HOW TO FIX WINDOWS 10 PHOTO TILE SHOWING DELETED PHOTOS?

Live Tiles are the sometimes-rotating squares, representing links for starting programs in Windows 10. Live Tiles also display frequently updated information, like in weather applications. Also, it allows users to customize their PC and provide it a personal touch. But numerous users are reporting that even after removing specific photos, they still show in the Windows 10 live tile. If you are also suffering from the exact issue, then here are a few directions mentioned below.

Remove Cached Photos from Live Tile

To remove cached Photos from live tile, pursue these on-screen steps given below:

Keep in mind that you have removed the affected pictures through the PC to erase them through the Recycle bin.

Then launch the File Explorer screen and reach the pursuing locations: C:\Users\youruserame\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowsphotos

You should select the tab of View in the menu then modify the Layout to Large icons.

Now, you can view each cached picture. Find the photos that are showing inside the Live Tiles.

Thereafter, remove both the ‘SmallTile’ and ‘LargeTile’ for the troubling photos.

In case you don’t view any pictures in that location, reach the ‘LocalState\PhotAppTile’ into the exact folder and remove whether any of the pictures you don’t want is situated here.

Later, shut the File Explorer screen.

Go to the Windows icon and click on it.

Once open the menu, select the ‘Photos App Tile’ and right-click on it, then choose the More option.

You should select the ‘Turn Live Tile Off’ option.

Once again, select the ‘Photos App Tile’ option.

Then click on the More option.

Later, select the ‘Turn Live Tile On’ option.

Finally, reboot the PC, and then removed pictures will not show on the Photos App Live Tile on Windows 10.

Reinstall the Photos Application

To reinstall the Photos application, pursue these on-screen steps given below:

Firstly, press the Windows icon to invoke the Search bar.

Then type ‘Windows PowerShell (Admin)’ into it and hit the Enter button.

You should reach the PowerShell screen and input the pursuing command, then hit the Enter key: Get-AppxPackage *photo* | Remove-AppxPackage

Now, the PowerShell will display a ‘Deployment operation progress’ text temporarily. The application is uninstalled properly once disappear the message.

You should attempt to launch the Photos application to confirm it’s uninstalled.

Later, launch the ‘Windows Store’ application and browse for the MS Photos application.

Finally, install the application, and the Live Tile issue should be fixed.

Unpin and Pin the Tile Again

To unpin and pin the Tile again, pursue these on-screen steps given below:

At first, hit the Windows icon to invoke the menu.

Go to ‘Photos App Live Tile’ then click on the ‘Unpin from Start.’

You should browse for the Photos application.

Once you get it, right-click on it, then choose the ‘Pin to Start’ option.

Now, check whether the application still displays the old images.

Let's go through a few of the most popular so you can see why this matters to you, what your choices are, and how to match the tile you purchased to the adhesive needed.

Large Format Tile

“When planning your tile installation you need to know more than what color, you also need to know what size tile you're going to use to help determine the best products to use to make your job last.”

Large Format Tile or Stone

Do you plan on using tiles larger than the normal 1 foot by 1 foot square? Are your tiles heavy stone? If you answered yes, then you will need special adhesive/mortar. Below is a list of mortar that you should use for the life of your project.

Mapei Ultraflex LFT - Designed for Large Format Tile

If you have big tile or large stone, they need LFT mortar. Ultraflex LFT is a premium, nonsag, large-and-heavy-tile mortar and thin-set mortar designed for large-format and heavy tile and stone for interior/exterior floor, wall and countertop installations. This mortar has a high content of the unique dry polymer, resulting in excellent adhesion to the substrate and tile. It is formulated with Easy Glide Technology™ for ease of application.

Mapei Ultraflor

Mapei Ultraflor is a medium-bed, polymer-modified mortar for interior and exterior setting of large-format tile, including heavy-ribbed-back tile, brick pavers, dimensional tile, and natural stone tile. Ultraflor is designed for use at 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) thickness to give better support under the large-format tile.

Mapei Large Tile & Stone Mortar

Mapei Large Tile & Stone Mortar is a premium, regular-setting, polymer-enriched (“modified”) large-and-heavy-tile-mortar that is ideal for installing large-format tile and stone on floors, walls, and countertops. This mortar can also be used in thin-set applications to install smaller-format tile over a diverse range of substrates.

Rapid Set Tile - You need the job done fast because you open in the morning, no problem, rapid set mortar is a great way to shorten the wait time from tile setting to grouting.

Rapid Set

Sometimes you get into a situation where you need things done faster than normal. YOU CAN! Businesses and homeowners sometimes have a small time window that means they need to speed things up. If that happens, you can use a mortar that will set up much faster than normal which means you get to the grouting stage hours faster than using traditional mortar. Below is a list of the mortar used for fast set up.

*Note - if you use a fast setting mortar, you also need to work much faster. We recommend dry laying the tile first, so you can place it in time, or else the mortar will set up before you are ready and no one wants to deal with that.

Ultraflex RS - Designed for Setting up Fast

Ultraflex RS is a premium-grade, single-component, high-performance, polymer-modified, rapid-setting thin-set mortar for interior and exterior installations of tile. This mortar has a high content of the unique dry polymer, resulting in excellent adhesion to the substrate and tile. Ultraflex RS is a FastTrack Ready™ product, allowing grouting in 2 to 3 hours. It can be used for both interior and exterior installations of tile in most residential floor and wall applications. In commercial applications, use on interior floor and wall installations and exterior floors. Ultraflex RS meets or exceeds ANSI A118.4F, ANSI A118.11 and ANSI A118.15F requirements for fast-setting mortars when mixed with water.
