alright, I'm gonna have my first real post on this blog be a proposal for a Sands of Yogurca arc rewrite; the main things being

There is no underground crime syndicate and Plain Yogurt isn't as huge of a fucking shitass

Lilac and Scorpion are a couple of orphan best friends turned petty thieves who would secretly hitch rides on caravans to get around. Lilac takes a more "don't get caught" approach while Scorpion actively enjoys leeching the life out of cookies and finds any excuse to do so, to Lilac's chagrin.

Maybe Centipede can be repurposed as a sassy shop owner and I frankly don't know what to do with Peppercorn. Maybe a construction worker of sorts, those two aren't really my focus tho

Instead of Plain Yogurt trying to kill his little brother, he's just verbally abusive like a normal person. Maybe Lilac and Scorpion were attracted to Yogurt Cream's palace because of the parties he throws and they were able to sneak in, their objective to snag some valuables and food and get out.

However, Lilac manages to bump into Yogi, and because of his naivity and loneliness, he strikes up a conversation with the strange cookie he's never seen before. Lilac feels a need to play along as to not get caught and Scorpion isn't around to help him out of the situation. After a fairly long night of humoring Yogi, Lilac finds himself drawn to his dumb ass and ends up leaving without actually taking anything. Scorpion notices that he's more reluctant to jump ship to the next town than normal.

One night, she's able to follow him as he sneaks out of their camp, thinking Scorpion was asleep. After finding out that he's been meeting up with Yogi, she sets out to get him killed and get her old friend back. Cue shenanigans

Reward {LilacCream}

“That was scary! Urgh, I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if you weren’t there…”

Lilac nodded as Yogurt Cream clung to his arm, walking so close he nearly tripped him. Lilac had been protecting Yogurt Cream that day from a random ambush, and now Yogurt Cream wouldn’t stop talking about how awesome Lilac had been.

“I mean, really! I would be a pile of crumbs right now!”

Lilac nodded again and Yogurt Cream frowned. They ended up back at Yogurt Cream’s house, safe and sound. Lilac walked Yogurt Cream in and was about to head off, but Yogurt Cream stopped him.

“Lilac, wait! I’ve gotta pay you back somehow for that. You need… You need a reward!”

Lilac perked up at the mention of a reward. Yogurt Cream had discovered something not long ago, and he’d been almost trying to find excuses to do it ever since. Lilac had no complaints, as he felt rather comfortable with Yogurt Cream at this point. He also knew that Yogurt Cream had nothing but respect for him and his boundaries, so the rewards were welcome.

Yogurt Cream noticed Lilac perk up and grinned. He quickly ushered Lilac over to the sofa, where Lilac looked back hesitantly.

“Sit down!” Yogurt Cream said, and Lilac quickly did so. Yogurt Cream sat next to him, hardly able to contain himself. Lilac almost thought this was more of a reward for Yogurt Cream than for him, but just for a moment. His thoughts were quickly interrupted when Yogurt Cream squeezed his hips.

Lilac had become used to this peculiar reward. He was still apprehensive in expressing how it made him feel, but Yogurt Cream was always quick to make him feel more comfortable.

“Lilac, you’ve gotta laugh! You’ll pop!”

Lilac began to giggle shortly after, unable to hold back anymore. He was also slightly afraid of what Yogurt Cream said about him popping. Yogurt Cream laughed with him, careful with his touches and his words. This was one thing he could tell Lilac at least somewhat enjoyed, and he wanted to keep it that way. In a way, it was a reward for both of them.

Okay so the song is “I See Red” by Everybody Loves an Outlaw. The song in general doesn’t fit them but I heard this part and it made me think of them. I feel like this part of the song is Lilac going from trying to kill Yogurt Cream to taking any hit for him.
