env♪, also known as envy, is a fictional girl group, who debuted on february 3rd in 2019 under maleficmedia's sub label noire records.

predebut.

in may 2018, noire records opened an instagram account for noi-rookies, a pre-debut team composd of eight female trainees: sokano miya, ynna, jung seona, kang noora, sara, im soeun, mako & viky. all of whom were potential members of the agency's first girl group. sadly noora, sara and soeun left the team in july 2018, september 2018 and november 2018, respectively.

on december 10th 2018, noire records confirmed plans to debut the group. on december 24th 2021, it was revealed that they would debut in february. three days later it was announced that the group would be called "envy" and include the remaining members of noi-rookies and the group's first mini album will be called "main character era" and the title track will be called "boo !"

on january 8th, and concept photos of the group and members for their debut mini album were revealed, starting with individual photos of viky and miya followed by photos of ynna, mako and seona and a group photo a few hours later.

on january 13th, a video series called "envy-me" was started on the group's official youtube channel, where each member introduced themselves and showed fans their special talents and skills, starting with miya on january 13, followed by mako on january 15, seona on january 18, viky on january 20 and ynna on january 21.

Tactics: what she lacks in brute strength, she makes up for in stamina. she’s fast, both physically and mentally. this makes her ready to take on almost any situation they throw at her. however, her biggest strength would be her tactics. scheming and tactful with a sharp tongue, it’s typically her plans to orchestrate and manipulate that lead her to success, using others as the stepping stones for the path she’s paved for herself.

Harmatia: as mentioned, she is not capable of brute strength. she is stronger than her lithe figure portrays her to be, however, missions requiring physical strength are taxing and her biggest weakness. with a history of being betrayed too many times to count, she’s incredibly wary and distrustful of those attempting to ally with her, thus genuine teamwork is out of the picture. usually, she just plans stab them in the back for her own success.

nothing has changed, she thinks to herself, letting her eyes take in her surroundings of the room. her legs are crossed over one another under the table, a cup of cheap coffee untouched beside her left hand. a man enters the room and she stares straight at the camera with bored eyes, waiting for the interview with the scout to begin.

“please state your full name, age, and hero title.”

“nam seona. i’m twenty-two years old and i am otherwise known on the show as clytemnestra.” she recites, the words rolling off her tongue with ease from the familiarity of the situation. the scout lets out a hum of acknowledgement before continuing.

“i see that you were ranked as a god last season — third place, to be exact. you’re back for your third season. why is that, ms seona?”

to prove that she isn’t just a failed actress who had been tossed out of the limelight too soon, erased and forgotten.

         ( “sorry seona, but they found another actress for the female lead.”

         she glances up from her seat, staring at her sorry excuse of a manager with narrowed eyes. “are you fucking kidding me?” she scoffs when he shrinks back. pathetic.

         “this is supposed to be my breakthrough! i already signed the contract, they can’t do that.”

         “please, seona, don’t make this into a bigger deal than it should be.” )

to prove that she is worth so much more than all the men in her life had ever amounted her to.

         ( arms drape over her shoulder and he buries his head into her neck. “i need some money, babe.” he mumbles, his front pressed against her back as she flips a pancake.

         she rolls her eyes. of course, he’s asking for money again. “you still haven’t paid me back what you owe me, matt.”

         “i’ll pay you back soon.” he starts trailing kisses up her neck and her eye twitches in annoyance. “i just need a little more time.”

         no, she will not be taking his shit any longer.

         switching off the stove, she elbows him in the stomach to get him off her and turns to face him, pointing the spatula at his face.

         “well, guess what? i’m broke so time is up, honey.” she coats the term of endearment with venom, her eyes ablaze with fury as she stares down her new ex-boyfriend.

         “pay up or pack your shit and get the fuck out of my apartment. i’m done with you.”  )

it burns.

yet her expression remains unfazed as the dark mark gets branded over the skin of her inner left arm. she feels her mother’s gaze on her from behind, a formidable woman with a valued position in the covenant.

they say that one day, she would take that position away from her mother with ease. truth be told, the mother and daughter are very similar, the only difference being that seona has the potential to be far more daunting and wicked than the older woman.

this reminder only strengthens her will to not let her expression falter and give in to the agonising pain. let them not see her ever in pain, for pain means vulnerability and she is anything but.

then, the burning stops.

glancing up, she smiles at her mother, whose expression wavers at the sight of her daughter’s sickly saccharine smile.

finally, her time has come.

standing in the back corner of the room hidden by the shadows, she listens. words of distaste and praise scattered throughout the gathered crowd upon the announcement of recent news concerning the order. seona hears it all and drinks it all in.

the advisor is nothing but a shadow, lurking around, aware of everything going on within the group. the idea of an advisor is probably foreign to some of them, after all, said advisor has never revealed their identity.

to them, she is nothing but a mere follower.

and she will continue to act as such, should it save herself the trouble of picking sides — though since she’s been appointed, she’s noticed that there’s hardly any sides to be picked within the covenant.

so, it doesn’t take long for her to conclude that they want more hostility, to assert more dominance, to weed out the members of the order and send them to dobong-gu where they belong. but everyone had one common interest that would be relayed to her superiors later on.

a couple more drinks get tossed back and soon enough, his breath reeks of alcohol. leaning towards her, a sleazy smile appears on his face as he places a heavy hand on her exposed thigh.

ah yes, tonight she is not jung seona. but kim jihye. twenty-six years old, a medical school student, and very much a muggle, without a single trace of magic in her blood.

so rather than cussing him out, she returns his smile with a sultry one of her own, crossing one leg over the other, thus trapping his hand between them. behind him, she spots a woman staring at them, then notices the mark on her inner left arm before it disappears. so it appears that she isn’t alone tonight.

soon enough, she drags him outside the club with the promise of going back to her place. the footsteps of someone following them doesn’t go unnoticed as she takes a turn into a dark alley. as the sound of the crowded streets softens, she stops and looks at the man with a pout.

“i forgot my phone. i’ll be right back, stay put alright?”

she doesn’t wait for his answer, unlatching herself from his arm to turn back around. the woman from before walks towards her and they brush arms for a brief moment.

“he’s all yours.” she whispers, continuing to head to the main street. when she hears an all too familiar spell being recited, followed by a loud thump, her crimson stained lips tug into a smirk.

JYJ's Kim Junsu and Jung Seona release the music video for "Loving You Keeps Me Alive" from their musical "Dracula."

Kim Junsu recently shared a selca to promote his musical "Dracula" and now with co-actress Jung Seona has dropped a music video for the ballad "Loving You Keeps Me Alive."

The video shows cuts of the two artists recording in a studio together with scenes of musical practices as the emotions from the dramatic storyline come out. 

Viewers can feel the power of the two's voices as well as the numerous hours of practice being put into this production. The harmonies and melody reflect the many feelings of sorrow, love, and hatred of the musical.

"Dracula" runs from July 17th to September 5th at the Seoul Arts Center.

after reviewing the mirror footage from the beauty rooms, CLIO has decided to offer contracts to various legacy talents. the beauty company was looking for individual who interacted well with their brands (positive use of product during threads/solos), had availabilities (no other contracts) and good modeling talent (minimum 50 modeling points). furthermore, to match the right people with the right brand, they also consulted directly with LEGACY ENTERTAINMENT (modeling portfolios done for those eligible at the time of the event). since clio is an international company, models have been divided in three regions: south korea, china and japan. finally, two specific type of contracts were issued: ambassador and standard model. AMBASSADORS cannot have another solo contract with a rival brand, they are the face of the brand and are expected to shoot several group and solo CFs and pictorial, as well as appear in events.
