SIRT and its Placements

Sagar Institute of Research & Technology (SIRT), Bhopal is one of the top colleges for engineering and campus placement in Madhya Pradesh. It is the first institute of the Sagar Group of Institutions (SGI) that was started in 2003. They provide training and placement across different B. Tech branches include Mechanical Engineering (ME), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering (CE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EX), AI and Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), MCA, MBA and other diploma engineering programs. 

SGI has a total of 4 sister institutes, including SIRT, SIRT-Indore, SIRT-S and SIRT-E, and these offer over 25 courses. Also, SAGE university was established in Indore and Bhopal in 2017 and 2020 respectively.

SIRT has a Campus Recruitment Cell that is run by three placement officers. This cell is divided into 4 parts, Higher education, Training, Placement and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC). The focus of this cell is to impart practical and technical knowledge to students to help them prepare for the corporate world. The CRC offers various training activities and such as interaction with industry experts, career orientation and guidance programmes, and many more. This university has also tie-ups and collaborations with different companies such as RedHat, InnoEye, TCS, IBM, Microsoft, BHEL, TATA international etc.

How does SIRT achieve such placements?

SIRT focuses on imparting practical knowledge to students. It includes working on Live projects, workshops, seminars,  case studies, industrial visits, industry exchanges and many more. Some ways in which students are provided with adequate exposure are given below.

SIRT puts a strong emphasis on live projects, which allows students to use their learning and critical knowledge to understand and solve the project. 

Practical assignments are designed and distributed amongst students to acquaint them with real-life and how to solve them. During the practical period, the SIRT organises special tests and reflection sessions to assess the scholars’ literacy.

SIRT frequently hosts industry visits for students in affiliated professions to broaden their knowledge and chops in contemporary technology, which is critical for a pupil’s professional development. It's tutored as part of the council class, primarily in engineering, drugstore, and MBA programmes. This ensures that students have an idea of how to use their learnings and knowledge in real life. 

Case studies are a great way for students to sit down and analyse the situation and give their opinions and point of view. A case study facilitates the flow of ideas among students. It allows students to break issues, concoct exercises, and ameliorate critical thinking chops.

Along with all these programmes for students, training and Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) are also conducted. The main aim of these is to develop the skills of the faculty.
