Something funny about Tristans Line for Percival

Back then the Fan-Translation showed us already that Tristan and Percival have a rather fun interaction. Percival calls out Tristan for being unfaithful, Tristan responses to that, in the Fan-Translation, with this:

But there were also other variants of the Line that added the term „Bastard“ at the end of it, which made this interaction very funny since it came rather unexpected from Tristan to snap back like this (I love it, haha)

Now we have the official Line. The best Part here is that while it’s like in the Fan-Translation that they both talk about each other in the official Translation it feels like they talk to each other instead but above Masters Head wwww

So the funny thing here is that it seems like Tristan takes Percivals Line as open attack and instead of just making the Statement that he will and can start a fight with whoever he wants, he says here clearly „He is picking a fight with me, so I'll ride the challenge. The Bastard.“

Tristan not only took this personally as soon as Percival drops his Line and declares that he started the fight, they also still put the Bastard at the end which made it so much funnier I love it, haha

It’s the specific change from „for those I love“ to „for the one I love“ that gets me it sounds very specific. I am a Tristan Yumejoshi so of course this is just free food for me but like this is really a direct hit into my heart and I will never recover from it.

Reading this Line the first time made me scream and feel like

Truly thanks FGO for the Food I am on my knees. This goes even better hand in hand considering I once made these posts before the official NA release of Lostbelt 6 where I only had the Fan-Translation but with this it works even better oh my god

Visual Difference between Inverted/Reversed/Singularity 6 Tristan & Regular Tristan

Inverted Tristan is, in simple terms, an evil side of Tristan. An ugly side of him, he himself doesn’t like. A side he got „thanks“ to the Lion King's Gift as we learned in Camelot/Zero that Tristan couldn’t bear all the killing and needed it to require the mission. Tristan had his reasons to follow the Lion King, be it the guilt he still had for leaving his former king in such a manner or the simple fact that he thought this was the less painful solution for humanity. However it’s not something Tristan usually is as you even can see his struggle with all this when facing Bedivere and the others.

The core is the same. Tristan, the child of sadness. But the essence is different. One aspect would be the sound of his harp. While we could say that the Game only uses a default harp sounds it felt intentional that they used an metallic and „ugly“ sound in the Movie for him (note that in the Stage Play they - if I remember correctly - used the default game sound)

But one visual difference that is very noticeable is the single strand of hair in his face. So the thing here is, normal Tristan sometimes also has the single hair strand in his face but it’s not as aggressive as the one of inverted Tristan. So I guess this shows that inverted Tristan also has messier hair - he calls himself a ugly monster/a beast - so this could also point out that his appearance doesn’t have to look knighty anymore and that he does not care about his reputation in that matter anymore as well.

Even his Merch has the Hair Strand. This is a collage I made 3 years ago, so it’s not the best Quality, I apologise for that. But it showcases very well what I mean.

Additional; there are also differences in his Design, but I do believe this could have been for the sake of an easier animation - The Design changes often depending on the occasion. It doesn’t have to display the changes but the chances are there that it’s also intentional! I once made an extra Post about it, if you are interested just look under the tag „Juquia spots the difference“ (since my Tumblr won’t let me insert Links currently ahhhh)

This is just my little thought to it, I wrote this down so serious but I thought it’s a very nice little detail and in terms of the Merch it’s cute and funny to look at!

Tristans Cape Design was changed „again“, similar like in the Camelot Movie this was probably for animation reasons. But there is something interesting! It’s the Camelot Movie Design! We actually have Stage Play, Camelot Movie and Official Design. This one is Movie!

The Stage Play Cape is, from the photocards, seems to be blank. There was no „belt“ or pattern, I think this was to perform easier on stage, as these costumes can get hot anyways. I was wondering first if it was for Animation reasons in the Movie or if the altered Design has the Meaning of Inverted Tristan. So I was surprised to see it here as well. Again, I think it was for animation reasons or they used the Camelot Sheets as reference. But to look at it in a Lore related way this is kind of interesting!

The second Painting of the TrisQuia Flower Series by @shokansen - A May Commission for the May Fest.

The May Festival is in Gottfried von Straßburg a Fest held in Cornwall by King Marke which is during the whole May. This is also the Month Riwalin and Blanschefur met the first time and fell in love with each other. So Tristan and Juquias Wedding Month being May is fateful to me.

In some Countries on the first Day of May you would give a person you cherish a lot, usually female, a bouquet of Lilies of The Valley. It’s a sign of affection. In Germany they are called „Maiglöckchen“ translated it means „Little May Bells.“ Lilies of The Valley have biblical importance and also hold the meaning of chivalric virtues. But it also stands for an innocent and pure Love, like one of a young maidens heart. I felt Tristans and Juquias Fates, Feelings and Souls become one and intertwining with each other.

The carnation flowers, especially soft pink ones, stand not only for Love but also Gratitude and the Promise to never forget each other. Tristan and Juquia are separated by time, what holds them together is the Love and Knowledge about each other. They both are pure romantics. They feel so strongly - It’s an unspoken promise, engraved into each others Souls. No need to mention it. It’s as clear as the blue sky - They won’t forget each other. They physically can’t. It’s a promise not only made by their hearts but also made by their souls.

Wildflowers stand for Unity. Tristan and Juquia are, when you look first at them, so different from each other. And yet, so many things connect them. Be it the childhood/past, the character, the worries, the things they love and appreciate… They are a heart and a soul. Tristan is a royal prince, skilled in everything, beloved and known by many. Juquia is the exact opposite. And yet they still end up at the same spot and being the only ones who would understand the other. Them laying in a field of wildflowers represents „Soulmates“ in pure form.

The whole commission symbolises how they are Soulmates, beyond time and space who love in their purest and natural form. They don’t need to speak. The flowers will do it for them. Nature will keep their Love and Memories safe. Love as old as the World itself found anew.

Something interesting about Tristans used Designs for the 6th Singularity! (Game, Movie, Stage Play)

I think it’s mostly to simplify things for better animation for example. In the Stage Play they probably tried to make it as real as possible and more like an actual costume and less like just a Cosplay.

I also noticed that his armour is also different at that red thing that holds the cape. Again this is probably just to simplify things. Because in the movie (on the left) it’s just some golden stripes and on the actual ascension it’s more a pattern. It’s super interesting seeing so many changes. A lot of my Merch and Wallscrolls/Posters having a different design for Tristan!
