dear internet stop throwing pictures of beautifully toasted bagels slathered in cream cheese at me i don't have a toaster i don't have room in my teeny kitchenette for a toaster a toaster is a luxury here in japan as are bagels as is cream cheese
bagel places here that ask me "do you want that heated up" make me want to cry tears of joy even though all they mean is they're gonna stick the bagel in the microwave for ten seconds so it's slightly warm-ish but not enough to crisp up or melt the cream cheese a little

OKAY I have sent in my translation test to the company!!! Here’s hoping I get an interview~~~~~ ahhhhhhhh On the bright side, since I’m being recommended by a friend, I also already know that a morning interview is possible (assuming I make the cut lmfao) which is great because I have to be at work by 12 PM, so that cuts out a whole lot of the anxiety right there.
Also I did the KIIP level test on Tuesday, and I tested into level 4 which is exactly what I was hoping for!!! Now I just have to hope that the website actually updates with the info that I’m eligible for level 4 so that I can sign up for the classes.

Remote working is becoming more and more common as the world becomes more equipped to conduct business over the internet. As remote workers grow in numbers, so do digital nomads – those who combine their flexible office with their desire to see the world, traveling and working along the way.In recent years, dozens of countries have taken note of this shift and begun offering remote work visas to attract digital nomads. Since a remote worker doesn’t pose any risk of taking a job from a local, nations worldwide are becoming more open to hosting digital nomads on a more long-term basis rather than on standard, more limited visitor visas.
