Note
Hello Angel,
I am asking for prayers right now because I have found myself in a sticky situation. There is a relationship I need to put behind me. I need to break up with my queer partner and it is harder than I thought it was gonna be. I've broken up with them before but felt so lonely and scared that I went back to them--but I know I want to be Catholic in practice as well as baptism. I just need prayers that I will be stronger this time and that I get the courage to do it. I also need help with my struggles with erotica and porn.
Thank you for your prayers and I hope all is well with you and I will be praying for you as well. God bless.
Good Evening!,
It’s not easy for sure, I know people who have gone through the same thing you are going through right now this moment. God is going to be with you every step of the way and He loves you. When we need to break up someone for the better, what we need to do is recognize forgiveness, show mercy, and then establish respectful boundaries (for example, you can stay friends in contact but no longer have a romantic relationship). Boundaries also go for temptation which leads to sin. Avoid the things, places, and things which lead you to sin. Once you get rid of bad material things, links, music, foods, etc, replace it with what is good, true, and holy. God has a plan for each of us and He sees what you are going through right now, He knows your heart. With God, nothing is impossible. Don’t give up! Jesus waits for any time you need it at confession.
I’ll pray for you. You’re welcome! Awww I appreciate your prayers for me, I need them so I can get over this cold quick. May God bless you.

“Pentecost” by Jean Restout II
Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created,
and you shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
O God, who have taught the hearts of the faithful
by the light of the Holy Spirit,
grant that in the same Spirit we may be truly wise
and ever rejoice in his consolation.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Text excerpted from the first fragment of Saint-Just's Fragments sur les institutions républicaines, translation is my own (so usual terms and conditions apply) + full text, painting names, etc. can be found under the cut!
Full text is as follows:
"Scipio was accused; he exonerated himself by setting his entire life before his accusers: he was assassinated soon after. Hence the Gracchi died; hence Demosthenes passed at the feet of statued gods; hence they immolated Sidney, Barneveldt; hence end all those who are made formidable by an incorruptible courage. Great men do not die in their beds."
Paintings (in order of appearence, with links to where they're sourced from):
Scipio Africanus Freeing Massiva - Giovanni Battista Tiepolo
The Generosity of Scipio - Jean II Restout
Cornelia, Mother of the Gracchi, Pointing to Her Children as Her Treasures - Angelica Kauffman
Demosthenes Practicing Oratory - Jean-Jules-Antoine Lecomte du Nouÿ

Portrait of a Carthusian Monk, Jean Restout II, c. 1715, Minneapolis Institute of Art: Paintings
Jean Restout II specialized in religious subjects, producing work that found great favor with France’s monasteries. This vivid image of a monk is among several early paintings by Restout depicting members of the Carthusian order and its founder, Saint Bruno. The reclusive Carthusians, recognized by their shaved heads and hooded white clothing, lived in solitude and poverty, copying books and contemplating the contents. This man’s identity is unknown. The delicate modulation of light across his face reveals his wrinkled brow and five o’clock shadow. Restout’s skillful modeling of the hands and white habit makes them appear tangible. Size: 39 x 28 in. (99.06 x 71.12 cm) (canvas) Medium: Oil on canvas

Looking up in the south aisle in the Saint Maur chapel at “The Apotheosis of Saint Maur” (1752) A work painted by Jean II Restout. This was restored with the rest on the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, Paris. It’s wonderful to actually see what is painted up on this naturally lit small dome in the church. . . . #paris #saintmaur #parisjetaime #parislife #parisart #parismonamour #parismaville #parislove #pariscity #villedeparis #iloveparis #parisfind (at Saint-Germain-des-Prés) https://www.instagram.com/p/CU7hmKutvbU/?utm_medium=tumblr

Pentecost—God’s Love Ablaze — Integrated Catholic Life™
“La Pentecôte” (The Pentecost) by Jean II Restout “Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says ‘Jesus be cursed!’ and no one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3). “Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will…
