im so unserious ab my kotlc ships. w/ every other fandom im there piecing together bits of canon to prove there was something real. but with kotlc is like. sure. anything goes. those 2 personalities sound fun together, who cares if they haven't had a solid interaction in 3 books.

- tritons whole arc with being angry at Ariel and learning to accept her is very very fitting for Alden like guys it’s honestly perfect

- this whole conflict Ariel had with leaving the sea is parallels how restrictive the lost cities views are like the whole bad match thing

-I HAVE ONE ISSUE THO I REALLY DONT KNOW WHO URSULA WOULD BE

But for this I will need a very detailed summary of what we canonically know about Marella, her life and the evolution of her place in the series, principally her role and actions in Stellarlune.

And I don’t remember how Fitz’ place evolved after Sokeefe’s happening. So I need summaries on that to

Hey, does Marella X Fitz make either or both of them OOC? Or can it work with them in character? Or is the fandom just the ones doing it OOC?

I don't think it's out of the question! I mean, Marella literally says Fitz is dreamy. I think where it gets complicated is once again running up against unmatchability, since Marella is a Pyrokinetic. But Fitz finds power attractive, so who's to say he couldn't ever be attracted to Marella?

I suspect a lot of the reason people are reacting so strongly against it is that they're hopeful for Marellinh being canon. It's one of the most popular fandom ships, and it's also probably the most likely gay ship to go canon. So that's going to raise hackles. But as long as you're being respectful, go crazy!
