Sometimes we get busy and usually if you are like me your day can go from simple to hectic ☣️ in minutes. Fortunately, I have discovered an amazing new tool that has helped me declutter 📥 the chaos that comes in today’s digital world 🌍. Recently, I have been going through a course and got some insightful mentorship from Dean Grasiozi. Now this can work in any area of your life. I will share two things that resonated with me. First thing, you don’t have to feel like it to do it; a great example of this is working out. Dean shared that it’s important to focus 🔎 on the benefits instead of the 😥 work that needs to be done! How powerful is that? Boom💥, when you focus on the benefits the work never seems that intense. Now if you go back to the workout example, think 🤔 about how amazing you feel after your workout 🏋️‍♀️. Another amazing insight I got has been that my ability to become efficient is easier than I realize and so is yours. Most people will tell you to create to do list 📋. What if I told you more important than a to do list is a not 🚫 to do list 📝. Begin today by creating a not to do list. Identify the things you are currently doing that don’t serve 🙄 you. Here are a few that come to mind: watching tv 📺, surfing the internet 👩🏾‍💻, sleeping in 🛌, scrolling through Facebook for hours on end. There are also a few things you may be doing that you can outsources like washing the car🚗 and cutting the grass 🏡. Most people don’t think like this, but as an entrepreneur what is your time worth 💵? If you were to charge someone for an hour of your time, this can be training, teaching coaching, or any service what would that time be worth 💰? Now think about how much you could pay someone to cut the grass 🚜. Lets take it a step further, if you think about the amount of time ⏱ it takes to cut the grass and how much you charge for the same amount of time 🤔. As you continue to get better remember 💭 that the things you do should stem from the following: What legacy you will leave 🤔? How you make others feel 🥰? How many people you were able to serve 🙇🏽‍♂️? Here are five lessons I learned while talking with my spouse about the importance of teamwork 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦. My wife reminded 😅 me that in order to achieve the outcome we desire we not only need to know what we want to accomplish, we also need to model it 😲! The question is, do you have an effective strategy 😬? Let’s take cutting the grass for example. I could just tell my kids to cut the grass, but if I want them to do an amazing 😉 job consistently while still being effective as a family I need to also model 🙋‍♂️ teamwork. I want to show them what right looks like. Telling 🗣 someone let’s do this together 🤝 is more inspiring than saying go accomplish this task. While you are all cutting the grass, it's important that you continue to teach 🤓 how the grass should be cut 🚜, watered 💦, feed and nurtured while also providing opportunities for questions. At this point you have a phenomenal opportunity to explain the importance 😉 as to why it should be done that way. Once you have done that, it’s essential that you continuously monitor 👀 their progress, help them long the way by providing them positive encouragement 🤗 to reinforce excellent steps. This would be a great time to ask them questions in order to affirm that they understand why it’s important to do things correctly 🤯. Now you can transition to one of my favorite steps which is motivating 😁 them to make it their own. Once they have learned to do the job well, they may find something they would like to do to make it better 😉. This is where you encourage them to do this and learn from them 🥋. Lastly, this is my favorite step where they know how to do the task extremely well and can start teaching someone else to do it 😍; this is the law of multiplication 😎. The best way to learn something is to teach it. Once you start applying these principals to the things you do in life you will see amazing results 👊. Every day we have the opportunity to navigate and steer our own ship🛳. Let's get real, sometimes things won’t turn out the way we expect them too 🤷🏽‍♂️. This my friends is a part of life; however, the way we respond to the situation determines who we become. Here are some instances, you tried getting a house 🏠 you wanted and it didn't work out. What about a car 🚘 you wanted but it slipped through your hands? Maybe none of those examples resonate with you. I know I have been in many situations where I didn't get something I wanted, like the elusive promotion, maybe even an award 🏆, haha or a pair of exclusive shoes 👟. Look at the Titanic 🚢, everything was going well and all of a sudden an iceberg ❄️. If you think back and remember what happened in the movie 🎥 the ship didn’t sink because of the water 🌊 around it, the ship sunk because of the water that got into it 💦. Disappointments 🙁 are going to happen. So, don’t let what happens around you get inside of you and weigh you down 😢. As one of my mentors would say, “Your shoulders look real heavy 😔.” This is because you look like you’re carrying the weight of the world 🌍.
