Does Satoru bond with his students at all?
On a personal level, no.
He's their sensei and they are his students and he doesn't intend for it to go beyond that— though his unconventional informality does invite his students to be more relaxed with him, and doesn't discourage them from being informal to him back, or even outright rude like Maki is. He has no intentions on befriending them.
However, he does genuinely care about them, and their happiness. It is largely an exercise in projection, but that does not make the sentiment any less real. Satoru began teaching in order to recognize a dream after all, for their sake. He wants them to thrive in the way his friends when he was a child never got to. He is fierce both about their training as sorcerers and for their happiness as children.
Satoru cares deeply about those two contradicting goals.
We see him employ some fairly harsh decisions when it comes to the students, his philosophy being to push them to their limits and beyond in order to trigger the kind of massive leap in growth that characterizes a strong sorcerer's progress. He fully intends to bring out the best of the students in the way that he himself had been pushed, as he'd seen so many other sorcerers succeed in the desperation of life and death. It can seem cruel and negligent at times, but he is extremely calculating about it; whether he's justified in his methods however is definitely up for debate. His goal is for them to all be strong enough to protect themselves and each other, so that no one would be left behind and thus experience the kind of isolation he and his friends suffered.
But you'll also see him prioritizing their ability to simply enjoy being children. It is actually a sentiment he has held ever since he himself was a kid; going to school after escaping the controlling environment of his clan and being able to experience many normal childish things for the first time had been joyful experiences for him, and he treasured them fiercely. He'd subconsciously seen something of himself in Riko when he'd heard of her situation —and later got to know her— and even back then he'd gone to incredible lengths just to preserve one more happy day for her. It's the same for his students and we see him project it in how he'd saved Yuta and Yuji from their fates, taking his class out together for sushi, rigging the exchange event to have a lighthearted sports day, etc
At the end of the hidden inventory arc, when the main trio wakes Satoru up from his nap, the anime opening highly implied that he'd been crying while dreaming about those happy school days he'd lost. But as he hopped off the chair and watched Nobara and Yuji and Megumi being silly kids and looking happy, Satoru smiled. Their happiness was important to him.
Tl;dr he doesn't ever really let his students in to know him on a personal level ( though some like Yuta will be able to get a deeper sense of his true nature ) and he mostly maintains a playful, childish façade for the sake of them being able to feel at ease with him.

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.
LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.
Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.

i wake up thirsty and i think of palestine. i go to the doctor’s office and i think of palestine. a sign in the corner of the waiting room says ‘this is a place of healing, disruptive behavior will not be tolerated’ and i think of palestine. they probably weren’t thinking of bombs and snipers and mass graves in parking lots. i call my parents and i think of palestine. i drive to the grocery store and i think of palestine. i look at the clear blue sky and i think of palestine. i put the dishes away and i think of palestine. i feed my cat and i think of palestine. i listen to music and i think of palestine. i read poetry and i think of palestine. i text my friends and i think of palestine. i think of palestine and i think of palestine and i think of palestine

"taken" style action movie where a man searches for his wife. as he fights baddies in gunfights and hand-to-hand combat, it's slowly revealed that:
his wife hasn't been kidnapped
their marriage is not healthy or functional
this guy isn't rescuing his wife, he's hunting her down
his wife is a crime boss, those are her henchpeople he's fighting in a john-wick bloodbath
the tension builds until, drenched in blood, our protagonist steps forward for the final showdown. he pulls a manila envelope from his bullet-torn jacket and throws it at his wife's feet. he's just spent an entire trilogy biting & killing & maiming....all so he can deliver his shit wife her divorce papers
