grrm: i’m impartial about the blackwood-bracken feud and don’t see one house as better than the other, both houses have done bad things

also grrm, aegon v and cregan stark, both characters positioned as protectors of the less privileged and generally on the side of right, marry blackwood women; barba bracken is the mother of bittersteel whereas melissa blackwood is the mother of bloodraven and had two daughters (so literally 50% of the great bastards) and was the most beloved of aegon iv’s mistresses; bethany bracken was groomed by her family to displace melissa blackwood and then was caught in a forbidden relationship with a kingsguard and was executed alongside her father for betraying aegon iv; lyle bracken was killed by maegor; olyver bracken was an oathbreaker who led a rebellion of former members of the faith militant at the wall and was beheaded by walton stark; house bracken supported the greens while house blackwood supported the blacks; otho bracken slew quentyn blackwood at a tourney, reigniting the feud: i don’t care for the brackens
