Texterna är nedan! (Lyrics below!)
In English:
One, two, three, four
I want to tell you about a little dirt road down by Rio Genil*
About the love you love, but that has more pressing concerns
I want to tell you about the run-over cat I saw on the street
How the eyes were outside its head, its mom mewling “Help him, please”
About great storms, cocaine-fueled eyes
About the violence in us all, about speeding without the need to hurry
I want to tell you all about nothing and even more about it all
I want to tell you that this is my home now
I want to tell you that I am confident when I sleep with others
That I’ve always found it easy to love, that we are the truth in each other
I want to tell you that I am proud of you, I read GP the other day*
“A star has been born,” they wrote, I pray that it gets to your head
I want to tell you that you will be a mother and I a father
Even though it’s incredible that the father knows before the mother
I want to tell you that not once in my wildest dreams
Did I think that it would happen like this but it did
I want to tell you about myself, but also I don’t, you know how I am
Of my new Polish picture book, about how often I fuck up
I want to tell you that I bought my first two house plants
Carlos and Marco, I forgot to water them, now they’re dead
I want to tell you that I have a lover, green eyes, lives by the square
We treat each other well but I’m still sad so often
I know that I need to stop comparing, it is so unfair to them
But my lover runs against you in an eternal marathon, come on
I want to tell you about a little dirt road down by Rio Genil
How it can take me to paradise if I just ask it to
About the restaurant I love that’s a mafia front on Calle Elvira
I could sit here forever, if you were here, you’d get it
I want to tell you that I saw a Norwegian tv-show called SKAM*
That life is easier now, that I’m glad that I’m not 17
That I’m scared of death, but more so I’m bored
That I read Catcher in the Rye, I’m going to read it again
I want to tell you that there are 16 days until my anniversary
I want to tell you that in 16 days we'd've been together seven years
I don’t know if last time counted, maybe, maybe not
I want to tell you (roaring)
I want to tell you that I got more opinions, but fewer ideals
That I think I believe in something good but immoral
That I want to be a writer, a writer!
There is pain in my whole body that I knew when I was young
But somewhere along the way, I lost it
I am me when I write, But someone else every night
I am flexible in absurdity, seven personalities without understanding it
Want to tell you something big, how I have love on my tongue
Want to hear you tell me that a day makes everything different
I want to tell you about Interstellar, you need to see it, I was stunned
Want to tell you that I’ve stopped breaking the law
I want to tell you but It isn’t true, I want to gesture with my whole arms
I want to tell you that the boy you fell in love with just turned 25 in Spain, come on
I want to tell you about a little dirt road down by Rio Genil
How Carmen and I found the answers in the water up to our knees
How I fight every other day to hold back the tears
When I think about my dad
There is a sorrow among my brothers, maybe only I see it
They want to tell me that they don’t agree with me, that I’m crazy
That everything is fine, that I’m exaggerating
I want to tell them that it is us that pushed back life
I see you everywhere, In all the books I bear to read
Despite winter, your nose is speckled in summer camp freckles
I see you in booze, luck, bliss, every time I dream
I miss you so much that I’m falling apart

these are all from my summer playlist and all in swedish, if you understand the titles i think you’ll agree that this romcom is probably very little “com”.

about the feeling the sea gives you at night
Plàsi - Mystery
After conquering the streaming world with his 2018 debut album ‘People’, Swedish songwriter, musician, and producer Plàsi returns with his folk-tinged single 'Mystery', released through independent label UMI Sounds.
The first of three singles from his upcoming EP, 'Mystery's haunting lyrical inflections are encased in rhythmic finger-plucking and acoustic production. Inspired by the likes of José González, The Tallest Man on Earth, and Kings of Convenience, the track was curated on a dark night by the misty coastline. “The sea at night gives me a mystic feeling of always being followed by someone without knowing the reason" he explains.
"A feeling of presence that is sketchy at first, but that gives you strength the more you embrace it. ‘Mystery’ is an attempt to picture that with sound and lyrics.”
Bringing Swedish producers Linus and Hannes Hasselberg on board for the new project, the pair have crafted a polished sound which gracefully compliments Plàsi's elegant aesthetic. Mixed by Canadian Tyler Neil Johnson (Joshua Hyslop and Austin Basham) the pair met twice before deciding to collaborate on the project together: “Tyler found my music online - it means a lot to have his long mixing experience part of this, which has brought that extra dimension to the productions that is difficult to find.”
With the release of his new single and upcoming sophomore project, which will be released through Canadian label Nettwerk Records (Passenger, Angus & Julia Stone, SYML), Plàsi has demonstrated his innate ability to successfully create his own sonic dreamscape. (press release)
