Hot take or whatever but I don't think we should trust a guy who gets really distracted by squirrels and balls and a kitten who could easily get hurt to protect our city. Lightning Dude IS one of the better options as they ARE a highly durable and strong robot, but The Bark Knight and Cat Kid maybe aren't our best bets, they could get hurt easily and aren't exactly professionals.

Don't get me started on the Friendly Friends, I don't think we can trust two guys who JUST left the same exact trio that was responsible for that marshmallow factory's destruction (which left many injured, some DEAD), what if they're pretending? Also the bugs could easily get killed, they're small and fragile, the most work they can do without a high risk of getting smashed is spying on villains.

Commander Cupcake's a different story, as I'm pretty sure that guy only helped out, like, 3 times.

I hate how 99% of baldurs gate 3 fanart looks. i feel like that game has thoroughly exposed how bad some artists actually are. and i’m not talking about random hobbyists i mean like Professional portfolio fancy pants artists too. you were all given characters with excellent designs and faces with subtle details and realistic wrinkles and creases and the majority still draw them the exact same with the same anime girl faces and they don’t even REALIZE how shitty it looks it’s honestly embarrassing. no one (not literally no one some artists draw her excellently but i’m being dramatic rn.) draws karlach with any jaw let alone any muscle. everyone draws astarion like a pristine angelic smooth baby faced idiot. no one draws wyll. and no one draws lae’zel bc they can’t render her face in that cookie cutter sexy woman face without completely changing her face. don’t even get me started on shart i’ll explode.

Interrupting my regular schedule (which is none, I'm sorry) to bring you a true horror story I've been made to experience.

Let me tell you about Erevis. His name means 'hunted' in one of the many languages in FR (Thorass for those curious), this is important later. Erevis is a mephistopheles Tiefling but more importantly, a draconic sorcerer. One of my many beloved Durges. He has arcana proficiency and all that as all Sorcerers do. Because that's their whole thing. Having inherited grand skills because somebody who came before them decided right imma be real kinky today. There bit is being so entitled literally just being alive is enough to possess great abilities most can only dream of.

On the Nautiloid during that one scene, I audibly went: damnnnnnnn. And then he failed the Us and the Shart roll. Okay, well, sucks, but we can live with it. Happened to the best of us (no literally all my fav Durges love to fail these rolls).

And then I spend 20 minutes straight reloading Aunty Ethel's swamp cuz my fucking SORCERER, who has arcana running in his fucking veins, was too fucking stupid to pass an ARCANA check. Repeatedly. Forcing me to reload for 20 fucking minutes. It's a core memory now. He's a dumbass. Semi-affectionately. No actually nvm scratch that hes my arch nemesis. You were such a great idea. I spend hours on Nexus and character creator for your sake. Why must you betray me like so.

His run has been benched ever since cuz I'm simply not over it. I'm just dreading him atp. He's a menace. I'm scared of this happening again. Don't mess with my head like that. I have your story planned out. Why do you choose to fuck it up. What else would you fuck up if I let you? Why are you like this? Bad RNG is one thing but brother you're CURSED.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's had that happen. Tell me there's more horror Tavs/Durges who decided well imma develop a mind of my fucking own. Or get cursed by some omnipotent being.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo - Such an adorable kdrama. While I don't think it's the BEST representation of autism for the Korean audience, I do think it's a fairly good step in the right direction! I rlly like how Woo solves each case with a creative way, which is my primary reason as of why I enjoy the show. But I think it's also worth mentioning the impact it has on Korean society. As a Korean person who often spends a lot of time on Korean media, I've read, heard, and watched stories about how EAW actually has increased prejudice against autistic ppl in some ways. The drama promotes the misconception that an autistic person must be good/genius at something, and when such a misconception is corrected by an autistic person or a person who cares for an autistic person, ppl get disappointed. Many Korean primary/secondary school students have also pointed out how their friends have started using 'Woo Young Woo' as a mocking nickname for ppl who may not necessarily fit in with the crowd, autistic or not. The drama has also encouraged young ppl to act like the autistic protagonist, which often turns into a display of mockery against autistic ppl. Although the drama does break the stereotype that autistic ppl are intellectually/emotionally inferior to neurotypical ppl, it also indirectly encourages ppl to exotify and, to a certain extent, fetishize autistic ppl. That being said I think that EAW does have great potential for future kdramas to include more positive, nuanced, and accurate representation of autism.

Objective opinions on compaignions

Astarion: my baby girl. I apperciate that hes not so much evil as he is selfish with a funny personality.

Karlach: my homeboy my soilder. Karlach is so sweet i love her restless nature amd zest for life. I am both happy they made the slave woman not black and sad they made her not black to humanize her a bit more to players (based on players interactions with her but also how weak these mortals are i would never. Bask in black or kill yourself.)

Wyll: hes sweet, i only wish they had made him more morally gray/ sympathetic to monsters n demoms the likes. Like im glade the literal slave was made not black but watching Mizora yeek his chaim gave me such a fucking ick. I would have preffered the two had more complex relationship, perhaps one that soured over the years or something.

Gale: hes just like me for real but if i was smart. I have real feelings for astarion cuz i am lonely but i have real feelings for gale cuz his arc speaks to me. I cannot meaningfully convey how i feel about him without overdharing.

Lae'zel: i just think shes neat. I like how grumpy she is she has fun interactioms with other characters. I domt like the player/lae'zel options ive come across. She is so were getting there tho

Shadowheart: Shart is so stupid how could a game based on DnD of all things put a character in a cult thats evil and then make her a catholic crusader. I have not played dnd before so i thought shar vs selune was like, two rival gods of the same coin, shar worship is looked down upon socially but is really just as valid. No thays not how it is!!! Tbh shes really annoying as a Sharran so i dont mind her abadoning it but i really thought there would be like an epic #notallsharrans with Kethric vs Shart. Also shes mean to Lae'zel and Lae'zel has ugly privelage so i dislike her more. I knownits shallow to dislike a character for how baf their story is but in my defense, thats where the character is. I domt hate her or anything i just cant care about her by herself i only care about her for the nightsong boons and the whatnot.

Halsin: I kinds hate dnds take on druids since it relys on seperating humanity from nature on such a fundamental degree that Gale didnt even treat my druid as a caster, which confuses me. I guess im lile a warlock/paladin mix but my source is. Grass? I mean like technically ots the moon but theres a moon god and i dont do anyrhing with her, which COULD MAYBE be intresting as a oh there are multiple cultures but why do i have to not be am intergrated memeber of soceity to be a furry. Like druids are a whole seperate culture that honestly.... feels like an irl cult like these are such toxic power dymamics n the insularism is insane and poisonous even without the shadowdruids.
