so we are trying to figure out all this spus tongue business and what kalina was trying to tell people by saying RAGH BARKROCK and "it's the only name I can say" and as far as we can tell, the bad kids think that connection is Lydia and Bakur

me however 🤡 in my clown shoes

it's not an obvious connection so I think it makes sense for the outer circle of spy's tongue.

so this starts with fig and porter and Zara telling her Cassandra can't be who she's pledged to, that they don't fit her, and it made me think, well what other gods do either of them have a connection to besides their own patrons? zaras is a celestial and porter is an oath of the ancestors paladin...

and then I remembered how Kalina was spotted talking to Porter and Jace at the end of Freshman Year.

AND THEN EVERYTHING JUST SEEMED TO FALL INTO PLACE

A TIMELINE

FRESHMAN YEAR

• Ragh sees Kalina talking to Porter and Jace

SOPHOMORE YEAR

• Kalina learns Ragh saw her talking to Porter and Jace

• Kalina attacks Lydia Barkrock and kills her (clone) destroying their house in the process

JUNIOR YEAR

• Kalina says Ragh's name

• "It's the only name I can say."

• Spys Tongue Curse

• Connected just outside the circle

• Rage shards at destroyed Barkrock Residence

• Lydia having Bakur, a servent of Ankarna, this rage god, in her gem, someone Kalina is connected to and theoretically made this curse to prevent from speaking about

• Ragh saw Kalina talking to JACE and PORTER

so obviously I'm thinking either Porter or Jace is involved (probably both) with Kalina/Ankarna and so here's more reasoning

PORTER

- heavy emphasis that rage is the only way to be a barbarian

- oath of ancestors paladin "a commitment to those who came before you to carry on their ideals and wishes into the future"

- trying to keep gorgug from artificing

- telling fig she can't be Cassandra's paladin but doesn't give anyone else as a suggestion (and as many people have said, Ankarna is such fig bait)

- more interested in Fig this year because of Ankarna's curse on the armor of pride???

and then

JACE

- sorcery teacher, lots of free time

- makes maizie principal because he is less capable than a literal teenager?

- gives Riz a stipend for "keeping auegfort running"?

- didn't really do a whole lot when Grix was netting the whole student population?

- generally sus ?

ANYWAYS I think Porter and/or Jace are very involved in all of this and Fig's theory that Porter is bad is gonna be proven right, now that's she started to like him, for maximum painful impact. thanks for coming to my riz talk like and subscr-
