FINALLY i have ALL these drawn up.... umm anyways heres designs for a prohibitedwish-centric au where prismo(& "friends") work at/run a roller rink, aka the Time Room, & scarab is an auditor suspicious of how the place even stays open and is obsessed with shutting it down<3 more rambling abt it under the readmore

ok. so basically:

starts in the 70s when the Time Room is doing alright, popularity-wise and financially. it contains an arcade room with a prize counter, a snack bar, a back office, restrooms Obviously and of course, the rink, for skatin'. here there are many events to be seen: parties for holidays, rollerblading contests, birthdays, etc etc...

in this time, pretty early on in the 70s actually, prismo meets Jake(not yet designed 4 the au but i'll get 2 him), who ends up being pretty much his best friend, and stirring up feelings prismo doesnt quite understand himself.... scarab, is assigned to do an audit on the Time Room and notices a name he recognizes, unfortunately. of course, it's prismo, there HAS to be something fishy going on here. so instead of doing his job like normal, how he should, scarab disguises himself and snoops around the rink himself for evidence of anything suspicious.... and of course, skate. can't go to a rink without skating right? it'd look suspicious. its definitely not because he's taking the opportunity to have fun & hang out in the crowd that'd usually shun him. he's not HERE for fun, you know.

in the background all the while, life & death have a budding romance, a beautiful lil opposites attract story... and lich is. well. lich is there and intimidating, and... friends with life? kind of? he doesnt think theyre friends, just that he doesnt hate Life, and they share music and horror movie recommendations. otherwise he loathes to be perceived

timeskip to the 90s, the Time Room is in a decline. less people show up, it looks run down, and prismo is.... not doing his job. he's busy mourning his best friend, who he only now realizes he loved, and he is NOT coping well. hes more apathetic than he was before, nihilistic one could even say, and even his pal Cosmic Owl doesn't know how to help.

during this time, scarab's also dealing with the consequences of someone passing. namely, his Unnamed, Unseen Sibling, who left behind a girl scarab now has to care for. he has mixed feelings-- he was never close with his family, nor does he like kids, but now he has to figure out how best to care for this child he barely knows, but thinks the world of him, for whatever reason. when scarab goes to the time room to keep investigating, like he's been doing for around 20 YEARS now, he's taking Chrysina with him as he can;t really get a babysitter or anything, nor would he trust one. and well, once he sees the sorry state prismo's in, it doesn't feel as great trying to ruin his life. sure, scarab feels a little vindicated to see the time room so dilapidated and empty, but now this mission just feels like kicking an old dog.

prismo, wallowing in his grief and poor coping skills, takes some sort of interest learning how much scarab despises him. people tend to like prismo, why doesn't this guy? he honestly doesnt even care if the guy finds something to shut the place down at this point, so long as he comes back.

Ever get that feeling when you see time and space itself start forming- and you think everything is so beautiful and amazing- to the point that you want to have a chance to be apart of something gorgeous and new no matter what?

And the desire to be apart of it is so strong that you devour the very essence and existence of your fellow Monsters into yourself, just so you can become powerful enough to go through with a plan to find a loophole to be reincarnated as a mortal just so you can experience life and death?

Does your very name strike terror in those that escaped your feast?

No? Just a Myriaxanthus thing? Okay then.

Anyways this is who Liam was originally, a menace to their fellow monsters with their obsession to consume and accumulate their powers to form a faux soul vessel for their essence.

They were massive enough that they'd be to curl around and cover an entire planet if they wanted to.

Their plan was not to devour a Catalyst Comet, but to copy cat them in a way. After gorging on their fellow kin they merged themselves as energy into the earth's core when the planet was just beginning to form. And promptly went dormant much to many other remaining Primordial Monsters and Cosmic Entities' relief.

That is until humans waged war on each other and unintentionally triggered Myriaxanthus' plan into action.

Their plan worked! The burst of energy they collected throughout the eons forged themself a durable faux soul vessel that they crammed all their energy into and successfully got "reincarnated" by Life!

Sorta. They were kinda along for the ride not really having a say of what their new body could do besides a small piece of themself that gained its own consciousness. It was like joining a game and being stuck in spectator mode. They were happy with the turnout though.

After all they got to see their new "self" experience life! Big whoops on causing a major planetary apocalypse though- that wasn't on their game plan. Unlike many of their kin though, they tried "fixing" Earth right before the soul sealing which led to it doubling in size because they rushed it.

Okay so like, I've been thinking about an Adventure Time teacher AU and why does it work weirdly well???

Here's the current staff list

Finn: Gym coach who's currently also working as a math teacher due to a shortage of staff and the previous one (Billy maybe?) quitting. He's absolute shit at math but he's super excited about it all the time so the students love him anyway.

Jake: At first I was thinking gym coach too, but I feel like he'd be a great counselor honestly. He's constantly advising his brother and I think he'd work well

BMO: The computer teacher! Kinda obvious but yeah

Neptr: Robotics/engineering teacher. Due to the nature of their jobs, BMO and Neptr work pretty closely together. Neptr loves this, BMO not as much.

Princess Bubblegum: The science teacher who is kind of running the place at times, because the principal won't do anything so she's decided to do what she can to keep this place running smoothly.

Marceline: The band director. She is 100% playing pranks on her students all the time. Also whenever the band is practicing she is standing on her band tower with a little umbrella or something for sun protection.

LSP: Drama teacher. Kinda obvious, she's already directed a play in the show so she works well as a drama teacher.

Simon/Ice King: History teacher! I got the idea from my AP world history teacher whose classroom is packed full of artifacts and replicas from different cultures throughout the world. Figured it'd be fitting for Simon

Flame Princess: English teacher. My whole thought proccess was "freestyle rap. Creative. Poetry. English?" and I think it works well. Her dad was the previous English teacher who left to open a chipmunk sanctuary.

Lady Rainicorn: I was thinking either art or Korean, leaning more towards Korean simply because I have another idea for the art teacher.

Jermaine: Art teacher!

Lemongrab: Psychology. This man has such a weird brain that I think it'd be fun to have him teach this. I can imagine him writing office referrals that just say "UNACCEPTABLE" on them

Fern: The new math teacher who shows up halfway through the year and has to deal with all the students complaining about missing Mr. Mertens.

Betty: Another character who shows up sometime later during the year. She'll be our principal, taking over for the previous principal who quit mysteriously.

Prismo: Vice principal, kinda bad at it and doesn't know how he got the job

Scarab: an admin who was hoping for vice principal and was really pissed when Prismo got the job instead of him

Golb: The principal

The lich: Previous vice principal who was fired for unknown reasons. Fired at the same time Billy quit.

Peppermint butler: I can't decide whether I want him as a student or as a secretary or just as someone who works in the office

I think I'll have all the candy citizens as students, as well as probably some minor characters who get a few appearances or only one episode.

This is partially why I originally wanted PB as the principal, but I found it funnier to have her as the teacher who is going insane because Golb will not do shit for the school.

I'm considering turning this whole thing into a fic, possibly focusing on PB? Possibly a bubbline fic? Not sure quite yet, this AU is still very much in development

I know the Prohibitedwish AU, where Scarab was lovers with the Prismo's Sleeping Host and Scarab is trying to get WishMaster Prismo fired so Scarab can have his lover back, isn't actually canon... But if it was, it would explain why Golbetty didn't turn Scarab into a cube, like the Lich... Because she had through what Scarab was going through...

She was once desperate to save her own lover as well...

She understands, better than anyone, about wanting to do whatever it takes to bring your lover and their memories back...

Even if it means sacrificing your very own sanity...

Even if it means other people getting hurt in the process...

Even if you get hurt trying to succeed in this seemingly impossible goal...

Betty can empathize with Scarab. I think Golbetty turning Scarab into tiny bugs is her way of saying, "I get what you're going through, dude. But I can't just let you hurt my man. The world inside his head is free game though."

At least Prismo and Scarab are together again, even if Prismo doesn't truly remember his past with Scarab anymore...

Well, since I'm bored at work, might as well ramble about my F+C AU!

Bear with me because this all come from a dream I had after finishing F+C and my obsession with apocalyptic media.

Fionna and Cake: Rewriting The Apocalypse

What I'm going to be talking about is in the horror category, so a warning is in order:

⚠️ TW: depictions of blood, scarring (including healed s/h), and body horror. Proceed with caution, you have been warned!

Since Scarab said the "bad" will come to this universe, it popped an idea in my think pan.

The Lich's hand fell to every universe, making him a constant. His hand fell down from the Wish Room through space as a catalyst comet, landing in the Fionna and Cake universe (heavily delayed since the universe was so far away from the others).

It melted as it broke through the atmosphere, turning into a green sludge that seeped into the sewer system. This sludge was toxic, and anything that touched it turned insane, thus creating Sewer Bat People. These bat people infected others by blood.

This leads to Gary, Marshall, Fionna, and Cake leaving Aaa City, venturing to the City of New Ooo to find Doctor Bonnibel.

A part of me wants to do something with these: a fanfic with images or a comic? I'm not sure, but the idea was fun to feed into. And it was definitely fun to play with my style and the Adventure Time style.

Okay so I already talked bout the Snow Genie Au, but I GOT THE CHARACTER SHEET DONEEEEE

Okay so, all the characters keep core personalities here. Finn is the Vamp!King (he hates getting called that), Simo is the Time Oracle (instead of wish master), Snow Genie (aka Prismo) is the Ice King, Jake is in Gunther's spot (his dad did this, cause his bio-dad is horrid), Marcy is a sweet yet care-free girl, and Bonnie is still a scientist with questionable morales, Dream Trunks is the Cosmic Owl stand in (if a bad dream with her happens, she leaves a treat somewhere in the affected person's home). Magic Scarab is a little crud who just wants revenge on Prismo (who isn't sane) for causing the apocalypse. And Betty is a God Auditor (she takes care of anyone against Golb).. Oh yeah

Golb is considered the main god now. So the Lich and Billy are also swapped (but Lich is still the last scholar of Golb, since understanding chaos takes a loooooooooootttttttt)

Ok, so here's the AU

During the elementals episodes, Finn and Jake decide to go see prismo.

(the whole thing with the lich killing prismo didn't happen)

Once there, they tell him about what's going on. However- some of the candy element got in, and infected prismo. Finn and Jake leave, promising to come back when there's a cure, this creating Pinkmo.

Scarab stops by for a visit, and see's prismo's state. He then decides to try and find a cure, although it takes a while, with difficult obstacles - (Pinkmo being the main one.)

(scarabs tough shell and spikes make it difficult to turn him into candy.)

Finn and Jake come back several days later, with LSP's cure.

Scarab and the two work on it, and give it to pinkmo.

And voila.

In the Prohibitedwish AU where Scarab and 'Original Prismo' were boyfriends... Considering that Simon tried to empathize with THE LICH of all people... I think Simon would also have empathy for Scarab, if he learns the true reason why Scarab wants to get rid of 'Dream Prismo' + Fionna's World... Also, while Fionna and Cake probably wouldn't COMPLETELY forgive Scarab for trying to destroy their world, I think they would feel some sympathy, if they learn about the tragic romance! 🪲❤️💔

i’ve seen a few “natural winter king” aus with new roleswaps/characters/character personalities but consider… what if we used the roles the exist in the winter king episode already?

finn is fionna, jake is cake. but there’s more!! bc fionna’s magic ice sword is an analog to finn’s cursed grass sword!! so instead of fern we get some kinda ice fionna (freeze?). if cake’s jake, then lady’s gotta be monochromicorn. do not separate them. bmo could be based on an alarm clock n be more serious and less playful! fionna and cake gotta do shit !! gunter swapping with pepbut is a given. maybe a scarab/lich swap for the lulz? serious enemy in a world of silly that’s trying to destroy everything the protags know

for non-ep roleswaps, since cq is a pre-determined role betty naturally has to be swapped with marcy but honestly that’s a given with wk aus. since the ice and candy elements basically swap roles, maybe slime and flame could, too? with fp and sp swapping roles?? i could also just make fp dj flame and have that be an f&c-based swap, since dj flame and fionna are exes, but eh. maybe both??? DJ SLIME PRINCE????

Erm, Lich Scarab AU upon ye

Basically, the Lich possesses Scarab and uses Scarab’s powers and status to try and kill everything in every universe, and the entirety of F&C is the Lich steadily becoming more unstable and using the guise of gathering evidence against Prismo to try and complete his eradication goal :3

This is all copied from my rant in a discord server 😭

So, from what I’ve seen, it’s like the Lich can possess/manipulate people with unstable emotions or who are disillusioned with the world around them. Scarab, being a god auditor, often has to travel to different dimensions to track down wayward cosmic entities, and it’s canon (? The wiki said so) that the Lich can share memories between different dimensional variants of himself.

So basically, in some universes, Snail Lich sees this cosmic entity that’s just furious at everything and starts scheming. Basically, it starts stalking him the moment it senses he arrives in a dimension, and feeds off the negative energy. He then uses this energy to become more powerful, and eventually, in one universe the Lich breaks free and just beelines it towards Scarab

Don’t get me wrong, Scarab is a brutally efficient god auditor but he also does have a bit of a superiority complex and easily dismisses the threat that the Lich poses. He just goes about his job, disguised, until a Lich possessed old man asks disguised Scarab for some help with a chore

Scarab, wanting to keep his cover, reluctantly agrees, and then is ambushed by the old man turned Lich, who possess him in turn (and it’s canon that the Lich can, on some level, possess cosmic entities, as seen w/ New Death)

Course, because Scarab is a cosmic entity, he doesn’t die when he gets possessed, he just gets shoved into a dark corner of his mind and body. He’s like, freaking out, trying to rationalize to himself on how he was tricked so easily, and the Lich is like having a blast with a high ranked cosmic entity as a puppet/vessel

He also uses Scarab’s shapeshifter abilities to his complete advantage, and just parades around as Scarab. And, well, if other gods notice Scarab acting a bit more erratically, and if his eyes glow more green than red, and he’s quieter and more calculated, it’s just Scarab doing his job, right? Nobody really likes Scarab, anyway, so why do they care?

The only one who really notices that Scarab is Not Actually Scarab is Prismo, bcuz he got killed by the Lich before, and he can recognize that energy even if the Lich is putting on a perfect performance of a god auditor, inspecting him for some faulty readings (that being Fionna, Cake, and Simon)

Basically, the reason why Scarab was so fucking bonkers during the entire Fionna and Cake series was cuz of the Lich bending his body to the absolute limit trying to figure out how to properly take over the Time Room and eradicate every single living thing in all universes.

And during the Golbetty scene, Lich Scarab watches himself get cubized by Golb, does the whole attacking Simon before crawling into his head, and then just loses his mind in Fionna’s world

His drops the Scarab disguise and reveals the Lich face, along with his patchwork of other disguises and bones and stuff, and just goes ham on killing Fionna’s world

It’s not until another cosmic entity shows up and forcibly removes the Lich from Scarab that he gets complete control of his mind and body back, and while he’s back to “normal” he’s scarred pretty badly and has to step down as god auditor.

Prismo kinda takes pity on him and asks Orbo if Scarab can become a Wishmaster and Orbo is like “yea sure mate” and it actually really helps Scarab bcuz being out of his pain ridden body and being simplified does wonder to the mental health ya know

Not exactly Prohibitedwish but also they’re a lot more friendly with each other than in canon cuz Scarab owes Prismo for saving him from terrible pain

Scarab’s body does eventually get healed over the course of a few hundred years so by the time it’s like, mostly okay, Scarab wouldn’t be in pain for every time he moved. His body is still scarred badly, and his disguises share those scars, but yea!!

There's this bittersweet Prohibitedwish AU called 'Prohibited Love'... It's about how Scarab was boyfriends with Prismo's Host Body... But when Pink Dream Prismo was created, he couldn't remember Scarab anymore... Scarab became heartbroken, and became a workaholic to ignore the pain... Scarab only pretended that he wants to be Wishmaster, when Scarab's True Goal is to make Prismo stop being Wishmaster, so that Scarab can be allowed to wake 'Original Prismo' up! 😴 Do you want to know the depressing cherry on top of the 'Prohibited Love' AU?... Scarab resents 'Dream Prismo' because he's not 'HIS Prismo'... Scarab is too heartbroken to give Dream Prismo a proper chance! 💔

Oh well, that nice... I'm not interested in the ship atm as if you see my recent posts are either about some drama or my favorite Crackship between Obake and Cedric, but I'm glad you told me.

Also, sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm a ProhibitedDEATHwish enjoyer (which means I ship Prismo x Lich x Scarab), so I wouldn't be too interested either way.

More on my au:

After swapping places with Simon, old man prismo is taken back to Ooo in the body of Simon, still dazed, and we would learn that in his sleep, original prismo returns, which would lead to an episode consisting of him trying to communicate with Finn and Jake, all oblivious and thinking that the weird noises are just a creature of some sorts.

Due to the fact that elements never happened, there would be no build up to the gum war. Instead, Prismon (Simon as prismo) would continue to try more and more drastic measures to free Betty from GOLB, likely using fern as an assistant, until the episode "temple of mars"(which would likely be renamed), when prismo, Jake and Finn (maybe Marcelline) finally are able to reverse the swap spell. At this point, Simon has gone completely insane and has already concocted a plan to save Betty.

Golb.

In a prior episode, he would have used fern as a vessel to bring a lich from another would (maybe jerry/deadworld) and plotted to open a portal to golb's world to retrieve Betty, who would be revealed to have been made into a tetris block like the lich in fionna and cake. This would be the main plot of "come along with me", with Simon entering the antiverse (golb's world), while Golb's monsters begin to destroy Ooo. In this, I imagine that Marcelline would be the one to use nightmare juice from the episode "orb" against Simon, however to no avail. I think there would also be a scene with Finn and Fern, like in "come along with me". However, due to his different experiences and a multi episode arc (I will explain later) about letting go of being Finn, Fern would tell Finn not to kill the grass demon under the idea of accepting it's existence and refusing to give it any leverage to do bad things (I can't let my boy fern die) Simon would then wake up from the dream and locate Betty, who would (as a tetris block) begin to float away from him and towards GOLB, who in turn consumes her in an attempt to prevent Simon reaching her (my theory for the main show is that GOLB serves as a way to dispose of universes and crossovers, maybe with it being fed the various criminals that scarab captures, so I decided to incorporate that into the au). Just like in the original episode, Simon would jump in, with Finn following close behind, along with Marcelline.

In golb's stomach, the digestion of Simon would take a lot longer, allowing for a scene showing just how insane he has become from MMS. Eventually, he would be fully reverted back to normal and realise the damage he has caused to those around him, deciding to merge with GOLB using the ice crown (which Betty would have been wearing when she was taken to GOLB and tetris-ified), just like with Betty in the main show, to save everyone, and everyone else escaping via "time adventure".

Once Golb/Simon leaves, Fern would decide to go out on his own adventure, having accepted that he isn't Finn and should become his own person.

i just realized that any job swap aus that put scarab’s sleeping body in the time room means that his ass got killed too LMAO

because if y’all remember, old man prismo was OUTSIDE the time room before finn and jake brought his bed in so they could wake him up and go to the citadel but then the lich just turned old man prismo into dust and the reason he’s now sleeping in the time room is because Time Shenanigans had jake turn into old man prismo in there n like hell is he moving that body again

so sleeping scarab being in the time core would mean something similar had to happen… which means that job swap scarab at some point would have a lil jake in him… please think about scarab as he is now but being very concerned about his new found curiosity of the culinary arts and squashing down any sort of budding paternal yearning
