this is my first ff written in english. please keep that in mind. enjoy reading <3

Summary:

Lilah Avery has always wanted more than being a member of the Whitetail Militia. She always wanted more. Messing with Jacob Seed got her what she wanted.

Chapter One

— Are you ready? — I whispered into the walkie-talkie. — Yep. I'm waiting near the exit. — Jess replied. I looked around. It was well after three in the morning and everyone in the room was long asleep after another hard day. I wanted to sleep too, but I knew I couldn't let my friend down now. I slowly climbed out of bed, grabbing my rifle in the process, I got dressed and left the room as quietly as I could. I didn't want any questions from the rest of the group. I was about to leave when I saw Tammy out of the corner of my eye. I sighed. — Where are you going? — she asked, placing her hands on her hips. How was this woman still awake at this hour? — I'm going for a walk. — I replied shortly, avoiding her piercing gaze. — A walk? At three in the morning? With a gun? — she snorted. — Lilah, whatever you want to do… Just think it over, okay? I gave her an uncertain look, then climbed the ladder and opened the hatch. Tammy could be annoying and nosy, but then again, I wasn't surprised at all. She just wanted the best for everyone. The cool night air hit me in the face. Even though it was still summer, the nights here were usually cool. I closed the door behind me, looked around and saw Jess leaning against one of the trees. — Do you only have a bow with you? — I asked. — I still have my knife. — she replied. — Come on, we don't have much time. The Cook can leave at any time. We both walked over to the ATV parked off the main road. I sat behind Jess, gripping her shoulders tightly, and we started driving. After about thirty minutes we were there. We stopped a little higher to get a better view of this son of a bitch. I knew exactly what he did to Jess. I remember like it was yesterday when she told me her story. About how he killed her family. About how much he scarred her mentally. I wanted to help her, I wanted to, but helping wasn't my only motive. I wanted to be recognised. I've been dreaming about it ever since I joined the Whitetail Militia. I wanted this thing to bring me at least some notoriety. From the very beginning, I lived in Deputy's shadow. He was the one who got all the glory, while we - those who helped him - were just… overlooked. I knew him, I knew he was a good man with a head on his shoulders and good intentions, but I just envied him. I brought my eye closer to the telescope and began to observe what was happening below. The Cook was standing almost in the middle, a grave had been dug in front of him and several people were lying in it. It was no longer possible to recognize them because of how their bodies had been burned. He had a flamethrower in his hands. Around him, at various distances were five other Peggies scouring the area, protecting their boss. — Okay, I'll shoot the one on the left. — I said. The silencer made the shot quiet. Nobody even noticed that one of their men fell to the ground, killed by a bullet. I missed trying to shoot down the third guy. The bullet passed inches from his head. The man screamed, alarming the other two Peggies and The Cook. — Fuck. — I whispered through clenched teeth, still targeting the same guy. — Keep an eye on The Cook, I'll take care of the rest of them, okay? — I asked, but Jess was no longer with me. I couldn't afford to look for her, I knew she'd be fine without me. One of the Peggies poked his head out from behind the stone. I took advantage of this and shot at him, hitting him right in the face. After ten minutes of bullet exchange, only The Cook remained, hiding behind a tree. I had him in my sights as Jess drew her bow, ready to fire. She released an arrow that pierced his right eye. The man fell to the ground, but I could see that he was still alive. — Shit. — I whispered once I was right next to Jess who was stabbing her enemy. She finally stopped when she was exhausted. — It was too easy, don't you think? — I asked, looking around. — We should split up. "Yeah, we should…" Jess gasped, kicking the corpse. Jess silently drove me to Wolves Den.

I woke up after seven AM as usual to see the rest of the Whitetail Militia getting ready to start the day. I was pretty tired after last night so I didn't have to get dressed, I just got out of bed and started leaving the room with the others, heading for breakfast. — Everyone, come to me. — Eli said from his room, clearly nervous. After five minutes, each of the twenty people was standing in front of Eli. — I heard word this morning that The Cook is dead. There was silence in the room. — That's a good thing, but on the other hand, we can expect a response from Jacob. He was one of his best soldiers, there will be revenge. — She did it. — said Tammy, who was standing a little behind Eli. — Lilah. Eli looked at me, a bit surprised. I couldn't quite make out his face as he told everyone to leave. — That's true? — he asked. — I just wanted to help Jess. — I replied. — I understand, but… Damn, why didn't you tell me?" — he asked, resting his hands on his wooden desk. — It can affect any of us. Even defenseless civilians. Have you thought about it? I didn't answer his question, mentally insulting myself for being so reckless. Eli was right. As always. — Promise me you won't do anything like that again, okay?

— I promise. — Okay, tell the others that they can come. Eli has ordered us to be on high alert. As I was leaving to grab some breakfast, Eli grabbed my arm. — Today at ten o'clock you and five other people are working with Deputy. He called me yesterday, said he wanted to take over the Elk Jaw Lodge. Everything went according to Deputy's plan. Well, aside from the fact that one of us got shot in the side, but it was only a graze. He was 27 - two years younger than me. His brown hair and eyes glistened in the morning sun. I watched him talk to the wounded man, then he turned to me with a smile. — You did well. I should take you on things like this more often. — he said, patting my shoulder. I sent him a smile. — Thanks. — Hey, um… Would you like to go to Spread Eagle with me? We should celebrate a little. — Eli told me to go back to Wolves Den as soon as the job was done and report back to him. — I can take you to him, then we'll go to Falls End. What do you think? — he asked. — Okay then, lead the way.

The truth is, my alcohol tolerance was low. We were sitting in the attic that Mary May gave us for today, drinking our fourth beer, talking and laughing. — Aren't you fed up with all of this? — I asked. — What do you mean? — Well, you know, saving people. That Seed Family is on your tail all the time. Deputy took a sip of his beer. Looking at him, I realized I didn't even know his real name. — Sure, I'd rather be somewhere else, but who else will do it if not me? — I'd like to be like you. — I said after a moment of silence. I knew the alcohol was talking through me, but I didn't care at the moment. — What do you mean? he asked again, moving a little closer to me, brushing my brown hair out of my face. — To be a hero. Save people. Have their respect, I don't know… — I sighed, meeting his gaze. He was dangerously close. Too close. — Believe me, you're doing a great job. Then he kissed me.

After a few hours, I woke up where we had been sitting before - on the floor, my head resting against Deputy's chest.

Dilemerus

Lore vs Lair (how do they present in lore vs lair?):

In lore, Dilemerus are one huge aberration, with four heads (and therefore four different dragons), four front legs, two back legs, and four wings, two of which are artificially shrunken.

In my lair, they take the form of two separate dragons, Delilah (Combination of Della and Lilah) and Emerus (Em and Nerus).

Backstory

Dilemerus (Della, Lilah, Em, and Nerus) are an aberration formed by four lovers who decided to be together forever, albeit in a more literal manner than most would choose.

Della is their resident troublemaker and while she always (never) has plausible deniability, she usually gets ratted out by one of the three she's attached to. (She/her)

Lilah might be the closest thing my lair has to a prom queen: elegant, cruel, and willing to beat your ass. (She/xe/no pronouns)

Em is the local sweetheart, and willing to help out anytime; from baking with Araceli to helping Nuthilyan put someone's front legs out of business. (they/them)

Nerus is a very motivated scientist, and sees being attached to three others as no downside. He is almost constantly working, but enjoys just being with his other three. (he/they)

Maximus & Umbelina Sweets (parents) - Delilah has a fairly good relationship though they aren't the most warmest people she knows they love her. Maximus is of british decent while Umbelina is partly French canadian though they immigrated to America due to the lax laws for patents. Both parents are considered odd or even 'mad' by society but Delilah always thought them as normal. They're both tinkerers and invented numerous things both useful and useless but it was the magical extender traintracks for steam trains that made them bank.

Horace Sweets (brother) - Due to the 10 year age gap, Horace and Delilah don't have a very close relationship as they were both raised a only children. He's always had a more cold person.

Priscilla Sweets née Appletree (sister-in-law) - Delilah is fairly close to Priscilla due to their closeness on age. She is opposite of her husband in personality and is often the one who makes up for the family's lack of social life.

Theodore Sweets (nephew) - A carbon copy of Horace but he does have his mother's romantic side. Delilah adores her nephew and spoils him.

Aileen Sweets née Moss (niece-in-law) - Delilah struggles to get along with her roudiness and lack of manners but doesn't see the issues with the different social classes that Horace has.

Friends:

Winona Rosewood - Delilah and Winona have known each other since diapers. They are frequent pen pals and visit each other when one of their families comes to their home country for a holiday.

Glenn Rosewood - She respects his intellect and supports his endeavours to being more just. Though she would never snitch to him.

Euphemia Macnair - Drawn to the Slytherin's natural quiet nature, they have a friendship where they can be in silence for hours and be content with it.

Ema McGiliguddy @kc-and-co - Ema and Delilah go way back to their time at Ilvermorny. Though Delilah witnessed Ema's expulsion, she would never tell anyone nor spread anything about that day.

After graduation, Delilah moved to America before deciding to live in Britain. There, she and Bertie reconnected and fell in love.

Summary: The battle for New York begins

Pairing: Steve x OC

I spent the whole flight to New York stealing glances at Steve. After what Fury had said and the look he had I couldn’t help myself. I had been pinning for Steve since the moment I had walked into the gym to recruit him…Okay I was pinning the moment I watched the videos of him after he came out of the ice. But that was a well kept secret. It wasn’t as if my feelings were out for everyone to see. I wasn’t like Phil; gushing about Steve to anyone who would listen. But when I finally met Steve it became harder to hide my feelings, even though I tried.

However the looks Nat kept sending my way made it painfully obvious that I was failing miserably. Thanks for that Nat. Like I wanted your smug assassin smirk that says ‘I know you want him’ thrown my way. I didn’t have time to be worrying about my feelings and the fact she was looking at me like that made it hard not to think about them.

We were heading to New York to take on an alien army. Aliens! From outer space! Of course I knew that they were out there. I had known Thor since his first trip to earth. But he was a kind, sweet, goofy guy. He reminded me of a big puppy in that way; loyal, caring, but extremely protective and capable of protecting. These aliens Loki was about to unleash on earth were a far cry from the god of thunder and his goofy antics.

I was willing to fight to protect my home, to protect the people of earth. There was no doubt in my mind about that, but I wasn’t sure I actually wanted to see how hideous these things were going to be.

My gaze once more drifted to Steve and all thoughts of the looming battle left my mind. It was as if he was some kind of cathartic for me. One look at him and all my problems melted away. I smiled at him warmly and he smiled back. There was something there, I could feel it, but at the same time I didn’t want to get my hopes up. If this was one sided I didn’t want to go confessing my feelings before the battle like some lovesick idiot. That would be embarrassing. And so I stayed quiet.

The quinjet finally approaches the city and I stood up to get ready for the impending fight. There’s already aliens flying around and I can see things getting destroyed from inside the jet.

“Stark we’re on your three heading Northeast,” Natasha says as the jet dips toward the left.

“What did you stop for drive-thru?” Tony sassed.

I rolled my eyes. “Yeah we did. Got a double quarter pounder with cheese in here when this is all done.” If he wanted to play that game then I would too.

“Oh hush Lilah. Swing up Park I’m gonna lay them out for you.”

I shrugged as the gun dropped from the bottom of our jet and started to rapidly fire at the aliens. We took them out rather easy. Looking out the window I noticed Loki and Thor fighting. “Well that doesn’t seem like a friendly brotherly competition to me,” I mumbled.

Steve chuckled softly. “No it does not.”

The jet turned to face Stark Tower, firing at Loki. Not that any of the shots actually landed. His unfortunately was spot on and took out our engine.

“Fuck me.”

“Lilah!”

“What?! We’re about to crash land. Seems like the perfect moment to be allowed to say whatever I want.” I grabbed onto the roof and swung as we went careening toward the ground.

Luckily, the crash wasn’t as bad as I expected and we were all okay as we went running out the back of the now-destroyed jet. I looked up at the sky as a roar sounded. It was one of the most terrifying things I had ever heard. There was this large gaping hole in the sky that lead to some place in space, blue energy pulsed from the sides.

That wasn’t what made it all so frightening.

It was the extremely large, massive, huge, monstrous serpent like creature that was coming out of the hole that was horrifying. The thing was bigger than anything I had ever seen before and more of the Chutari were popping off the side of it onto the buildings around us.

“I stand corrected. This is a more appropriate time. Fuck me.”

Steve either didn’t hear me or decided to ignore me as he looked around at all the aliens. “Stark are you seeing this.”

“Seeing. Still working on believing.”

“Yeah, I get that. I’ve had some jacked up nightmares over the years, but these guys make those murderous clowns seem like sweet innocent puppies.” I noticed Clint staring at me and shrug. “What?”

“Murderous clowns?” He raised a brow.

“It’s a thing. Leave me alone.”

Stark snorts as he listens to us. “Where’s Banner? Has he shown up yet?”

“Banner?” Steve asked.

“Just keep me posted.”

Lightning came crashing down striking some of the aliens in front of me. “Thor!” I beamed. After he had fallen from the Hellicarrier I had been worried. Seeing him fight Loki and now having him here in front of me put me at ease.

“Lady Lilah.” Thor smiles softly before turning to Steve.

“What’s the story upstairs?” He asked

The smile fell from the god’s face and he sighed. “The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable.”

“Thor’s right. We gotta deal with these guys,” Tony said.

I looked around and hugged myself. “Sure only like a million of them against the six of us.”

Natasha glanced at me with a look of ‘you aren’t wrong’ on her face. “How do we do this?”

Steve kept looking up at the sky. “As a team.”

“I have unfinished business with Loki.”

I walked over and bonked Thor on the head. Now wasn’t the time for his brotherly rivalry or whatever the hell he wanted to call it.

Clint fiddled with his arrows and snorted. “Yeah? Well, get in line.”

I shot him a scathing look. “Barton don’t make me come over there and shove my foot up your ass.”

“Save it.” Steve started walking toward him. “Loki’s going to keep this fight focused on us and that’s what we need. Without him these things could run wild.” He stopped and turned to look back. “We got Stark up top. He’s gonna need us to-”

A motorcycle pulling up cut him off. I laughed softly. “That thing’s a little small don’t you think?” I looked Bruce over as he climbed off the bike.

The whole team was here now. It was now the seven of us against an alien army. Maybe we wouldn’t win, but we were for damn sure going to try.

Steve started to give out orders, “Alright listen up, until we can close that portal our priority is containment. Barton, I want you on that roof. Eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out you turn it back or you turn it to ash.”

Clint looked to Tony. “Wanna give me a lift?”

“Better clench up Legolas.”

I giggled and shook my head. “Only you, Tony.”

“Thor, you gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Try and slow them down. You’ve got the lightning, light the bastards up.” Steve looked to me and Natasha next. “We stay on the ground. Keep the fighting here. And Hulk?” He looked to the big green guy. “Smash.”

The orders seemed relatively simple. I nodded and went running to take on a group of the aliens not that far off. I tied them up with some vines and everything seemed to be going well.

“Lilah!” I heard Natasha yell. But I turned too late. One of the transportation devices was coming straight for me and I couldn’t move in time.

Lilah’s constant inner monologue is the scene in the finale where Renata smashed Gordon’s train set/Gordon with a baseball bat screaming fuck. Could somebody give a woman a moment? “They wanna talk about climate change and the end of the world, which actually, if it comes, it might be a sweet relief” 

5. Scarlett O’Hara (Gone With the Wind) 

The most outwardly Lilah - sweet and southern and flirty. Downplays her intelligence and manipulations. Literally using men to get ahead and marrying for status and control. Does bad things but will think about that tomorrow “You’re so brutal to those who love you, Scarlett. You take their love and hold it over their heads like a whip.” 

6. Amy Elliot-Dunne (Gone Girl) 

Vengeful and cold. Playing the long game and probably has at least three plans to frame you for something. Picture perfect on the outside, knows how to craft herself to be loved and adored. Old Testament God “I forged the man of my dreams. We were happy pretending to be other people, we were the happiest couple we knew. Note: Though he’s basically in exile, Fin is actually a born Vampire Prince from the House of Bratomil. He’s about fourth in the line of succession so unlikely to sit on the throne but his uncle, the King of their House, couldn’t have a possible successor that wasn’t going to continue their line. Fin being gay meant that he was exiled to America.

There are many possibilities as to her early Goddess names: Belil-ili, Belili, Lillake, or Ninlil.

She was a Goddess of agriculture as well as the “hand of Inanna”. 

She was said to dwell in the trunk of the Huluppu-tree:

‘Then a serpent who could not be charmed Made its nest in the roots of the huluppu-tree. The Anzu-bird set his young in the branches of the tree. And the dark maid Lilith built her home in the trunk.’

OK everything I find on Lilith I take with a pinch of salt but jfc she is so damn RESEARCHED by people from scholars to every day curious people. And the “Lilith” they based off her, her only crime was wanting Adam to treat her as an equal. So evil you guys, equality is evil. /Sarcasm.

Recent translations of her name are varied and range from ‘screech owl’, lilah which is darkness or night in Hebrew, to Lilitu which is said to be the Babylonian word for ‘evil night-spirit.’ I don’t know if the translations are accurate, but some say she helped women give birth.

She's a God, succubus and a vampire. She's comfortable with her sexuality and that scared many religions. It's said women like Eve fear her, and men who I suppose lack, eh I don't know apparently most men fear her due to power and her sexuality. I guess these men are pretty lame to fear a woman for sexuality, I get the power but her sexuality? My dudes, grow a pair. This section below is NOT the Lilith I portray, my Lilith is the ancient one, this Lilith is basically just a made up copy but I’m giggling because she’s not even evil aside at the very end. In Kabbalistic tradition, Lilith was made the first wife of Adam. Some sources say that Lilith was Adam’s spirit wife. Other sources claim that Lilith was fashioned from the earth at either the same time as Adam or before Adam. This made Lilith Adam’s equal.

As Adam’s equal, Lilith refused to lie on Her back while Adam took the dominant position in sex (missionary style). Lilith believed that they should make love as equals (the beast with two backs). Adam was adamantly against this, wanting his wife to be submissive, and Lilith left the Garden of Eden.

God then supposedly gave Adam Eve, a docile woman of the flesh.

Eventually, Lilith was portrayed as the foe of Eve. It was Lilith in serpent form who seduced Eve to eat the fruit of knowledge. No doubt the first wife wanted the second wife to see what a jerk Adam was and that Lilith also wanted Eve to open her eyes and come into the fulness of herself, her womanhood.

When both Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden, Adam endured a period of celibacy as penance. During this time, Lilith was said to have caused nocturnal emissions from Adam (night hag). She collected his semen and impregnated Herself with it, giving birth to demons.  These children of Lilith were called Lilin or Lilim, ‘night-demons.’
