Needs a keycard to get into SMFO's base. there's a spare at the security desk probably. she walks up behind a guard on patrol, takes his card, scans it while walking behind him, when the machine she uses to scan the card beeps she just...disappears, then reappears behind him to pop his security card back from where she got it

gets hit with a Decide To Kill beam. mad scientist running around on rooftops shooting people with a hypnosis laser is no basis for a system of government tells her It Only Took Her A Heartbeat to construct a hallucination that justified killing, when it took the veteran carrying grenades a whole ten minutes. given she busted out of her hallucination of the joker killing batman to punch the scientist in the face, i think she did fine.

took off the batgirl mask before getting ready to beat hallucijoker to death with her bare hands

caught a thrown grenade. hooked it into the claw of her grapple gun, shot it into the sky, and was already beating up the grenadier by the time it exploded.

Hello, there. It's been a minute, right?

Well, I can't promise I'm going to post a lot again- but for now, here is a new tarot card, a the first one from the Suit Of Pentacles! For this occasion, I'm bringing back a fandom that is already present in the cards I did- AHS, and more precisely, Hotel.

It was damn time March got his own card, and so, here he is, as the Ten of Pentacles.

(ngl i do love it a lot. I tried stuff with the light and the coloring of the two portraits behind and i think it looks neat)

Sooo, why this choice, you might ask?

Well, first, the Suit of Pentacles is all about success, money and wealth. For a character like March, who build himself on his wealth, it's seems very pertinent.

Upright, it's a card that suggest wealth (third time I said that word ; how about a fourth? wealth), the kind that bring you financial security and long-term success. Our dude built his own hotel, and is still proud of that a century after, so yeah, I guess, it works. It's also about being able to support your relative, at least with money, and well... the Countess definitely got to enjoy that. Which is why she's on the card too; so far, the card could also apply to her. And her and John are perhaps the closest thing March has from relatives, aside from the hell baby in the crib. Even if they are currently a new addition to his trophy room...

Reversed, tho, the card can design the dark side of wealth. In the sens that sometimes, wealth can be a trap, an bottomless pit of wanting for more and never being able to be fullfilled. March does throw a lot of comments about that around- saying that no fame nor fortune could satisfy, mentionning the curious appetite of the "filthy rich"... and.

Between you and me.

How much darker can it be, than with a character like James Patrick March ?

Basically, this card, while upright, acknowledges the importance of financial stability and the ability of building a long-term successful situation for ourself and our family ; reversed, it's a call for cautiousness, a reminder to avoid the excess in favour of reconnecting with one self. You do not want to finish on that wall, now, do you? :)

39. "I'll Take Manhattan / Slaves of New York"

From the little bit of poking around I've done online, it appears that Impact was made as an imprint of DC to license some Archie characters, though apparently later the imprint was dropped and the characters returned to Archie.

I don't have a ton of deep insight on this because its very much the "Extradimensional/terrestrial Ancient Being With Mind Control leads to the formation of the Super Team" just with these people. The designs with these feel like a mash of a few different aesthetic influences from like early Image but also Bronze age DC and none of them really stand out too much. I didn't dislike reading it but it feels almost more like an idea of a comic book nested in another form of media. One of the neatest things is seeing how long the conflict lasted via a jumbotron clock in the background, it made it feel like the action was happening in between the pages and panels which is really easy to forget sometimes.

I'm not sure if my criticisms on the names are any valid, if you think about it all superhero names are pretty lame so I have no reason to find the likes of "Fireball" and "Captain Commando" to be any lesser.

I've had some trouble placing the accents and personalities of these folks but I have many many more books from Impact in my latest garage sale haul

FAVORITE: This man was as fed up with the lack of transparency by the U.S. government back in 1992 as most of us are now.

LEAST FAVORITE: I'm really not sure how I feel about this bit with them hyping up how last time it required a sacrifice to beat Kalathar and then them doing a fakeout death, but it also kinda worked because they seem to not know much about each other or their powers.

I wanted the melody to go from something calm to... I wanna say terrifying? Like his life was all normal, with a happy family. It slowly falls apart, because Holden is gone. With visiting the Hotel and Jpm he drives crazy and kills all these people for him... that´s what I wanted to do with the melody :)
