My Darling 4 2021 Memory Lane💖

Well frens, we made it. 2021 was quite a doozy, wasn't it? For all of you who have been reading since the beginning and those of you who are new to My Darling 4 alike, I just want to thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart for joining me on this magical hot air balloon ride 😥💗 This story has blossomed into something I never imagined it becoming, and I have you to thank for making this happen. Ahh I'm in my momo feels today, don't mind me! We're only flying higher and higher this year, but I thought it might be fun to look back on some of the events( with links!) that brought us here. Hold on tight!

•Sulani Wedding

We started out the year with the Coralcho ship a-blazing when they were put into a situation where they needed to travel to Sulani and pretend to be a convincing couple to Coraleye's Sulani friends (and ex-boyfriend) Duane and Shelbi. They staged a kiss that sent Tycho's (and ours, let's not lie) heart into orbit and really didn't feel very staged, did it? 🤔

•Concept's Wildcard

While one Darling was having a steamy vacation in Sulani, another Darling, our sweet Sunglo was having a moment of his own in Britechester. Coni proved to all of us you can't spell iconic without Coni, and made a really surprising (and rather shocking) move on Sunglo, who up until this point, considered himself strictly robot-sexual. He surprised himself by reciprocating the kiss and he and Coni (and Cecilia still!!) are happily together raising his alien baby Aurora, who he later gave birth to that summer 💗

•Mother-Plant Takedown

One of my favorite storylines, this could seriously be a movie 🤩 While Sunglo prepares to give birth, the rest of the group head to Strangerville to end the mother-plant once and for all. This plotline includes danger, suspense, friendship, and tragedy. There are captures and escapes from the military, and acts of love, like when Morgyn comes in last minute to save Coraleye from the Mother-plant's grip, only to die in the process, leaving Coraleye distraught.

•Missed the Sunrise

After weeks and weeks of trying to bring Morgyn back, with Tycho's help Coraleye begin's to accept the fact that Morgyn isn't coming back. Tycho passionately expresses his frustrations with Coraleye and they find themself in a fire-y kiss, which was technically their first (unstaged) kiss.

•Behind Bars

Coraleye learns that Morgyn is actually alive, and was resurrected through vampirism, by the Vatore siblings. When she goes to visit them, they're locked behind bars for her safety. She lets her guard down and falls asleep near them, waking up to find out they're not as in control as they believed.

•Boiling Point

Coraleye returns home, shaken up from her encounter with vampiric Morgyn, only to find that Tycho has packed his belongings and announced that he is dropping out out school to accept a job offer in strangerville as a scientist. He's extremely hurt and angry when he learns that Coraleye went to visit Morgyn, and that Morgyn was resurrected.

•Baby Rosie

Zoe Flores and DJ Drew Aldrich welcome their newest bundle of joy, which the nurse describes as "Redder than a Brick" 9 months after Brick's juiced fling with Zoe during a break with Sawyer.

•"Good Vampire" NYE

After weeks of tension and vampire training under Caleb Vatore's wing, Morgyn finally succumbs to Caleb's seduction, cheating on Coraleye on New Year's Eve.

•Darling Sparrow NYE

Meanwhile, in Glimmerbrook, Coraleye spends her New Year's Eve with family and friends. Erwin connect's with Coraleye's cousin Robin, joking that he's already in love, Owlie and love interest Mekhi share an adorable first kiss, and Coraleye and Mira announce their engagement, not realizing that Starling heard, and doesn't understand it's not technically a "real" marriage.

Okay, so I think we'll stop here. I may need a part 2 😅 There are many many more side-plots and important moments, but here are some of my favorite storylines from 2021.
