Valentine's Day Headcanons for my Kirby AU

Gonna put this under a cut because WALL OF TEXT

First of all, there is the Japanese practice of "giri choco" (obligation chocolate) given to male co-workers and such. Pretty much like how you had to give everyone a valentine in elementary school. Then the more modern (and accepted due to office worker power harrassment) version is "tomo choco" (friendship chocolate), where women give them to their friends. Lastly, there is honmei choco (true feeling chocolate), given to people that the women have romantic feelings for. They are generally higher quality and more expensive than giri choco and sometimes even homemade.

All this to go over the following:

Kirby always receives a lot of tomo choco, but is always unaware that the chocolate Ribbon sends is honmei choco.

Dedede receives chocolate from all the female Waddle Dees that work for him. You could say it's giri choco, and you're technically right, but it can also count as tomo choco.

Bandana is the same as Dedede.

Meta Knight always receives the most chocolate on Valentine's Day. Though not just any chocolate, honmei chocolate. He actually never eats it all because there's just so many of them and Gale will probably be on his ass if he tries to, so he and his crew just mindlessly eat it for the rest of the year. There are a few chocolates he receives in the mail that he does take time to savor. These are, of course, the chocolates he receives from Kurabe, Mercury, Akemi, Tam, Fettuccine, and Pandoro. To be technical, everyone but Fetty's is tomo choco, but the notes left with them give them different names: -Kurabe's is "mama choco" -Mercury and Tam's are "neesan choco" -Akemi and Pandoro are the only ones who still call it "tomo choco" Of course, Fettuccine's chocolate is always honmei choco.

Dedede does receive chocolate from his mom, but it does have a bit of gambling… in the sense that he's gambling with which of his favorite flavors he'd want to eat first.

Bandana also receives chocolate from Morimura, his mother.

Bio Gale does reluctantly participate in this holiday, but simply gives MK a toothbrush and toothpaste alongside a chocolate covered apple.

Kurabe does give Mikuto honmei choco, but it's actually very similar to the chocolate she gives Meta. Both of them are chocolate fondant cake using the most expensive chocolate that can be bought plus the most expensive vanilla ice cream she could buy in a time, frozen capsule to make sure they're fresh as possible when they arrive at their destination. Compare this to the giri choco she gives a certain silver asshole which is just melted and reshaped.

As I mentioned, it's basically a suped up version of her signature chocolate fondant that Meta loves so much.

Mercury gives chocolate too. She's careful to make sure that Kurabe and Reedy's are the same quality because she knows she'll never hear the end of it if one is better than the other. But they do know that her special chocolate is for Eagle. But anyway, for Reedy… -honmei choco from Raita in the form of a big cake -daughter chocolate from Lyze and Ciel -sister chocolate from Mercury -giri chocolate from Kurabe, Pandoro, Fettuccine, and Granita -honmei from a few fucking idiots Note: Granita's is usually just a half-eaten candy bar because she's not allowed to touch a stove and she forgot Reedy gives the honmei to Calzone with the comment of "here, you can pretend you have a girlfriend."

Hey, I'm new here, and I really like your comics and animated series. But, I was reading through some of your posts, and it seems like you got a lot of AU's and I was wondering if you could give brief explanation on them.

Thank you! ^^ I've really been looking forward to answering this ask, because I just love making lists of stuff I've done~

(RWBY) NeverFell: An alternate universe where the Battle of Beacon ended in victory instead of defeat, and the story remains as the action-dramedy everyone knew and loved~. The Midnight mini-series is under the umbrella of this AU.

(RWBY) Familyverse: An alternate universe where the RWBY girls' parents have a larger influence on their lives, and their appearances are changed accordingly. This AU comprises the backstories I created for my first set of RWBY redesign videos ('Family Resemblance'), which can be found here. I only add it to this list because I did mention it on Tumblr once or twice.

(RWBY) Maiden Hunters: An alternate universe where the members of Team WTCH are all young women who can gain the Maiden powers featured in the later volumes of the series. This is another AU mostly covered in videos, although I did answer a few asks about it here.

(Kirby) Dream Alliance: A gijinka alternate universe covering the story of Kirby Star Allies, where Kirby has been killed by Void Termina, leaving his friends and the rest of the world to figure out how to defeat a god without him. The story follows a version of Magolor who was raised by Hyness in the Jambastion cult, and is now working to become a mech pilot in the Dream Alliance fleet.

(Kirby) Wish Library: A gijinka alternate universe where Marx and Galacta Knight spend their days trying to protect the Galactic Nova they live in from being captured by 'Star Hunters'.

(Kirby) Super Star Sentai: A gijinka alternate universe where Kirby is the main antagonist, whose ideas of 'having fun' result in apocalyptic consequences. Meta Knight, Dark Meta Knight, Galacta Knight, Morpho Knight, and Susie form a team of heroes to help protect what remains of humanity from total annihilation.

(Kirby) Knights Errant: A gijinka alternate universe where a valiant knight (Meta Knight) and a demon of destruction (Dark Matter Swordsman) gradually learn the reasons why the Dream Lands have fallen into darkness, and how their king (Dedede) plans to restore the light.

(Kirby) Mapop Magical: A gijinka alternate universe where Francisca, Flamberge, and Zan Partizanne are magical girls in a reversal of the story of Kirby Star Allies. Together they protect their town from the fairy monsters brought to their world by the evil Princess Kirby.

(Kirby) GONE: A gijinka alternate universe where the Master Crown succeeded in taking over Magolor's body and destroying Pop Star. Eons later, as it enters a brutal losing conflict with other dimension-scale rulers, it begins to wonder if its former host is truly 'gone'.

(Kirby) Magical Friends: I don't really talk about this like it's an AU, but technically it is, and I think I take it for granted that everyone knows what it is, so I wanted to correct that here. ^^; Anyway, Magical Friends is an alternate universe animation series chronicling Gryll's tumultuous developing friendship with Magolor, Marx and Adeleine. The companion 'comic dub' series operates under the assumption that they're already friends, allowing for even more lighthearted cartoon hijinks.

Hello!

Welcome to the Organization Official, the official social media page for the galactic peacekeeping force known as the Organization. To promote our mission and allow for more transparency, we have decided to set up a blog for anyone who wishes to ask questions to our soldiers and affiliates.

My name is Shinkiro, and I am part of the Administration division of the Organization. I directly work for the general, in other words.

Before I leave you off on your own, I was told to go over a few rules for questions.

Depending on how many asks are received, we might not be able to answer all of them. Please remember that we are a working Organization and not all divisions will be able to answer every question they receive.

Kurabe

The Lady of Shadows and one of the Organization's Big Four Commanders. Leader of the Combat division and captain of the battleship GranEssex. Originally an orphan from a desolate planet, she was taken in by General Z and became one of the greatest warriors in the galaxy. In the past, she was the mentor of Meta Knight. When off-duty, she does her best to be an adoptive mother to him as well, though she can be overbearing at times.

Kirby

The Hero of Planet Popstar. A humble child that belies the amazing powers he holds. Despite this, he greatly cares for his friends. Student of Meta Knight.

Meta Knight

A former member of the Organization who is now living on Planet Popstar. The leader of the Meta Knights. Kurabe's greatest student and mentor to Kirby.

King Dedede

The self-proclaimed ruler of Dreamland. He claims to be Kirby's rival, but everyone else can definitely see that they are friends. Has memorized the appearance and names of all 400 Waddle Dees who work under him.

Bandana Waddle Dee

One of King Dedede's advisors and one of Kirby's closest friends. He is surprisingly strong for being a Waddle Dee. Probably the most levelheaded of Dedede's Waddle Dees and the king's oldest friend, hailing from his home planet of Brightfall.

Mercury

Vice captain of the battleship GranEssex. Kurabe's best friend. Her species is a liquid metal shapeshifter known as a Limet. Normally very level-headed. She is like an older sister to Meta Knight.

Erhard

The chief medical officer of the GranEssex. A male Limet who is a kind doctor. Previously imprisoned in solitary confinement for a crime he didn't commit, he was acquitted and joined the ship out of gratitude. He is a bit socially awkward due to his isolation.

Akemi

Kurabe's current star pupil. While she is on the surface shy and has little confidence in herself, she shows great strength when angered.

Reedy

One of the Organization's Big Four, the leader of the Intelligence Division, and captain of the battleship VictoriousArc. Kurabe's rival and Mercury's adoptive older brother. An extremely smart Limet that has a bit of tunnel vision. He is a bit of a stickler for the rules and often gets into conflict with Kurabe, originating due to his first belief of her not earning her position due to being the General's student and adopted daughter (untrue). Despite this, he really loves his wife, Raita and his children.

General Z

The General of the Organization. Kurabe's mentor and adoptive father. Believed to be the oldest still living Star Warrior in the universe, he can still put up a good fight despite this. He can be a bit protective of his daughter.

Risotto

One of the members of Task Force Zetta, an elite unit of only Limets that directly serves Reedy in the Intelligence Division. A beast summoner who is a gentle giant. He doesn't talk much.

Pandoro

One of the members of Task Force Zetta. A skilled swordswoman who joined around the same time as Risotto. She speaks in an old-fashioned tone.

Fettuccine

A member of Task Force Zetta. She is the youngest member to join the group and is noted at being a genius when it comes to interrogation. She is like a younger sister to Risotto and Pandoro. She develops a close friendship with Meta during his time in the Organization, but it's clear that they blossomed into something more...

King Bebebe

The ruler of the Crescent Kingdom on Brightfall and King Dedede's father. A righteous king who is an avid supporter of the Organization and a close friend of Kurabe, who he often calls "Kura-kura" and "Kuracchi". The two of them have a past that Kurabe is slightly embarrassed about. He cares about his son, but is often busy with work. His advisor is Bandana's mother and the army's leader is Bandana's father.

Mikuto

A silly, lazy Star Warrior with a love for music and sleeping. Kurabe's boyfriend who she first encountered on a certain mission.

Katsumi

A powerful mercenary who dresses as a sukeban. Often encounters Kurabe. Likes lollipops and money.

Mars

The leader of the terrorist group Void. A manipulative yet charismatic warrior who enjoys causing chaos.

bassically its about this like, videogame/anime/cartoons/generalweebness/etc/shop/cafe/library

like you can get pastires or snacks and drinks and hang out there and play videogames or read manga and watch anime, and they also sell merchandise related to those

and the shop owner is this girl right here!

her name is chari (pronouned like cherry)

she's very shy and she opened the shop to be somewhere people can hang out, make friends, and feel like they can be themselves, however Chari didn't trust herself to convey the welcoming positive energy that she wanted, nor handle talking to visitors, so she built a robot to help her: this robot is casette!

cassettes purpose is to keep up the welcoming positive aura of the shop and assist visitors, this includes her gigantic database on information related to varius media as well as fandom culture, they can find anything at the shop in seconds, recomend visitors new games/anime/etc, and her database is updated frequently, she also has a visitor database, where she can store information on everyone's preferences and behaviors, their very much a learning ai, so essentially Cassette's experiences will build onto his personality as well as knowledge, Cassette's base personality was developed by picking traits that would be required for her job (passionate, friendly, optimistic etc) than having like, a pool of other traits that are common for the shops target audiences to have and randomizing some to be selected as part of his base personality

bassically the story is just slice of life focused on fandom culture, i guess like overcoming shyness/social anxiety?? like making friends and surronding yourself in a positive and healthy enviorment, with cassette learning more from their expieriances helping visitors and evvuentually kinda helping for chari to build up her confidence, (which was outside of cassettes initial purpose)

and the shop exists in this weird dimension so visitors come from many different worlds and planets,

i dont know what id call it yet but itd be in comic format with a manga inspired art style~

White Day Headcanons for my Kirby AU

Gonna put this under a cut because WALL OF TEXT AGAIN

In Japan, White Day is meant to be an "answer" day for Valentines day where men are supposed to return the chocolate they receive from women with gifts. This can be anything from candies, to jewelry, or anything else of sentimental value. There's also a sort of phrase called "sanbai gaeshi", which is a generally recited rule for men where the return gift must be two or three times the worth of the valentine's gift they receive.

Kirby makes chocolates to be returned, of course.

Dedede and Bandana have a joint gift of a buffet party for all the female Dees.

As for Meta… RIP him, due to the sanbai gaeshi rule. Kurabe has said every year that he doesn't have to follow it, but he still feels guilty about it.

Just to repost what (Bailey) said about Mikuto about what he does for Kurabe:

He uses his leaf powers to create a giant bouquet of multi colored leaves. Since Kurabe would probably tell him to not worry about sanbai gaeshi. And unlike Meta, he'll actually not worry about it and just go all in with being romantic.

Reedy: Spoil Raita, first of all lmao. I imagine he takes Lyze and Ciel out shopping for the day and will buy them whatever they want within reason. Um… for his female crew members, he just leaves them some fairly pricy chocolates. I think I've heavily implied it, but Reedy's actually very nervous when it comes to other women outside of his wife primarily because he's deathly afraid of being accused of cheating.

For Z, he doesn't get much chocolate from important characters, I think. Like I think the only notable characters he recieves it from are Kurabe and Momo. Guess who he spends more on lmao. He loves spoiling his daughter.

Erhard struggles to give return gifts. At 11:59 PM he manages to give Mercury a snow globe. And when asked why a snowglobe he just sweats

Eagle: For Mercury, he'd go clothes shopping and buy whatever she wants followed by a dinner. With her saying constantly that she doesn't want him to spend so much on her, while he constantly says that it's fine.

For Gale, the crew gives her a large basket of fruit and vegetables. MK specifically would buy her new equipment. It's the easiest gift he has to buy.

Speaking of little details, here's some of my favorite swimming animations in the game. These include King Dedede using his hammer as a floatation device, as well as Squirtle and the Duck Hunt Duck swimming like an actual turtle and duck would!

My other favorite details are the swimming animations of Pyra and Mythra. Their swimming animations in Smash Ultimate are the same ones seen in their home game, Xenoblade Chronicles 2!
