It's one sign of how good Mimi Cave’s FRESH (2022) is that there’s a major plot development you can see coming a mile away, and yet it’s still satisfying and almost delightful, which is a strange word to use in a film about cannibalism. Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is a young entrepreneur tired of the on-line dating scene. So, when a charming, hot guy (Sebastian Stan) flirts with her at a supermarket, she gives him her number. They seem a perfect match until he drugs her, and she finds out he’s got his own business supplying meat to wealthy cannibals. Lauryn Kahn’s script is scrupulously plotted, and Cave takes advantage of her set ups well. Early on, Stan has a dead-behind-the-eyes moment that cues you in that he’s not the dream date he appears to be. The plot also allows for some powerful and even humorous commentary on sexism. It’s not just that women are used as commodities. Stan’s character seems determined to make Noa a willing participant. There are places where Cave’s directing gets a little self-conscious — too many artsy closeups of body parts during conversations. And the film could be about 15 minutes shorter. But Edgar-Jones is very good in the leading role. Jojo T. Gibbs makes Edgar-Jones’ sassy black friend more than just a plot device, and Brett Dier is funny at the start as an on-line hookup who seems to be opening up new frontiers in douchiness.

Rihanna was sued by a father and daughter duo for allegedly using their music without permission for a Fenty ad. King Kahn and his daughter Saba Lou claim that they created and own the music and lyrics to the song "Good Habits (and Bad)" which showed up in Rihanna's post.

After the ad reportedly received 3.4 million views, the father-daughter duo sued in 2020. This wasn't the first time that Rihanna and her team were accused of stealing when it comes to her Fenty brand. Selah Marley, daughter of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley, accused Rihanna of stealing her creative concept for her Savage X Fenty fashion show saying,

"As a young, independent, black female artist, I genuinely feel robbed. I'm not signed to any label...I don't have any investors. I just have myself and the people who support me. It took a lot to put together and to see it replicated almost exactly with no mention of my name or the work I previously put in is just ridiculous."

Rihanna was also the subject of a lawsuit involving her company Savage X Fenty frauding customers.

I MIGHT GET BACKLASH FOR THIS but i can still have nuanced opinions on Fresh (2022), on how it's a commentary on how women are treated by society, be a feminist, etc.; and still be a wacko who want to f*ck slashers, Steve Kemp included! it's fictional, besties! some of y'all have never seen the Hannibal Lecter films or the show, obviously.
