Okay babes, episode 8 is nothing short of exciting!
📍Hae-in choosing to divorce Hyun-woo so he'd finally be free from all the bullshit her family put him up with, and Hyun-woo deciding to stay at Queens so he could prove his innocence and protect Hae-in. I feel sad that they actually divorced but again, it was necessary for them to "part ways" so they'd find their way back into each other, and I think the next episode will be about them slowly rekindling their romance and hopefully healing from the past. I am anticipating a more beautiful wedding than their first one.
📍Don't get me wrong, I still hate Eun-seong but now I'm becoming more and more interested in his backstory, so this bitch still has some ✨humanity✨ in him, judging from the way he reacted when he found out about Hae-in's illness. Him saving Hae-in from the dog attack when they were kids answered the question why he hates dogs. He's still trash, however I do have a feeling that he will have some character redemption somewhere and will basically help Hae-in find a cure, but we'll never know for sure.
📍Hong Man-dae is the biggest fucking idiot among the Hong family, I'm not saying he deserves what happened to him, I'm saying that he needs to learn the hard way and be slapped with the truth so hard that I want him to come down to his knees and beg his children for forgiveness. As much as I feel sorry for him, he was a terrible father to all of them when they got older...and trusting a fucking shaman? Really?
📍Speaking of which, I am actually glad that the Hong family is now broke af. They need to be humbled big time, especially Hae-in's mom, that bitch is such a poor judge of character. I want her to feel embarrassed and terrible about herself for constantly looking down at Hyun-woo and his family, these are the same people who'd willingly save and help their asses even if it meant getting dragged into this shit hole they dug themselves. Also, I saw a clip of the nosy old ladies who were making fun of her at the salon, I say...DESERVE! I hope she starts to change because honestly, I'm so fed up with her and her bullshit.
📍Soo-cheol maybe immature, but I have to admit that he's a good father. He just wanted his son to experience everything he never did, idk what Da-hye was up to. Maybe it was part of their plans? Perhaps she foresaw how messy it's going to be that's why she chose to run away, we'll never know for sure. I still have faith that she'll choose to do what's right for the sake of her son, after all, Soo-cheol treated her and their baby well.
📍Shout out to Song Joong-ki for his cameo. Hiring Vincenzo as a divorce lawyer is such a Hae-in move 😂

TV Shows/Dramas watched in 2023
Night Has Come (2023, South Korea)
Director: Im Dae Woong
Writer: Kang Min Ji
Mini-review:
I've been obssesed with the Mafia game for years, so I was really excited when this sort-of-adaptation was announced. But tbh, it's nothing extraordinary. While it's very fun and it keeps you glued to the screen, it's also very silly. What's more, pretty much all the characters are incredibly dumb and frustrating. Although I have to say that's part of what makes the show fun. You just can't help but stick around to see how these characters mess things up even more. Hell, they make so many stupid decisions that I actually found myself screaming at the TV more times than I'd like to admit. Some of the twists did catch me by surprise, but the ending was... not good. I had already guessed the writer would pull something like that, but it was actually worse than I expected. Anyway, Night Has Come isn't good, but I had a fun watching it and it kept me entertained, so that's something.

Somehow has normal, alive parents: Lee Jun-ho (Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Has no backstory at all. We only meet his older sister and hear nothing about his childhood.) Shin Ha-ri (Business Proposal, her family is refreshingly normal, right down to her brother being sent out to find her when she's drunk) Oh Han-byeol (Sh**ting Stars, Again, we know almost nothing about her family, only that she has twin sisters. But she doesn't appear to have childhood trauma.) Park Yeon-woo (The Story of Park's Marriage Contract, her mom being annoyed at her for something that is a crime doesn't count as bad parenting) Lee Young-joon/Sung-hyun (What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, his trauma comes from a kidnapper, his parents faced a pretty impossible situation and did their best. They clearly love their kids) Baek Hyun-woo (Queen of Tears, nothing wrong with them out of the ordinary and they are in the drama a significant amount.) Ha Eun-gyeol (Twinkling Watermelon, very loving parents and the deafness and their reliance on him is not anyone's fault)
*Counting her as an orphan even though she gets her parents back after 20 years, she spent her childhood orphaned. ***This character is tricky because I understand why her mother wanted nothing to do with her, but her trying to manipulate the dad and also saying he didn't raise her properly made me so angry. Uncatagorized due to lack of clarity on parents: Soundtrack #1, Hospital Playlist, Happiness

Rambling About a Show (10/11/2022)
Tumblr media
⚠️SPOILER?!⚠️
So, I started this on Sunday (10/09/2022) and finished it today. My thoughts are gonna be a bit backwards with this one.
Yo, what kind of ending was that?! 🤨 I’m not even mad about it, however it has me asking a lot of questions. 😣 I cried when Jung Sa-bin gave the rings back to Kim Soo-hyuk, explaining that she knows who is truly in her heart. From what I understand with the ending it implies that Cheon Jong-beom and Jung Sa-bin end up together. I’m only basing that off how I interpreted the ending. Even if it was a bit confusing (to me) to begin with.
I have to admit that the reason I was watching this was because of Lee Soo-hyuk. I think I’m gonna end up mentioning this for every drama I watch of his. 🤣 I honestly think I’ll do that for any actor and actress that I enjoy watching. 🤣 He may have been the main reason for me, but I stuck around for the plotline. A few other reasons I stuck around is because it’s a crime show. Which I love crime shows. Also I enjoyed the idea of the red string theory, and reincarnation.
So, they mentioned broken heart syndrome later in the series. I can’t remember the exact episode it was mentioned in. Then it was brought up again towards the end. Well, both times I cried about it. Because it hit close to home for me. Due to the fact that, that was mom’s cause of death. Granted this series had me crying several times. I’m not even kidding. 🤣 Pretty much EVERY emotional or tear jerking scene had me crying. ESPECIALLY when  Cha Hyung-bin’s remains were buried by Jung Ha-eun. When this happened it came to light of why Cha Hyung-bin had approached Jung Ha-eun in the first place. The guilt that man had carried all that time. 💔
Listen, the way Detective Cha Hyung-bin was protective and loved Jung Ha-eun, it was heartwarming. I felt that he was a cheesy romantic but I loved it. Then we have Prosecutor Kim Soo-hyuk. He’s a badass with a smug, it has to be my way, attitude. The complete opposite of Detective Cha hyung-bin. Even though Soo-hyuk was a bit of dick, I ended up liking his character. Though I didn’t like the way he went about prosecuting people. But it is what it is.
In the case of  Gong Ji-chul and Cheon Jong-bum. Even though both were innocent for the most part. I still didn’t like the fact that he was stalking  ung Ha-eun and Jung Sa-bin. Like, I’m glad Gong Ji-chul’s named was cleared, but still his behavior was a excessive and unsettling. Same with Cheon Jong-bum. Jang Ki-young did a fantastic job of portraying both characters.
I’m glad that in the end Prosecutor Kim Soo-hyuk began the process of correcting all his wrongs. I teared up when he resigned as Prosecutor but later showed up as an Attorney. The way his belief had changed was also amazing as well.
Of course there were a ton of plot twists in my opinion. Every twist kept me intrigued. I lost a lot of sleep over this series because I’d rather have answers than sleep. 🤣 That’s just how good it was to me.

Living as an Extra in an Omegaverse novel
Side story Chapter 9
“Now that we’re gathered like this, it feels like we’re having a meeting.”
“Cough.”
This case was caught while Se-hyeon was eating black sesame porridge served as a pre-dinner dish.
As Se-hyeon was coughing lightly, Shin Tae-oh handed him a glass of water. He took the glass of water and drank it quickly to try to calm himself down, but the feeling of a foreign body was still stuck in his throat and he felt like he would continue to cough.
Se-hyeon covered his mouth and looked at Jeong Mi-jeong, barely holding back the cough that was about to break out.
“Didn’t you tell your parents what you two were up to?”
When Jeong Mi-jeong asked Shin Tae-oh, Se-hyeon looked at the expressions on his parents' faces. He had mentioned that he was dating someone, and that he would bring that person to greet them later when the time was right.
So, I didn't say I was dating anyone...
'Why is no one surprised?'
These are the people who should have been as surprised as Se-hyeon when the word ‘family reunion’ came out. I looked at Shin Tae-oh to see if he had said something, but he shook his head slightly. If not Shin Tae-oh, how did you know?
Ahn Baek-cheon said, pushing away the untouched porridge.
“Of course the person who visits me every time I go to the hospital is the person you’re dating.”
"Uh… ”
While Se-hyeon was dumbfounded and couldn't find the words to reply, Kim Hye-sun also added something.
“The world has gotten better these days. In the past, ordering via cell phone was too complicated and difficult, so I had to go and buy it in person, but now everything can be done with just one phone call? Who can tell me that?”
This probably means that Shin Tae-oh informed me.
In the end, it was a situation where Se-hyeon had no choice but to know even if he didn't say that the person he was dating was Shin Tae-oh.
"One phone call...."
Jeong Mi-jeong looked at Shin Tae-oh carefully, pulling out meaningful words from Kim Hye-sun's words.
“I was wondering why our manager keeps leaving.”
“I really wanted to see my father.”
Shin Tae-oh interrupted Jeong Mi-jeong and hugged Shin Ki-han.
“I was already planning to quit everything I was doing and come to Korea when they said you were in the operating room.”
“It’s a good thing you didn’t do that.”
Shin Ki-han also said that if Shin Tae-oh had done something wrong, he would have quit what he was doing and come back. Fortunately, the surgery went well, and Shin Tae-oh recovered quickly.
Therefore, Shin Tae-oh did not feel disappointed at all that Shin Ki-han could not come. In fact, his expression was relaxed.
“Do you like the food here?”
Maybe that's why Shin Tae-oh immediately turned her attention to Kim Hye-sun.
“Huh? Uh. It’s so delicious, and how can each and every item be made with so much care?”
"Yes? The gift I gave you includes a meal voucher for this restaurant, so please come again.”
As Shin Tae-oh devoted all his attention to Kim Hye-sun, Shin Ki-han looked at his son with sad eyes.
“Wasn’t the reason we decided to meet today to see Dad?”
I was looking forward to meeting my son today for the first time in several years, but I was pushed down the rankings.
“I guess the reunion was more important than your own life.”
Jeong Mi-jeong poked her husband in the side to stop him from becoming depressed. Shin Ki-han, who came to his senses, saw Se-hyeon.
“He looks better in person than when I heard him on the phone.”
I often heard Se-hyeon's story from my wife. She told me that our son had his first lover and told me who he was. She also told me about the stories they shared while having a meal when they met occasionally.
"Thank you."
Se-hyeon followed Jeong Mi-Jeong and saw Shin Ki-Han.
What should I call it?
"...Father."
“Hmm.”
Like Se-hyeon, Shin Ki-han covered his mouth with his fist and cleared his throat, as if something was stuck in his throat.
…Did I say something wrong?
I guess it's because it's the first time we've met and it's a private occasion.
“Father, please drink some water here.”
At that time, Se-hyeon saw Shin Tae-oh handing a glass of water to his father and laughed.
Father here, father there too.
Yes, I'm calling my father honourably, so what's wrong with that?
Se-hyeon scooped up some of the next salad and placed it in front of Shin Ki-han.
“Father, please eat.”
"Thank you."
“You can let go. Mother, please eat it too.”
“Okay. This is delicious. Se-hyeon, you eat a lot too.”
Even though she was called “mother” instead of “chairman,” Jeong Mi-jeong didn’t take it seriously.
Like the multi-course meal, the meeting ceremony began to progress to a full-fledged main course.
***
Let's summarize.
Shin Tae-oh met and contacted Se-hyeon's parents from time to time. Se-hyeon also met with the chairman from time to time.
We didn't tell that to each other.
The reason is?
Well.
There was no particular reason why Se-hyeon did not tell Shin Tae-oh right away.
It really was a case where I thought of the Chairman when I was passing by the headquarters and contacted him...
Shin Tae-oh, well, it would be similar.
As a result, there was no difficulty in communicating with each other's parents.
“I’m thinking about applying the IC event to other affiliates as well. Of course, we won’t leave out the headquarters.”
“I will also select a few areas for improvement and send them to you.”
When Jeong Mi-jeong picked up the tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties) and placed it in Se-hyeon's personal bowl, Se-hyeon immediately took it and answered.
“It would be nice if Se-hyeon did that. But what was it like when you tried it yourself?”
After taking a bite of the tteokgalbi, Se-hyeon pursed his lips and was lost in thought.
“I liked it because it was different from existing events.”
“Okay? It’s worth it to be busy while Tae-oh is preparing.”
When Jeong Mi-jeong put the japchae in the bowl, Se-hyeon picked it up and ate it right away.
Shin Ki-han looked at the two curiously. Because I was in a foreign country, it was different to see someone I had only heard of on the phone face to face.
This time, Shin Ki-han saw his son. I didn't expect that the reunion between father and son would be so unusual. Rather...
“Please call me if you like staying here.”
"Why?”
“I will extend the deadline. Stay as long as you want and then head down. No, would you just like to stay here until the next inspection? Please keep that gift so you can use it later.”
“Oh, one day is enough. This is enough. I never thought I would sleep in a hotel in my life.”
“So, you should stay here without any regrets this time.”
...He was having trouble somewhere else.
'It's Tae-oh.'
Your father is here.
Your father, who flew to the other side of the world to build a company, is here...
“They say the next test will take a long time, so eat well and go.”
“Is that so?”
My father also has to stay for a few days and then leave again. For some reason, I couldn't open my mouth because I felt like if I said something like that, it would end with just saying, "Have a nice trip."
Shin Ki-han looked at his obnoxious son and then smiled as if breaking down.
L'I'm still glad.'
I always cared about Tae-oh. He wondered how many times he should quit his job because he felt like he had been neglecting his son to grow the company.
In fact, even when Tae-oh was a student, he had a professional manager by his side for a lot of time, but it was no use. No matter how hard the couple tried, the emptiness that was deeply embedded in their son did not go away.
The moment Jeong Mi-jeong realized that the two of them alone could not make up for her son's shortcomings, she made a bold decision.
Tae-oh: Let’s wait until we can get what we want.
The son I met again changed. The emptiness that had swirled inside was pushed away and appeared filled with various emotions.
'Then that's it.'
He received so many greetings that he already had enough.
Shin Ki-han looked at Shin Tae-oh's lover with a much more at ease mind.
Se-hyeon clearly had a calm feeling as he ate a large piece of rib without showing any signs of it. Even though his voice is not loud, he has good pronunciation, so he can be heard clearly and attracts attention even though he does not make big gestures.
It was even easier to compare them as Shin Tae-oh, who had a striking face with dark features, was next to him. Se-hyeon may not have a very flashy appearance, but he has a charm that keeps drawing attention.
'Smile’
The reason seemed to be the smile that definitely changed the mood once it was made. Because you have to keep your eyes peeled to see the smile. He was an unusual man in that respect.
Shin Ki-han, who was looking at Shin Tae-oh and Se-hyeon alternately, discovered something else.
'Come to think of it…’
Strangely, I saw my wife.
She was still holding her chopsticks, but her rice was not even half eaten.
I thought she ate a lot of side dishes, but that wasn't the case. She was always busy moving things to Se-hyeon.
The situation was the same over there.
Mrs. Kim Hye-sun personally sliced her fish and placed it on Shin Tae-oh's rice. Shin Tae-oh willingly took the large piece of meat into his mouth.
‘This is not some kind of mother bird.’
Shin Ki-han looked at the table. The previous course meals were already empty, and the final table setting for 6 people was almost empty. Two people were ordering 6 servings of meat at a meat restaurant, but two people were ordering Korean food and preparing it for dinner.
They said it wasn't a meeting, but it was really just a meal.

Episode 9 "Save My Daughter!"
In Episode 9, we learn how Do-Ki obtained the Cotaya files, which were discovered by Ha-Joon during his visit. Do-Ki enters his house and sees Ha-Joon looking at some pictures, Ha-Joon quickly makes an excuse and leaves in a hurry, leaving Do-Ki with doubts. The next day, Ha-Joon questions his subordinate about how the files ended up with the taxi driver. The subordinate has no explanation and is now threatened by Ha-Joon to investigate the reason for the leak of the files.
Tumblr media
The Rainbow taxi team is having a typical day when Do-Ki notices a man protesting outside a nearby hospital for the truth. Later that day, the man saw a Rainbow taxi advertisement and called them. Do-Ki meet with the man and listened to his story. A year ago, the man's daughter, Han Su-Ryeon, was admitted to hospital for surgery by a renowned director.
During the procedure, the director noticed something unusual but dismissed his concerns when his daughter was brought out of the operating room. However, he soon discovers that his daughter has fallen into a coma. He attempts to take the surgeon to court, but without evidence, the trial is unsuccessful.
Tumblr media
He stands outside the hospital demanding justice and documentation of the surgery room. The Rainbow taxi team considers this a medical malpractice case, but the surgeon in question has a clear and positive track record.
This makes them reluctant to take the case, and Sung-Chul ultimately decides not to take it. However, the others are still unsure and express their concern for the man. Do-Ki is hesitant to abandon this case. He meets Cheon Ji-Hun, the One Dollar Lawyer, who helps him understand that he cannot give up on it.
Tumblr media
Later, he meets the man and assesses his situation. Meanwhile, the others sneak into the hospital to steal their records, but find nothing. Do-Ki also sneaks in and searches through the handwritten files. He discovers that Su-Ryeon's files were destroyed due to a leak.
Do-Ki becomes suspicious and investigates the crime scene, the operation room. He is unable to enter due to camera sensors at the entrance, so he pretends to be a patient and puts on an act with Sung-Chul.
Tumblr media
Do-Ki asks Go-Eun to turn off the camera on his glasses for three minutes. After that, she can turn it back on, and the hospital staff can pretend that the sensors have become faulty. The plan is put into action, and Do-Ki is successfully put on the operating table and given anesthesia.
As he slowly loses consciousness, Go-Eun turns on the camera and sees the director leaving the room while another doctor enters instead.

Episode 10 "I Know Kim Do-gi The Best"
The tenth episode starts with Do-Ki entering the operation theatre. However, someone else takes the position of the surgeon, and director Ahn Young-Sook is seen leaving the surgery. Go-Eun witnesses this, and the other man is about to begin the surgery when the nurse informs them that they have the wrong patient in the room.
Tumblr media
Do-Ki wakes up and is pleased with what he found. He stays at the hospital for a longer period and follows the man who replaced Ahn Young-Sook. He discovers that the man works in sales at a pharmacy company associated with Young-Sook.
He discovers a schedule packed with surgeries and uncovers the true identity of the person performing them. The Rainbow Taxi team reconvenes to discuss the case and Go-Eun discovers that Young-Sook changed her name and has a criminal record under her previous name.
She was caught for fraud after making a salesman perform surgeries for her and paid a fine before changing her name to continue her work. Later, Young-Sook meets with the man who replaced her. She threatens him to continue performing surgeries for her, or else he will be in deep trouble.
Tumblr media
She instructs him to get into the waiting car and return to performing surgeries. However, Do-Ki is not willing to let this happen and kidnaps the man. He questions him about Su-Ryeon and discovers that an error was made during the surgery, which Young-Sook quickly covered up.
Do-Ki is angry and tells the man that his actions were wrong and inexcusable. Young-Sook has found out about the man's disappearance and orders him to be replaced. Do-Ki then returns to the hospital and questions Young-Sook's true motives.
Ha-Joon arrives and tells Do-Ki that he has come to visit someone. This makes Do-Ki realize that the hospital hardly receives any visitors. The lack of visitors reveals that most of the patients in this hospital are elderly and have no family around them. Therefore, their treatment brings money into Young-Sook's pockets from the government.
Tumblr media
Young-Sook receives a message that another elderly man's condition is not optimistic. Upon arriving, she orders the nurse to write it off as death due to a chronic disorder. This leaves Go-Eun and Do-Ki speechless. They plan to move the elderly man to another hospital with the whole team.
Tumblr media
The man is soon brought out, and Do-Ki leaves to confront Young-Sook. First, the team informs Young-Sook that her entire fortune has been donated. Then, government officials arrive to assess the hospital and discover many surprising factors.
Additionally, the man who used to work for Young-Sook turns himself in and exposes her truth. Later, Young-Sook returns to the now-destroyed hospital and plans her escape, but Do-Ki arrives and gives her a taste of her own medicine.
Meanwhile, Ha-Joon has something in store for Do-Ki, and Do-Ki's taxi is soon bombed, exploding in front of the others.

Kill Boksoon
Release Date: March 31, 2023 | Netflix
SYNOPSIS:
At work, she's a renowned assassin. At home, she's a single mom to a teenage girl. Killing is easy. It's parenting that's the hard part.
REVIEW:
Gil Boksoon is one of the top killers at an 'assassin agency' in Korea. She tries to balance her murder contracts with raising her rebellious teenage daughter. Whilst the action sequences are reminiscent of John Wick there is enough interaction between mother and daughter to engage the audience and set this aside from just being a capricious action film. There are suitable references between Gil's childhood and her teen daughter Jaeyoung to see that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
There are great action sequences such as the initial confrontation on Seoul’s Dongha Bridge and the Vladivostok saloon to name a few, and you'd think that the last thing we need is another John Wick wannabe, but there is enough substance to make it stand apart from the crowd and hold its head up high.
CAST: Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Kim Si-a, Esom, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Seung-o, Lee Yeon, Choi Byung-mo, Kim Ki-cheon, Park Kwang-jae, Jang In-sub
