Opinions on D & prequelgate

This is owing to an ask that I got. I have no strong thoughts on D and I even empathize with a her a bit vis a vis her marriage to JA coz the dynamic seems weird to me and that’s about it. People choose to stay married for hundreds of reasons sometimes just coz it’s easier than getting a divorce and that’s fine tbh. I don’t care either way. What ticks me off or rather irritates me about her though is the snarky comments she would make about Jared and how she would try and kinda diminish his work on the show while subsequently propping up Misha with the sole aim to probably be able to take over the SPN brand one day with Jensen. This is what I think at least retrospectively. I genuinely believe that Jared (and probably by extension Gen) suffered a lot through those last couple of years on SPN and he really swallowed a lot from different people. From the shippers online to the those behind the scenes different things really weighing on him. I cannot explain the difference between the Jared from then to now. However, given the kind of person he is he just treaded on and was graceful through the whole thing but when prequel gate happened I think that really was the last straw for him. He got really hurt by it coz I think he never expected Jensen to go behind his back like that. Through the whole thing he genuinely believed that Jensen had his back but when that was not the case it really threw him off into renegotiating that relationship. In a way, I am super glad this happened. Just think about it, if there are so many things that we can connect retrospectively that were done to him, imagine how many more things must be going on behind the scenes that he would have connected when he thought about it later.

That’s what pissing off about D tbh, how she thought she could put Jared down and didn’t understand that he simply respected or was graceful towards her coz of Jensen. I am so glad that after prequel gate Jared didn’t even bother with her after that and neither did Gen. Like he actively ignored her and that’s honestly my position on her as well.

Jared and Gen love and respect each other and it's very evident in the way they interact. When Gen called it "Walker Poker", Jared very sweetly corrected her that it's a brand. There was no unnecessary sarcasm or a laugh at someone else's expense and that's how it should be

Jared is a sweetheart when it comes to being a girl dad. "Obviously, our daughter gets the biggest room". His big grin when Dot wraps her hands around his leg. The nom nom nom sound he makes when she feeds him a berry but he doesn't stop there. He encourages Dot to feed one to Gen too. Jared and Gen share a love that we mostly see in our parents' relationship..
