Finished reading the 8th Jeeves book, “Joy in the Morning.”

Here’s a list of the things that Bertie has compared Jeeves to:

The response was not what you would call lyrical, but we Woosters can read between the lines. His eyes were rolling in their sockets, and his face had taken on the colour and expression of a devout tomato. I could see that he loved like a thousand of bricks.

magically, cheesewright is even more annoying in the book than the show. i’d only reread this for the jeeves and bertie garden conversation. the story is fun but too many characters are too annoying for me. i know it’s funny in a lot of ways but i cannot with like most of these characters

Today I had a wonderful morning.

The genesis was me Shazamming a song and then falling in love with the artists words and rhythm. I didn’t even see it coming, the rushing wind of joy, the type you get when you praise and give glory to Gods name.

Before you know it, I forgot my sorrows, I became happier, I danced freely.

My mind was focused on one thing: GOD.

I wanted to shout to the rooftops because I found a name that gave no sorrows or pains, just plain joy and happiness.

Then I realized …

I still have Joy in chaos !!!

I like how Bertie always asks Jeeves if a clever saying or literary quote is his own. Bertie’s unwavering faith in Jeeves’ wisdom and knowledge is like that of a child in their parents.
