Dear Gus & Magnus,
At home when I ask Gus if he's liking the Museum of Discovery's Science Sampler Camp this week, he gives me mixed signals and I can't handle it because if he's not enjoying it, we won't sign him up next time. Luckily, the Museum posted photos like this one to the shared folder today and I can easily tell how happy he is. I know that smile and what it takes to earn it.
Dad.

**Why Swift Nature Camp is the Perfect Choice for Your Child**
Sending your child to overnight camp is a big decision, and at Swift Nature Camp (SNC), we understand that. For over 30 years, our directors have dedicated their lives to creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for kids who are curious, compassionate, and eager to explore the world around them.
Tumblr media
Here's why parents trust SNC:
Designed for First-Time Campers We know that attending camp for the first time can feel daunting. That's why we've developed a special **First-Time Camper Program** to help your child adjust comfortably. From small cabin groups to highly trained staff, every aspect of our program is tailored to ensure a smooth transition into camp life. Your child will feel supported, encouraged, and ready to embrace the adventure.
A Focus on Nature, Science, and Curiosity Unlike traditional camps, SNC is uniquely dedicated to children who love exploring nature and science. With hands-on environmental education and activities like animal care, eco-discovery, and science experiments, we inspire kids to learn about the natural world while having a blast. These experiences ignite curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Tumblr media
A Safe, Warm, and Supportive Community Our 80-acre site in northern Wisconsin offers a pristine natural setting with a private lake, lush forests, and cozy cabins. SNC fosters a culture of kindness, respect, and friendship. Campers often describe their time here as life-changing, gaining confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships.
Experienced and Caring Leadership With decades of experience, our directors know what it takes to create a magical camp experience. They are present on-site every day, ensuring the highest standards of safety, fun, and learning.
Tumblr media
Activities to Inspire Every Camper From canoeing and archery to LEGO building and drama, there's something for every child at SNC. Whether your child is an adventurer, a budding scientist, or a creative spirit, they'll find their niche in our small family.
Phone Free At Swift Nature Camp, we embrace the joy of being unplugged--no phones means more time for friendships, adventure, and connecting with nature!
We're Here to Help Still have questions? We'd love to talk with you about how SNC can be the right fit for your child. When the time comes, we'll be here to welcome your family into ours.
Let your child discover, grow, and thrive at Swift Nature Camp--where nature, friendship, and fun come together in unforgettable ways.

Headcanons I've been cooking;
-the paradise theater doing a mystery science theater 3000 bit most days (I'm like 90% sure that its basically the equivalent in their multiverse anyway, oops)
-frank and clementine still tries to keep contact and make visits if even possible anymore. June likes to receive letters and postcards as a loose penpal relationship as proof of their "mad lib situation"
-I feel robbed that June and Ava didn't interact much, they'd have so much fun and nobody would be able to handle these bar buds. Never mind theres probably a reason why these two aren't allowed in a bar together, but I love their raw chaos and hijinks would definitely go on
-Gloria makes the storage closet her room at first but when Caspar gets back, he gives her the main office since she's da b0ss now, she still spends a lot of time camping with her bts wolves making stew for them, its her own therapy
-Leif putting together a game console for the gang when theyre bored, Caspar is the best at retro games surprisingly aside from the fact hes been asking for a pinball machine forever, everyone cracks old man jokes. Mostly David and Ava, his biggest hecklers <3
-eventually they begin to cultivate a small arcade, leif fixes up a few machines for the diner (its free) kids across the cosmos go 'you mean you have to play the game with your hands?? Its like a baby's toy :/" caspar is flabbergasted, Leif just shrugs and goes "i warned you bro" and does more Leif shit
-David plays cod on their designated staff console in the office space in their down time between shifts. Feet kicked up and the lazy fan blowing, do you see my vision? this is the most important highlight so far
-David used to stream sometimes on earth in LA for funsies now and then during lockdown when he wasnt up for running out at night vandalizing the blank canvas known as the streets
-he still talks to his mom and plays catch up even from space despite the time it takes to send messages. David continues to find her drunk calls entertaining (canon anyway) Caspar doesn't really drink alcohol and is worried about the loss of control, I think hes just anxious and insecure about it.
*I don't really think caspar was much of a dick when he drank raising david, he probably was a rambling annoying dad with a shitty attitude that was hard to tolerate. like, okay, old man, we get it the world sucksss stop being so sad and let's play legos and not roleplay the state of the economic decline about it (shh, I'm not projecting gay son and drunk well meaning dad dynamics)
-Ava peer pressures Caspar *only* for celebrations anyway
-micheladas for everyone the next day, some sweet hair of the dog when the various drank theyre able to get their hands on is too much to cope with the next day if they still even have moonshine to spare left
-Leif stocks up on so much fucking hash whilst in Pasadena (as one does stuck in shitty corners of California for hangovers, generalized depression, and dread. hence all the alcohol mentions I'm not promoting alcoholic diner dwellers I swear-) which tbh parallels the way Ava stocks up nicotine from ye old moonshiner imo
Idk I have more I might add and tack on later I love these doofuses

The Future of Learning: New Latest Franchise Opportunities You Can Invest in Today
In an era where education is rapidly evolving to meet digital demands, global competitiveness, and a skill-driven economy, investing in the latest franchise opportunities within the education sector presents a lucrative and impactful business avenue. Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur, a seasoned investor, or a passionate educator, education franchises offer a powerful blend of purpose and profit.
In this article, we explore the future of learning and introduce new education franchise opportunities that are redefining how students learn and how business owners succeed.
The Rise of Educational Franchises: Why Now?
The global education market is expected to reach $10 trillion by 2030, fueled by demand for lifelong learning, tech-integrated classrooms, and personalized student experiences. From K–12 tutoring to professional upskilling and AI-integrated training, education franchises are more relevant than ever.
Several factors are contributing to this surge in educational franchises:
Digital transformation in learning environments.
Government incentives and reforms such as India’s NEP 2020.
Growing demand for personalized and practical education.
Increased parental spending on supplementary education.
The shift toward entrepreneurship in smaller towns and cities.
What Makes Education Franchises a Smart Investment?
Franchises offer a tested model, strong branding, and operational support, reducing risk and increasing scalability. In the education domain, this advantage is amplified by:
Low startup costs in comparison to other industries.
A vast target market spanning toddlers to working professionals.
Opportunities to leverage technology-driven learning platforms.
A strong emotional quotient — helping students grow and succeed.
Exploring the Latest Franchise Opportunities in Education (2025 Edition)
Let’s break down some of the most promising education franchise models that are reshaping the future of learning.
1. EdTech & AI-Powered Learning Centers
EdTech franchises are booming in 2025, thanks to advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and personalized learning engines. These centers use AI to:
Assess learning patterns.
Customize lesson plans.
Improve student retention and performance.
Top Niches:
Adaptive test prep (JEE, NEET, SAT, IELTS).
AI-based tutoring for school students.
Skill development through interactive simulations.
Why invest: AI-enhanced education improves outcomes and offers scalable solutions across geographies.
2. Coding & Robotics for Kids
The demand for STEM education has skyrocketed. Parents want their kids to be creators, not just consumers of technology. Franchises offering coding, robotics, and app development for children are witnessing explosive growth.
Popular modules include:
Python and Java for kids.
Robotics with Arduino or LEGO kits.
Game design and mobile app development.
Why invest: Low operational costs, huge market (ages 6–16), and high parental involvement ensure strong ROI.
3. Online-Offline Hybrid Tutoring Centers
Post-pandemic, the hybrid model has become the new normal. Franchises offering a mix of in-person and virtual classes for K–12 and competitive exams are thriving. They blend flexibility with the personal touch of traditional tutoring.
Trending subjects:
Math and science tutoring.
English and soft-skills training.
Olympiad and coding boot camps.
Why invest: This model offers scalability and resilience against disruptions (like school closures or lockdowns).
4. Skill-Based & Career Development Institutes
With the changing job landscape, students and professionals are flocking to skill-based training franchises. These institutions provide practical education in:
Data Science, AI, and Cybersecurity.
Digital marketing, content creation, and UX design.
Business analytics and project management.
Why invest: Aligns with NEP 2020’s emphasis on vocational learning and appeals to both students and working professionals.
5. Language Learning & Public Speaking Institutes
English proficiency, foreign language learning, and communication skills continue to be in high demand — especially in metro cities and Tier-2 towns. Franchises focused on language training offer:
IELTS & TOEFL preparation.
Spoken English and public speaking.
French, German, Spanish, and Mandarin training.
Why invest: Low overhead costs and high repeat business from corporate clients and individuals alike.
6. Preschool & Early Childhood Education Franchises
The preschool sector remains a dominant player in education franchising. What’s new in 2025 is the integration of Montessori + Digital + Experiential learning. Many preschools are now including:
Smart classrooms.
Sensory and skill-based learning kits.
Parent-teacher digital dashboards.
Why invest: Stable revenue model, predictable intake cycles, and emotionally rewarding business.
7. Upskilling & Executive Education Franchises
For mid-career professionals and corporate learners, upskilling is no longer optional. Franchises offering executive courses in leadership, data analytics, and industry-specific skills are on the rise.
Top categories:
Corporate training partnerships.
Executive MBAs or certificate courses.
Personalized career coaching.
Why invest: Premium pricing, professional clientele, and large institutional contracts.
What to Look for Before Investing in an Education Franchise?
Before jumping in, here are key criteria to consider when evaluating the latest franchise opportunities in the education sector:
Brand reputation and track record.
Support system for franchisees (tech, training, marketing).
Market demand for the offered courses or services.
Initial investment vs. potential ROI.
Scalability across geographies or age groups.
Tip: Go for franchises that align with future-proof learning models such as blended learning, AI integration, and skill development.
Latest Franchise Opportunities in Tier-2 & Tier-3 Cities
While metros are saturated, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities offer fresh demand with less competition. Education franchises that succeed in these regions usually focus on:
Affordable pricing models.
Local-language or bilingual teaching options.
Hybrid content delivery (offline + online).
Pro tip: Partner with a brand that supports regional customization of content and has a mobile-first platform.
Case Study: A Real-World Success
One such success story comes from an upskilling franchise that launched centers across India under a globally certified curriculum in AI and data science. Backed by strong placement partnerships and a blended learning format, the franchise expanded to over 40 cities within two years—offering both affordability and employability.
Final Thoughts: The Time to Invest in Education Is Now
The latest franchise opportunities in the education sector are not just about capitalizing on trends — they’re about transforming lives. Education is one of the few domains where business success aligns seamlessly with societal good.
With AI-powered classrooms, demand for lifelong learning, and the rise of skill-based models, the future of education is agile, digital, and learner-centric. Whether you aim to serve kids, college students, or corporate professionals, there's a franchise opportunity waiting for your vision and leadership.
As we head deeper into 2025, the question isn’t whether to invest in education — it’s which education franchise is the right fit for your goals.

Fun fact: astrium's favorite superhero is Superman
Relationships:
Verita R. Theirenmana — close friend (i am not your "close friend", I am inspecting you for research. Interesting way to say you're my best friend, verita! I'm serious. There's no way a regular human or a so-called "chosen one" can do whatever it is you're doing. Uh- I told you verita, i-i'm just really good at magic! That's all! Huh.)
Marcel M. Cassidy — friend (visha, how did you survive that explosion during biology? I told you, Marcel, I'm the super awesome chosen one and the prophecy gave me cool powers! But it doesn't explain how once, during class I saw you speak to the tiny creature and— you were asking about "how their brother was doing"- Uhh- YOU MUST BE SEEING THINGS!!!)
Reva Theirenmana — friend/acquaintance (HIII!!! I heard you were FRIENDS with my BESTEST SISTER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD VERITA!?!?!??!?! 🎉🎉🎉 Uh- Yeah! We're pretty close, actually! Ohh, I remember now! You were the not-really-a-human guy she was making elaborate theories in her room about!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Uhh- *nervous laugh* don't take her seriously about the human stuff! I-it's totally some crazy inside joke that she's not planning to tell anyone else!! Hahaha...)
Dorothy E. Theirenmana — friend/acquaintance (Miss chosen one, are you interested in the stars? U-uhmm, you can just call me visha or astrium... plus, what makes you ask THAT question??! I sorta got the impression she might be a little stuck on you, y'know? She always reads about the hobbies someone has when she fancies them. And also- I-i'm sure it's juuust... A new interest she has picked up!! ehehe...)
Sayaka Kurayami — Friend (your dreams aren't prophetic, right? Heh, I'd expect the "chosen one's" dreams to be full of scaaaaary visions where you'd see people in MyStErIoUs black robes cackling over an Eeeevil plan. Uhh, yeah, but if they WERE prophetic it'd be a repeat of the camp myenethían fiasco except *I* was the person accidentally holding the murderous dream orb- the WHAT dream orb?! Y-you definitely heard nothing!)
Valerie Rosewood — friend (so, how are you using the power of friendship to get outta this one? Power of friendship? Uhhmm... I'm just going to vaporize them, I guess... YOU'RE GOING TO VAPORIZE THE BAD GUYS?! (Wait- that wasn't normal?) i-it's uh- it's just my gift for magic!!! I'm the chosen one, they can't kill me YET! Man, This "chosen one" stuff is making you really OP...)
Hesperia — technically cousin and sworn rival (okay so- LISTEN HERE. I. AM. NOT. JOINING. YOUR SILLY ADVENTURES! But couldn't it be possible if you could travel a FEW inches out of bounds??!)
Melian Cassidy — Enemy (soo, we're just like, the coolest kids here aren't we? Uh- yeah! We have sooooo many things in common, like being... *short like really really short pause you wouldn't even notice it's one* ...being very fast and agile, obviously! Yeah! YOU get me. We're even sooo incredibly powerful, right? Exactly, and we're gonna use this power for— (said at the same time) saving the world with the power of friendship! / Beating up people who are out of our league! Yeah! Wait, WHAT? / Yeah! Wait, WHAT?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Personality: if rainbow dash discovered David Bowie and the rest of classic rock, then this is probably what you'd get: Confident, dense, and extremely reckless; Visha is perhaps the bravest student in the Magic Academy™— if not for the fact that he's immortal, and is often dare-devil-ish with revealing her identity.
Despite his confident and flashy nature, (which is how she gets into trouble if not for the fact that I cover for him wh- verita, this is MY personality description! Get back to your own character card! *Sigh* whatever.) he still cares for her friends.
Backstory:
(I'm too lazy to put an ACTUALLY good explanation here so I'll just explain the gist ps remember some stuff are still wip)
(Astraea dies, Astrium is born from her dead core)
(Astrium doesn't understand why everyone is "so sad all the time" and CLEARLY not calling her by his actual name)
(other stars try their very best (keyword: try) to not have astrium turn out like astraea cuz astraea was "defective")
(astrium turns out like astraea anyway after learning more about humans)
(astrium develops an interest in humans and other alien species, much to the dismay of the other stars)
(and did I mention the other stars in astrium's constellation (constellations basically like family) are royalty? Astrium sneaks out and makes friends and goes on adventures when her family goes for meetings on other planets)
(one day, when astrium is preparing to go to star school equivalent he goes outside of his room with all his stuff...)
(...but instead of walking out into the hallway, everything BUT her room was bathed in pure white light, nearly blinding...)
(...curious, if this was some revenge prank trick, she walks out of the room expecting everything to be normal, for the light to fade away...)
(...and fell! Turns out the more mischievous stars in the constellation sent him out in the middle of nowhere galaxy to fall directly into earth because "if he liked them so much why doesn't he just join them?")
(so anyways astrium falls straight into earth and sneaks into a nearby town, and makes a disguise)
(Astrium meets marcel, a son of a farmer that gets pushed around by his horrible brother, melian, in said town and gives herself a cool nickname, visha, after figuring out the meaning because he wanted to look more cool)
(said town gets invaded by Evil Shadow Creatures Of Darkness™ and visha defeats them with his star powers and saves 3 magical children, Verita, Dorothy, and Reva)
(astrium, marcel, and melian gets found by Witches And Wizards who tell them visha is The Chosen Hero Of The Prophecy™, what a surprisee, visha goes along with it until...)
(...the magical person tells them that The Prophecy states that the Chosen One™ must be a human, from a seemingly poor town. According to what the magical people know, visha apparently fits all the criteria. She doesn't, but can't tell the magical people they were wrong yet because he had only been here for like, an hour or so)
(according to the magical people, marcel and melian are wizards too, and they have to attend the Magic School™ so they can fight the Dark Lord™-)
(but wait, visha remembered that from the human studies books, humans live for about 90+ years and more... And 11 year olds are children, immature children,)
(so that means they were forcing ELEVEN YEAR OLDS to defeat dark lords? Isn't that too young? Visha is technically somewhat young in star years, but what would a powerless eleven year old do against like, a really powerful Dark Lord™?)
(so visha continues the "totally human hahaha" act with his limited knowledge of the human world...)
(after a few days, visha goes on the Magic Train™ to go to magic school and meets one of the children he saved earlier, verita. He also gets along with another girl named sayaka which the older magical people they met earlier told them not to befriend with someone like sayaka BUT VISHA BEFRIENDED HER ANYWAY)
(visha and her new friends arrive at Magic School™, visha remembers to carry his old stuff which includes astraea's journal with her)
(visha learns about the 7 Guardians Of Hope And Peace™ who were the ones that chose the Chosen One™)
(these Creatures Of Darkness™ seem strangely familiar...)
(visha puts two and two together and realises OH SHIT THERE AREN'T JUST CREATURES OF DARKNESS THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT STARS)
(whoops so now there's ANOTHER reason visha has to hide his identity from the others)
(and if you compare astraea's journal to the history of the 7 Guardians Of Hope And Peace™... YIKES.)
(also the magical system in general is really weird and messed up from what it was before and they're teaching kids some Really Bad Lessons so now we have to defeat the 7 Guardians Of Hope And Peace™ which are actually embodiments for the 7 deadly sins and capitalism oops)
(HOW IS VISHA GOING TO GET OUT OF THIS ONE? FIND OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!)

I think about you and who you would be right now. If you had been born. If you were ever more than an egg. You would be 7 and a half. You would be about to go into the 2nd grade. You would be my son. You wouldn’t know anything about the “sperm donor” of a dad who hurt me. I would just tell you that you are mine and that’s all that matters. I would love you so much.
We would spend so much time together in the summer but I would make sure you went to different summer camps too for all of your interests. You would spend lots of time outside, playing with the kids in the neighborhood. We would go to the pool and the beach all the time. We could ride our bikes to get ice cream and to the park. We would go camping and hiking and fishing. We would reach so so many books from the library. We would go to the farmers market every weekend. We would play Pokemon together. I would teach you all sorts of card games and board games. We would have campfires in the backyard and make s’mores. We would go to baseball games together. You could play soccer or baseball or whatever sports you wanted to. We would build legos and do science experiments and make crafts. I would take you with me to practice and my team would love you.
My life would be more organized because I would want to do that for you. I think I would be more motivated to take care of myself because I needed to be a good role model for you. I would have more reason to take good care of my physical and mental health because I need to be good to take care of you. I would have better money habits because I would have to take care of you. My life wouldn’t be so concerned with myself as it would be about you and that would be a great thing, I think.
In hard times I daydream about you, about who you would have become and how my life would be with you. If you ever were more than an egg. Who knows, I sure don’t.
