If your character had to choose one favorite memory, what would it be? How about their worst memory? Why would they pick these two memories?

Oh hello there wonderful fairy! Thanks for the visit! :D Jules: Favourite memory would definitely have to be the first time he stepped onto a ship as not only Vasco’s husband, but also just a regular member of the ship’s crew. He felt so free and his true self for the first time and he was leaving all the bad memories behind. The sense of rightness and freedom was almost overwhelming and when Vasco moved closer and put his hand on his back, Jules felt like he was finally home. It was the single most amazing feeling, other than their hand fasting ceremony that is. :) Worst memory is definitely THAT MOMENT. To anyone reading this, if you’ve played GreedFall and you’re on my GF blog so I presume you have or at least have knowledge of this, losing Constantin and being the one to bring about that loss himself... It was earth shattering and the absolute most painful moment of his life. Having to end his cousin’s life in order to save the rest of the world basically, or at least the entire island literally destroyed him for a while. He was unable to cope for quite a while afterwards. Nothing could come close to the pain of that ever. Unless he had to do the same to his husband maybe. I’m sorry I haven’t done one for Lorin too, I’m struggling to think of the moments for him right now. But again, thank you dear Fairy for this lovely ask and for bringing me back to my beloved guy! also hi everyone, I am still alive and mostly well, just struggling a little lately. Trying to work on it though!

This actually took me soooooooo long because aside from the first song (and honestly I’m still unsure on basically all of them right now) I’ve struggled from the start to actually find songs that fit Jules to me. His relationship with Vasco? EASY! His familial relationship with Constantin? No problem! But songs that say ‘Julian?’ Not a damn clue and I don’t get why, I love him so much and I went through a million songs seeing if anything connected with him and yeah ergh nope so hard. This was fun but hard y’all! I swear I can explain all of these and the reason behind them/why they make me think of Jules everytime but uh yeah.

Sooooo who do I have to talk to about thinking about Jules having partners who are not Vasco?

In canon yes he and Vasco are each others worlds and belong together but Jules has become soooo much more to me than just a GreedFall character now.

AUs and just stuff make me happy. So um who wants to talk about our OCs being partners? Men, women, non-binary people, trans people, just people of any and all genders are welcome. Jules is pan btw.

I’d just love to do different things with him every now and again, he’s such an important character to me now.

Ok look, a random thought I’ve been having about Jules and Vasco lately right? So like this is an AU I want to commission art of and then I got this full on idea. Alright so I goes a little something like this: Jules is working at the family business, shirt and tie and things. A good boy. Except, he hates it. Enter... VASCO! and this is stupid but I keep thinking like biker club ok? (let me have this, I love bikes and bikers, best people in the world) and that’s why the facial tattoos. Jules is fascinated and maybe a little infatuated with this guy whos got piercings and facial tattoos and a really, REALLY gorgeous bike named after his boat ship in the canon and look I don’t know where else I’m going with this except that they fall in love and Jules joins up to the Nauts (yes I went there don’t @ me) and gets some ink of his own. The end!

Moments that make me wanna ship Kurt and Jules #143: That moment when after fighting the first Nadaig, Kurt rushes in questioning DS’ health and possible injuries and goes for the pat down while DS smirks at his rather obvious concern that is way more than ‘gold loyalty’. What a difference ReShade makes! Damn thank you ReShade people! I’m dying I can get rid of the yellow/orange fog and see skin tones clearer! Ahhhhh! <3 Sure the ground looks nice in the original, gorgeous colours, but everything else is just off and I like the colours of everything else more now. Tested of course, by my beloved silver fox, Jules. (I didn’t name him that, someone from the GF discord did and I’m sticking by it! lol) Such pale skin though! My boy no longer looks like he has a tan. He needs some sun with his pirate hubby!

2. If they could each describe each other in one sentence, what would it be?

Vasco: Julian is strong, confident, incredibly beautiful and when he thinks we’re alone, surprisingly sweet.

Jules: Vasco is clever, quick with both a sword and his wits, stunning and a wonderful mixture of tough and soft.

9. Have they made each other cry?

Unfortunately yes… Jules tries so hard, but sometimes he’s a little cold in nature and gets overwhelmed emotionally, he’s not great at the emotion part.

He snapped one time and yelled at Vasco, who yelled back and uh he might have suggested Vasco should fuck off and find someone else because Jules didn’t know how to be with Vasco sometimes (he meant anyone but he said Vasco for obvious reasons) and yeah, there was a LOT of fallout from that one. But they got through it.

Vasco on the other hand got frustrated one time because Jules was once again refusing to move or bathe or even eat, it was coming up to Connie’s birthday and he might have mentioned that Constantin would NOT want Jules to be acting like his world was ended and like Vasco wasn’t even here! Jules got mad and yelled, but the tears slipped out and he broke down. Vasco hated himself for that for so long, but they fixed it I swear!

17. What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?

For Jules towards Vasco: The sound of the waves against the shore, the cawing of gulls, the scent of worn leather, the feeling of time worn wood beneath his finger tips and the taste of tart raspberry’s.

For Vasco towards Jules: The feeling of a cool breeze running through his hair, the rising of the sun, the sway of the ship beneath his feet, the taste of oranges and lemons and the scent of the woods in the spring time.

21. How have they changed each other for the better/for the worse?

For the better: Jules is slightly softer now, warmer with Vasco in his life. He will occasionally, but only very occasionally offer physical comfort and not just to Vasco. He’s also more likely to think before jumping into a fight, though not much.

Vasco is more relaxed around people, he’s more cautious in fights now (Jules already jumps in head first, he’s gotta strategise since his husband for damn sure won’t) and he’s a little friendlier too.

For the worse: Jules has become a little cocky and smug. He’s married to the Captain, he’s allowed to be. He’s also a little less diplomatic now a days. (Vasco softened him in some ways but he’s also looser with his replies whoops!)

Vasco has become somewhat snarkier towards certain rude people however, and will openly glare at a few people even during important events. (Jules rubbed off on him ok? Ooops!)

24. What is something they have each had to forgive the other for?

Aside from the afore mentioned moments, hmmm I guess for Vasco it would be that he had to forgive Jules for leaving when they had a frankly very silly argument one time, and going to a party at a ‘friends’ house and getting so drunk he passed out and stayed for the entire night. Vasco had no idea where the hell he was! OR if he was safe, or who he might be with! (He’s never done that again and is careful to let Vasco know where he is going when he needs to.)

For Jules it would probably be the time a woman openly flirted with them both and put a hand waaaay too high on Vasco’s leg while suggesting the three of them find somewhere more private to finish their ‘discussion’. The fact that Vasco didn’t immediately say no, instead just looked at Jules with a curious head tilt, hurt him a little more than he’d thought possible. (They’d discussed the possibility at one point, but both had decided they didn’t want anyone else, even a woman, involved in their relationship. So the fact it came up again simply at the possibility of it being a reality made Jules both sad and mad.) Vasco promised to never do that again and that he didn’t need or want anyone other than Jules.

26. What are their favorite parts about physical affection/sex?

Jules’ favourite parts about physical affection and sex is the way Vasco melts into his touch, the way he becomes so soft and pliant when he worships every bit of him and the warmth he gains from it. The way he feels so alive when he gets to touch and hold Vasco. Also the way Vasco moans and scratches his fingernails down his back, stomach or thighs.

Vasco’s favourite parts are the way Jules smiles at him, holds him like he’s the most precious thing in the entire world. The way Jules gives in to him and only him and becomes the sweetest guy he’s ever known. The euphoria he gains from the feeling of their skin against each other and the fact that he feels so complete every time they are close like that. There’s also the way Jules groans, grasping roughly at him and demands more, he loves that part especially.

So look, they have a great life now and they do love each other very much, but it isn’t all roses and rainbows and smooth sailing.

They’ve both had their rough patches but they’ve weathered the storm and come out stronger. Things are so good now I swear!
