Nove mostre inedite tra cui 'O partigiano, portami via' per celebrare la carriera di Baru, padre nobile del graphic novel francese, voce delle classi operaie, degli immigrati, dei disgraziati e degli ultimi. Dal 24 al 26 maggio la Pelanda del Mattatoio e la Città dell'Altra Economia di Testaccio, a Roma, si anima con la decima edizione di ARF! "La festa di chi ama, scrive, disegna, legge e respira fumetti". Baru, assieme a Vittorio Giardino, sarà anche protagonista di una Lectio Magistralis.     Tra le altre mostre, c'è innanzitutto 'Più di 100 proiettili' dell'argentino Eduardo Risso, esposizione con cui Arf! rinnova la partnership con l'Istituto Cervantes di Roma, che si terrà dal 17 maggio al 6 luglio 2024 alla Sala Dalì di Piazza Navona.  Ci sarà poi 'Xtraordinarie! dedicata all'arte di Silvio Camboni, autore del manifesto di Arf! 2024, e uno dei fumettisti più eclettici, talentuosi e prestigiosi di Disney e Glénat. Alle visioni del fumettista, illustratore, fotografo, regista e grafico, l'inglese Dave McKean, è poi dedicata l'immaginifica 'I dreamed a dream', esposizione antologica che attraverso tavole e illustrazioni originali ci racconterà questo gigante della Nona Arte, che ha realizzato tutte le copertine e il design del leggendario Sandman di Neil Gaiman (di recente trasposto in adattamento televisivo per Netflix) e capolavori come Batman. In mostra anche i due street artist Solo & Diamond con un'esposizione/racconto della loro attività di respiro europeo, spesso iconograficamente ispirata al Fumetto, oltre che autori della versione variant del manifesto di Arf! 2024, dipinta su una delle pareti del Mercato Testaccio. ARF Fumetti   Ideato e organizzato da Daniele "Gud" Bonomo, Paolo "Ottokin" Campana, Stefano "S3Keno" Piccoli, Mauro Uzzeo e Fabrizio Verrocchi, anche per l'edizione del decennale, Arf! sarà sinonimo di solidarietà: "Nel protrarsi dei tragici scenari di emergenza umanitaria nella Striscia di Gaza - comunicano - il partner solidale del Festival è Assopace Palestina, l'organizzazione di volontariato fondata dalla ex deputata e vicepresidente del Parlamento europeo Luisa Morgantini". Tra gli ospiti internazionali annunciati, ci saranno, oltre a Baru, anche Dave McKean dal Regno Unito e Lâm Hoàng Trúc dal Vietnam.  Tra gli italiani, Alessandro Baronciani, Helena Masellis, Martoz, Gloria Pizzilli, Emiliano Pagani, Agnese Innocente, Lrnz, Matteo De Longis e Isabella Mazzanti. LRNZ is the penname of artist and designer Lorenzo Ceccotti, who has made waves throughout many different fields of visual art around the world, from film and animation to music videos and video games. He has most recently become best-known in the US for his breathtaking first full-length graphic novel, GOLEM, a tale filled with adventure, intrigue, political commentary, and spiritual metaphor. VIEWPOINT was originally printed as a set of extremely limited sketchbooks available only in Italy. We are now looking to produce a brand new, 120+ page softcover collection of the most inspiring pieces from that library, combined with new and never before seen pieces produced in the years since.
