Do you think the tide will turn against the Sussex’s with their Hollywood crowd? So far it seems like they’re keeping afloat in that crowd but do think it will fade soon?

What Hollywood crowd?

The only Hollywood people the Sussexes associate with are Oprah, Tyler Perry, and Abigail Spencer, on occasion. They *claim* to hang out with David Foster and Katherine McPhee, but there haven't been any photographs other than that one dinner.

Every other Hollywood person they've been photographed with has been a one-and-done PR appearance: Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Kimberly Paisley-Williams, Kevin Costner, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Carson Daly, Kerry Kennedy, etc. They've never been photographed with Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston despite PR claiming they're friends. The Clooneys, Gloria Steinem, John Travolta, and Ellen lost their phone number. Serena Williams pops up only when WME pays her.

They're not hanging out with Marvel people. They're not hanging out with Netflix people. They're never invited to the Hollywood awards ceremony, much less asked to present. The only movie premiere they've been invited to was in Jamaica, as in outside the country. The only magazine covers they get are the ones they pay for. They weren't at the Eras Tour - not in the tents with all the other Hollywood celebs that Taylor invited or in the stands with everyone else. They're not going to Weekends with Adele in Vegas. They're not hanging out at Chateau Marmont or whatever the today's Viper Room equivalent is or the Mondrian. Dancing with the Stars isn't even trying to recruit them.

There are two indicators of the A-List Hollywood crowd: the "regulars" at awards ceremonies (both attendees and presenters) and the Tom Cruise Cake List. The Sussexes are neither.

(I feel like William and Kate are on the Cake List, only because of how often Tom's shown up around the royal family these days. I have no idea if it's true or not, I just like to think it is. Let me have this fantasy.)

The Sussexes only pretend to have a Hollywood crowd. It's all PR. Look at how no one came to their defense after The Hollywood Reporter's expose.

You may be kinda used to spiralling down but you're going to spiral up soon. It's gonna differ for y'all, but things, or at least one thing, will change in the near future (could be even by the end of this year).

I feel you may receive a news about something new, or about something you have just started. It couls also be a positive feedback or an encouraging post you didn't expect to receive/see, and it'll help you change your perspective on many different thoughts and situations.

Some of you may have been trying to manifest this change for a while. It can be related to love life for many (probably a soulmate either romantic or platonic), but also school/career. Seeing no results may have made you doubt about yourself and everything around this matter, but let go of all this self doubting and stress. You're gonna start seeing things from a better point of view, and feel relieved soon. Love yourself and others around, be compassionate even with your thoughts. Your wishes are going to be granted. Be determined and keep going through your healing path. A cycle is ending, and for as much some things (triggers) may reappear in your life, you'll be ready to stand up and engage with them from a new and stronger point of view.

I can't see anything in particular, but I'm really excited for you, there's a lot of hype in this energy, like it's constantly moving around in anticipation. Be faithful. Whatever you're trying to bring into your life, especially if that comes from a place of self love and compassion, is gonna reach for you. Things are changing, you are changing. And it's for good. Allow this to happen, let your Guides help you out.

The positive change is reallythat you're gonna feel more positive about yourself and your life. You may have been working on your throat chakra for a while (or will soon): being more open about your wishes and goals is going to help you visualize them and get to them with less effort. Also, if you feel an imbalance between what you think and what you feel, you are gonna change that soon. Be more aligned, and connected with your core self. You're gonna love yourself for real, for who you really are and be open about it. It feels so free, and so good. i'm so happy for you!

You are finally going to feel in control of your life and your decisions, and really enjoy what you have and be open to what the Universe is going to bring you. I see someone smiling under the light of the sun, feeling its warm rays inside of themselves, healing them. That's probably something you're called to do as well.

Just take the lead of your life, that's what you're here for. You're gonna be very abundant and happy. Transformations require time, so as manifestations, but you have plenty. Let Universe do its magic, let it flow inside of you. Be one with them.

You're gonna be more mindful about the people you'll let in in your life, this too will help you gain more abundance and respect by others. You gave a lot, now it's time for you to receive and allow yourself to receive (cause you deserve).

For whatever may come your way, remember you have a choice: you can dwell in self doubt and pain (and even people pleasing to the point of losing yourself) or you can stay strong and trust yourself and that you can afford it. Whatever it is that you've been through, I think you're gonna choose the second option soon.

I think you're gonna be more gentle with yourself. You'll take more care of you by eating and doing more exercises (maybe pick up running or start weekly routines of body care). Feels pretty good here. It's all so warm and tender. You literally deserve this care from yourself. "My body my temple" mood.

You may have tried to avoid changing, fearing it was going to be negative. Maybe past experiences haven't been so good and left a trace on your unconscious self and ego. But in fact, these only made you stronger and helped you be more compassionate with yourself too. You recognize your battles, all the difficult choices you had to make (and that you will still have to make in the future -one may come pretty soon, but nothing to worry about tbh), and now you're rewarding yourself with the attentions and the love you may have been missing or forgetting to give yourself before. You're gonna be more confident about your worth and abilities, and won't worry about what is coming cause you know you can afford anything. You've literally been through a lot, nothing can really scare you now. And you're going to welcome change now with a more open heart, looking at it as a chance to grow and make things better. You're looking at things in a brighter way, enjoying them more. And this will probably help you reach (and be reached by) more people too. For someone, also romantic love (and for some, could be an ex -or something like that, or a news related to your past/a trigger- trying to come back in your life too. I cannot give you an answer that can fit everyone's situation but remember your worth when dealing with them, and don't let them manipulate you into anything. Past is past, you're in the present. People change but often not the way we'd like).

Remember to be hopeful and to keep a quiet balanced mind. Always trust your heart and follow it. It knows better than your fears.

Have you seen this childhood show: Taina (2001-2002), United States (English and Spanish)

Commentary/Context/Memories: The theme song always pops in my head when I remember this show! And they also had some pretty big music stars on as guests: Shakira, Solange, Kelly Rowland, Luis Fonsi.

[Mod A: The theme song in question is “Gonna Be a Star” and it was sung by Christina Vidal who played Taina. Taina was a Puerto Rican teenager who attends the Manhattan High School of the Performing Arts to train to become a singer and actress. She attends the school with her bestie Renee Jones (a rapper who is also boy-crazy) and runs into their childhood friend Lamar (aspiring director/writer with a crush on Taina) and his friend Daniel (multi-instrumentalist who may have a crush on Renee and accompanies Taina when she sings). Each episode, Taina deals with friendship issues, usually runs into her nemesis (Maritza Hogg, who knew them when they were younger, is ruthless but sometimes an ally to Taina), goes to school, gets into mishaps with her friends and sometimes performs a song (by herself or sometimes with the episode’s guest star). This show was one of the first (if not the) latina-lead sitcoms on Nickelodeon, and it was super popular until its untimely cancellation, which seems to have been because of behind the scenes drama with recording studio contracts and executive meddling, not because of actual viewership numbers (which were high) or the quality of the show itself. Regardless, this show seems to be right up my alley! I feel like Victorious got a LOT of inspiration from this show.]

The American Music Awards took place in LA on Sunday night, and the ceremony did not escape controversy.

Early in the broadcast, Kelly Rowland took the stage at the Microsoft Theater to present the award for Favorite Male R&B Artist.

In contention for the win were Brent Faiyaz, Giveon, Lucky Daye, The Weeknd, and Chris Brown — and the last was crowned the winner.

This isn't the only time that a public figure has been criticized for praising Brown. In fact, last October, Lizzo came under fire for saying that he was her "favorite person."

I’m like anon I can’t explain fully why but lately Taylors been coming off way more shady and sleazy than before. Maybe it’s celeb fatigue like in the past month a large number of celebs I really liked for years have said some out of pocket things or have stuff come out about them that come as such a disappointing surprise. Dolly Parton, Helena Bonham Carter, Katy Perry. All the women like Jordan Sparks, Kelly Rowland, Rihanna who are either caping for abusers or are working with them. Margot Robbie and the rest of them working with David Russel despite his documented past of abuse. Im even more upset by Margot Robbie than Taylor. But stuff like this keeps happening Taylor and her involvement with Crawdads. It’s like they say one thing and do another when it’s financially beneficial. After watching this tiktok on Taylor keeping her music off Spotify and the original statement she released and seeing that tweet resurface about how Taylor’s team would threaten publications that wrote negatively about her it’s left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s clear Taylor has always been morally on the side that benefits her career over anything else. It’s just really feeling like all these celebs are so grimy and sinister.

i just feel like every year we more and more feel the brutal failings of capitalism and we grow more and more disgusted with the upper echelons of society who have the power and platform to try to enact change and do nothing.

Tyler Perry can't direct all of the movies; it's exhausting and time-consuming. That's why he will let you direct the movies that he has no time for because he is busy with other projects.

Once you have trademarked your name, you will use it to direct our new movies as a duo, Zoe and Rosario directors. I hope my message was clear. You should prepare for this because my screenplays will be ready soon. Talk to Jonathan Majors; he will become the new generation of 'Shaft.'

I just want to clarify that 'Shaft' plays a good guy, a hero in his movies. But the character Jonathan Majors will play will be corrupt. He will do a lot of foul stuff. That's what the audience wants to see, a mean and cruel version of 'Shaft.' Obviously, there are a lot of good guys in the movie; they will go through ups and downs with each other.

And there will be many sequels, that's why I need Jonathan Majors. He will take this role to the top. He will be the bad guy, but as time goes by, he will become good again, that type of character. I don't want to spoil it for you, but it will be ready soon, so you better get ready and trademark your name at the patent office.

If you need funding for this film, you can ask several people to fund this. I know Halle Berry wants to be a producer. Tell her to invest. Kelly Rowland has money; tell her to invest too. Kimora Simmons has money; tell her to invest. (Fun fact: she will be surprised when she watches this film; she will recognize the name of Djimon, one of the characters has his name.)

Also, you can tell Oprah that I didn't add her to the list of producers because I don't think she invests in movies that have violence; she has an image to maintain, you know? I didn't add Natalie Portman and Gal Gadot as well because they have an image to maintain in Hollywood. They can't invest in certain movies with Black actors to avoid media scrutiny.

Ahem 🥸 I believe that there are only 3 categories of woman he’d be able to pull and retain successfully.

1) The Alabama Barker-type of girl. The comes from money, but has adopted a different aesthetic and runs in degenerate circles. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the girl has to be white. The black equivalent to this would be maybe Yaya Mayweather.

2) The Instagram girl but specifically Fashion Nova-BBL-L.A. girls. Think Ana, Jodie Joe, Aaleeyah Petty. I can’t think of anyone around his age right now.

3) A semi-regular girl. This one has subcategories.

3.1) A regular girl with a career, something along the lines of real estate or owning her own business. More likely than not, she would have a presence on social media, a few thousand followers maybe.

3.2) A real regular girl who goes to school or works a normal job. Maybe an office baddie, maybe a nurse. We don’t know.

IMO, he’s more likely to retain 3.1 than 3.2 for a number of reasons I cannot begin to get into.

The Masked Singer: S10 E6 (One Hit Wonder Night) Running Commentary

There wasn’t an episode last week because Fox was airing the World Series. (BTW, congratulations to the Texas Rangers on winning their first World Series championship.)

This week four new masks are joining the competition. As always, I post before seeing any unmaskings, so don’t take these as spoilers.

Donut 🍩: The judge immediately remarked on his height, so he might be an athlete. A lot of references to the Wild West and country music. He said he was part of a “megahit” that catapulted him to number 1. We also saw a police bridge, and he’s been around the theater. He said he just had the toughest year of his life. He actually does sound a lot like Bjorn Skifs (the lead singer of Blue Swede, whose song “Hooked on a Feeling” Donut is singing tonight), but I don’t think the judges would know who Bjorn Skifs is, just Blue Swede. My mind is kind of leaning towards the original RoboCop, Peter Weller (who is also an academic in addition to his acting career). The bonus clue: “How Bizarre” by OMC. He says he’s had “hit after hit”. I think Ken’s guess of Jeff Bridges is the most plausible, actually. Jeff Bridges has been in a bunch of hit movies and has a brother named Beau (the bow and arrow clue). As for the country and western clues, he won an Oscar playing a country singer in CrazyHeart (where he did his own singing) and was nominated for Oscars for his performances in The Last Picture Show (which is set in a dying Texas town), the remake of True Grit (set in the Old West) and Hell or High Water (which is a neo-Western film). I’m going with Jeff Bridges for now.

Hibiscus 🌺: Grew up in a large family. We see a gingerbread house, has interacted with Sharon Stone, David Bowie, and Elton John. Has married multiple times. She mentioned a “stint in a hospital”, which means she either had a prior medical career or possibly was on General Hospital, E.R., or Grey’s Anatomy. Bonus clue: “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. She says she’s competed in beauty pageants and worn a tiara. I’m a bit stumped here, but I’m leaning towards Kim Zolciak only because she’s attempted a singing career.

Anteater 🐜 😋: I saw some online speculation that this could be John Oates from Hall & Oates, but let’s see the clues first. He’s had a long career. Saw a cougar roaring at him. Went through a dark time and moved onto a farm. We see an eye on a box. Just from the voice alone, this does kind of line up with John Oates. Bonus clue: “Somebody’s Watching Me” by Rockwell. He says he sang in front of 40% of the entire world. My first thought went to Live Aid, and I think Hall & Oates played that show. (Double checked, they did indeed play the Philadelphia part of the event.) But it’s the voice more than anything else. Oates doesn’t sing a lot of lead vocals with Hall & Oates (Daryl Hall primarily fills that role), but if you’ve ever listened to “She’s Gone”, you can hear John pretty prominently in that song singing the lower melody and there’s a rasp that was there in 1973 (when the song was originally released) and I can still hear it in Anteater’s voice.

Candelabra 🕯️: Seen calling Kevin Hart. She began her career at age 12. We see a butterfly 🦋 which means she could have a connection to Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child. Well, Kelly Rowland has been performing since she was a tween, being a part of Girls Tyme with Beyoncé (which was a forerunner to Destiny’s Child). And of course, she and Beyoncé were bandmates with Michelle Williams. But…we see the state of California, and Destiny’s Child is from Texas. The bonus clue: “Two Princes” by Spin Doctors. “Who needs two princes when you have one Fire Princess?” Nicole’s guess of Brandy is a good one, and Brandy is from California. I’m going to officially say I’m stumped on this one. But I have a feeling she won’t be unmasked tonight.
