Tommy wasn’t great at most things. Sure, he could play piano, he could act. But in terms of popularity, grades, and everything else; Tommy was just decent. There was nothing wrong with it——he could be better, though. Despite that, Tommy himself thought he was great.

He could’ve been more careful, too. Something that would’ve been better than this. Even with prayers and offerings, fate still kept its plan for him. Since dying in an alley way definitely wasn’t on his to-do list.

A weeklong human trafficking sting by the FBI has led to the arrest of 28 men at a south Reno home.

According to the FBI's Northern Nevada Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, all 28 suspects arrived at a home in south Reno to "knowingly engage in, and pay for, sex acts with a minor as identified through the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit."

The FBI funded operation identified seven men on its first night, Monday, Oct. 5. Eight men were arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Five were arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Eight men were arrested on Thursday, Oct. 8.

All suspects were arrested on felony counts of soliciting a child for prostitution, and attempted child abuse. Some of the suspects are facing additional charges.

12 suspects have already posted bail.

Omg don’t be sorry! This took a little longer to write because I had so many ideas, but I think I like how this last draft turned out! (Plus I was super busy with Halloween sooo here’s a little treat for today)

Duncan hated everyone, it was just a fact. He didn’t have many friends, and he liked it that way. On occasion he’d heard his name in other’s conversations, they called him a lone wolf and he agreed. It was easier for him to do whatever he wanted when there was no attachment. That all changed when he laid eyes on her.

Courtney Rosales was the pure definition of perfection. Her brown hair that fell straight to her shoulders, the dark color of her eyes that made him feel hypnotized, the curve of her hips, everything. Duncan remembered the first time he saw her, she walked past his locker toward her wuss of a boyfriend, Justin. Of course they’d be together, the school's most popular boy and girl? Go figure. It had only lasted a few weeks though.

The first time they interacted with each other was a different story. It was during the schools spirit week, Courtney had set up a stand to promote for Student Council President. Boy was she persistent with this endeavor. Duncan took it upon himself to rile her up a bit. There was no doubt she was going to win, as she was the only one running, but it still didn’t stop him.

“What would happen if someone decided to run against you?” He asked her as he leaned against her stand.

“Absolutely nothing. I’ve made a habit of winning.” She stated proudly before trying to nudge him off the stand. This, of course, only made him lean further. Now the two were at eye to eye level, Duncan with his signature smirk, and Courtney with her cutting glare.

“I’m thinking of running, you know.” It was a lie. He’d never be caught dead doing something like this, but her reaction was well worth it. Courtney had laughed so hard she almost fell off her chair. Duncan thought it was adorable, but kept his cool. If there was one thing he knew was that he’d lose the upper hand if he showed any type of weakness around her. Courtney was not a force to be reckoned with. She was determined, cutthroat, and Duncan loved it.

“Please leave.” She said once she calmed herself down. Courtney had to give it to him, he could make quite a joke. As if anyone would be dumb enough to go against her, she was President of almost every club, on her way to be valedictorian when the time came, and she was well liked. Duncan wouldn’t have a chance, unless he threatened everyone for their vote, which he’d never do since he simply didn’t care enough.

“Cute, but I think I’ll stay.” Duncan said as he toyed with some of the self made buttons on the stand. He picked one up and studied it. There was a picture of Courtney in the middle with the words “Vote for Courtney” in nice cursive writing. She snatched it from him, “These are for voters, not you.”

“Who said I wasn’t voting for you?” He asked as he snatched it back and stuffed it in his pocket. Courtney rolled her eyes, of course Duncan had forgotten his last question. Was this all to get a rise out of her? To make her look bad in front of the school? It made sense, but she would never stoop to that level, not in public at least. She pulled him by his shirt so he was somewhat hovering above her, “Go the fuck away, Duncan.” She said through clenched teeth.

Duncan didn’t move once she released her grip from his shirt. There were so many thoughts going on in his mind; the way her strawberry lipstick smelled, the freckles that popped out above her nose, the way her grip held him in place. The list could go on, and she’d be proud of that if he ever decided to tell her.

His eyes darted to her lips. Fuck, he messed up. Courtney’s cheeks redend once she realized what had happened. Before either could make a comment the bell rang. Courtney pushed herself up, forcing Duncan to stand straight up again.

From that point on Duncan had made it his mission to get to know her more, even if it was just to push her buttons. No, he didn’t go the normal route with just asking her out, he needed to play it smart.

Now, the light banter turned into something more meaningful. It was like the two found each other on a daily basis, never missing the opportunity to tease the other. Duncan was shocked when Courtney was able to come up with witty remarks, but it ultimately made him so much more interested in her.

What shocked him the most was how Courtney, little miss perfect, did not let the status quo become an obstacle. She made sure people knew who he was, how couldn’t she? Although Duncan hated the attention, he liked that he was on Courtney’s mind. Everyone had their fair share of comments when the two interacted with each other, and it was only a matter of time before one of them made a move.

So this is a pretty loosey goosey ad and has a lot of wiggle room. Abel is 13y older than Dani and he left home when she was only 5, so after he left what he did and who he was is largely up to you. Their mother was a flighty woman, a woman who rarely if ever settled down for long, so their childhood was spent moving around a lot. Dani didn't have any sort of formal education until she was 12, I wouldn't be surprised if Abel was voided that opportunity as well. When Dani was younger they were both homeschooled while they fluttered around France, they were largely left to be raised by the streets and they did whatever they wanted.

When Dani was 12, a man came into their mother's life who actually stuck around for a few years, Bastian Vega. It was Bastian that Dani chose to stay with and whom she now calls her father, their own father long since having jumped ship. Abel is technically older than Bastian, which made their relationship weird, and where Abel could and maybe should have rightfully hated the man, he was everything Dani needed, the stability and the structure to guide her down a better path than Abel was ever given. Their relationship is strained, though there's no real bad blood there, Abel still isn't all that keen on a man younger than him, playing father to his sister; doubly so as Bastian is chief of police.

Abel was a lot more like their mother than Dani is, and he gets on with her very well and is very close to her where Dani isn't. Dani doesn't hate her by any stretch, she just doesn't agree with the way their mother lives her life and how she left them largely on their own. Abel is also flighty and not the steadiest of people, ruled by his emotions and whims he tends to be brasher and more impulsive than Dani, the aggression and anger he has now was built up when this way of being was thrown headlong into a cage.

Along the way Abel got himself mixed up in slinging drugs (mainly coke, but you can go wild lol), who he was dealing for is up to you, but regardless he was pretty low down on the totem pole when he got picked up by police (again, up to you how this happened) and was charged with possession and intent to distribute. They'd find out while he was sat in jail waiting sentencing that he was embedded into something much larger than himself, and as fae do, he spun a good tale that he thought would get him out of things; spouting off about connections and tossing about street names to intimidate. It didn't work. Instead of getting out of, they tossed him into the prison system without a second thought, mostly this was done to use his self inflated status to get closer to the bigger fish.

After all, if they locked up a friend of said big fish, that fish would surely bail him out, right?

Turns out Abel wasn't as big as he said he was, and now the various secondary charges they've pinned to him, to sink him into the system and make it look like he squealed on the cartel he was working for, have fully dragged him under. He's become just another number in a system that's failing its people. Because of this, he's grown angry and aggressive behind bars. The only thing keeping him grounded in reality is his sister, Dani.

She moved across the country to help support him and has, since his detention, funneled everything she doesn't need to live, into lawyer fees and commissary funds. She's doing everything she can to see him free, while also trying to keep her grasp on the world around her and not lose what she's built for herself. Every other weekend she takes the train north to Fresno, Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP), to visit him. While there she always stays with her terrible boyfriend in Fresno, to save money that Abel needs.

Dani's sunny disposition however, has never once faltered and she's far to stubborn to give up on Abel.

Hard to play a man in prison, no?

So here's the deal with Abel in the present: Dani is currently working as a runner for the Cortez cartel, making a trip down to Mexico every few weeks to a month, as she's the most unassuming face they could find... And she asked for their help in protecting Abel on the inside. She was/is the babysitter to Diego & Lenny's daughter, Dia, which mixed her up into things initially. Diego has since sent his brother, Toni, to ensure that Abel's protected inside, and they would have known each other from prison anyway, as Toni was in, and has since gotten out, when Abel went in.

Dani's work within the Cortez cartel is minimal, but it's enough that she's since ensured Abel's release (to happen whenever he's taken). What Abel does within the cartel once he's out is up to you, but he'll basically be conscripted into the cartel, as he's indebted to them. He's very likely to hate that Dani's mixed herself up in all of this, and I'd love it if he did his best to shield her from it going forward... Which will become more difficult as times goes on as she and Toni are all wound up and around one another (and shipped), so it's a losing battle - but I'd love for there to be some tension between them to work through.

I'd also love it if Dani helped him get his GED while he was behind bars, could be part of the time they spent together during visitation; her tutoring him or bringing him fox marbles to help him learn, etc. They are very close and he's pretty different around her than he is anyone else; she's tiny and energetic and full of smiles, it's difficult not to soften around her. She does own a small little townhouse and she's converted the top floor specifically for Abel, when he gets out, though whether she stays there or not is up to you! She's also got a pseudo "brother" he'll have around, Cameron, who was taken in by Bastian as another wayward angry boy. How he feels about this is up to you, but there's another connection for him~

A weeklong human trafficking sting by the FBI has led to the arrest of 28 men at a south Reno home.

According to the FBI's Northern Nevada Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, all 28 suspects arrived at a home in south Reno to "knowingly engage in, and pay for, sex acts with a minor as identified through the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit."

The FBI funded operation identified seven men on its first night, Monday, Oct. 5. Eight men were arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Five were arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Eight men were arrested on Thursday, Oct. 8.

All suspects were arrested on felony counts of soliciting a child for prostitution, and attempted child abuse. Some of the suspects are facing additional charges.

12 suspects have already posted bail.

The United States is looking to Canada to help cope with the growing number of migrants at the United States’ border with Mexico, a State Department spokeswoman said on Tuesday. A possible trilateral agreement with Canada, the United States and Mexico was on the table as the three countries met in Mexico for the North American Leaders’ Summit, spokewsoman Kristina Rosales told Reuters. The agreement would help thousands immigrate through legal channels, without having to put their lives at risk at the hands of human traffickers, Rosales said. “Canada has its own specific programs for refuge and migration,” Rosales said, telling Reuters ahead of the trilateral talks that the countries would discuss Canada’s involvement. No such agreement was made public immediately after the talks between U.S. President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador ended on Tuesday. U.S. authorities detained 2.2 million migrants at the border with Mexico in fiscal year 2022, a record not seen since World War II. Rosales also said the United States is considering including more nationalities to enter the country by air while expelling those crossing over land under an order known as Title 42. The order, launched in October for Venezuelans, was expanded to Cuban, Nicaraguan and Haitian migrants last week. Encounters of Venezuelans at the border dropped about 90% in December, and similar drops are expected for other migrants in the program. “If we see that we have to increase the number of those eligible for humanitarian parole per month and include other nationalities, we will consider it,” Rosales added. Mexico’s Lopez Obrador said Tuesday the nation “celebrated” the U.S. decision to award humanitarian parole and that he believed “that this plan will be extended to benefit other countries.” The United States has in recent months seen a significant increase in migrants reaching the country by sea from Caribbean countries such as Cuba and Haiti. Rosales said those who arrived in the United States by sea “unfortunately will not be able to qualify” for humanitarian parole. Rosales added that the U.S. government is seeking to broaden legal methods of immigrating and sway potential migrants from paying human traffickers. “We want to broaden the legal channels so that people can apply directly from their cell phones,” Rosales said.

The young man (student) in the story demonstrates that after reading the story, you can imagine yourself in the world of the sacred revolution. At the time of the revolution, people thought that fighting was the key to being saved. The Revolution According to Raymundo Mata offers an intoxicating blend of fact and fiction, uncovering the lost histories while building dazzling, anarchic modes of narrative.

For me, the revolution is like a place without silence. You can imagine that there is no hope because of the revolution. Other people think that the answer to everything is chaos, which is to save them, according to the novel. They think they can learn a lot when they have the book in their hand.

The novel said the bolt is a kind of fire that if it hits, it will be the end of the world. The young man thought it was the end of his life, but it changed his life. The young man locked himself away, full of fear. He thought it was only a novel, but he imagined what the young man's life would be like. The young man boiled some Barako. Later on, it was a popular coffee shop in Bazaars of Binondo. People never hide their fearful and violent eyes or their innocent faces. They placed themselves in a sacred debate. It was so intense during the revolution that the young man could never understand.

Tracey smirks, walking straight to the elevator, the guards watching her confused. One starts to walk towards her, only to meet a dagger in his chest, flung from somewhere in the shadows. Another notices and rushes quickly towards Tracey, his feet get swept from underneath him, his last sight being a bat coming towards his face. The third draws his gun, pointing it at her, “stop right th-” Pinstripe’s blade slices through his neck, his head falling to the ground. The fourth guard swings at Pinstripe. He ducks and grabs the guards hand, pulling him forward then quickly snapping the guard's arm. “Night night” Pinstripe’s voice seemed to ooze out of the mask before a blade protrudes from his sleeve, and directly between the he Guard’s eyes. Golgotha quickly snaps the neck of the last guard, dropping his body to the floor. “Pinstripe really? A dramatic line?” “Yes of course, if not then what’s the point?” Pinstripe and Golgotha return to Tracey a she waits for the elevator. “How about the money, and saving my kids? That a good enough reason?” Tracey asks, elbowing them both in the ribs. “Focus” Pinstripe scoffs and Golgotha rolls his eyes. DING The elevator doors open, inside is ten large, electric gauntlet armed guards. Golgotha smiles happily, Pinstripe cracks his knuckles, and Tracey steps back. … Tracey clears her throat as the elevator descended, the walls covered in blood, the head and left arm of a guard on the floor. Pinstripe whistled happily, Golgotha lightly kicked the head around bored. “Well guys, to be honest I should have expected that kind of bloodshed when I hired you...but holy crap.” Tracey laughed, “this...is mentally scarring honestly” Golgotha chuckled “really? Lady I’ve seen the things you can do, me and PInstripe may be killers, but you are the scary one.” Tracey raises an eyebrow “well good then, don’t forget it” DING The elevator doors open to a hallway full of armed guards, brandished with bats, knives, guns, and electric gauntlets. “Ok guys, do what you do best” Tracey steps back. Parsure holds his arm out, blocking her, “not this time miss. Show us what you got” Tracey sighs, the guards with guns gathered in front of the elevator doors. She spreads her arms wide, the shadows of the room growing darker. Then the elevator door closes. “Sorry sorry, hold on” Golgotha presses the door open button. A guard coughs. Tracey sighs, “screw it” With a flick of her wrist, the shadows of the room solidify and pierce the skulls of every last guard in the room. “Unfortunately I don’t know how to make them go back into being just shadows, they stay solid like that” Tracey checks to make sure her hair still covered her left eye. “So let's try and get through. Golgotha nods “nice” “Thanks” Tracey starts walking through the bloody maze of dead guard and shadow spears. Pinstripe and Golgotha follow behind. At the end of the hall, were two large red wooden doors. Tracey grinned. “They are behind this door.” “How can you tell?” Pinstripe asks. “Call it mother's intuition.” She smiles “I know my boys are in here” She opens the doors wide and walks into the room. Inside, Issabel sat at her desk, Justin and Stephan standing at her sides. “Hello bitch” Tracey grinned as she walked up to the desk. “And who might you be?” Issabel asked with feigned curiosity. “Oh you know exactly who I am.” Tracey replied through gritted teeth. Issabel scoffs, “kill them boys” Justin and Stephan lunge for the killers. Tracey side steps Stephan’s swing, “guys, you can’t hurt them, so just go crazy” Pinstripe laughs, grabbing Justin’s armored arm and flinging him into a wall. Pinstripe’s laugh sent a shiver down Issabel’s spine. “So,” Tracey stood opposite of Issabel, “I’m here for my sons.” Issabel rolls her eyes “you will get out” she looks into Tracey’s eyes. Tracey smiled, her dark eyes getting darker. “Oh I’ll leave, after I’m done.” Issabel frowned in confusion as Tracey slowly began to laugh. Issabel tilted her head before realizing she couldn’t move. She looked down to see her body covered in shadows, the darkness slowly creeping up her body. “You belong to the darkness now~” Tracey whispered in her ear as the shadows seep into Issabel’s mouth. She screamed in terror in pain as Tracey laughed and stepped away from the desk. Pinstripe and Golgotha carried the knocked out boys, slung across their backs. Tracey smiled “thank you gentlemen. Now if you don’t mind, help me take them home” “Sure ma’am” Golgotha replied. She smiled, kissing Justin and Stephan’s cheeks. “Sleep easy boys, momma’s got you” -------------------------------------------------------------------And this is the end to the "Long Journey Home" Story arc
