“Fake news is a term that has come to mean different things to different people. At its core, we are defining ‘fake news’ as those news stories that are false: the story itself is fabricated, with no verifiable facts, sources or quotes.”
STOP SPREADING FAKE NEWS!
HOW TO STOP FAKE NEWS:
-Report the page who posted the fake articles.
-Report the person who posted the status about the fake news.
-Check the source of the news if it is reliable and legit.
-Do not share the news if you are not sure if it’s true.
-Think and Ask before you click.
FAKE NEWS can destroy our lives. It doesn’t only affect one person, but a whole. before sharing a news, we should be careful. we should always check if it is true because little did you know, in just one click, you are destroying many lives. fake news is a big issue in the philippines right now, and to avoid it, you should be wise on sharing the news to the others. fake news makes someone misinterpret and misunderstood the topic or the issue that is being talked about even if it is not true. It is also our right to know the truth, we should seek for the truth.
“ We go wrong when we don’t admit the unknowable complexity of reality, but we go dangerously wrong when we claim that one pale story—or an anthology of them—is truth.” - Dean koontz

“Fake news” is a term that has come to mean different things to different people.  we are defining “fake news” as those news stories that are false: the story itself is fabricated, with no verifiable facts, sources or quotes. Sometimes these stories may be propaganda that is intentionally designed to mislead the reader, or may be designed as “clickbait” written for economic incentives (the writer profits on the number of people who click on the story). In recent years, fake news stories have proliferated via social media, in part because they are so easily and quickly shared online.
“Don’t believe in everything you read on the internet just because there is a picture with a quote next to it.”  -George Washington

Fake news may seem new, but the platform used is the only new thing about it. Propaganda has been around for centuries, and the internet is only the latest means of communication to be abused to spread lies and misinformation.
Studying social media also gives us a view of the relationships between bots and the recipients of social media promotion on Twitter. This gives us an idea of the scope and organization of the campaigns that attempt to manipulate public opinion.
“Choose to scrutinize every information you get, because some people say things to mislead you and some media houses if not all. Are bought to push and publish certain agendas.” ― De philosopher DJ Kyos
