Lair Review for JuniaEnigma

Right off the bat I just want to mention that it looks like you have put so much thought and care into designing each and every dragon in your lair. They all look so unique and personable in their own way, so it was definitely hard choosing seven. I did include a bonus dragon near the end c:

Louhetar

Louhetar immediately drew me in. the accent choice is stunning and gives great contrast to her reds and grays. I want to admire the sheer amount of spikes we get not only from her silhouette as a ridgeback, but with her bramble mantle item. It’s so hard to believe she’s only wearing 6 apparel items, because you have made the most of the space by including your accent as well. The little snippet of lore in her bio gives us just a taste of her personality-- and honestly I’m hooked.

Yule

With Yule, I want to point out how the use of white stained to make pthalo a muted wintery palette is genius. Muted is exactly the feeling we get in winter when the snow dampens sound and everything has frosted over, and Yule encapsulates that perfectly. As for his Lore I really like how you’ve intertwined it with other dragons-- Brei and a nocturne hatchling. And his job where he sells mistletoe and hot cocoa gives me a sense of just how warm and welcoming Yule is. The muted browns in his color palette really do remind me of a nice, milky cocoa.

Aker

I may have a soft spot for Wildclaws, but Aker just blows me away. The dusty moonlit accent just puts me RIGHT into a western setting with Aker. The hair and roses really remind me of Kissin’ Kate Barlow from the movie Holes-- not sure if you were going for that vibe with Aker, but that character is near and dear to my nostalgia, so Aker’s design is just as bad ass. It may be such a minor detail, but I really enjoy the blue eye and how it just contrasts nicely with this dragon. A very well done dragon indeed.

Matcha

Matcha is a busy dragon, and I mean that in the BEST way possible. It works because it’s all so cohesive. She’s so intricate that I could honestly stare at her for hours and keep finding details that I love about her. And I really like how her pistachio matches with her gladegift ambassador familiar! The two are definitely peas in a pod. And omg she’s a wlw dragon <3 Honestly your little lore/personality snippets are giving me so much life. Matcha is a true blessing.

Spicy

Oh my goodness what can I say about this lad. I’m a complete sucker for complementary colors. Spicy really brings the heat! Blue is also great for this guy because blue flames burn hotter. I’m absolutely losing my mind over everything about this dragon. I LOVE how the little lava droplets on the accent dip down into the underside of the tail. The little blue gem on the forehead and the lanterns really bring together his whole theme and I love imagining him at his little tavern with his partner playing the lute. I’m not crying I swear

Prisca

I am always blown away by users who take xyz colored dragons and turn them into something as eye-catching as Prisca. Honey, she has the RANGE. She looks like she could kill me, get away with it, and leave no trace behind except for the sweet fragrance of roses. Her design is deadly without sacrificing femininity and, excuse me while I pick my jaw off the floor, I’m 100% here for it.

Fey

Fey’s design is just so fun to look at. The Metallic/Alloy reminds me of the silky fabric that they use for halloween costumes, and of course the use of orange ghost to get those lovely purples in is *chefs kiss* icing on the halloween themed cake. I also really enjoy your use of the Riot vulture and Autumn leaves, it really just drives this whole look home. And with Fey being a Mpose Tundra, we get that mischievous side eye look that I love so much. This dragon is such a treat.

Honorable mention: Helmimarja

Glancing at the lore, Helmimarja makes an EXCELLENT looking gatekeeper. I’m in love with the laying of the halos and the skin is an absolute stunner. Great work with Helmimarja, it was so hard not to include this dragon in my above picks, so I just had to give him a shout-out. Thank you, JuniaEnigma for allowing me to dive deep into your lair to view all these stunning dragons!

Lair Review for JuniaEnigma

First impressions: I love the idea of a Plague clan serving as a pit stop for travelers of the Scarred Wasteland. It’s nice to know that even in a placed called a Wasteland, there’s still friendly faces!

1.

I decided to check out your hibernal den first, since I know it’s easy to miss some really wonderful dragons when they’re tucked away in there.

All permababies have a special place in my heart and I especially love nocturne babies. I think they’re some of he cutest in the game. I like how Penumbra showcases their goat eyes. I love the goat eyes, but it is sad that it’s so hard to see them on many of the adult dragons. 

I won’t lie, Penumbra looks a little spooky with their Plague goat eyes and dark coloration. The savannah and safari genes really help up the spook factor too. But that’s exactly why they caught my eye!

10/10 a good little spooky dragon

2. 

Sugarplum looks very sweet! I can see how they got their name! Pinstripe, bee, and glimmer bubblegum all go very nicely together for a candy theme! You also dressed them up very nicely. All of the different purples mesh really well on this dragon. i like the usage of different apparel sets too. It’s a very unique, yet cohesive outfit!

3. 

Remember what I said about permababies? Yeah that’s why this little guy got my attention. With their blue and white coloration and pink blossoms, they make me think of a nice spring day. They really are deserving of their name, Hope, because looking at them makes me feel peaceful and happy.

The faceted eyes are a bit spooky though, but I like that. It makes me feel like there’s a lot more to Hope than there is at first glance.

4. 

Nox? I love Nox. Absolute perfection. Everything I want in a drgon. Mirror? check. Permababy? Check. shadow primal? Check. Purble? Check. Effervescent.

Oh and that lore? Very cute and sweet. Good stuff. I wish only the best for Nox.

5. 

I decided to review Oskar next since he was in Nox’s bio. I want to poke his little tummy. Coatl hatchling art is just too cute, and the glimmer on Oskar’s tum just makes him even cuter. His rare eyes are really pretty. I think Plague has the best rare eyetype. I also love that he’s a bookworm and is best friends with Nox!

6. 

Casiope radiates power. She looks like someone that I wouldn’t want to see the bad side of. And reading her lore, it appears I got the right impression of her! Still it’s sad that she was an outcast for a little while. Poor Casiope :(

Vaako better not hurt her any more than he already has.

7. 

*eyes emoji* Iku? Fantastic and wonderful! Extremely pretty. How do I begin breaking down what I love about Iku so much?

I guess I could start with the accent. It is beautiful and i want it. I think bones and feathers look really cool so.. yeah. Beautiful accent for a beautiful boy. I love that he collects bones too. 

And then how that accent is layered over genes like bee and capsule makes it look like... ethereal I guess is the word i’m looking for? Idk how to describe it, but it’s a really cool effect.

8. 

I know, I know I’ve picked a lot of your permababies but you just have so many good ones. Stitched, patchwork, and ghost are some of my favorite genes and when they’re all together  they create the right amount of spooky. Ramie is the perfect amount of cute and creepy and I love them for that. What a doll.

9. 

I took one look at Fey and went “Wow! Halloween vibes!” and then I looked at their hatch date and yeah. Yeah that’s perfect. I love this Halloweeny Halloween tun. What a wonderful rep for my favorite holiday. 

10. 

And I’ll end my review with this guy. Brynden looks very intimidating! They’re not someone I would want to see while alone and in the dark. Everything from the goat eyes to the ram horns to being a blood xxy to the rusty cleaver just screams “Do not mess with me”. I love this dude and the danger vibes they give off.

Kharon! instantly that vivid red hooked me! i live for the vulture-culture look he has going on and i have a soft spot for ridgies! a very aesthetically pleasing man, handsome!

GODEATER?????? YEAH a gorgeous combination of blues and the star spangled silk and his cobwebs??? the runes look extra lovely with the two tone color. a handsome and intimidating dragon!

another Aurel! i have an Aurel! of course i had to add this gilded man into the mix! i love the golden apparel and coloration, plus that sword! he must take his job seriously if he needs to brandish it! lovely long talons!

BUG! gorgeous colors, gorgeous silks, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! they just radiate beauty and i didnt notice the multigaze at first! i thought it was part of the accent they have on! 10/10 for the illusion 

the new nameless baby of course! the colors, the eyes, the BABY. i would die for him. a perfect beastie!

Lair Review for JuniaEnigma

I adore purples and eye accents, and Khonsu has both of those traits!! The night sky silks work well with the magic cards (which I might add is one of my favorite apparel pieces), and the resulting placement of the items leaves the wing designs free for the viewer’s pleasure.

I adore a nice light/gold aesthetic, and Paladin’s even my favorite breed! Something about the female skydancer pose has always seemed to me like it shows off apparel the best, and this is no exception! I love mercenary-concept dragons, and she’s just dressed up so nicely! I’d trust her with my life.

Oh? my GOd?? Have you ever seen a woman so beautiful you started crying? Because I have now. Her colors? Gorgeous. Raluca already has me charmed. I’d let her curse me any day. Wow. In all seriousness, I absolutely adore her colors and I need a dragon like this for myself. The dark reds and the toned-down blues are very appealing to the eyes, and her accent definitely gives off witchy vibes.

What a lovely plague girl! Drakaina’s colors and genes are a nice use of coral, and her apparel comes together to make that plague aesthetic everyone strives for imo. I love cobweb apparel, so that was very nice to see, and her accent gives off the effect of holes in the wings, which is another nice plaguey touch!
