"i... am not sure about this," alicent mumbles, her arms wrapped around herself. she hugs herself tighter as she looks at the dragon in front of her, who is eyeing her with those giant eyes. she recalls, ages ago, when rhaenyra had also tried to get her to come this close to a dragon. at the time, although she had trusted rhaenyra, she had been far too afraid to even consider stepping close enough, yet alone touching it or -- gods forbid, riding it!

yet, here she is. how times change.

her hands shake at her sides, and she is looking at remilia with wide eyes. although she trusts the other, despite not knowing her for very long, she also has been victim to the unpredictability of dragons. they are more her childrens' thing, not hers. "are you sure this is safe?" she asks, her eyes full of fear. gone is the illusion of the ever-strong, never-afraid woman she pretends to be. childlike fear dances in her eyes. "does he have my scent? should i give him my scarf?"

For as long as she studied him — his flesh wrought with blackened corruption like that of necrosis, covered in countless scars, traces of electricity and fire — he'd turned his eyes elsewhere, where they had been to start. A book again, though now Miraak was well-accustomed to dividing his attention. Eyes settle upon hers, expectant. Indeed, he does expect something akin to palm-reading… And so, her initial words render him with a brief jolt of surprise. Mirroring her, he blinks once, then twice, then again.

That was more forward than expected from Remilia.

It must have been obvious the way his eyebrows lifted behind bronze, for her response is sudden after a brief delay. He blinked again as she stood. A creeping grin edges at hidden, scarred lips.

Oh. Yes, the mask. That made much more sense.

bran’s dreams are,, interesting, to say the least. he can see what has been or what still has to be, some cryptic some a slap to the face. he is very much a toss and turner, probably mumbles too but it all would sound like nonsense to anyone else. when he does have a normal dream, he doesn’t sleep long- often waking up multiple times in the night until he just gives up and stays awake. he doesn’t like to dream most days, especially when he first discovered he could do this
