the ‘shut up’ kiss - when a character kisses another while they are ranting, typically when they want to shut them up or are in complete awe of the character speaking that they cannot wait any longer to kiss them.

summary: the reader was nervous about her latest design she had done for the queen’s 'fuck you france’ dress, she asks her girlfriend to check if there was anything she could change.

writer’s note: ya’ll this is my first piece of writing on here so don’t judge me. i  saw such a lack in shuri x readers and honestly i just decided to write my own cus i was not having it (IT WAS GIVING VERY MUCH ANTI-BLACK). i’m usually a reader on here so i dont even know how the writing side of this website works. sorry if this makes no sense at all. PLUS i don’t even write about or for marvel.

“Shuri I need you to be ONE HUNDRED percent honest with me, okay, I cannot afford to fuck up this dress. it’s so important to your mother.” Y/n hastily said as she dragged her girlfriend by the hand to her design room. Shuri smiled and laughed as she let herself be led by someone so much shorter than her.

“Dont worry, I’m sure it’ll be great, you’re the most talented person I know,” she complimented Y/n with a fond smile on her face as they stood face to face in front of the door, “plus it’ll be fine, the worst thing my mother would say is that it’s horrendous and that you should end your career now,” she joked and Y/n widened her eyes, “other than that, it’ll be fine!”

“Shuri I love you but right now I will not hesitate to cheat on you with one of these mannequins.” Y/n playfully threatened while she opened the door and led a chuckling Shuri into her colourful design room. Each wall was covered from head to toe in pieces of different fabrics and patterns, some fabrics were kitenges that were carefully and beautifully handcrafted by some of Wakanda's most talented artists. On the wall facing the door, wall-length mirrors invited warm golden rays of light the sun had gifted this country into the room. Mannequins of different shapes and sizes with pins and needles in them were all around the room, some were adorned in dresses with the finest silks and colours, and some were bare, waiting to be tested and experimented on.

"You could never cheat on me, I’m too pretty.” Shuri countered.

“Until you speak.” Y/n smiled lovingly at her and Shuri rolled her eyes at her before letting her eyes wander through the beauty of this room. She could never get over how Y/n always managed to make every room she entered look even more beautiful than it already was. This room would never be able to look as great as it did if there was never some pretty girl working away in here, always dressed in long, flowy dresses, with her bottom lip in between her teeth while she drew on her next design, an automatic masterpiece. 

After Shuri took in the full room, her eyes finally came across the dress.

Her mother’s dress.

The dress that Y/n had been stressing about designing for weeks, wondering if it looked like crap or if it was going to be to her mother’s liking.

Shuri’s breath was blown away as she took in the dress on the mannequin. it was a dark blue/purple, a colour that never failed to accentuate her mother’s unmatched beauty, with gold accents and geometrical patterns flowing down the dress. it had a jewel-type neckline that was gold and she even managed to create a matching hat that her mother was bound to love. this look was fit for a queen, especially a queen that was looking to send a message about her country.

Y/n took Shuri’s silence as a bad thing and widened her eyes, “ So what do you think? I know it’s a little messy right now, but this is only a draft and I wasn’t sure if your mother wanted this colour. She sort of told me to do me so I kind of went wild and- oh my Lord I think I might lose my job if she hates this. this seems like a dress fit for a queen that wants to scold other nations for trying to steal from us right? Or am I underestimating the level of import-” Y/n’s fast rant was cut off by Shuri taking large strides towards her and giving her the most rewarding kiss she’s ever experienced. She was taken aback at first but eased into it, enjoying the peace being in Shuri’s arms gave her.

When they pulled apart Shuri smiled at her in awe and adoration, Y/n was truly one of the most talented women she knew, "It looks amazing, Y/n. my mother will shine in it like she always does in your designs. I can’t believe you were able to do this all by yourself.” Shuri truthfully reassured her.

Y/n smiled at the praise Shuri had given her. It meant a lot coming from her, the most brilliant woman she knew. “Really?” Shuri nodded with a smile while looking down at her, probably with hearts in her eyes, “thank you, I was so stressed about this and Okoye wasn’t helping much either she said it looked wild, but she really cannot be talking with her Fenty shade 440 that doesn't even match her head!” Shuri let out a laugh at Y/n’s joke and nodded.

“That’s her way of saying that it looks good,” She explained as Y/n smiled, letting her hands rest around Shuri’s shoulders and play with her short curly hair that she loved so, so much.

“Thank you by the way, for letting me drag you out of your lab to see some silly dress. I know you have a lot of things on your mind.” Y/n truly was thankful to Shuri, so much has happened to her, with her brother passing and her not being able to properly grieve. Y/n still isn’t able to comprehend how Shuri still finds the time to help, love and support her.

“No, thank you. for being the only person who is truly able to make me laugh like I used to.” Shuri wasn’t lying, she hasn’t properly smiled in a few months and Y/n was able to help her smile in less than five minutes. There was a moment of comfortable silence between the couple before Okoye started knocking on the door, yelling Y/n’s name repeatedly. the two widen their eyes and burst into giggles.

“YES!” Y/n calls out, suppressing a few laughs.

“Y/N I KNOW YOU’RE GOOD AT MAKEUP AND SUCH SO I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD TELL ME IF MY FOUNDATION SHADE WAS OKAY!” Shuri widened her eyes at Okoye's words and broke down with laughter.

“YEAH I’LL BE RIGHT WITH YOU!” Y/n yelled back, trying to control her giggles.

The two silently laughed together for a few seconds, savouring the happiness and light they gave each other in a time of eternal darkness.

Hey how ya'll doing.

SO in the past couple of months that I haven't bothered touching this account in a while, I have decided to make a come back and actually post some of that good jackieboyman content that some of you probably followed me for.

HOWEVAH!!

because I have not drawn in a very, and I mean in a VERY. VERY LONG TIME. I could be very rusty so I'm doing small warmups in my spare time. And the reason for that is because:

1. Too Many Ideas to Pursue

I wanted to take some time off from drawing a bunch of these fanarts because the more I think about the next one, another idea comes in, and another, and another, and the idea generator sorta blew up so I had to take a little chill for a while.

2. Taking A Break

I have actually been drawing non stop since 2012, and I am not gonna lie, it was a TON of pain that my hands had to go through, although procrastination is a factor to my process, I wasn't feeling a lot well with drawing non-stop everyday, so I decided to take a really long rest and start to catch up on the games, anime, and movies that everyone was playing.

3. JSE Fanart

I was deciding whether or not I wanted to keep doing more JSE fanart because, although everyone is very supportive to us artists, and we heavily appreciate the support that all of you have given to us, it is very stale to keep drawing the same thing over and over again. Though my attempts to pull out some OCs that I am proud of and really love drawing, I feel like I needed to wait a little bit more for these guys to actually have been released, since I haven't given them any proper context.

4. Contemplating On College

Some of you wouldn't know but I am currently enrolling in a college at the moment. Trying to focus on finishing the requirements by friday so content will be taken a little longer to be posted.

5. Commissions

So for those of you who know, I have submitted a small commission sheet somewhere around last year of June 2019. Though some took longer than expected because of previously mentioned reasons, I have pulled it off successfully and have met some of your request to your expectations.

I did close it immediately because the styles somewhat didn't appeal to what I actually do normally. Granted, I seperated them only 2 months ago, but I haven't exactly started posting content on said seperate account.

So for the next week, I will be posting the new pieces that I have just whipped up for this month and hopefully, and I really mean HOPEFULLY, open it again in the next month. (Plus I needed a new laptop because the current one seems to be about to die so I really need help with it.)

6. Jackieboyman Anime OP IN PROGRESS

Yes, you've read that right. So far I had been a sitting duck with how I will be presenting this project. BUT, after many months processing the whole storyboard to the extent where I had to listen to the same damn song repetitively for the last 3 months and 2 weeks, I have officially began to create the said opening for the Jackieboyman Anime that I have so wanted to work on for so long.

Though as of now, the storyboard is still in progress, and I am ITCHING to finally get down and jump into the groundwork, all of you would need to be patient with me. I want this anime opening to be of its best and highest quality as I can muster for all of you to enjoy, and because character design wise and how I envision my version of the JBM universe to look like, the process would take a little more time.

I will pull out various polls for all of you to vote as to which design, clothing, and overall thematic essence for each character would be best. I will have to render this as close as to what all of you have voted for and mix it in with my own spices for the final masterpiece to be the work of both fans and creator.

Bear in mind as well that because I'll be busy with college and what not (depending whether this quarantine and virus will end), I'll probably end up sort of delaying the progress a bit so workflow maybe hindered. The release date would probably be somewhere along the lines of early April 2021 or somewhere of late June 2021. Whichever comes first.

Small gifs or processes with how it's going will be posted here specifically. Though small sketches of what the characters would look like or somewhat of a story driven sketch will be posted both here and twitter.

Wonder Duo Rising // !!!SPOILERS!!!

Ok so.

I’ve FINALLY watched “BNHA/MHA: Heroes Rising” (subs were awful, but still- quality of the video was A++++ so I’m not complaining).

And what I have to say? Well...

1. This movie is my favourite among those made for shounen anime. Like, I don’t give a damn for “Naruto” movies, or “Bleach” ones. Like: Neh, they exist, it’s ok I guess? But is “Heroes Rising” a flawless movie? Oooooof course no.

2. Like, I feel that this movie was too short and plot overall was too easy. 

3. I have problems with Kacchan. Or rather, with OFA Kacchan. Like, if he had LOST his quirk, then inheriting OFA from Izuku would have more sense, and yeah, I know that Izuku passed it to him because they needed “Two OFA’s” but isn’t the whole thing in Katsuki about “beating All Might” about doing it with his own power? It would be great to see how Izuku and Katsuki are winning with great plan and even greater cooperation, using together OFA + Explosion.

4. ... Still I love Kacchan’s face when he realized that Izuku’s going to sacrifice his quirk and hero life, about which he always dreamed. Like, bro you do care a lot, and I’m fangirling with this bromance.

5. My best friend said that their “lightning-struck-me” OFA design looks kinda lame and... I agree? Their eyes were weird, and while I understand why they were looking like that but... We don’t need this saiyan sht here. At least I don’t. 

6. SERO AND OCHACO TEAMUP. TOKOYAMI AND MINA TEAMUP. TEAMUPS OF TEAMUPS. OHMYGOD LET ME FANGIRL ABOUT THOSE.

7. Also in this house we respect our girl Ochaco. If you think she’s useless like “Naruto’s” Sakura then come here and fite me. She was totally amazing and I’m glad she got screentime she deserved.

8. Also I wanted to adopt Mahoro and Katsuma right away. Adobrs little bbys. I joked like, a lot about them being BakuDeku children (to my bff’s “SIIIIGH”) but I think that they were great example and good bros for the kids.

9. I love WonderDuo content to the extreme. And while I do not ship those two romantically, I totally understand why BakuDeku shippers were and are screaming about this.

10. Like, come on, it was SO WEIRD BUT REFRESHING to see how Izuku and Katsuki have actually NORMAL conversations and how Katsuki is almost CALM around him just like around Kiri and Denki. My “I need them to be friends again” heart is happy af.

11. Also Nine is basically Squalo from KHR but calm.

12. Still, when WILL UA learn that sending 1-A ANYWHERE is a REALLY bad idea? Oh, island with people living in peace 30 years already? Yeah, let us send there those kid’s who are like a bait for death and destruction. I wonder what will go wrong.

13. Have I said how I love that noone was useless there? Like, ok, Mineta was... Mineta, but Ojiro? My baby Aoyama? Everyone else? You did AMAZING job my kids. Let me hug ya’ll!

14. So I’ve made a post few weeks ago about Bakugo forgetting about inheriting OFA: “I think the ending of the new movie is logical.After all in manga we have Bakugou that doesn’t remember sht, so if they would make him remember that he got ofa it would be “? ? ? ? ?”.Also we still need a big WonderDuo moment in manga, so yeah. It would be just bad if they would solve all of their problems in the movie.“ and while the movie IS A FILLER I still think it’s very reasonable FOR ANIME.

15. I mean it’s NOT rare for anime to mix a little fillers with canon content, so I guess it’s an “open door” for the future mixing in anime seasons. After all Nine is/was canon character.

16.  I’m still sad that there was no Aizawa content we all need. And no 1-B. Me sad.

17. Finally I think it was wrong to use MIGHT+U ost in season 4 for Overhaul vs InfiniteOFA moment. Like ok, it was great but it stole the effect of “woah” for me, when I saw final battle betwen 2 OFA’s and Nine, since I saw the season 4 first, and movie just yesterday. I think it would be a LOT BETTER If MIGHT+U would be “only for movie” OST.

Soooo yeah, I was hyped and I’m glad I watched this. Still I hope that third movie will be better than this one, if there will be a third one, that is. I really liked the fights and the animation, screeentime for every 1-A student. I had some problems, and yeah this movie is still not in the area of Hayao Miyazaki masterpieces (not even close tho). But it still was worth to watch, and I still would love to see this in cinema.

Everyone wants to still run their mouths, try to control a man, and those hos, have no power, position, fame, etc. They are with or around you because of who you are, what you have done, and what you can give them---in my opinion that is abuse of power and targeting someone to manipulating them to do what you want them to do.

I would not cop an attitude with everyone, if  I did not feel like the world was against me. Hint, hint -- I don’t trust authority figures because I was molested, abused, targeted, almost died several times, lied to, cheated on, setups, smear campaigns, gossiped about, bullied, beat on, yelled at, called names, jealous women everywhere so dumb they forget I have a hunger against Human  Trafficking. People are on this RACISM BULL SHIT.

Basic belief system of Karma, it is a metaphysical/paranormal reality that is mixed with real, artificial, and soon-to-be virtual reality. It is what it is.

Pinehead Headcanons: Oscar’s Fairy Godmother

Top of the morning to you fellow Pineheads, it’s the squiggle meister here with another Pinehead headcanon. Last year May 8th, I shared this musing post based on a question asked by @darleenas-art regarding the group going to Atlas. In this post, I shared an idea about the heroes meeting a character inspired by the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. This is what I said:

“…Imagine if…Team RWBY and Team JNOR attract the eye of a renowned Atlesian fashion designer/stylist like the character Cinna from the Hunger Games series.

This particular designer is well known around Atlas for the fabricated masterpieces he’s crafted with the ole school technique of fusing dust with fabrics. However lately the designer has been suffering from a harsh block of creativity…at least until he meets our heroes for the first time. We haven’t seen much of dust-infused fashion since Cinder Fall in V2.

Imagine…this Atlesian designer being assigned to supply the team with Atlesian wear and/or tailor original designs for events for our heroes are invited to attend in Atlas. Fellow Hunger Games fans, remember Katniss’ Girl on Fire and Mockingjay dresses from the first and second films?

I want Ruby to have something like that—a gorgeous red dress fashioned from red fire dust that even reacts to her semblance so that if she twirls or uses her speed, it creates this gorgeous vortex of burning red rose petals around her. And as an added feature, it even has a hood to match the silver-eyed girl’s taste. I want Ruby to have a dress like that sooo bad!

Even better, imagine…Team RWBY and Team JNOR receiving new threads for the Atlas Arc—special-made clothes that were designed to support and in some cases even amplify (somehow) each of their individual weapons and semblances while appearing ultra stylish so that the gang can kick ass in style.

 We have yet to meet an actual character in RWBY who is tasked with literally designing clothes for our main heroes, particularly combat-ready fashion. Oh! Let that be the name of their collection: COMBAT READY.

Y’know what I want now for the Atlas Arc? Can RWBY have its very own gender bent Edna Mode character inspired by Cinna from the Hunger Games but mostly based off of the Fairy God Mother from the Cinderella fairytale in terms of personality; voiced by Tim Gunn from Project Runaway?

What? If anyone’s going to voice a fashion designer/stylist animated character, let it be big boy himself. I don’t care how RoosterTeeth do it but I want it to happen. Somehow.

They got Michael B Jordon, a.k.a The Killmonger from Black Panther, for the future gen: Lock series. They can totally get Tim Gunn to voice a character in RWBY, right? Right.

This is what I said last year. I’ve been thinking about this theory lately a lot so I figured I’d revisit it again. Since Ruby Rose found her mentor in Maria Calavera, for the Atlas Arc, I really want to see this fashion designer character based off of the Fairy Godmother. And what would make this idea even better is if this designer takes a special shine to Oscar since he reminds them of their son that passed away years ago.

The reason I want Oscar to have his own Fairy Godmother (or father, either can work) is because I’m picturing a scene where there is some dance or charity ball that the heroes have to attend for a mission or something and the Gala is of course hosted by the Schnee Dust Company or sponsored by it so naturally Jacque Schnee and Whitley Schnee are attendants.

Remember that theory post I made about Weiss needing a favour from Whitley and Whitley only granting it to her on the terms of Ruby agreed to accompany him to the gala as his date? So as a favour to Weiss, Ruby begrudgingly agrees to attend the gala with Whitley while Oscar shows up as Weiss’ date to the gala.

As an alternate version of this concept, imagine if…there is some kind of annual Winter Ball hosted by the Atlas Academy and sponsored by the SDC that the heroes decide to attend as a sort of cool down after an open invitation from Team FNKY.

Oscar bucks up the courage to ask Ruby to be his date to the dance to his surprise, she agrees. In my head I picture Oscar asking Ruby right in front of the listening ears of their respective teams, especially Jaune, Nora and Ren.

After Ruby says yes, at first Oscar tries to play it cool as if he isn’t internally screaming and doing summersaults at the idea of a night of dancing with his crush. However the instant Ruby walks away and Oscar is back with his team, the JNPR squad just break out in delighted squeals and cheers as Jaune, Nora and Ren each show their support of Oscar finally getting his chance with Ruby.

Another reason why I want Oscar to join with JNR and revive Team JNPR. I can totally see Jaune, Nora and Ren becoming Oscar’s surrogate big brothers and sister being all super supportive of him especially when he starts expressing his crush on Ruby.

So Oscar is all set to go the dance with Ruby but doesn’t have anything to wear. So the JNPR squad roll out to help Oscar pick out his tux for the dance while doing a little group shopping themselves. At some point the JNPR squad run into Oscar’s Fairy Godmother---in my head I christened her Poppy Merlin (because she’s a magician with dust-infused fabrics and creates mystical designs that works wonders for her clients)---while shopping in one of her stores.

The minute Poppy hears that Oscar needs a tux for a date with Ruby, she immediately, in a rather overdramatic fashion orders that Oscar be permitted to not touch any of the other tuxedos in the store calling them ‘garbage’ and insisting that Oscar gets a Poppy Merlin original---basically she offers to tailor Oscar a one of a kind tux specially for the dance and it’s an offer that Oscar unfortunately could not refuse since Poppy would not take no for an answer.

Ya’ll know how much I like promoting that #EverybodyAdoptsOscar hastag so I would love it if Oscar gets his own Fairy Godmother who is a fashion designer. Overall I just want to see a fashion designer character introduced in RWBY especially one who infuses dust into their fabrics.

The only time we’ve seen this technique done is with Cinder Fall in V2 and then it’s never see again in another volume. I want to see  more dust infused fashion and of all the Kingdoms that could bring this to us, Atlas is the place to be because I’m still envisioning Atlas being like the Capitol from the Hunger Games.

I keep making a lot of references to the Hunger Games with RWBY because that’s how I feel the Atlas Arc will be like once the group arrive in Atlas. Atlas is going to probably look like the Capitol… or y’know Wakanda. One of those things. And since Atlas has made mainly strides with its technology, I’d like to think it’s also known for its fashion too.

Really want an Atlesian fashion designer who works wonders with dust-infused fabrics, based off the Fairy Godmother who also takes a liking to Oscar. Probably asking too much here but it’s something I’d love to see if possible.

With the release of his 13th studio album 4:44, Jay-Z has quietly but efficiently illustrated why Kanye West should shut the fuck up as well as aptly deliver all the reasons why we should leave Kanye to suffer in the Sunken Place...

The discussion amongst multiple music platforms, as well as the general listening public, is currently dominated by the cultural, emotional, and intellectual framework the album works within. While I support the dissemination of yet another entry into the Musical Hall Of Unapologetic Blackness, I must profess a profound sense of confusion. Confusion stemming from the fact that the Gods have already seen fit to bless us with the audio equivalent of your grandma's shortbread with the butter on the top. What am I referring to you (shamefully) ask?

Snow in July

The title alone lets you know how deep this joint is. 'Snow In July'? That shit don't happen unless you live in an area where you can, like, reasonably expect to see polar bears and penguins and shit on your drive to the post office. I'm not here to convince anyone against making dumb ass decisions all day every day like Groundhog Day, but instead featuring Ma$e. I'll continue to be the realest dude in a sea of music faker than Nicki Minaj's fourth nipple. However, if you do want to get put on game and make some Gaines (See what I did there? Genius, bitches.) then come see me. Cause right now I'm clutching this dude's whole catalog tighter than all the fleece turtlenecks he's wearing in all the promo material.
