the two do have a connection due to Shadow using Dark eco.

I wanna also clarify that I don't view these Precursors as "good people". They protect like the way your immune system fights viruses. If they were given the trolly problem and you were the single person on the track, better believe you're getting left as roadkill, doesn't matter if you two were buddy buddy before.

These guys are on even footing with each other, so if they want to be the winner, they have to have greater numbers/more powerful beings on their side. The Precursors have team sonic, and the other two each have their own army.

Lets say Gerald worked with the Dark Makers and now Ivo works with the Metalheads.
