“Mere words can never express how much joy you’ve brought into my life from the moment I met you…And to finally become one with you in the hopes of conceiving a miracle of love is almost too much for this old magi’s heart to bear…”
Magnus has lived…for a VERY long time.
So long, in fact, that he’d long forgotten even the name he was bestowed with upon his birth.
He’d lived through countless wars and watched again and again as humanity sunk into the deepest pits of depravity and despair before picking itself back up. There’s not much he had yet to see or experience after millennia of existence.
However, that all changed the moment you arrived in Stardew Valley, particularly Pelican Town. As the valley’s designated protector, he knew all the secrets within his territory, and especially the people that went in and out of it.
So, with the arrival of a new farmer who would take up the mantle of her deceased grandfather, someone he’d also come to respect and was good acquaintances with, Magnus had high hopes for you.
Now, if only he knew just how you’d so easily bewitch him with whatever magics you seemed to hide beneath your facade of innocence.
Despite having lived for so long and having experienced being married once before, none of his past experiences could ever prepare him for the force that is simply YOU.
Magnus feels like a young, inexperienced boy all over again as he offers you an extra life elixir he ‘accidentally’ made while brewing an order. His traitorous heart kept beating like a drum as his fingers brushed against yours.
Internally, he chastises himself for behaving in such a way that was unbecoming of a master magic user, especially towards his own (technically) apprentice and friend.
But his carefully crafted walls all crumble to dust when you bless him with such a warm and genuine smile that has his knees practically buckling beneath him and heat crawling all the way to the tips of his ears.
The day you presented him with a mermaid pendant was the best day of his life because it made him feel like everything he’d gone through, the countless years he’d spent alone and wallowing in his own pity, was worth it.
Despite having spent three days with barely any sleep to take care of all the preparations for your wedding, Magnus would do it all over again just to marry you.
The lively ceremony itself isn’t what he looked forward to the most, but having your short nails leaving faint red scratches on his back as you broke in your new marriage bed certainly is.
You looked like a nymph sent straight from the heavens with your hair spread across the pillows and your moans, the sweetest symphony to his ears alongside the erotic squelch of your pussy each time he pushed himself into you as deep as he could go.

My health situation hasn’t improved whatsoever, but I will prevail, damnit!!
I wrote most of this and posted to ao3 early this morning, and haven't had a chance to proofread really. I'll do my best to get that done soon ^.^ Sorry if there are any weird wordings. Also sorry for the complete lack of Seb and Magnus in this one, I hope the shenanigans make up for it <3
Table of Contents + Work Summary
Check it out on ao3!

I hate that stupid, cryptic, blue note I got.
Ever since it came, I think about it every time I check the mailbox, without fail. I don’t want to, I kinda just want to forget it exists, but I just… I dunno. I have a bad feeling about it. A gut feeling. Like, something’s totally up with it. It’s just been sitting in my closet for safekeeping until I decide what to do, though.
For some reason, I’ve been too nervous to bring it back up to Magnus. He’s forgotten it exists, from what I can tell. I think I’ll do my best to keep it that way for now. It feels more like my burden to bear than his, and besides, he’s already got the whole region to take care of.
After today’s confirmation that I don’t have bills or anything important like that, I head inside to get ready to leave the farm. Reeeally hoping my routine will shake out my heebiejeebies.
I got the OK from Magnus to use his fancy shrine for Spirit’s Eve. Got an idea of what I think I want to make myself look like, too. Maybe a tiefling or something. If tieflings don’t really exist, I’m sure some sort of succubi, or imps, or some sort of creature that looks like one’s gotta, no? I suppose I could always fall back on just pretending I’m an elf… man, a tail and horns would be so fun though.
Either way, tomorrow is the big day and I am so ready for it.
I mean, like, almost ready. Whatever.
Today I’m going to Magnus’ place to get some practice in. Just a precautionary measure to try not to, like, blow myself up or something.
I’m gonna keep my outfit cozy and easy to move around in, but I have half a mind to make sure I wouldn’t mind losing these clothes in particular if something goes wrong with the transformation. Just some leggings, some crew-cut socks, an old hoodie, and my favorite boots, since I won’t have my shoes on in the shrine anyway. All of it is in black. Sebastian cosplay.
I’ll pop my red studs in too, gotta commit to the bit. I haven’t had time to talk to The Emo and see if he actually did get his shit pierced last night, but assuming he did, and assuming he was able to use these for it, I wanna go all out, baby.
Now, before I head to the tower, I’ve got some errands to run around town. I woke up a bit late so there’s gonna be more people out than I’m looking forward to, but hopefully I have no creepy Alex encounters or awkward conversations with Shane again.
I promised Sam I’d visit him at work sometime soon, so I might as well head there first. He hates it there, and it’s been a while since we’ve caught up, so I’ll hopefully be a welcome distraction. I’ll bring him a coffee too to keep his spirits high.
After it’s done brewing, I grab two foam cups and pour the coffee in. Knowing Sam, he probably needs this stuff sweet, and I’m in the mood for sweet too, so I pour in a bunch of vanilla-flavored creamer. To make the beverages ~gourmet,~ I add a little whipped cream to each, as well as a light drizzle of chocolate syrup. After securing the plastic lids and giving Cannoli some well-deserved love, I head out.
While I pass by the bus stop, I make eye contact with Pam. I’ve never spoken to her, but… I dunno. I can’t tell if I like her or not. She gives me a nasty stink eye and I can only further assume she’s as mean as she outwardly appears. Unless she was just cursed with an intense resting bitch face...
I smile Pam’s way anyway. She doesn’t smile back, but that’s okay. It doesn’t benefit anyone to be so judgemental of her.
I pass a few local moms once I make it to the town square. None really mind me, which could mean they either didn’t notice, or they don’t care. Either is fine by me. I don’t hear what they’re saying, but Caroline talks very animatedly just before the rest of the group bursts into laughter.
I turn my attention back ahead as I pass by Pierre’s and nearly bump into Marnie as she’s leaving the shop.
We both squeak out a little “Oh!” before apologizing in unison.
“I wasn’t really paying attention,” I double down.
“Oh, that’s fine. I rarely ever am!” She then motions to the two cups in my hands and adds, laughing, “At least the coffee’s safe!”
I awkwardly nod in agreement. Then, a brief flash of myself actually spilling coffee somewhere down the road raids my mind, my necklace tingling against my skin and my fingers practically buzzing.
Great.
“Everything alright, sweetie?”
That probably looked weird. “Yeah, sorry,” I try to recover, “just sleepy today!”
I take a sip of coffee to emphasize my point. Plus, I might as well drink what I can before these puppies go down. Hopefully I’ll be able to save at least one of them when the time comes.
“Aw, I’m sorry to hear that!” She puts a gentle hand on my shoulder. “I need to get back to the shop, but take it easy and don’t overwork yourself, you hear?”
I nod, thanking her and waving her off with a shy grin before I continue moving. Once I get closer to the spot I’m supposed to be spilling these drinks — just before that little bridge over the river by JojaMart — I begin to walk more cautiously. If I can just keep these steady and focus on the ground…
A sneeze creeps up on me. Oh god. Oh god oh fuck oh no.
Just as I’m beginning to carefully place one of the cups on the side of the bridge for safe keeping, the sneeze forces its way out of me. Luckily, one beverage — the one I hadn’t drank from yet — stays safely in my hand. Unluckily, the one I was working on trying to keep safe fell to the stones at my feet, opening up and dispersing its contents fucking everywhere.
God damnit.
“Nice one.”
God fucking damnit.
I look up to the voice. It turns out Shane’s outside having a smoke. He’s at the opposite end of the bridge watching my clumsiness unfold with an aloof look about him. He’s bent over to lean on the stone wall, his right elbow propped up and his corresponding cheek in his palm. His left forearm is flat against the structure while his left hand lazily dangles his cigarette between two fingers.
Is that pink nail polish on one of them? I wonder if that’s Jas’ doing.
I merely groan back my response, picking up the now-empty cup to discard in the trash bin near the store. As I proceed on my walk of shame past Shane, I point out, “At least my clothes stayed safe.”
Shane follows and asks, “How many ants do you think you murdered with that accident?”
I grin a little at his dry humor. “Oh it was a massacre,” I bounce back. “The war in Gotoro pales in comparison.”
“Ha!” Oh my god, I made Shane — the grumpiest fuck I’ve ever met — laugh?! “Right on. Seems like pointless violence anyway.”
I turn to see if I can catch him smiling for the first time, like, ever. It’s not there anymore, but there’s a residual brightness in his features.
Shane snuffs out his cig on the ashtray built into the garbage’s lid, abandoning it there before shoving his hands in the pockets of his bright blue shorts.
“Those sons’a bitches,” he nods in the direction of my carnage, “they had it coming.”
My nose scrunches as I laugh a little, giving him a funny look. “Damn, what’d they do to you?”
There’s a playful glint in his eye, as he deadpans me. “Exist.”
I shrug and nod — I get it, they can be pretty annoying! — and follow the man as he makes his way through the white-rimmed, glass-centered automatic doors. I try not to cringe outwardly at how many self-righteous pro-Joja fliers are on them.
Shane stops a few steps into the store. Turns around. I stop too and look up, tilting my head. What’re you looking at, punk? I think to myself. Dunno if I’d be pushing my limits by trying to say it out loud. Better not.
Shane gives me a weird look too, but I can barely see it. My senses are taking their damn time getting used to the obnoxiously fluorescent lighting.
“Don’t you shop at Pierre’s?” Shane wonders out loud.
I blink a few times as I adjust to the environment and then nod. “Visiting Sam,” I explain.
“Ah.” He nods too, in understanding, and then looking the other way he continues, “Enjoy.”
Shane makes his way towards a door to the right of the manager’s office. Says “Employee’s only,” so I’m assuming it’s a break room or something. I don’t miss the incorrect apostrophe, but choose not to linger on it either.
“You too.” He looks back over his shoulder, so I pair my well wishes with a lazy salute.
“Buh.”
…Buh?
I smile. I think he’s warming up to me!
Feeling a tad lost now that I’m alone, I look around before making any advances. Should’ve asked Shane if he knew where Sam would be around now. I dunno how the shifts work around here.
The cashiers to my left — a visibly exhausted red headed woman, probably in her late 30s or early 40s; and a scrawny, scruffy looking teenager, with thick-framed glasses sitting atop his freckled nose — both look miserable.
The boy is boredly leaning against the counter, zoned out on the ground in front of it. The woman looks totally spaced out on nothing in particular. It almost seems like she’s fighting off sleep, too. Poor lady.
The woman and I lock onto each other. She looks away from my face before I can even register it, but I notice her eyes flicker longingly to the coffee cup in my hand a few times after the fact. I peer between her and the beverage twice before I all but scurry away into the aisles. I’m too awkward for this. My only option is to retreat. Never said I wasn’t a coward.
While I venture past the boatloads of boxed, bagged and canned foods in search of the resident dog boy, I observe some of the products. Some don’t look safe for consumption, while others seem like they’d be fun to try as a one-off sort of deal. It overlaps a few times as well. I mean, why wouldn’t I want to try this cereal which very explicitly states on the box that it’s more sugar than grains? It makes me stifle a giggle. I like the brutal honesty.
I stop and stare at it for a sec. Gnawing my lip. Wondering if I should just…
No. I shan’t.
I break away from temptation and trek on. As I reach the end of the aisle, I pan across the back of the store. More shelf-stable products, a small produce section… ah!
Sam looks like he’s supposed to be mopping the floor near the freezers. To be fair, he is holding a mop, and it is touching the floor! But instead of cleaning, he uses the tool as a microphone; singing against the end of the brown wooden handle, both hands passionately gripping it as he bends his torso to quietly belt one part in particular. Sam’s eyes are shut, his bulky black headphones are secured over his ears, and he has not a single worry in the world.
Holding his coffee in both hands now, I stop walking and lean against a nearby shelf. Observing. Waiting. Eventually he’ll have to see me.
He does a little spin move and carelessly bumps into the bucket of soapy water he’s working with, causing it to slosh around a little. Some of it lands on the floor, and some on the pants of Sam’s jumpsuit. Doesn’t faze him in the slightest.
He does another spin the opposite way and nearly knocks over the conveniently placed display of sprinkles that are situated right in front of the ice cream freezer.
I feel like I should probably stop him before something bad happens, but he looks so damn content and so stinkin’ cute that I can’t be assed.
Just as I’m thinking this, he opens his eyes, completely avoiding my direction while he immediately peers over his shoulder. Sam scans around, getting a full view of the proximate areas. It seems like he’s just making sure he’s not about to get caught by his boss or something, if I had to guess.
Eventually he lands on me. We both smile wide, and I triumphantly hold up his (unspilled!!) coffee in one hand, presenting it with a small flourish of the other and a bow of my head.
“For you, my good sir.” I make sure to sound extra fancy, dropping my voice an octave and annunciating my words a bit too much.
He looks around again before meeting me in the middle with a fist bump, completely ignoring my bit. Aw man.
“Hell yeah, thanks dude!”
I shoot some awkward finger guns at him, “You got it, bud.”
“You didn’t make yourself one?”
I sigh, lamenting, “I did…”
Sam scans my face as we share a short silence. Then, the lightbulb almost visibly goes off in his noggin. “You spilled it, didn’t you?”
Pursing my lips, I nod. “I spilled it, yeah.”
“Buuummer, dude.” He pats my head and I sigh, leaning into his touch. I’ll be damned if I don’t still love head-pats, even if it’s been a while since I’ve gotten one. “Wanna split this one then?” he offers, palm still on my crown. At this point he’s just trying to messy me up.
“No thanks, I’ll just grab another later if I’m really craving it.” Not having noticed the trance I’ve been in as my hair gets slowly and steadily ruined — it feels nice, okay? — I finally look up at him, cheekily glaring as I manually remove his large hand from me. I add on as I try to repair the frizzy aftermath, “Sick performance, by the way!”
“You think so?” he beams. Makes me laugh.
“Of course! It looked like you were having a lot of fun.”
Sam’s face is a bit flushed as he takes the compliment, not even trying to hide it; he has a big goofy grin on his face, too.
It drops and Sam looks behind him as a deep voice with a bit of a southern twang booms from one of the aisles nearby. “Samson?”
“Shit, here.”
Sam hurriedly places his coffee into my hand and rushes back near his water bucket, looking around for his manager as he moves. I try to make things less suspicious by pretending to look at some nearby end caps.
I take a peek over when I hear Sam greet the man, “Hiya! What’s up, Morris?”
Crossing his arms and puffing out his chest to try and make himself look mighty, a man in a navy blue suit, a bright red bow tie, and a poorly-applied black toupee corrects him. “That’s Mr. Saxton, son.”
I roll my eyes. Awesome to know the guy running this Joja is just as insufferable as the dudes who work on the corporate side.
Sam puts an anxious hand on the back of his neck, and halfheartedly smiles as he apologizes, his speaking patterns much more formal than before. Poor guy… it hurts to see him having to tone it down so much for this dipshit.
I turn my attention back in front of me so as to give him some privacy. Not sure he’d want me to hear him getting his ear talked off.
This display is full of holiday cards... I might as well waste some time with these bad boys. I pick up one with a cartoon beagle wearing a birthday hat on it, stealing a sip of Sams coffee as I read the pun on the front: “Have a doggone good birthday!” Alright, nice and cheesy start…
I flip the card open. It starts blaring Baha Men’s “Who Let The Dogs Out.” Fucking hell. Jumpscare me, why doncha! I shudder at how tinny the music sounds — likely made worse by its volume — then close the card and place it back in its spot, not bothering to read more.
“Excuse me, miss?”
I peer over my left shoulder, and see that Mr. Saxton is making his way towards me. A vein is popping in his forehead, but he has a toothy smile on his face that screams customer service. Not sure what’s going on and feeling a little anxious about the situation, I don’t answer with words — I just turn my body to him and watch him expectantly.
My eyes flicker to Sam real quick, who’s closer to the opposite end of the freezers now. He’s looking over here though, and when his eyes catch mine, he mouths “Go!” and motions his arm towards the front end of the store. Maybe he got caught socializing or something… wouldn’t doubt that there’s probably heavy surveillance in here. Man.
I look back at Sam’s boss as he says, “I’m going to need you to discard your beverage.”
My brows furrow and I tilt my head. “Why?”
Ah, he’s the asking-questions-is-talking-back type: He huffs a deep breath and tilts his head as if to mimic me, clasping his fingers together in front of his ribs. The smile and vein are both still on his face.
“It is not only unacceptable to bring your own food into a grocery store,” he strains, “but I cannot have you spilling your drink all over our products.”
…I haven’t spilled anything. What does he think I am, some crusty little kid?
Damn, this is bringing out a rage that I haven’t experienced since working behind a Joja desk. I didn’t know I was even capable of it anymore. Must be something about the overstimulatingly bright blues, or the blindingly white strips of lights. Same ones we had above each cubicle in the office.
My anxiety is rapidly replaced with a petty yearn to cause a ruckus as I realize that I don’t work for Joja anymore. I never have to even come here again, actually.
I don’t answer to this fucko! I don’t answer to anyone!
Screw this guy!
Feeling courageous, I put on my own customer service mask as I inquire, “Do you want me to spill this on your products?”
“E-excuse me?!”
I hover the cup near the cards, tilting it a little. Doing a little eyebrow wiggle too for good measure. “It feels like you dooo.”
“I— w-what are you doing?”
Seb would be so proud if he were here. Not sure how Magnus would react, but I’d like to imagine he’d support me too.
Completely on impulse, I bring the cup in front of me and splash a little coffee in the man’s direction instead of the cards’. The now-lukewarm liquid splatters onto the white button-down beneath his jacket and rapidly seeps into the fabric, leaving a light brown, unsightly splotch.
Sick, got him where it hurts and none got on the floor! Less work for Sam!
Making sure my voice is just as cheery as Morris was trying to keep his, I cap this off, “Stop treating your employees like crap and stop treating complete strangers like children, asshole.”
This feels so good. My heart is racing and my pits feel a little moist and I might just end up an anxious mess the second I walk away, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t cool as fuck in the moment. When Leah asked me last week if Magnus ever wanted to go apeshit, it didn’t even occur to me how badly I wanted to go apeshit.
I walk down the nearest aisle as Morris continues sputtering something about me leaving, paying for this, whatever.
Shane’s kneeled down in the middle of the aisle stocking shelves. He faces me for a moment and grins slyly. “That was cool as hell.” Why does this feel so validating? “A woman after my own heart.”
HUH?
I blink that fucking flashbang away — seriously, the last time I saw him he was still being a dick, and today he’s treating every interaction like we’re fully acquainted, if not more, what the heck — as he turns away to scan items onto the shelf again.
“I really didn’t do much…” I really didn’t. Just kinda caused a minor inconvenience for the guy.
My hands are shaking though, so it must be catching up to me.
“That still took some balls.” He glimpses at me briefly and adds, “Y’look like you might cry, though. Get outta here before I change my mind about you.”
I huff out a quiet laugh and steady Sam’s — well, my, now — coffee in both hands. “On it, boss.”

Breaching the Boundaries of his Forbearance
Rasmodius x Reader
Wrote this at 12 am and finished around 3. Some things might not make sense cause of sleep deprivation.
Magnus’ tower door opened as soon as you reached the entrance. A familiar voice you have come to recognize rung out from the inside.
“Ah! Do come in. I was expecting your arrival as usual.”
The disembodied voice sounded a lot more cheerful today, you noted. Wondering if he had something good happen to him recently, you poked your head in and adjusted your vision to the much dimmer atmosphere of his tower.
Various lights of different colors floated above you as usual. It was an oddity of Magnus’ tower. When you asked about it he told you that it was the after effects of the experiments he preformed on a day to day basis.
Remembering that his form of work varied differently each day, you began to understand.
Trying not to distract yourself any further, you stepped into the tower fully and closed the door behind you while also brushing off any specks of dust on your clothes. You didn’t want to be seen with debris on you. The foyer provided plenty of space to prepare before you could see Magnus in his full form.
You felt your cheeks slightly heat up. Why were you going the extra mile to do this anyways?
“Ah, there you are. I was growing curious as to why you took so long to come in.” A masculine voice rang.
You shook in surprise when his voice entered your ears and looked up. Magnus stood leaning against the wall frame a bit of distance from you and had a face that held his usual stoicism, however your observant eye traced a faint curve at the end of his lips.
“Are you alright?” He asked with light concern.
For some reason, he shined a little more brightly today. Gulping down your previous fluster, you nodded.
Magnus chuckled softly and nodded back, now standing up straight and turning to the main room.
“Good to hear. Come now, I wish to show you something I have been studying on.” He beckoned. He really seemed much more vibrant than usual.
His footsteps thudded on the hardwood with you following close behind him. In just a few motions you were at the front of his work desk, a valuable asset to his research and studies.
Strewn across the wooden table were herbs and papers filled with diagrams of a strange plant. You didn’t recognize it.
Magnus reached his hand out to a particular plant that matched the diagrams and held it to you with a tilted head.
“Have you seen these before?”
You shook your head.
Magnus smiled and brought it closer to him. His eyes were studying the plant while also twirling the herb in his fingers, there was a hint of proudness in his face that you were growing fond of.
“These are called spirit poke. It is an unusual and rare plant that grows within the valley. Once in a few decades, flowers bloom from the shrubs and give off powerful effects when consumed. It is a result of the mixing energies from the spirits.” He explained.
You nodded your head along listening closely. It brought you happiness when he went rambling on about his work to you.
“I have been studying these herbs for decades now. They are only native to this valley and haven’t been observed as much, as the previous protector of the valley never took an interest in them.” Magnus told you, putting the herb back onto the table.
He looked at you again with the same smile. His eyes held a glimmer that only you could recognize something akin to joy.
“Today, I have discovered something new with them. If I apply the right formula to a potion alongside this flower, perhaps I may be able to commune with a different type of spirit that I have never come across before.”
You smiled and nodded to his explanation as he went on and on. You didn’t mind, no, not at all.
After all, it seemed that he was always happy to share whatever information he could with you. It was something you had come to expect in your friendship now that you were closer to him.
Just a little bit, Magnus reminds you of a cat who proudly comes back with its hunt, dropping it right in front of you and expecting praise.
Perhaps this was what he was expecting?
Your own chuckle rang through your head. No way, right?
“-If I could acquire some from Castle Village then maybe-“ Magnus paused. His eyes were cast on your face.
A mischievous smile played on your expression. You opened your mouth and spoke to him with a tone of endearment, praise seeping out from your lips like it was easy to give.
Naturally, he was caught off guard.
“You… I-“ Magnus stammered.
He looked away for a moment then returned his gaze to you, clearing his throat.
“T-thank you… for the kind words. I usually don’t have anyone to share this to, as most would be fine with a simple report instead of a long winded explanation.” He said with his eyes glimmering for a short second. The surface of his skin began to deepen in color.
You felt butterflies in your stomach. You weren’t expecting him to react like this.
“And so when I found myself gathering an abundance of these flowers… I was hoping to share them with you. You often venture down the mines, correct?” Magnus asked, an obvious attempt to recover his standing.
He grabbed a spare shrub nearby and held it close, deciding to focus his eyes on it instead.
“You may not need them for communicating with spirits but…” He trailed off, eyes still averted and not on you.
For some reason it egged you on.
You walked closer to him, a breath away. You could almost feel his hitched sigh hit your face from above. A hesitance grew in his voice.
Your eyes moved, his tall form making you raise your head up just to meet him. He gulped quickly and turned his head to the side.
“Um.” Magnus started, backing up slightly.
He was at a loss for words. And this made you feel even more impish.
You stepped forward where he once stood.
“You…-!“ He stepped back again, his face now looking at you with bewilderment and flush. This time he made a larger effort to distance himself.
But you didn’t relent.
You moved forward with the same amount of stride he took back.
Magnus didn’t say anything and surprisingly took a bigger step backwards until-
Thud.
You could see him tilting backwards without control, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape.
A rushing feeling filled your body to catch him, only for you to trip against the books on the floor that he had also, much to his current dismay, tripped on.
Thud.
You were sure black spots dispersed around your vision.
The world was spinning. Your hands hurt from hitting the wooden floor in attempt to stop your fall. The sound of chicks chirping in the coop rang in your ears like a memory as you tried to gather your bearings.
But before you thought of anything else-
“Urgh…” A vibrating rumble from under you bemoaned.
Your eyes hit wide open as soon as you remembered where you were. On who you fell on.
Swiftly and quickly you used your sore palms to raise your upper body up and looked down.
And there he was. Magnus was strewn on the floor with his eyes closed and expression resembling only you could imagine as discomfort and pain. Strands of his hair had fallen on his face, adorning the flush on his skin that you couldn’t tell was either from the fall or your whims.
To your horror, his eyelids fluttered open. His vision landed on you dazingly. Magnus blinked as if he couldn’t remember why he was there in the first place.
Without a moment to spare you used your hands to spring yourself up and landed on your bum. Your face was heated like crazy, a feeling you thought you’d never undergo again since school days.
Magnus kept his repose for a moment, dots mentally envisioned in his head. Then he sat up with great energy and stared directly at you.
His cheeks flushed darkly. The way his mouth looked like it wanted to say something but didn’t caught your attention. Sweat dribbled behind your back.
Maybe you shouldn’t have teased him after all.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. You didn’t plan on having this much effect on him. Yet, when you looked into his purple eyes that had a unfamiliar scarlet in them, you couldn’t help but wonder if maybe…
He felt something for you.
Your feet worked quicker than your brain. Rising up, you quickly strung a long list of apologies to him and started making your way towards the door.
Magnus couldn’t even respond due to your insistence in apologizing.
By the time you reached the foyer, you rushed to the door and sprinted out, making sure to close the tower door behind you.
Magnus looked at the door ahead of him. Then back to his lap.
A silence permitted through his tower.
He… didn’t know what to make out of this.
He really didn’t.
But before he could move and get up, a flash of a the white shrub caught his attention.
Spirit poke.
His fingers carelessly went to grab the stem tenderly, as to not break it.
Magnus raised the flower close to his lips, grazing only the surface of the petals with his breath.
“…”
“You forgot the flowers…”

apologies for my absence- holiday periods are tiring lmao how were they for you? unfortunately we have yet to watch the fnaf movie, as our group is one that is exceedingly difficult to make plans around because we're all busy 💀 but then there's the one guy who doesn't want to leave his house lmao luckily, iv'e been pretty good at staying away from spoilers, so i've got that going for me. on the other hand, i'm planning to go see Trolls 3, and my mother and sister recently went to see the new Wonka movie. Though from what i've heard from a friend, Wonka's no good :// Yeahhh, if i actually commit to the mod, i'd have to learn pixel art and reteach myself code and programming 😭... i used to be somewhat decent at it. oooo yes i love a good choose your own adventure! they're so much fun and i've actually coded 1 of my own :,) it was through Visual Basics though, so the formatting was a bit weird for me lmao if you're going for a visual novel type of look and playability, I'd probably recommend Unity or itch.io? in my experience, Unity is probably easier to use.. theres another website/app i used but i can't recall the name sadly :( if i do i'll get back to you though! i don't have that much of a detailed request this time, but perhaps some fluff and love languages between rasmodius and the reader? or like hcs of rasmodius's evolving interest/thoughts arund the reader before finally getting together? i'd perhaps request nsfw/smut stuff too but tbh i just don't have any ideas 💛 tysmm :D -🔮
A/N: I’m glad you’re okay!! Honestly I’ve been sick these past couple of weeks (I caught pneumonia and had it for a month before going to the hospital. I thought it was a cold oopsies) I haven’t watched anything new recently but I am watching the third season of singles inferno with some friends. And I guess until I can figure out how to make a visual novel I have to write the fic out lmao sucks for me because I think a game would be better but oh well. What can I do? And like always I’ll try to do both!! Check back for the second one!!
Tw: cursing, slight nsfw but no full on smut. Let me know if there’s something I missed!!
Wc: I have no idea! But these are headcanons so 10+ is the goal!!
Sdv Masterlist
Okay so there are five main types of love languages.
Physical touch, Words of Affirmation, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Quality Time.
I would also like anyone reading this to remember that these love languages are how you want to be loved/receive love not how you show love to others.
I do think that Rasmodius is very connected to himself
And by that I mean I think he knows himself very well, or at least he thinks he knows himself very well.
And for a long time I think he probably thought that Quality Time and Physical Touch were his main two love languages.
I mean idk if it’s canon but in my opinion I do think he cheated on the witch with Caroline
And I’m not gonna go into it here because this isn’t about them, but I think it might’ve had to do with that and his own struggles with temptations.
And I also think gift giving is canon for literally every single character in stardew because that’s the main way to befriend someone.
But I think that after marrying you/beginning to date you he realizes that his actual love language is words of affirmation.
While Physical touch and quality time are still very important to him, being with you makes him see that he really does like being praised.
Like whenever you say that he has done something well, or that you like something he has done his heart flutters as if he were a teenager again.
Especially when it comes to his magic
Like I feel like the townspeople aren’t really fond of him
And they never thank him for the things that he does whenever they actually need him for stuff
Like the haunted maze
Like they’re just talking about how weird he is and how he got it done
But they never stop and say anything that’s positive like WTF
So I think he would appreciate whenever you thank him or praise him and it would go straight to his head (which one idk 👀)
With quality time I feel like you get a lot of it after he moves to the farm
Like unless he’s working in his tower, or you’re off somewhere like in the mines
That you’re like together even if it’s spent in silence
And he loves that
Like he was super lonely before even if he doesn’t want to admit it
So just being in the same room as you counts as quality time for him.
And if you’re doing an activity that’s particularly domestic
He’s in heaven like he doesn’t wanna make it a big deal
But baking and helping you around the farm makes his heart soar.
I think in terms of how he shows love i think he would show it in acts of service and gift giving
Like oh you don’t feel well?
Don’t bother going to the clinic he’s just going to create a potion that stops you from getting sick
You’re afab and you’re having bad cramps during your period?
Consider them gone
Look at this thing he got for you
And while yeah this might seem like either a lot of insincere
In his mind and heart this is how he shows that he appreciates you and wants you to live a good and easy life.
If he can make things easier and less stressful for you
That’s exactly what he’s going to do
He loves you and while he loves receiving attention and love he’s kinda crap at giving it in the same way because he just doesn’t really know how
So this is how he does
He’s VERY romantic sometimes and shows it through gifts and services.
Very cute and a good significant other when you get past his rough exterior.

Poly harvey/farmer/Rasmodius
shy nervous introverts? sign me up!!!!!
absolutely crack pair but i've been playing SVE & romancable rasmodius and I feel like they'd get along well
if you disagree with me..well ur wrong. sorry
gender neutral afab reader, pregancy/babies mention cuz these guys are family men!!..not proofread we die like men
You managed to introduce Harvey & Magnus to each other during Spirit's Eve, they were both awkward and cute but eventually found some common ground between Harveys interest in Medicine and Magnus in the arcane
Harvey probably struggled REALLY hard at first trying to talk to Magnus, i mean, both of these boys would struggle, they are both just so awkward and not use to talking to people?? Thankfully they have you for a buffer but u can bet harvey is sitting there stumbling over his words😭
When you propose polyamory to them you set up clear ground rules and make it clear they can set rules with you too, you also made it clear you were ONLY interested in them but if they said no it's okay too..
Harvey & Magnus are probably the LEAST jealous bachelors of the town so I could see them giving it a chance.
They are also the most mature out of the singles in town...
They aren't interested in dating each other but they will get along with each other and probably form a close relationship. I can see Magnus trying to introduce Harvey to healing magic.
Also Harvey will try to give herbal remedies to Magnus for his Insomnia.. Which Magnus has BAAAD... Though he might also try to treat his chronic nightmares.
Though now that Magnus has you guys in his life the nightmares aren't so bad anymore :]
...still has a hard time sleepin tho.
ummm.. both of these guys want kids so I sure hope you want a big family!!
if you choose to carry their kids u bet these guys gonna take care and pamper you right up until the births, nooo doing farmwork in the last few trimesters!! Harvey will be ... heckin stressed to say the least tho. He has to deliver his own babies??? lort...
Of course adoption is a possibility too, they don't mind. Whatever farmer prefers.
Magnus often stays home to care for the kiddos since you and Harvey both have day jobs, so he makes having a big family easier.
They love being dads, they are so thankful farmer for u giving them this chance. ❤️❤️❤️
Both Magnus & Harvey are gentle parents :)

Of course, dear anon! ☺️ Thanks for the ask! 🫰💕

Magnus Rasmodius:
"Well... That explains a lot." Magnus was still in shock, because it wasn't every day that you saw your friend and apprentice turn into a dragon right in front of your own to knock out the Witch with a single spit of fire and make her fly away. The wizard was so struck by this fact of seeing a mythical creature that he forgot about his ex-wife and her intentions to once again try to ruin his garden.
"And what exactly is that?" Their voice hasn't changed in any way, it's still the same Farmer. The huge reptile didn't seem to be worried about hiding at all anymore.
"Such a powerful flow of magic within you that I felt when we first met."
Magnus stepped a little closer, never stopping to gaze into the ruby-red scales that glistened under the moonlight.
"I’m just wondering: why didn’t you introduce yourself from the very beginning that you are not entirely human?"
"Well, how did you imagine that? 'Hello Mr. Wizard, I am a dragon. Nice to meet ya', or something like that?" In a second, Farmer turned back into his human form, and for some reason he scratched the back of his head nervously.
"You're not going to turn me in to the Ministry, are you?"
"If you promise not to scorch my tower and whole Pelican Town all over. And no flying with Morgan," like a child, Magnus threatened the Farmer with a finger, to which the 'not quite human' snorted a little defiantly, but after a moment nodded to the wizard in agreement.
Lance:
Lance had seen many wonders in his adventurous life, but climbing on the dragon's back while waiting to fly was an indescribable sensation. To be honest, the pink-haired man never realised how he had immediately agreed to Farmer's invitation to fly in the Highlands.
*Chuckle* Yesterday, his spouse announces that he is a dragon, and today they already offered to fly together.
Spreading his mighty wings, the Farmer spread out and soared into the sky, cutting through the wind and laughing loudly.
"Hold on tight, Lance."
And he did - wrapped his arms around the dragon's massive neck and held on as tightly as he could, preparing to fly.
"One flight and you'll be forever the envy of everyone who can soar in the sky!" Rejoicing and flapping hid wings louder, Farmer flew higher and higher as Lance looked at the clouds up close and marvelled at how quickly they had gotten off the ground.
It was definitely a day he would never forget.
Victor:
"Dear, c'mon, this is ridiculous! You took the news quite ok, so what makes you think your mom would react any differently?" Farmer would never have thought that his lover would push them through the window of his house like that. As if they were both some teenagers!
"Because - ugh, you're heavy! - Because my mother and I are different people! I want to bring her to the truth that you're not human step by step. So you need to fly away before she sees you."
"Hey, what do you mean, heavy? You hurt my feelings! Besides, Olivia's gonna be fine with it. It's not like I'm a thief or a murderer or... anything bad."
Victor exhaled tiredly and and gave up on trying to push the Farmer further into the window, as Farmer's scaly wings were just getting in the way.
"Let's take it slow. Please, love..." Here we go, Victor's puppy dog eyes again, Farmer thought. After all, this spaghetti lover knows perfectly well that this is Farmer's weakness.
"All right, have it your way, but I can just transfo..." Before Farmer could finish speaking, there was a knock at the door of the room.
"Victor! I heard some noise. What happened there?"
"Oh, Mother is here! Quick, you need to leave-" in a flash the Farmer took on human form again, just as Olivia came in.
"Victor Jenkins! Why is your room such a mess- Oh, Farmer! I didn't realise you had stopped by for a visit! Come on downstairs, I'll make jasmine tea for everyone."
Victor's heart was pounding frantically. His mother would have had to take a sedative instead of tea if she had seen Farmer in his dragon form. At least Farmer had listened to him in time, phew.

Falling Away With You | Ch. 44*
Sebastian x F!Reader and M. Rasmodius x F!Reader
Rating: Mature/Explicit
Chapter Summary: Magnus... prepares you for your date.. I guess.
Author’s Note: WE’RE BACK BABYYYYYY
Thanks so much to everyone for being so patient during my hiatus!! I definitely needed some time to just slow down a bit (and to reiterate from my recent update, things still will be slow! But the time off was nice), and I really appreciate the kindness and support in that decision :3 It means so much to me, I wish I could better express it to y’all.
I hope that this is a good chapter for jumping back into things! I did my best to recap the past few chapters a little bit for those of you who need a small refresher, as well as incorporate a small time skip (like, 2 weeks tops).
If you're not into that, I hope the smut makes up for it <3
As always, I hope you enjoy, and I’d love to hear your thoughts! x Also, please see the comments for another author's note once you finish reading this chapter ^^
Table of Contents + Work Summary
Check it out on ao3!
Prev (if you want to skip my Author Updates(tm), go straight to chapter 40!) | Next
Seb had first seen magic as something spooky and surreal. Nothing more than a new and weird thing that fuzzied up the lines between the fiction he took comfort in, and the burdens of reality. It was a completely understandable take for him to have felt that way, and I had been surprised that he was so chill about introducing it back into his life through me!
That said, I thought he’d still keep it to a minimum.
But!!!
Ever since our visit to Magnus a few weeks ago — again, a visit that held the intention of Seb merely becoming a little reacquainted with the arcane, as we’d both expected him to keep his involvement small — learning magic has morphed into a bit of a passion project for him. A means to become as badass as his magic-wielding OCs and shit. It’s rad as hell. Kinda hot too. I dunno what it is about magic, but it does things to me, dude.
When Seb isn’t programming, and we aren’t spending time alone together, he’s now enthusiastically re-familiarizing himself with his rusty arcane skill set as well as indulging in some new knowledge. And likewise, when I’m not farming, taking care of Cannoli, or spending time with either of my partners alone, I’m honing my rapidly-increasing skills as a mage.
The necklace Welwick gave me has been working wonders for my abilities. Like, I now have that sixth-sense Magnus vaguely talks about from time-to-time, for when something magical is nearby. That could just be a result of my growth as a mage in general, but I think it’s more fun to imagine this little trinket siphoning a bunch of cool shit into me.
Also, clairvoyance doesn’t come to me so randomly anymore, aside from the occasional flash of something in my head! It’s getting a bit easier to tell the difference between dreams and a distant reality during my sleep, too. Similarly to… well, fucking everything else related to magic, I guess, it’s sort of a gut-feeling above all else.
This nifty little thing has also allowed me to practice my psychicism in the way that Magnus always had to resort to. For him to predict the future, he must conduct a spell and perform a weird ritual of sorts. He saves it for when things feel “off,” like when I moved to Pelican town… and for when he gets eager, and wants to know something right then and there. Like when he predicted when I’d be coming over to drink that nasty-ass potion that all but confirmed I’m a mage.
The process requires copious amounts of mana – another reason why he so rarely does it. But because of the extra help from my necklace, as well as my seemingly natural talent as an oracle that I’m assuming Grandpa passed down to me in some way, it doesn’t drain me nearly as much as other spellcasters of my skill level. Even Magnus and Camilla seem to get a bit more nauseated by the process than I do.
Throughout all this, all things romantic have been settling in too; things have gotten much more cozy. At the start of this journey in a polycule of sorts, the concept of openly loving two people in the same room was nothing short of intimidating. Now, it’s as natural as breathing. And while I wouldn’t say it seems like Seb and Magnus are becoming intimate with one another, they’ve definitely been spending more time alone, which makes me happy. Reassures me a bit as well. It’s a nice reminder that I’m not some sort of… I dunno. A selfish hussy. Or something. This concept still feels novel to me in some ways.
Both of my lovers are vague about what happens during their one-on-one meetings. Can’t tell if something’s going on, or if they just know the concept intrigues me, and they agreed to fuck with me a bit. Y’know, get my imagination going, for funsies. I mean, Seb’s crush on the older wizard is still as strong as ever, so I’m secretly hoping that they’re preparing to do some canoodling of their own.
I wish I knew what was going on in those pretty heads of theirs… seems as though mind-reading just isn’t gonna be a thing for me.
Whatever. I’m not bitter.
(Yes I am.)
Speaking of canoodling – I’m headed to Magnus’ place in a few minutes. It’ll be the first time we’ve been alone together in our past few meetings, since Seb can’t make it until later. The poor, emo cave goblin was up working until early this morning. Magnus apparently wants to take me somewhere new today, so it kinda works out, I guess!
After my usual morning routine of farming (the pumpkins feel like they’re taking forever to grow in, but they’re almost there!) and eating, I quickly showered, dried my hair, tossed on some light makeup, and dressed myself. I went for an almost-ankle length, dark and rusty orange, pleated skirt; a cozy and thick, cream-colored, mock neck sweater; and a big, olive-green ribbon to thread around my half-up hairdo. It’s getting to the point in autumn where it basically feels like winter, so I should be safe from sweating too much in all this.
Once I’ve grabbed my satchel and a jacket to complete the look, I make my way outside. The first thing I do upon exiting the building is remember that I haven’t checked the mail yet. I probably should, just in case Magnus or Lewis have anything important for me… ugh.
Unable to resist, I go out of my way a bit first, stomping on some leaves that have blown over from all the trees surrounding my land. Cannoli, who has been outside most of the morning, runs over to join in. I scoop him up with an evil chuckle while he’s distracted.
“Gotcha, punk.”
He meows at me, seemingly pissed, but then purrs after I pat a few smooches onto his head. I hold the little fella in both arms as I open my mailbox with outstretched fingertips. I grab its contents, nudge it shut with my elbow, and sit on the stoop to read what I’ve gotten, with Cannoli staying put in my lap.
“One from Lewis…” I rip it open. “S’just about Spirit’s Eve, nothing major,” I mumble to myself as I shuffle through the envelopes. “Some Joja shit… gross.” I scoff and tear that one in half as Cannoli abandons me, giving me some more space to work with.
The next letter is in a bright blue envelope with deep purple stars outlining it, each twinkling as though electrically or magically lit. I would normally assume based on the fancy casing that this is from Magnus, but it isn’t labeled, which tells me otherwise. I don’t really sense anything, y’know, magicky about it either. Weird.
I stand up and go inside, tossing the Joja ads in the trash and before plopping the rest of my mail onto the table. I sit down and cautiously open the blue one, not wanting to damage the pretty stationary too much. Now that it’s in my hand on its own, I can feel that there’s something other than writing inside of it.
The paper itself is blue, this one lighter and more vivid than the envelope. The ink is a deep indigo and the words look like they were written with a sparkly gel pen. And beneath it all is a tiny, gold-painted walnut, still in its shell.
That doesn’t seem very safe to eat. I toss it across the room to the small waste bin between my bedside table and the door, hoping I make the shot. It lands in with a satisfying plink.
Alex Mullner could never ball like this. He’d weep – no, he’d propose – had he seen such skill!
…Gross. I don’t want that.
After shimmying that thought away, I turn back to the azure note. It reads:
“We can do great things, you and I.
Forage a rainbow shell and leave it in the train station Lost and Found box if you’re interested. I’ll make it worth your while.
I’m counting on you, kid.”
It’s not even signed by anyone… This is ominous as hell. Part of me wants to ignore it, but I’m also kinda scared not to, y’know? What if something bad happens if I don’t comply or find a way to respond? I mean, this person knows where I live, and is likely keeping things anonymous for a reason.
Or… it could be some sorta creepy jape by Sam or something, and I’m overthinking as per usual.
I’ll think about that more later… for now, I just wanna get to my purple-haired boyfriend.
I shuffle through the rest of the mail once more to double check that nothing is too urgent before heading back outside.
_______________
“Oy,” I call out as I enter Magnus’ tower, immediately turning my gaze toward the coat rack instead of looking for him. “Where—“ As I adjust my line of sight, I find Magnus just a few feet away, a cheeky glare on his face directed towards me as he waters his houseplants. “Oh.” I blush, embarrassed by how annoying my loud intrusion was. “Hi.”
Magnus doesn’t seem to mind. He chuckles, places down his watering can, and strides over to greet me. “Good morning, my heart.”
That pet name never fails to get me all tingly, oh my goodness.
Before I can tippy-toe to indicate that I wanna kiss him, he’s already bending down to my level and scooping my face into his hands. I match the action, cupping his rosy cheeks. Unexpectedly, Magnus kisses me hard, causing me to stumble back against the door.
“Mmf!” I squeak into the kiss before meeting his intensity. Makes him smile.
He doesn’t show any signs of wanting to stop, our teeth tapping together a bit as he continues to intertwine our lips and tongues while we find a compatible rhythm. Releasing a palm from my cheek, Magnus grips the door frame behind me before dragging his opposing palm further from my face, weaving his fingers in the hair near my nape. The action prompts a dreamy hum from me.
Yoba. I want him.
As the wizard begins to kiss down my jaw and onto what little neck I have showing, I breathily murmur, “What about those plans you had for us?”
“You needn’t worry about that,” he mumbles against my earlobe, taking his hand away from my hair to lower the collar of my sweater. “We have plenty of time.”
He eagerly dives back down, leaving light kisses and love bites on my neck. My hands weave into his amethyst tresses as I giggle. The sound comes out airy; in contrast, a syrupy laugh escapes Magnus and vibrates against my skin.
“Mag–” A harder suck that’ll definitely leave a darker mark just below my jaw cuts me off. “Ah~”
Smirking against my skin, Magnus prompts, “Go on.”
God, he sounds so smug. It’s so sexy. I subtly shake my head and roll my eyes, a smile never leaving my face. “Nevermind,” I whisper, bringing his mouth back to mine.
Magnus lifts me up in one swift motion as he accepts my affection, carrying me away from the entrance bridal-style. I open one of my eyes to take a peek at where we’re going. As I do so, he pulls away to watch his step while we descend to the basement.
“What’re we doing down here?” I ask, knowing this could go one of two ways:
Either Magnus is teasing the shit out of me, and he’s taking me to his hall of portals so we can go… wherever; or, he simply decided he wanted to get frisky somewhere other than his bedroom.
“You’re a smart girl,” he answers as he nudges the door open with his foot. His irises are like rubies. “I’m sure you’ve pieced it together already.”
“Maybe I just want some confirmation.”
“Maybe you need to practice patience, my dear,” Magnus teases back.
“Maybe I’m just not a patient person, my dear.” Hm… feels weird to call him something other than Magnus or wizard. I don’t hate it, though.
I drown the tinglies in my tummy by hoisting myself a bit higher with the help of Magnus’ sturdy shoulders, leaving a few open-mouthed kisses on his neck. The action prompts goosebumps across his skin.
“Heheh–” I begin to evilly laugh at his reaction, but Magnus releases me from his grip, scaring the everliving shit out of me. “Ack!” He catches me mid-air using magic, allowing me to settle myself down without getting hurt. I glare at him the entire time, pretending my heart isn’t beating a bajillion times per minute. “That wasn’t nice,” I chirp with my brows furrowed, barely above a whisper.
It’s Magnus’ turn for a menacing chuckle as he leads me to the couch where I usually do my studies; the one closest to the western wall of the room.
“I thought you would enjoy the thrill.”
“Clearly you know nothing about me, wiz.”
Magnus’ eyes — which had shifted to their natural maroon again by the end of our short journey — are crimson once more. As we slow to a halt in front of the sofa, the absolute skyscraper of a man cages me in, his hands clutching the purple back piece of the furniture and forcing me to stumble into a sitting position. Wide-eyed and with heat creeping between my thighs, I lean back and look up at my partner.
Then, a sadistic, almost lazy grin creeps across his features while he leans down, moving his hands to grip my sides once his previous stance probably grew uncomfy. He’s almost entirely crouching to level with me.
“I know more than you realize,” he points out. Ominous.
I fidget with my long sleeves as Magnus’ lips draw closer to my ear, his breath on my neck and face sending a shiver down my spine.
His hands slide lower while he kisses just below my earlobe, before continuing, “How many people out there, at this very moment, can say they know precisely what makes you squirm?” His voice is low and gravelly, and he punctuates his sentence by squeezing my hips hard, pulling a sigh from me. Proving his point with ease.
This prick actually waits a moment for me to answer his question, his head still hovering closely next to mine. “Well?”
It takes me a sec to register any form of language until I blink out of my horny fog and respond, “I mean… not many, I guess.” My brain has kinda just blocked out any sexual partners I had prior to Seb and Magnus, given none of them could hold a candle to these men.
The elemental grows quieter as he proceeds, “Alright. And how many can claim they’ve known you far prior to your present lifetime?” His hands drag off my hips, now resting on the red velvet cushions.
The cockiness, greediness, and complete possessiveness of his follow-up makes me shudder. Has me choking back embarrassing sounds and stuff. Makes it hard to speak.
“J-just you.”
“Veeery good.” Yoba, so much praise… my poor kinky heart can’t take this. “In that case–” Magnus brings his face to my view, and manually tilts my head by the chin. After drawing closer, he whispers against my quivering lips, “I’d say on the basis of those two factors alone that I know you better than most, wouldn’t you agree?”
I inhale shakily. He grins knowingly. “Yes…” I could barely hear my own voice. It’s as if Magnus has me under a spell… but he doesn’t this time. He’s just that captivating.
Mirroring my volume – fucking tease – he lilts, “Good girl.” Then, he pulls away, leaving me yearning for more kisses.
Fuck.
Standing upright, he puts out his palm for me to take. My head feels swimmy as I oblige without question, and he replaces my spot, urging me to try to straddle him. Doesn’t work. Skirt’s too long.
“Um… hold on…”
I get up from the half-kneeling position I was in and simply remove the skirt altogether. Magnus chuckles as I struggle to find more words, feeling the hot redness of my cheeks spread down my neck. Why do I feel so shy right now?
Beaming with his brows raised, he claims, “How bold of you.”
“What else was I gonna do?” I quip. It came out meeker than I’d wanted it to, but Magnus pays no mind to that.
He shrugs, taking both my hands in his as I settle back onto his lap. His erection is apparent now that I’m sitting on it. Mmmmm.
“I merely assumed you would roll up the fabric.”
I close my eyes and lean forward further to rest in defeat against his silk, navy button-down, before copying his shrug. He has a good point.
Magnus, sensing my unease, exhales jovially through his nose, before reassuring me, “Worry not, dear.” After unweaving our fingers, he wraps his arms around my waist. “Your haste is more than welcome.”
I grip the fabric of his shirt in both fists and groan into it. “T’still embarrassing though…” I complain, my voice muffled by the fabric.
Magnus moves his hands, now cupping my ass in each one. “Let me shift your mind away from that, then,” he purrs above my ear.
I tilt my head so that my face isn’t being consumed by his chest anymore. “How the fuck are you so smooth?”
“I don’t necessarily mean to be.”
It makes sense, I guess. He’s been around for a thousand – or two, or whatever it is – years. He’s had more than enough practice. “Of course not…”
I sigh. Then, I slip just under his face, leaving featherlight pecks along his jawline. He giggles a bit. “That tickles…”
“Yeah?”
My instinctive laughter comes out menacing and gremlin-like. I attack him with more little kisses, paired with ten wiggly fingers against his sides. And oh boy, I’ve never heard such high pitched or loud noises come from this man.
“C-cease yourself!”
“Never!” I proclaim, nearly cackling at this point. I’ve never seen him laugh this hard, and god, it’s fucking adorable.
I keep myself planted atop him and do my best to dodge his swats towards me as he lays himself down, keeling over. Magnus lets out a snort that puts down my guard for a moment, and before I know it, he’s finally grappling my wrists, taking claim of them on either side of his face. The action pulls me down, bumping my forehead into his.
Magnus winces while I let out a quick and half-assed “Ouch!” before laughing a little more. I rest my face in the crevice between his head and our arms to recuperate. I gotta breathe oh my god and my abs hurt.
When I come back up, Magnus is giving me sort of a funny look. Like, he’s still blushing (eyes included) and smiling, but I feel like I’ve never seen this exact expression before.
“What?”
His lips curl up further before shaking his head slightly and answering, “I… your laughter is so beautiful.” My eyes widen a little, as does my smile. “I love you so much. Come here.”
As the words leave his mouth and before I have a chance to verbally return the sentiment, he’s removing his hold on my wrists and tugging me into a deep, slow, and much more passionate kiss than the almost-feral ones we shared upstairs. It still leaves my tummy fluttering and my heart racing just as hastily.
Once we grow a little more heated, I find myself accidentally grinding against Magnus’ arousal a bit; and once Magnus realizes it as well, his hands find refuge on my butt again, aiding my movements.
Sucks how that weird potion I drank to become a mage made me more athletic and cardiovascularly healthy, but it didn’t actually fix any of my joint issues. Even just this gentle rocking with my legs spread out this wide is making my hips cramp up a bit.
“Sore?” My partner murmurs into the kiss.
“How’d you know?”
“T’was a gut feeling.”
“That sure is a fancy way of saying you were in my head again.”
“Damn.” He breaks, an amused huff escaping him. “I almost fooled you.”
I sit up and very lightly punch his chest a few times. Asserting my dominance, for sure.
After a few hits, I glare down at him, palms pressed against his chest. Magnus glares up at me, thumbs tracing small circles against my sides. He scans my body as he gnaws his lower lip.
This is hot.
He eventually speaks up, his orbs red as can be. “Are you finished throwing your little tantrum?” His usually sweet tone was replaced by something still honeyed, but more gravelly and domineering.
That was hotter. Fuck.
I swallow thickly and nod, subconsciously stimming with one of the lower buttons on his top. “Yeah.”
His eyes drink in my body again. “Perfect.” Next, Magnus tugs me by my hips, giving me a little lift to bypass his arms as he all but plants me on his fucking face.
“What are you–” He cuts me off with a bite to my inner thigh. A heady sigh leaves me.
With his pupils blown wide, he suggests, “This is surely easier on your hips given how much less you need to stretch them, no?”
“I-I guess.” I hide the lower half of my face in some of my hair. I feel so vulnerable. In a good way, but still. I don’t think I’ve ever ridden someone’s face before. I voice this concern into his brain, too timid to say it out loud.
Magnus repositions our forms slightly, giving his neck more comfort as he lets his head lay down flat against the cushion, with a little room to spare between his scalp and the arm of the sofa. I peer back at his legs. His left is dangling off the opposite end of the couch and probably bumping into the bookshelf a bit, while the right is planted on the floor beneath us.
“Would you like to try?” The wizard finally asks as I bring my gaze back to his.
I take a sec to contemplate it. On one hand, I feel weird being so exposed. On the other… How is this really any different from being eaten out while I’m laying down? Some fingers of my left hand are twirling a soft strand of Magnus’ hair. Those on my right are still tangled in my own (h/c) tresses, which continue giving my mouth and chin some privacy.
Despite the need to stim out my nerves, I still nod my answer to him.
After being given the OK, Magnus begins to softly kiss my inner thigh. In between, he orders, “If you want to stop, let me know.”
“‘Kay,” I smile.
Gently, Magnus tugs my panties to the side and lowers me down. After a single, lingering kiss to my lower lips that’s already got my head feeling funny, he spreads me open and licks a gentle, pointed-tongued circle around my bud. I’m instantly turned to putty, it’s a little embarrassing actually. The small grip that I had on his hair tightens, and I rock slightly into Magnus’ proud hum, accidentally throwing him off-track. I shyly meet his view to apologize to him, but before I can say a word, he’s finding a better spot for his tongue.
“Fuck,” I moan, my eyes fluttering shut.
My fingers drop my hair and move to my mock-neck, using that to fidget instead. This feels so fucking good, but my anxieties over the positioning still haven’t died down yet.
I abandon the clutch I had on the wizard’s hair and rest my hand on the arm of the couch behind his crown. With the way his nails are threatening to dig into the curves of my hips, I have just enough leverage to let him lick how he wants to while moving myself accordingly.
The slight change in position startles him, I think — he telepathically checks in with me, “Are you doing alright?”
“Yes, Magnus~” I verbally respond. The way he growls at my enthusiastic reply sends a palpable wave of excitement through me.
With each swipe of Magnus’ tongue, I lose myself further. My hips grind with more confidence, and my sweater-filled hand starts drawing downward on its own, now leaving only my chin beneath my collar. I curse under my breath while he adds some more pressure, and let out a startlingly loud mewl as he repositions his left hand to nearly meet his lips, sliding two long digits inside of me. That can’t be comfortable for him by any means with the way his arm is contorting, but I’ll be lying if I try to claim that it doesn’t feel fucking incredible.
“Holy shit,” I cry.
He moans against my clit. It sends a vibration through me, and I moan as I lower myself a little more, pushing his fingers deeper inside of myself. Is this what people who are able to ride dick feel like?!
“F-fuh–”
“Is it too much?” he nonverbally inquires.
“N-noh god, I love you, y-you’re perfect, Iloveyou.” Each word proves to be more of a struggle to get out as I feel myself beginning to peak. He chuckles beneath me, adding fuel to the fire. “God, Mag~”
I can’t physically move any faster – again, bad joints and all that jazz. He’s the captain now. There’s a subtle pounding in my ears, and I can’t tell if it’s my adrenaline, or blood flow, or whatever, or if it’s something else outside of myself entirely. I pay no mind to it, not caring what’s happening around me. Too fucked-out.
“So close,” I breathe. “Please, I–”
“Wait juuust a little longer, sweetheart.”
I whine in frustration. “W-why?” I ask, just barely above a whisper, looking down while complying by slowing myself to a halt. His eyes crinkle, indicating that he’s smiling, while continuing to lick my pussy and probe in and out of my cunt.
He doesn’t give me an answer.
“Oh, wow.”
Seb does?!
Well, kinda.
I yelp, head bolting up and left towards the source. Standing near the entrance to this room is fucking Sebastian, his dark indigo eyes darker with want, and his grin just as shit-eating as ever.
Magnus still hasn’t stopped.
I look back and forth between Seb and Magnus a few times, my mind racing and chest heaving and throat dry as I can’t verbalize any of the confused thoughts that I’m having amidst what’s happening all around me.
Seb is slowly drawing closer to us. Magnus is working me even harder, as if he’s trying to pry my orgasm out of me now of all times. He can’t curl his fingers much from this position, but he can sure as hell fuck me with ‘em. I try to steady the slight bounce each thrust of his digits causes to no avail.
…Yoba above, did they fucking plan this?!
Magnus coaxes a moan out of me, but my eyes stay trained on Seb. His grin widens and a soft chuckle emits from him as he listens and watches in on the action.
When Seb reaches the couch, he places a palm on the armrest before leaning forward to almost match my height. He then removes my hand from its hold on my sweater and takes my newly-exposed chin between his thumb and forefinger. In turn, I instinctively grasp his wrist, probably squeezing him a lil’ too hard while I try to prolong my pleasure as per Magnus’ orders.
“You said you were close, yeah?” Seb asks.
“Y-yeah,” It comes out whiney, and Magnus picks up his pace. “Fuck.”
My eyes threaten to close, but I keep them locked into Seb’s. I don’t miss the way his view trails down to my tits, clearly a little enthralled by their slight jiggling underneath my sweater. My prior concern morphs into a breathy laugh. I look down to the wizard, and he’s still focused on my face. Reading my every reaction with those sparkly, red eyes. God.
“Please Magnus, I—“
Seb’s grip on my chin strengthens, pulling my view back to meet his. “You wanna cum, yeah?”
“Yes, please, Seb~” Yoba, I sound so desperate. I don’t care anymore though.
“Be a dear and cum for him, then.”
This is so absurd.
Not in a bad way, by any means, but just… holy shit I wasn’t expecting this.
Near-immediately after Seb’s command, I clench around Magnus’ digits, grinding against his taste buds and urging him further inside of me. Probably smooshing his face a little bit with my thighs too. Sorry, dude.
Between his hasty pokes and the delicious alternation between licking and sucking, my high hits me like a fucking train. It makes me feel a bit lightheaded until Seb catches my lips with his own to ground me.
After however many otherworldly seconds of whining against Seb’s tongue and probably suffocating poor Magnus, the feeling simmers away. Once he senses I’ve settled down a bit, Magnus repeats his earlier motion in the opposite direction — he softly repositions me away from his face and nearer to his lap, before wiping my excess wetness from his features.
Neither of them say anything. I look between the two of them, who are approvingly peering between each other and myself.
When I find my voice again, I speak up. “So, like, what the fuck—”
“Before you ask,” Seb starts, “this was mostly coincidental.”
I furrow my brows. “What?”
Magnus sits upright, and just when I’m about to shift some more to give him some room, he scoops me up and repositions himself so that his spine is against the back of the couch while my legs are draped across his lap. I cross my arms and lean my shoulder and head against his chest, waiting for more of an explanation.
“He requested to borrow a book to assist him in falling asleep,” Magnus informs me.
Seb cuts in to add with a slight hand-raise, “Drank too much coffee overnight and figured my own books at home might just distract me too much.”
I nod subtly. “When did this happen?” I ask them both.
“When I got here,” Seb claims, “ready to just steal one anyway.”
Seb and Magnus share a cheeky glare with one another. Seb’s is paired with a menacingly goofy smile. He then wraps around the front of the furniture so that he can sit next to Magnus and behind me. I crane my head so that I’m able to see him, albeit upside-down.
Sebby continues on, while taking advantage of the angle of my throat to murmur against it. “But when I heard those pretty sounds of yours…” he trails off, planting an open-mouthed kiss against my goose-bumping skin. He knows I’ve gotten the gist of it by now.
This lil perv definitely asked Magnus outright if he could come down here to see me in action.
“I hope it hasn’t made you uncomfortable,” Magnus chimes in.
“No, I mean, it was surprising, but like…” I sigh, laying down, my upper body now splayed across Seb’s while my lower body remains on Magnus. I can’t bring myself to meet their eyes as I softly admit, “It was… god that was so cool.”
Both of them chuckle, Magnus squeezing my thigh as Seb scruffs up my hair a bit. I do my best to flatten it back into place, then direct my attention towards the wizard, lazily pointing at him once a thought pops into my head.
“I’ve got a question for you.”
He cocks his head slightly. “What is good?”
God, he’s trying so hard to be ~hip.~ He’s so cute. I do my best not to laugh at him.
“Are you straight?”
“I doubt it.”
He seems to ponder the question further for a moment while I give Seb a sneaky thumbs up. As if to tell him, without a single word shared, “Maybe you have a chance with him too!” Seb rolls his eyes and nudges my hand away, a playful smirk on his face.
I draw my eyes back to Magnus once he continues, “I’ve predominantly had women as partners for as far back as I can recollect, but it’s not as though I’m opposed to relations with other genders.” I glimpse at Seb, unable to hide my mischievous grin. I could never be an actor. “Why do you ask?”
“Eh, just curious.”
“That devilish smile you’re wearing tells me something else.”
Damn, he saw right through me. Who woulda thunk it?
I completely dodge him.
“Don’t worry about it.” I pair the phrase with some finger guns.
“So,” Seb diverts the conversation, “would you mind if I just crash on a couch? That way I don’t have to worry about making the trip back here later.”
“Go right ahead,” Magnus smiles warmly at him. Then, he turns his attention to me. “Are you ready to go?”
I look down at my form. I’m still skirtless, and I’m probably fucking sopping given what just happened. Plus, there’s spit down there too now. Gross.
“Uh. Lemme clean up real quick.” I shakily crawl off my partners and gather my skirt in my arms. “Should I meet you back down here, or..?”
Magnus shakes his head before answering verbally, “I’ll follow you in a moment.”
“You got it.” I turn to Seb, scurrying over to give him a kiss. “See you later, nerd.”
“Yeah whatever.” Rolling his eyes and laughing, Seb pulls me back down with one finger hooked into my collar. After a soft peck, he says, “Love you. Have fun with the geezer.”
Magnus leers over at Seb. “Quiet, child.”
I snort at the exchange. “Love ya too, Sebby.” I part with a two-fingered salute before making my way upstairs.

FAWY Minis | Ch. 5 (Magnus Rasmodius POV)
Rating: Mature/Explicit
Notes: This one’s during the flower dance chapter, as well as 18 and 19!
I never really considered Magnus’ inner dialogue much, mostly just focusing on magicky stuff with him, so I wanted to play around with that. I feel like he’d be a bit insecure, maybe even anxious, when it comes to fitting in, romance, etc. He’s just good at hiding it. I tried to portray that a bit.
Btw, g/n = grandpa’s name. Wasn’t sure if y’all would want a named grandpa or to insert your own grandpa in there, so I kept it customizable to be safe!
I hope you enjoy x
[If you're new here - hi! Please see chapter 18 of the main story (below) for a visual reference to the wizard - I refer to a modded version throughout the fic!! I do recommend you read at least up to chapter 31 of the main story before reading this though, so as to avoid spoilers.]

It’s her.
It’s… it’s actually her.
I’d overheard the discussion of a new resident moving onto Mooncrest during one of my periodic visits to Gus’ kitchen. I’d heard the assumptions — which I now know to be true, given her appearance — that it was going to be (g/n)’s granddaughter.
How could I not have foreseen how significant she would be to me, though?
Oftentimes the spirits give me somewhat of a hint, a little spark of my senses to let me know if something important is happening. Something worth looking into. Something like this, damn it. A wee reminder to not only be more aware of the world around me outside of my work, but to perhaps take the time and effort to foresee what’s to come in my near future.
I feel a subtle vibration in my fingers.
Are they toying with me? Is that what this is?
Feeling the zaps of their rebuttal through my limbs, I come to the conclusion that they are.
But… why wait..?
More tingling.
That was rhetorical, you obviously can’t answer m—
One last buzz, and I feel the spirits’ presence fade. Sigh.
Cheeky little phenomena, they are. I can only hope to ever commune with them in a plane of existence where we can see one another. For now… I might as well be a loon, telepathically speaking with invisible sprites that communicate through touch above all else.
…As though this scenario as a whole — now paying particular attention to not just my potential daughter, but my soulmate as well, all from a row of particularly bountiful bushes — makes me any less of a loon.
I shake the feeling that I’m being strange and that this is probably unnecessary , and I focus on the task at hand. I still am keen on determining whether or not I’ve any relation to Abigail. No use giving up now that I’m here.
My eyes flit to the girl, her hair as vibrant as my own. She’s laughing with her friends, tentatively sipping the punch I saw Pamela spiking with cheap liquor earlier.
I wish I could get close enough to see if there’s any bit of an arcane link connecting us. I desire answers, damn it, not to spend every chance I get contemplating my lineage while hiding just out of view.
I shut my eyes, rubbing them with a thumb and forefinger.
Just when I believe I can calm my high emotions, my mind wanders to another circumstance that’s haunted me for years. Not nearly as many, but I digress.
For Abigail to be friends with Sebastian was not exactly improbable, but it is funny, in an ironic way.
Of course Abigail would befriend my former apprentice. One I was rather fond of, at that.
I observe him for a moment. It’s rare to see him in anything brightly colored, aside from occasions such as this, where it’s a requirement. He looks quite handsome, if I do say so.
Is it silly of me to wonder if he’s ever thought the same of me? Is this just another instance of my insecurities controlling my thought process? Or is that a normal thing to think about, and I’ve merely forgotten, given how long it’s been since my last romantic endeavor?
That’s unimportant, I suppose.
Although… he must’ve had some reason for abruptly halting his apprenticeship with me.
Perhaps to him I was no more than some wretch living in a tower, far from Pelican Town’s main population for reasons unbeknownst to him. He could have asked, of course, but I wouldn’t exactly put it against him to keep his opinions to himself. I mean, look at me. I don’t resemble any of these townsfolk, do I? And of course here I am, spying on them rather than partaking in their activities firsthand, and I spend most of my time in my home when I could be out here socializing, and I’m sure my lack of socialization with non-elementals could be off-putting.
Sure, those who know of me don’t typically enjoy my presence, but…
I don’t know.
God. Now I’m a loon who’s spying and in a vicious pit of self-hatred that I buried myself in from the outskirts of the event.
Lovely.
Perhaps I should go… I’m not being very productive in my research anyway.
I chance one last look towards our newest farmer. I feel another tingle. A pull to her that’s far too tempting to succumb to. As though I want to just leap onto the field and say something to her. Anything.
How do I even go about getting closer to someone I’ve no reason to commune with? Marie worked at a shop, so it was quite easy to befriend her. The others… I had nary a clue where they were or what they were doing. This is an entirely new situation for me.
The farmer’s eyes flicker to mine. I feel the same thunderous commotion in my limbs and my belly as I did when Marie and I first met. God above, this girl has the same bright flush to her cheeks, the same gentle yet piercing gaze… which is… on me…
Oh.
Shit.
My eyes widen, as do hers.
She appears to be just as compelled to gravitate to me as I am to her. She takes half of a step forward before looking around at the townspeople and securing herself back in her corner. Thank goodness. If she were to come over here, it would only draw more suspicion as to why the resident recluse in the woods is staring at all these people…
“I know that look, Mag.”
I let gaze shift to Linus’ as his words resonate in my head and can practically feel my irises’ change of hue. I’ve been caught by him as well. Thank the spirits he’s a friend — he knows why I’m here.
“You do indeed.”
“So, (y/n), huh?”
Is that her name, then? It’s lovely…
“Yes,” I answer.
“Is it an attraction, or do you think she’s..?”
“Absolutely. Both.”
“Better get going before you freak her out, then.”
“As if I haven’t already, you know damn well she’s looking at me right now .”
He grins huffs out a silent chuckle before turning to face the dancers once more. “I’m just saying, you could be a tad bit more subtle, boy. Go.”
I sigh. I can still feel (y/n)’s eyes boring into me as I teleport back home, feeling morose rather than embarrassed.
Later in the evening, I succumb to my desire to more formally meet her and go through the lengthy, exhausting process of searching into the future.
I’m overjoyed to learn that she’ll come to me. That is far less pressure. It gives me time to prepare, too. To look more presentable, or clean, or… I don’t know. I know I can’t prevent the inevitable, but I don’t want to make the process unenjoyable for either of us, obviously.
When (y/n) eventually does arrive, I’m delighted to learn that not only is she an absolutely lovely being inside and out, but she’s magically inclined as well. I use this as a cover for her impulses to visit my tower:
“One may grow connected to the elements — hence, why you were so heavily drawn toward my abode over time,” I tell her.
It’s not entirely deceitful, and the last thing I want to do is scare her by proclaiming that our destiny brought us to this very moment.
I lean into being “old” and “wise” as well, referring to her and other townspeople of roughly her age as “young.” I overdo it though, I believe, as she calls me out on it. I don’t take any issue in revealing my true age given I’d likely be closer to her age — maybe a decade or so older — if I were a human.
I catch her staring a few times throughout our first meeting. I’ve no way to discern whether it’s due to attraction, or if she’s merely judging me, but it piques my curiosity either way. I probe her thoughts a few times for good measure — which (y/n) calls me out on as well, so I know now that I must show restraint. It’s mostly habitual, and I say that much. She understands.
She seems exceptionally sweet and caring. Awfully curious, for sure. A little strange too, but who am I to judge? I’m rather strange myself. And she’s funny, to boot, unless it’s my own giddiness leading me to assume so.
When she leaves, I’m sure to give her a proper send off. Perhaps it’s dramatic, but I’m inclined to believe she enjoys how eccentric this situation as a whole has been. She seemed awfully giddy herself, at times.
“There are many adventures ahead for you and I,” I project before she wanders too far. “I truly look forward to your company, (y/n).”

Shane was right. I was about to cry. As soon as I stepped outside the tears started falling. I had planned to go grab some groceries from Pierre’s and visit Robin to ask a few questions about installing barns and whatnot, but instead I just went to Cindersap and wandered around until I could calm down enough to face anyone again.
In the moment, assaulting a bootlicking Joja cog with some coffee and sass felt so freeing. Afterwards… I can’t help but think, why did I do that? I’ve never really snapped at anyone before, and the first time I do it’s a total stranger? Even if he is a dick, and even if maybe he did deserve it for whatever reason, I still can’t help but feel guilty.
Don’t even know if I’ll ever be able to face Morris again. I guess I won’t be visiting Sam there anymore.
As I pad through the crunchy fallen leaves, sniffling up a storm between sips of coffee due to the emotions and chilly air, I just try to focus on what’s ahead in an attempt to relax a bit.
Like, Spirit’s Eve is gonna be a blast. I’ve got that going for me at least. I’ll have a chance to meet that shadow person Magnus is friends with too. I absentmindedly gain a little pep in my step as I remember that Seb’s and Magnus’ birthday are both in the coming months. I wonder if they’ll want to do anything special.
I check my phone and see a wall of texts from Sam:
Sam > HEY. I snuck out for a bathroom break bc omg Sam > u were so real for that Sam > like holy crud. I’ve always wanted to give morris even a *little* bit of shit and u just did it ur first time meeting the guy
There are a few more messages, all exclaiming about how awesome he thinks I am. It’s just as endearing as it is embarrassing.
I quickly reply to lie and say it wasn’t a big deal and that it’s whatever and that I’m fine, not-lie to promise him we’ll hang out for real soon, and apologize for his lack of a coffee. I then decide to go to Magnus’ a bit early. Maybe he and Seb can distract my nerves, and if not I can at least fill them in on what happened.
I begin nearing Tony Remington Trash Bear. Haven’t seen this fella in ages. He notices me and sniffs in my direction while chewing today’s dish. Looks like a stuffed pumpkin… where does he get these things?
I wave at him, and wonder — now knowing he’s an elemental — if he can communicate with me.
As far as I can tell, though, there’s not a single thought besides his next meal behind those eyes. Good for him, if true!
I slow down and try to speak to him, tentatively holding out my cup. “Uh… I don’t know if you understand me, but d-do you want some coffee?” He glimpses at the cup and I add, “I’ve had, like, half, and it’s cold now, but…” followed by a very meek shrug.
Tony sniffs a little louder and turns away.
“Oh. Sorry.” Guess he doesn’t like coffee.
I take a few more steps. He looks at me again. I stop again, and stare back for a moment before waving.
He waves back oh my fucking god before turning back to his food.
Yoba, Spirits, whoever, what ever, please let this be a sign that today can turn up from here.
My pace becomes brisk as I try to make it to Magnus’ tower faster. I’ve gotta tell him and Seb that there’s a slim chance I actually can communicate with animals, even if they can’t communicate back in a way I can understand.
I wonder if I can learn that. Like, animal-speaking potions or spells have to be a real thing, no?
And, like, with Cannoli, I assumed he could roughly get the gist of whatever I say because out bond. What if I’ve actually been talking to him in a way he can comprehend for months now?
…What if I can, like, translate frogs for Seb someday?
Oh.
Oh my fuck—
I feel giddy at the thought and do a little shimmy to work out my energy. I know if I start jogging in lieu that I’ll probably just trip on a fallen branch or acorn or something — the ground is too covered in leaves for me to see what’s beneath them, save for a few long weeds.
I make it to the tower quicker than I’d anticipated. Outside the door I stomp some mud off my boots, and while stepping in, I hear hushed speaking from the main room. I don’t say anything, not wanting to interrupt if something is important going on. Quietly so as to not disturb them, I remove my coat and shoes and pad through the doorway, sipping my sweet drink.
I stop in my tracks and nearly choke on the coffee at the view before me:
Magnus and Seb are facing each other, their bodies parallel to the side walls and nearest the far end of the cauldron. I can see some of Seb’s face and all of Magnus’.
Seb got his ears pierced! The red studs — I guess they were safe to use, after all — are just barely visible from my view, resting above his gauges. Not sure about the other ear, but he has crossed industrials on this one as well now.
Now, I can’t tell if his ears are pink from swelling or from blush, but it could be both, given how closely Magnus is observing him. Magnus’ hand is tilting Seb’s face up, and he’s heavily inspecting his piercings with a slight flush on his own cheeks, as well as rosy eyes. Only god knows if it’s because of the contact he’s engaging in, or because of how much cooler Seb looks with his new jewelry.
As Magnus tilts Seb the other way, I’m at first ready to assume that Seb did get a few piercings on his other ear too, until I see Magnus practically cupping the younger man’s face. His lips are slightly curled upward and moving but I can barely hear a word he’s saying. The only sound that registers in my ears is the smooth, bassy reverberation of his baritone voice. A breathy laugh comes from Seb in response.
My heart stutters at the thought that they’re, like, gonna fucking kiss or something, until Magnus drop’s his hands, crossing them against his ribs. It’s only as Seb mimics the motion that I notice they’re both wearing black sweaters, both with their sleeves rolled to their elbows.
A Sebastian cosplay convention.
SebbyCon… SebCon? SebastiCon???
No. Shut up.
I make my presence a little more known as I clear my throat and approach my partners, unable to contain the shit-eating grin plastered on my face. Magnus looks over and smiles wide at my presence, seemingly oblivious to how ~scandalous~ that interaction appeared. Seb turns to do the same, more focused on giving me his own silly, smug look.
Whoa. On the ear opposite from the one I had a slight view of, Seb has a triple helix now, as well as a fucking nose piercing, all alongside his red lobe piercing. I can’t hide how frickin’ stoked I am for these, god he pulls it all off so well!
Ignoring their hellos, I scurry closer, my eyes and smile wide as I place my cup on the counter nearby to take Seb’s face in my hands, basically doing the same thing Magnus just did.
“Holy shit, dude!”
“You like ‘em?” he laughs.
I reposition Seb so he’s got no choice but to look directly at me. “I feel feral.”
“Oh my,” Magnus laughs while he observes us.
Still holding Seb’s face, I turn to look at and giggle with the elemental.
Seb brings my attention back by placing a hand on mine and using the other to draw my face to his, dipping down for a quick smooch amidst his smiling. “You’re here early. I just showed up a few minutes ago.”
I nod, pressing my forehead to Seb’s chest and wrapping my arms around him. As he hugs back, I explain, “Rough day.”
Drawing nearer to place a hand against my spine, right above Seb’s hands, Magnus asks, “Did your plans to visit Samson fall through?”
I chuckle, muttering quietly about how formal and old he sounds, and give Seb an extra little squeeze before turning to hug Magnus. “No, I saw him,” I mutter as his arms envelop me. “I, uh,” I press my cheek to Magnus and to get a better view of Seb, “I poured coffee on his boss.”
“What?!” Magnus says, his voice sounding awfully incredulous, albeit amused. The shock is deserved, to be fair. Again. Never really done something like that.
Seb, as I had hoped and predicted, looks so goddamn proud of me. “Deliberately?” I nod. “Holy shit, you badass!”
“Y’know,” I observe, “people keep saying that, but I cried about it the second I stepped out of the store.”
Magnus’ hug tightens so I turn back to him, nuzzling my face into his torso as Seb asks, “Why’d you do it?”
“He was being a dick to Sam,” it’s hard to talk like this so I release myself, standing off to the side to form a little triangle between the three of us, “aaand he scolded me for having my own lil’ treat in the store with me.” I fidget my sleeves while nodding over to the coffee cup on the counter. “That was supposed to be for Sam, I was just holding it for him until Morris left, but…” I shrug.
“Arsehole...”
“Oh yeah,” Seb agrees with Magnus, “the dude sucks. I never really see Sam on the clock anymore just to avoid him.”
“We’ve gotta get him out of there,” I mutter, making my way back to the coffee. I chug the rest before tossing it in the bin nearby.
In the meantime, Seb counters, “Dude’s stuck. He’s not going anywhere anytime soon.”
“Bummer…”
“Mm,” Magnus simply hums. He barely knows who Sam is, this is probably uncomfy for him.
I meet the taller man’s eyes. “Shrine?”
“Of course.”
Magnus and I start making our way across the room, but I stop when I notice that Seb isn’t following. I turn around and notice that he already has a book in hand. “You coming?”
“Nah,” he responds, seeming to search for a certain page in particular. “I’ll be fucking with some potions while you do that.”
“Boooo,” I pout. He tosses up a middle finger with a playful glare, and I throw the gesture right back. “If I don’t, like, die, I guess I’ll see you when I’m not a human anymore,” I add on.
“You better not die on me now.”
“No promises!” I announce as I make my way over to Magnus, who’s patiently waiting by the doorway.
His nose scrunches and brows furrow while he grins, as though he’s holding back a laugh, but I don’t mind the scrutiny; I’m too busy admiring the way his crow’s feet deepen, complementing the sparkle in his burgundy eyes.
Maybe it’s the spirits doing their thing again, but I can’t help but notice how happy and full of love I feel with Magnus and Seb around… how happy they seem with me, and even each other.
Not to be a huge sap or anything, but life is so fucking beautiful, sometimes.
“You won’t die, my heart,” he reassures me, breaking me from my train of thought.
As we make our way downstairs I ask half-jokingly, freeing myself from my stupor, “So I’ll just be horribly mangled if I don’t do things right?”
“Well…”
I look at Magnus. He’s chewing the inside of his cheek and avoiding my gaze.
Sighing, I nod. “Good to know.”
“You’re an incredible sorceress, dear. You’ll likely be just fine.”
“If I don’t fuck up, sure.”
“It’ll be alright, I can almost guarantee it.” As we near the shrine, Magnus turns to me and walks backwards for a few steps, “Besides, just think of the results!”
I experience a fucking war flashback as I remember him having a similar outlook on that potion he made me when we were in our early days of knowing each other. The one that had me keeled over in pain on the ground within seconds.
“This feels familiar…” I mumble, hoping that the scene is projecting into his mind. Based on his lack of a response as he sifts through a tome, I’m assuming it didn’t work.
When his attention is back on me, he nears my side, giving me a run-down as he magically highlights certain parts of the page he has open. I cozy myself into his side, nodding along while I try to keep up. Without halting, he wraps his corresponding arm around me, leaning into my touch.
He really is a wonderful teacher, but sometimes he goes so quickly. I get that it’s just the excitement fueling his speed though. More often than not he bears in mind that, although I fucking rock at this, apparently, it’s still kinda new to me.
After asking him to reiterate a few things — including what types of beings I can become with this thing, none of which include things with horns or tails, god damnit! — before I memorize the few lines of spell I’m to perform and step over to the center of the emblem on the floor.
Before I begin, I ask, “Wait, when you use this you like… hover, yeah?” Magnus nods. “Is it okay that I can’t do that? Do you think it’ll effect things?”
He chuckles and shakes his head, “You’ll be fine on your feet. Or your butt, or knees, or whatever you prefer, really.”
“Alright,” I sit on the ground, crossing my legs and resting my antsy hands against my thighs. “Here goes nothing.”
I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable reciting incantations in front of people, so I whisper it to myself, as I hear Magnus crossing the room — I assume to sit down and read or something, similarly to how I did during his transformation all that time ago — before patiently waiting for the process to take effect.
Once I get the ball rolling, everything starts to feel weird. I feel tingly, mana exuding from every pore of my body. I keep my eyes shut so as to concentrate on the image of what I want to become more effectively, but can still see the faint illumination of an arcane light show through my closed lids.
I’m not sure how much time passes like this. I wind up in sort of a trance-like state at some point; somewhere between being incredibly conscious of the weird sensations coursing through me, and oblivious to the fact that I even exist in my own body. It’s only whenever I stop feeling anything beyond the floor below my ass and my hands on my thighs that I realize the process must be done.
I open my eyes slowly. They widen as I notice first the change in my clothes, then in skin color. It all looks eerily similar to what I’d racked my brain with, and I guess that’s the point, but it still startles me a bit.
I turn my palms up and around, admiring the dusty pink tint of my skin, and the way it almost shimmers with an otherworldly pearlescence under the dim glow of the basement’s lighting.
I take in the deep obsidian of my new pants — made of something soft and silky, with a high and cinched waist to counter the bagginess everywhere else — as I extend a leg outward, tracing the intricate details of the silver embroidery that climb the outer hems.
My top is also very loose, but tucked into the corset-like belt of my bottoms. It’s black; has a soft, sort of cottony in feel; and it’s void of any detail, aside from the wavy edges of its three-quarter sleeves.
I reach my hands to my ears, which are now slightly longer and pointy, then slide my digits through my hair, which feels softer than ever. It’s thick, pin-straight, and long, reaching down to my lower back. I bring a section of it over my shoulder, observing the silvery gray it’s become.
My same earrings are in, at least from what I can feel. Similarly, my necklace from Welwick and ring from Magnus are safely on my person.
I didn’t expect the transformation to be this intense — I thought it would just change my colors around a bit, like how it did with Magnus. The clothes were wanted of course, but I didn’t think I could actually change them too. Was just feeling more hopeful about that than anything.
Damn.
I finally look up and to my left in search of Magnus. He’s sitting on the couch, one leg crossed over the other and a tome abandoned next to his lap while he awe-struckedly rakes his eyes up and down my new form, leaning up from his relaxed position.
I shoot him a big grin and his eyes widen a bit, the faint smile he had prior not leaving his face.
“The fangs were a lovely touch,” he quietly compliments.
Fangs?! “I didn’t even know I did those.” My gaze shifts to nothing in particular while I snarl a bit, tapping my tongue to my teeth. They’re situated like vampire fangs, which is lucky, considering I’m not sure I’d be safe if they’d filled my mouth. These babies are sharp.
I bring my attention back to my partner as he stands, and I meet him halfway. Still the same height as before, which is good. Won’t draw suspicion from anyone who lives around here.
“Is it normal for the shrine to take creative liberties like that sometimes?”
“Eh,” he shrugs. “This seems to happen more with a user who lacks experience — but if it chooses to trust you, it’ll never be an unwelcome transformation.”
I look back at the thing, shrug, and turn back.
“You’re incredible, (y/n),” Magnus grins, tilting my face up by the chin. “Did you mean to do this with your sclera as well?”
Oh hell yeah, it worked!
I answer triumphantly, “Damn right, I did.” It makes him giggle. Makes me giggle in turn. “What color are they now?” Did it work how I wanted it to?
Looking more at my eyes than into them, he mutters, “They match your trousers quite nicely,” Fuck yes, “and your irises are lavender.” Not what I was going for, but I’ll take it! “I must say, it’s strange to see you this way, but you’re ethereal nonetheless.”
“Think it’s too much for when I go to the above-ground event?”
He tilts his head and chews the inside of his cheek while he studies me, before ultimately shaking his head. “It simply looks like you’ve a knack for makeup.”
I begin playing with and staring at my new hair again. “Thank god, this is fucking sick.” I look back up at Magnus, fingers still fiddling with my tresses. I purse my lips, swaying a little as I shyly start,  “Do I have to change back to—“
“Yes.”
“Fuck!”
He laughs, holding out a hand for me to take. “I assume you want to present your new form to Sebastian, yes?”
“Hell yeah, let’s go.”
I grab his hand and we make our way out of the room. Gazing at our inhuman skin tones locked together, I begin to feel a little self conscious. I’m probably overthinking, but I can’t stop the feeling from gnawing at me.
“Uh…” I start, suddenly feeling kinda shy.
Magnus slows down a bit, seeming to sense my worries. That, or he read them already, but he hasn’t said anything so I can only assume he’s trying not to.
“Do you… ever wish that I was an elemental too?”
He slows us to a halt and I shift my vision to meet his own. The wizard looks as calm as ever, if not just a little more concerned than usual. “Of course not, my heart,” he turns to face me. “In fact, if you were one, the spirits may have never fated us together in the first place.”
That’s right, he did mention the whole soulmates thing being in favor of an elemental and human pairing.
I nod, accepting the answer. I still feel a little weird knowing that maybe I’m more (or less, maybe?) attractive this way, but it’s not like I’m a whole new body shape or anything, so I try not to think much of it. There’s no point to it, this is only for special occasions, after all.
“I love you,” he tacks on cheerily, as if to remind me.
Fucking dork.
“I love you too. Sorry.”
Magnus huffs out a laugh. “Why are you apologizing?!”
“I dunno!” I join his chuckles, shaking my head. Never claimed that I’m not a dork too. “Just feels childish to ask you stuff like that, now that I’m thinking about it.”
“It’s only natural such an immense change in your appearance would cause some unease.”
“I guess…”
He does have a point. It’s almost the same feeling as when you don’t wear as much makeup as usual, and someone comments on how sick and tired you look, regardless of your wellbeing; or when you gain or lose a noticeable amount of weight, and people make comments on how much “livelier” or “happier” or “better” you look, regardless of how good the change actually was for your health…
Except I’m doing it to myself instead, like a dummy.
And I haven’t even seen myself yet.
Magnus did nothing to indicate if he likes this change more or less than my original appearance. I’m sure Seb won’t either. He’ll probably just be excited to have a temporary elf girlfriend.
They both love me as I am.
I’ve gotta chill.
Ugh.
Okay. I’m good, I think. Enough spiraling.
I look up at Magnus, who’s patiently awaiting my next move. I wonder if he heard me get lost in my head for a moment there. If he did, he doesn’t say anything about it. I offer a soft smile which he reciprocates before giving my hand a squeeze.
“Are you alright, my heart?”
“Yeah,” I nod, “let’s go.”
When Magnus and I arrive upstairs, we’re hit with a strong smell of marijuana. Seb rarely smokes here. Magnus banned cigarettes — dude hates the smell — but weed is fair game, so Seb brings it out sometimes if he’s extra stressed. Not often, but it does happen.
Must be going through it right now.
Rounding the corner, I see Seb leaning with his palms flat on the nearest countertop, with a tome opened in front of him. Around him are haphazardly placed vials and ingredients. A blunt is lazily hanging from his mouth, and the cauldron is draining behind him, as he mutters the words he reads under his breath with nearly closed lips.
“You good?”
Startled, Seb looks up. His eyes widen at my new appearance and the blunt falls from his mouth. He catches it before it can land anywhere though.
“Oof,” I add casually, “Nice save.”
“Nice, uh…”
He pauses to stare for a moment, leaving the blunt hanging between two fingers like a cigarette. I gnaw my bottom lip and shift around on my feet. His intense scrutiny is flustering me.
“Hah.” Seb rubs his eyes with the digits of his free hand, then keeps them shut with his fingertips against his lids as he continues, “Can’t think of anything witty for a response.”
His cheeks are obstructed by his large hand, but the tips of his ears are a little pink. I glimpse up at Magnus, who has a faint smile on his lips as he watches Seb’s struggle.
“I didn’t expect this, holy fuck,” the emo speaks up.
“Think it’s too much?” I shyly murmur, using my hair as a fidget again.
“God, no.” He looks up at Magnus. Then at me. Then at Magnus again, and back to me, before putting his attention back onto the book. Through a puff of smoke he mumbles, “I’ve never felt so lame in my life.”
Magnus is quick to try to halt Seb’s negative self-talk with a practical solution. “You’re more than welcome to give the shrine a whirl once you’re ready.”
“Yoba knows how long that’ll take.” Sebastian flicks the page below him. “Can’t even follow the directions laid out in front of me without messing something up.”
I nod towards Seb’s blunt, eyeing it as he puts it back between his lips. “Is that not helping as much as you wanted?” I wonder.
Seb sighs, shaking his head. “Nah, it’s helping plenty. I was ready to tear my fucking hair out before.”
“Is there anything I can assist with?” Magnus interjects.
Another head shake from Seb. “No, I wanna do this on my own.”
“At least allow me to speed this up for you,” the older wizard states more than he asks, heading to the cauldron.
Seb turns back and nods. “Thanks, dude.” I catch how his eyes rake up and down Magnus’ body before he turns back to me and does the same. “God,” he whispers, his lashes fluttering as he subtly rolls his eyes back. Then, he rummages in the nearby cabinets for some more stuff.
I snort. “Stressed ‘god,’ or…?” I trail off quietly.
Not sure how keen he is on Magnus knowing what gets him going, regardless of how sexually open we’ve been in conversation.
Seb tilts his head up and deadpans me. I waggle my eyebrows. He gets the gist. He nods.
“Both, then?” I confirm.
He sighs, producing a mortar and pestle. Then, he responds while he places some leaves into the thing and begins grinding ‘em down.
“Both, yeah.”

Falling Away With You | Ch. 35*
Rating: Mature/Explicit
Chapter Summary: You blow Seb lol
Author’s Note: Quick warning, y/n unironically calls Seb “daddy” in this one ^^” It only happens once, and I don’t think I’ll be doing it again, but it felt right for the moment.
For those of you who aren’t into it – Seb’s a super cute soft dom during the scene, which will hopefully make it worth the read!
Enjoy and take care x

After recharging for a bit, Seb and I went back into the market to check out some of the stalls we missed. Mostly the shop-oriented ones, rather than games or the food tents.
I finally got him a cooler ash tray for my place. The tray itself is just made out of some kinda stone; what made it look neat enough for me to snag is that it looks like it’s being held by a skeletal hand made of tungsten.
We got a matching set of earrings too: they’re studs made from fire quartz. Kinda blobby looking, but the color is nice and we thought it would be a good way to commemorate our new fish son. Seb only has his gauges right now, but he’s been wanting to get some more holes poked into his ears, so this helped incentivize that a bit.
Since we got back to his house so late – around 1am – and Cannoli was found safely cuddled up and sleeping with Maru in her bed, Seb said I could just spend the night here. It’s rare I get to do this since I’m usually so worried about leaving Cannoli home alone overnight. Feels weird, but in a good way!
The first thing we did upon arrival was toss Gerard’s new bowl onto one of Seb’s bookshelves – we made a space for it next to his Cave Saga X collection – and transferred the (thankfully still living!) betta in. Then, after a relaxing shower together to wash our days and some sand away, Seb changed into some pajama pants, while I stole one of his tees with a pair of clean boxers. I was just about to cuddle up in his bed when I realized Seb wasn’t following.
“What’re you doing?”
“I still have some work I didn’t get to finish today.”
“Bro!” I frown. “Why didn’t you tell me? We could’ve just done this all another time, or like, did something less time consuming, or something… I dunno.”
“What?” He’s pretending he didn’t hear me. I can tell by the dumb raise of his bushy eyebrows, and the way he’s biting back a smirk.
“I said that you’re a bitch.”
“Ouchies. Ya got me there.”
“Shut up,” I laugh, hugging one of his pillows to myself. “I’m staying up with you, then.”
“Why?”
“To keep you company.” Realizing maybe he doesn’t want the company, I shy away a little, looking down and fiddling with my new necklace. “I-if you want me to. I can just leave you be, if you need it, too.”
I hear him huff out a laugh, and look up to see him eyeballing me. “Get your cute ass over here,” Seb orders.
I plop down at his other PC, shifting the keyboard forward so I can lean on the desk. I have my phone with me, and I could play Toontown or something if I wanted, but I can’t help but just stare at the topless emo for a little bit. At his wet hair dripping down onto his scarred ivory skin; the blue glow of the screen against his slender face and soft muscles; the way he gnaws his lip in concentration, as his skilled fingers zoom across his keyboard.
“Like what y’see?” Seb teases. He must’ve seen me from his peripherals. His cheeks are pink as his eyes flicker between me and his screen.
A blush coats my own face as I nod and lazily whisper, “You’re so hot…”
I’m getting sleepy, but I’m getting sooo horny too.
“Eh, I’m a little chilly, actually.”
“You suck,” I smile.
Hm… suck… The gears are turning in my sleepy, horny brain.
I wonder if he’d let me suck his dick right now.
“I have a way t-to warm you up,” I mumble into the crook of my arm. Way to go, (y/n). Lookin’ like a real expert at pickup-line delivery.
After laughing at my stuttering, Seb asks, “Yeah? How’s that?” The way he purred his words tells me Seb knows how already.
I take a deep breath of determination before standing up and walking over to him. “Scoot over for a sec.”
He obliges, and I crawl into the space under his desk, sorta smushed between his long legs. Seb chuckles, but makes no moves to stop me as I rest my head on his thigh and trace lazy shapes with my fingertip up the side of his hardening length.
“Is this okay?” I murmur, moving on to fully palming him through his PJs. The purple plaid pants are soft and woolen, and smell like lavender laundry detergent. Freshly washed, huh? Hopefully they won’t get too dirty.
I peer up, and licking his lips after a quiet breath out, Seb smiles softly. “Perfect, baby.”
Feeling proud of the effect I’m having on him, I move on, nipping at his clothed thigh while I grip him a bit tighter. Fighting off the urge to plunge my fingers down the boxers that are covering my own lower half, I knead his upper thigh with my free hand.
Once Seb is fully hard, I kiss him over the fabric. Using my hot breath to tease him, I toy with his head a little while my lips “teeth” at the base. His hips are beginning to rock a bit in his seat. I take that as a sign to tug at his pants, and he wordlessly helps me slip them down to just above his knees.
“I have a question,” I state, lightly toying with his balls as I rest my cheek on his thigh again.
“Hm?”
Timidly, I mutter, “How would you feel if I called you a ‘good boy?’”
While I study his face through my lashes and leave light pecks on his leg, Seb pauses his work to think about it. “Dunno,” he eventually responds. Looks a little tickled. “I don’t think I’d really be into it, but you could try.”
Challenge accepted.
I purse my lips, then salute him. Makes him smile. “You got it, sir,” I tack on while resuming my activities. I cup his balls in my palm, knead them a little, and kitten-lick his shaft.
“Mm,” he hums, chewing his bottom lip.
Seb’s eyelids flutter, but he’s still coding.
I think it’s my new goal for him to not be able to do his work while I work.
Maybe I’ll make it up to him with some coffee or a back rub or something, if he wants.
After dragging my tongue up the underside of his cock, I drop back down, leaving open-mouthed kisses along it when I make my way towards the tip once more. I take my time tonguing at the thick, sensitive vein just below the head; peppering it with kisses while I start pumping one of my hands nearer to the bottom, savoring how he feels beneath my fingertips.
The rising and falling of Seb’s chest paired with his deep whimpers and stuttering fingers tells me it’s time to stop teasing.
Slowly, I dip my mouth over his lower head, hollowing my cheeks as I settle onto him. By the time the tip reaches my throat, Seb’s hand has made its way into my hair and started tugging. I moan at the pain. His dick reactively twitches a little.
My eyes are watering as I look up to check on him, and I swear he’d have hearts in his eyes if he could. His heavy lids hood over darkened irises, and a deep flush coats his cheeks. The fingers that aren’t woven into my hair make their way upwards into his and push it back. Exposing his cute forehead, then leaving it kinda still exposed as the water from our shower acts as a crappy glue.
The way he’s looking at me — watching with his full attention, clearly smitten as I stuff my mouth to the fullest degree with his cock — breaks me. The heat between my legs is fucking unbearable.
I gravitate my hand that’s not busy on Seb’s shaft downward, into the front-opening of these boxers, and then bypass my swollen bud to drown my fingers inside myself. My eyes roll shut while I moan around Seb’s girth, and the fist in my hair pulls a little harder.
“So selfish,” he teases.
I open my eyes and pull him out of my mouth, a deep breath escaping me. “Fuck~ Can’t help it.”
Losing myself in my own pleasure, I lean my forehead on Seb’s inner thigh. I match the pace of my hands, pumping him with the same vigor I’m curling into myself with.
“Shit, baby… juuust like that,” my boyfriend moans from above me.
I force my gaze up to him again, and his head is thrown back, his eyes shut while he groans my name through a smile. Feeling bold, I decide to test my experiment out now.
“P-please look at me,” I mewl. Even when I’m trying to be less submissive, I can’t help but sound like the sub of all time. As Seb grants my wish, I run my lips along the side of his length again. “That’s my good boy,” I murmur through soft kisses to his skin.
Fuck. That came out too meek.
“God, (y/n).” Maybe not? As the words left Seb’s lips, they were graced with a wide grin. “That was fucking precious.”
“Mmn— might’ve worked better if I wasn’t fingering myself...”
Seb shakes his head, he tugs my head upward near my roots, then impatiently lowers me back onto his cock. My brows upturn and a needy whine leaves me. I try to emulate what he’s feeling with my fingers, inserting a second into myself.
“I don’t think I’d like it if you’d said it the way you probably intended, to be honest.” He punctuates his sentence with a hushed curse.
Fair enough. I’ll take it. Mouth full and head empty, all I can do is grunt my response.
I ease my eyes shut, trying to focus on using my tongue while Seb begins fucking up into me. I give in to the urges to stimulate my clit while this is happening, using my thumb to toy with it; admittedly, my movements on Seb become a little jagged.
“Keep going, princess.” Moaning through the shivers that title sends across my skin, my eyes open back up, and I try to focus harder on pleasuring my lover than myself. “Gooood fucking girl,” he coos, his eyes stabbing my own.
My lids flutter as I desperately try to keep them open. Wanting to finish – since I’m close, and so that I can focus solely on Seb with a clear mind – I pull my fingers out of myself and vigorously focus them on my clit.
Seb giggles at my loss of all inhibition. “That feel good?”
“Mhm,” I choke out over his dick. I do my best to bob my head along to Seb’s thrusts, but I raise myself off him, gasping for air as my foggy eyes gaze into his beneath upturned eyebrows. “Fuck, I love your cock, daddy~”
Yoba above, what the fuck was that?!
The words just kinda spilled outta me… I’d be more embarrassed if it wasn’t almost ready to cum. I rest my cheek on his leg again as I pump him with the same vigor I’m strumming myself.
Seeming to have liked the name, Seb’s widened eyes roll back for a moment while a husky groan escapes him. “Yeah? Then why’d you stop, darling?”
Suuuch a good point! He’s so smart!
“I-I’m gonna cum,” I explain as his fingertips make their way to my chin.
“Not yet.”
Oh.
As if he pressed a button, I stop moving. Depriving myself in an instant, despite how much it hurts to deny myself the pleasure.
Seb laughs, and the devilish sound on its own makes me whine. “There ya go. Now c’mere,” he mutters, drawing my face to his dick again.
Holy shit this is so fucking hot.
“Hands off yourself.”
Oh my god.
Dejectedly but obediently, I do as he says.
“Use ‘em on me instead.”
I bring both hands up to Seb’s cock, lowering them onto him from the top. My movements are shaky from being cut off, but I’m too hypnotized to care.
Seb’s hand is still on my face as he guides my lips around his tip again. It’s slick and salty with precum. The aftertaste has hints of myself, now that my well-used hands have touched him again.
Brows furrowing and lips curling, Seb coos, “You’re too goddamn pretty.”
The praise makes me reactively hum around him.
“Open a little wider, baby,” he whispers, his thumb stroking my cheek.
When I oblige, he tells me to go deeper, which I also do. I gag a little, but my boyfriend doesn’t seem to mind.
“Mmmshit,” he grunts, his head lazily tilting to rest on his shoulder.
His empty hand curls into a fist and raises to his lips. The other palm trails up my face and back into my tresses, pushing me down a little further onto him.
“You able to breathe?” I nod, doing my best to look up at him. “Atta girl,” he mewls, rubbing a soothing hand along my scalp before taking control over my movements.
I wish I was still allowed to touch myself. He’s so perfect. Knows exactly what to say and do to get me off. Despite not having stimulation, I moan, sending visible goosebumps along Seb’s skin.
I pick up speed, ignoring the soreness in my throat, and choking back every protest from my gag reflex for the sake of Seb’s pleasure. His self-soothing curses and grunts are driving me wild.
“Fuck,” he mumbles, before asking, “Y’want me to cum in your mouth?”
Unable to properly respond like this, I lift my face off his crotch. “Yes,” I breathe. Just as I’m eagerly dipping back down, Seb firmly tugs my head up by my hair. “Ah~”
“Yes please?”
Instinctively, I whimper. He’s being soft, yet so firm.
It’s so cool!
“Yes, please,” I repeat back to him. My voice quivered a bit. My chest heaves and my cunt drips into his boxers as I wait for the ok to taste him again.
Grinning proudly, he nudges me back to where I wanted to be. I make use of my hands, adding pressure towards his base while using my lips and tongue everywhere else.
After only a few seconds, Seb offers, “You wanna cum too?”
I try to hum my affirmation with my mouth full. Comes out as just “Mm” more than anything.
“Use your words, princess. Yes or no?”
Oh my fucking god.
I take him out of my mouth again. A string of saliva still attaches my lips to his cock, though. I lick towards it, closing my mouth on him where the liquid was beading from; gliding a little as I nod, my eyes pleading for him to cum and let me cum too.
Against the slick skin, I beg, “Yes please.” Before the words fully leave my mouth, I’m already planting myself back onto him. Fucking depraved…
“Mmm, good girl.” No matter how many times he’s said it, that never gets old. I’m his good girl. “Go ahead, touch yourself,” he commands.
Almost too excitedly, I tuck my dominant hand back down, getting back to work. Again, I match my grips’ paces. Seb’s head falls back for a moment before his hazy orbs meet mine again. Dwindled down to a slobbery, horny, blissed-out mess, I gasp around him, doing my best to stay focused. It’s not going well.
“Mmm—“ I lift myself up for a moment to get my words out. “P-please can I cum?”
“Fuuuck, baby,” Seb lilts, his cock beginning to twitch in my mouth. He quickly warns, “Yeah, you’ve gotta do it with me though, okay?”
My mouth leaves his length with a pop “Yes, Seb— oh fuck, please, faster!” I can barely wait another second as I urge Sebastian to completion, but luckily, it all unfolds perfectly.
He forces my mouth back on him, moaning loudly while he coats my tastebuds and throat with cum; all the while I tighten around my digits, my thighs closing around my wrist and my muffled voice shaking through the sensation.
Once Seb begins to soften, I have to ease myself off his cock. Jaw hurts a bit, plus I’m all fucked up from my own orgasm.
Regardless, that was amazing.
I lean against Seb’s thigh — heh, it’s a little shaky now — and he soothingly pets my hair.
“Sorry…”
“What for?” Seb quietly laughs.
“Distracting you.”
Rolling his eyes through a smile, he reassures, “I’d need to be fucking insane if I was upset with you for that, (y/n).”
Sleepily, I shut my eyelids, letting out a content sigh too. His leg is comfy…
“C’mere,” he mutters.
I open my eyes and practically crawl into Seb’s lap after scooting his pajama pants back up.
He kisses my scalp, wrapping his arms around my shorter form. I meet his lips with mine, and we share a long, cute kiss; lazily knotting our tongues together as we trail soft touches along each other’s faces and bodies.
I hum against Seb’s mouth before pulling away, burying my face into his neck. “M’so sleepy…”
“Hm.” Testing the waters, Seb brings his arms forward. “I can type like this,” he suggests.
For some reason, the idea of falling asleep in Seb’s embrace while he works makes my tummy flutter and my skin blush. “You sure?”
“Yeah,” he mutters, pressing another kiss to my temple. “I’ll just carry ya to bed when I’m done… or lose circulation, whichever comes first.”
“Work through the hypoxia like a real man,” I tease. A long yawn midway made my voice sound all funny.
“Quiet, you,” he giggles.
And just like that, the sounds of Seb’s live keyboard ASMR and absentminded humming-singing combination lulls me right to sleep.

I'm 5 days into my new playthrough and its been raining for 3 days so i can't activate the community center and meet Razzy 😭
(Attatched: Lucifiel. i tried my best, but i couldn't remember the full description, i should've just done a darker skin tone cuz everything washed out. She's got white hair and yellow eyes and silvery horns and little bat wings cuz i thought it was cute)
Tumblr media
The idea of Lucifiel!Reader meeting modern Razzy suddenly got me into a witing mood so here's some headcanons asdfghjkl:
Lucifiel!Reader who’s found by Farmer’s family in Zuzu City and is practically adopted into their little family. Farmer grows up with the coolest big sister, who’s definitely a magical creature, considering you never grew a day older since you were first found (plus the unconcealed horns, wings & tail of course)
Fast forward years later, farmer is burnt out from her job at Joja and decides to finally quit after finding grandpa’s inheritance. Of course, she can’t uproot her entire life and move to a new place all alone, so big sister definitely has to go with her, esp since you were just chilling at home growing all these magical plants in your little garden with mom & dad
While farmer tries to get the hang of farming, you spend your days helping with cleaning up the various weeds, rocks, and logs that have overtaken the farm. And during your free time, you would explore the valley at your leisure
It’s during your wandering that you find yourself walking close to a mysterious tower in Cindersnap forest, which, according to the mayor, was home to Stardew Valley’s local wizard
A few weeks after you’d arrived, farmer receives a letter from the mysterious wizard inviting her to his tower after she’d come across those weird things in the community center. Of course, she won’t be going to some mysterious magic man’s lair without big sister to keep him in check
The last thing she expects is the sheer intensity of the wizard’s gaze upon you as you faced him within his tower. Despite being the shortest person in the room, your mere presence seemed to attract everyone’s attention all the same
“...I had felt the influx of energies within the valley during your arrival and had even observed you both for quite some time, but…”
Farmer’s eyes squinted as she took in the man’s every microexpression, particularly the way his cheeks blossomed into the same shade of pink as cherry blossoms
“...I didn’t expect that meeting you in person would have me reacting in such an uncouth manner…Forgive me for this appearance of mine.”
Looking back to you and seeing an almost identical expression, farmer fought the urge to grin as diabolical thoughts swirled within her mind at the notion of setting you and the obviously very interested wizard together
The thought of bouncing babies with dark heads of purple hair & your shade of gold or ivory white hair with his shade was too tempting to pass up…

“So you’re just, like, banging them both?”
“Pfft–” I choke on my hot cocoa, which is totally too sugary for me to be drinking with such a sore throat, but Leah insisted I have some.
When I told her I was sick and bored (and stressed by how much Magnus and Seb have been coddling me for the past two days, to be honest,) she shot right over with some homemade shortbread cookies and hot chocolate.
Being much wiser than Seb, as he’s starting to feel a bit under the weather too, Leah arrived with face masks – one for herself, with a forest green gingham pattern, and one for me, a mustard yellow with some autumn leaves speckled around it – at my request. She’s also been keeping her distance. She’s situated at the table, which has some art supplies sprawled around it amidst the cookies, and I’m sitting pretzel-style on my bed, all wrapped in comfy clothes and blankets.
I came clean about my relationship with the two goobers. She’s a close enough friend now that I think I can trust her not to judge – and based on the enthusiasm behind her response, I don’t think she is judging me in the slightest.
This does make it a little harder to imagine how it’ll go once I eventually come clean to Sam, Abby… everyone else, really. Can’t fathom everyone having a positive reaction to it. But it’s super appreciated, of course.
I confirm, “Yeah, I am.” Still laughing, I clear my throat, then add, “Not at the same time, though…?” Drawing out that last word, I tilt my head and squint up at the ceiling, wondering if our situation the other day counts as a threesome. “Well, technically, not at the same time.”
“Damn, alright Aphrodite!” Curling into a fetal position in her chair, Leah complains, “Ugh… I’m not desirable enough to even get one girlfriend and you have two boyfriends.”
I frown, taking another sip of my drink before raising my mask back over my face. “You totally could, Lee, people just suck. Yoba knows I got lucky.”
“You want another partner, then?” she jests back.
Thankful that my mask hides my blush, and unsure if I should interpret that as a joke or not, I chuckle, softly walking around the subject. “God, two people is already a lot to wrap my brain around.”
“Especially those two,” she adds.
During her few attempts to become a spellcaster (which failed quite fucking horribly, actually, there isn’t a single arcane bone in this poor woman’s body…) in the week or so after Seb and I were greeted by her in Magnus’ tower, she kinda got the gist of Seb and Magnus’ silly natures.
It was an odd group for sure, but a fun dynamic nonetheless. And honestly, it’s been nice to have a friend to talk to about magic other than people who do it themselves.
“I’m surprised Camilla hasn’t tried to throw herself into our weird little polycule,” I think out loud.
“Is that the hot witch lady you guys work with?” I nod. “I wonder if she’d want me.” As Leah says this, a dreamy expression falls over her face. She doesn’t even know what Camilla looks like! I wonder what she’s imagining in the woman’s stead.
“She’s terrifying,” I point out. “Super fucking hot, but like…” I finish my sentence with a shake of my head and shoulders. Shimmying out the jitters. “Here, lemme draw her for you,” I offer, placing my cup beside the bed and making grabby hands at the sketchbook near my friend. She tosses a pencil and the book over one by one.
“You think she and Magnus have…?”
I look up as I open to an empty page, and Leah wiggles her eyebrows at me. Not as flawless as Seb and Robin’s signature moves, but still a solid eight out of ten wiggle, I’ll say. She pulls down her mask to take another sip of her hot chocolate.
“Because I mean,” she pulls her mask up, “as freaky as he is… god. He’s sexy, babe.”
A cough-laugh comes out of me. Once I can breathe better, I respond, “Are you not a lesbian?!”
“I am, but I can make exceptions! ‘Labels are for soup cans,’ or whatever we used to say back in, like, the 2010’s.”
After crossing one leg over the other, Leah pulls down her mask again just to smirk at me, winking simultaneously. I cover my face with my hands, nervously giggling into them.
“Good lord,” I mumble to myself. She laughs, and as my view raises, she’s covering her face with the fabric again. I take that as my cue to go on with my attempt to capture Camilla’s beauty. “And to answer your question, she’s tried. He’s not into it, though.” I shrug. “I think his hatred outweighs any desire that coulda been there.”
“He’s so sweet that it’s almost funny to imagine him disliking someone.”
“I always think the same thing!” I laugh, swiping away a few eraser shavings before tacking on, “It’s a secret pleasure of mine, seeing him all riled up like that.”
Through some of her own chuckling, Lee asks me, “Doesn’t he just wanna go apeshit?”
“I’d like to imagine that someday he will. He’ll just, like… give up and deck her in the face or something. I dunno.”
“Maybe a good ol’ slap-and-kiss for good measure.” I love how she said that as if it's a thing.
“I’m just picturing… ok,” I pause drawing again to talk with my hands, “You know that one reaction image of Toad and Yoshi making out completely sloppy-style?”
“PFFT,” Leah nods, snorting. “What, them fighting then kissing?”
I shake my head and elaborate, “In one corner of my brain it’s them,” I hold up my left hand to the side, “and in the other you’re there too, and kinda just…” I hold up my right, and then bring the two hands in front of me, almost like I’m making them kiss, but at a weird angle. “...latched into the middle of them.”
“Like a leech.”
“A horny one, apparently.”
I resume my drawing. Leah adds, “A sex leech.”
“Sex Leech…” I echo. “That would be a great band name.”
“Oh! Leah and the Sex Leeches.”
“Would be mood music, for sure.”
A short silence passes after Leah’s responsive laughter dies down. I make a few additions to the quick, small doodle in my lap, then tilt my head as I observe it, tapping the eraser against the page.
Something’s missing… Oh! I whisper the word to myself as I think it, flipping the instrument around to add her signature artificial beauty mark.
“Here,” I gesture my supplies in Leah’s direction. She readies herself as I toss over the pencil first, then the book. “Doesn’t do her justice, but I tried.”
Leah puts down the pencil before situating the sketchbook rightside up, and I snag my drink, holding it in both hands to absorb some more warmth. I’m not chilly by any means, between all these blankets, Seb’s huge sweatshirt, and the fireplace blastin’ to my right. But I’ll be damned if I don’t try my hardest to sweat out this fever.
Leah’s eyes widen, then she tilts her head to the ceiling and groans. I laugh while she exclaims, “Are you freaking kidding me? I need her!”
“No!” I point at Leah like she’s a naughty puppy or something, and only supporting the gesture, she slinks in on herself a little. I’d like to imagine she’s pouting beneath the mask. “I don’t know what it is about her specifically, but the vibes are horrendous.”
“I suppose if your part– well,” she corrects herself, “ one of your partners isn’t a fan, that’s probably a sign to steer clear.”
I tap my head knowingly. I can see a grin in her eyes before she turns her attention to the book again, staring longingly at the page.
“So does she have any weird colors about her too, or is that just a Magnus sort of deal?”
I shake my head. “White skin – a smidge paler than yours, maybe – and the same hair and eye colors as Haley pretty much.” I pause to cough into my arm, then mention, “She does have pointy ears, though. Can’t tell if it’s plastic surgery or if she has some Elven heritage like Magnus does.”
Grabbing the colored pencils, Leah adds some vibrance to my sketch. “They have surgery for that?”
“Yeah, I follow this dude who does it. Lives somewhere outside of Ferngill, though.” I finish off my cocoa before placing down the mug and twisting my torso to pop my back. “I’ve always wanted to go do it myself, but the recovery period outweighs my desire for cute pointy ears.”
“Your ears are very cute as they are,” Leah compliments cheerfully.
Caught off guard a little, I cover my face again. She isn’t looking, it’s just more of a self-soothing sorta deal at this point.
“Thanks,” I all but squeak out. Leah glares at me playfully. She’s caught onto the tic too, god damnit. “Grew ‘em myself.”
Lee places down the pencil she’d been using and stares down at the page. “Maybe if I show up at Magnus’ place someday,” she suggests, “I’ll just so happen to run into her, and then… you know…” As Leah trails off, she fucking holds up her middle- and pointer-fingers on each hand and slots them together oh my god.
“Leah!”
“Sorry!”
“We really need to get you laid.”
“I really need to get laid, yeah…”
______________
Seb and I both recovered from our illness with enough time to do some last-minute Spirit’s Eve shopping. He’s going to pass on going to Krobus’ sewer party thing — wants to make sure he has enough time to get his work done before going to the town festival — so he’s able to wear whatever he wants. I, on the other hand, am specifically searching for something extra creature-like.
Magnus warned me that shadow people tend to get a little quirky around humans, with Krobus being one of the very few outliers. I’ve gotta disguise myself real good if I want to avoid conflict. Something that’ll help me blend in with shadow people, at least disguising me as some kind of elemental, while also being acceptable for the main event… hm.
Gonna be kinda hard to find something like that at Party City.
“What about this?” Seb mutters, inspecting a cheaply manufactured vampire outfit.
I purse my lips and tilt my head, trying to figure out a way to salvage this. Because sweet Yoba above, Seb would make a sexy vampire.
“What if we just get you a cape, fangs, and maybe some pointy ears, and then try to closet-cosplay the rest?”
“Hmm.” Still turning the package around in his hands, Seb contemplates his options. “I mean, on one hand, I can get corny with it.” He gestures at the costume in his hand. “Commit to the bit, y’know?”
I nod. A fair point, indeed!
“On the other,” he continues, head tilting a little to the left, “I could try some Astarion Ancunín-type shit and get kinda slutty with it.”
I nod again. Both wonderful options. Secretly rooting for the second, but whichever makes him happy will make me happy.
“Oh! Y’know what would work?”
“Hm?”
“If we get your ears pierced before Spirit’s Eve, you can wear those red earrings we got in Calico. Would make a sick bloody effect. Sorta.”
“Oooh, you’re onto something, kid. Just gotta check what material they are, make sure they’re safe for a new hole and all that.”
“I’ll give you a new hole...” I mumble.
“Is that a promise?”
“It’s a threat.”
“A sexy threat.” Seb waggles his brows before returning his vision to the costume he’s holding.
While Seb weighs out his options, I stray a little further down the aisle. “Oh my god.” I practically tear the costume off its hanger and jog over to Seb, holding it out in front of me. “Scratch that. Why be a vampire when you can be motherfucking Wumbus?!”
Seb chuckles, taking the costume from me. He puts on his best nasally, nerdy voice to say, “Um, actually,” then points at the title of the costume on its packaging, and informs me, “it’s a Big Green Wumbo.” Shifting back to his normal speaking voice as I snort-laugh at his beautiful performance, Seb also notes, “But also, no way. Sam would lose his shit if I showed up as Wumbus. That’s his thing.”
“Technically not Wumbus!” I point out, poking his forehead through his thick fringe. He headbutts it out of the way. I take the costume back, wondering aloud, “God, how do they come up with these names? What even is a ‘wumbo?’”
“Dunno. It’s charming in its own way, though.”
I nod in agreement, then shuffle back to where I found the Big Green Wumbo to place it back on the rack it came from. “Wouldn’t feel like shopping for costumes at a Party City or whatever without the vast array of totally legit characters to choose from.” I turn to look at the row behind me, then pick out a knockoff Katniss Everdeen costume. “Oh wow, I sure do wish I could go as this Braided Archer Girl!”
Scrunching his nose and grinning, Seb walks over to me, tucking the vampire costume under his arm. “This wha—“ He sees the one I’m holding and laughs. “So powerful.”
“So fierce!”
“A force to be reckoned with in the, uh… what’s a good alternative to–”
I chime in, cutting him off, my brows furrowed with determination, “Hungry Fortnight.”
“Nah, dude, Fortnight’s too much of a brand at this point.”
“Ah, true…” I continue to stare at the costume. Oh, wait. “The Famine Games?” I suggest, looking up and to my right to see him. I shrug. “The Hungry Games is probably already taken.”
“The Famine Games it is, then. Great work, champ.” Seb holds out a first for me to bump. Instead of punching it back, I high-five it. Makes a dull smacking noise. Sounds less epic than I was hoping it would.
We spend a few more minutes giggling like a bunch of losers over all the goofy costume names in this aisle before moving onto the next. Some honorable mentions: Speedy Blue Rodent (Sonic), Lightning Rabbit (Pikachu), Ruler of the Countryside (Prairie King), and a couple’s costume of Dolly and Jake Skeleton (Sally and Jack Skellington).
Sighing, I look at the new options. Mostly lady-adjacent costumes over here, and they’re mostly labeled with that “one-size-fits-all” bullshit. Even if I were to fit into any of those, I wouldn’t want some lame fatphobe profiting off of it as a result.
I groan. “I wonder what the chances are that I'll be able to find something here.”
Pulling me closer by the waist, Seb suggests, “We could try other stores if we need to.”
I lean into him. “I wonder what the chances are I’d be able to pull off being a fully-fledged elf… like some Magnus-looking elf, y’know?”
“Might be harder, but maybe his shrine could help.”
“Oh hell yeah!” I look up at Seb, my eyes and smile wide. “I didn’t even think to try using that thing, it always seemed like too foreign of a concept. Hopefully he’ll let me.” Knowing damn well I don’t have enough mana to make a long distance call, if you will, I opt to wait until later to ask Magnus about this.
I’ve gotta get home a phone.
“Who’s Magnus?”
Seb and I nearly jump out of our skin, “OH MY GOD!” and “WHAT THE FUCK!” being shouted respectively. We simultaneously whip our heads around.
Again, speaking at the same time, “Mom?!” and “Robin?!” are exclaimed by the two of us. She evilly chuckles a little.
I hold my right palm up to my chest and rest my forehead against Seb’s left arm. “What are you doing here?” he asks.
“Wanted to surprise your father with a matching costume.” I turn my head to her, still smooshing my temple against Seb. Before my emotional support human can interject, Robin adds, “Yoba knows he won’t want to wear it, but it doesn’t mean I can’t force him.” She’s still got a mischievous smirk on her.
“Good luck with that,” Seb scoffs.
“So. Who’s Magnus and what’s this something about a shrine?” his mom prods.
Oh god damnit.
Seb and I look at each other.
“Think it’s time to tell her?” I whisper. I’m horrified. I try to hide it.
“I fucking guess so.”
“Tell me what?” If the woman wasn’t giggling about her own dickheaded nosiness over there, this would be a lot more intimidating.
“Uh…” I mutter.
Shit, who am I kidding? It’s still intimidating.
“Straight to the point, yeah?” Seb asks.
“I guess..?”
In the next breath, I’m saying “Our partner,” while Seb is saying “Her partner,” and gesturing at me. We both look at each other, both sets of brows furrowed.
“My partner?” I suggest, while he counters, “Our partner.”
“This is hopeless,” I whine.
I look at Robin. Her head is tilted and her eyebrows are raised in confusion, her slightly chapped lips slightly parted. I latch onto Seb’s arm and hide my face from her. My anxiousness about the situation takes over. I can practically hear my pulse.
Seb clears things up while I quietly panic. “So like… (y/n) and I are dating, yeah?”
“Uh huh…” Robin agrees.
“Well, she — we’re…? Oh my god.” Seb takes a breath to compose himself.
I look up at him, face coated in a furious blush because oh my fucking god this is so embarrassing. His is too, which makes me feel a little better about it.
“She,” he settles on, “is also dating our friend Magnus. But like, we both know about it. It’s chill.”
I turn to look at Robin. She’s biting her bottom lip and there’s a slight grin curling them up. She’s still very clearly bewildered, if slightly amused too.
I hide my face again.
“God, ma, please say something,” Seb breathes.
“I… wow. Do I know this Magnus person?”
Seb and I both shrug. “So, funny story…” Seb goes on.
“Uh huh.”
“You know that super suspicious-looking tower south of (y/n)’s farm, west of Marnie’s?”
“Uh huh.”
“It’s the guy who lives there.”
“Uh huh…”
“He’s a wizard.”
“Uh huh.”
“He has a shrine that can change appearances.”
“Huh.”
“It’s magic.”
“Uh huh.”
“And that’s what we were discussing.”
“Uh huh.”
“Please mom for the love of god—“
“(Y/n), you little minx!”
I squeak, my shoulders tensing up. “I’m not a hussy, I promise!” I try to assure her from behind Sebastian’s arm. I feel a hand on my head and flinch. Feels small, so I’m assuming it’s hers.
“As long as you’re both happy with this guy, I’m not judging.”
“You’re not even questioning the wizard part?” Seb asks incredulously.
“I’ve always thought it looked like those wizard towers in movies, so no, honestly. It just makes me wonder if he’s… ya know, some kinda crusty, Gandalf-looking dude.” A short pause passes. Robin asks hushedly, “Are you into old guys, Sebby?”
“I– I’m not the one dating him!”
“Suuure you’re not.”
“And you’ve probably seen him!” Seb declares. “Absurdly tall, purple hair, wears cloaks and shit, looks like he’s sick but it’s just his skin color–”
“Oh! I’ve seen him hanging out with Linus, by his tent!”
“Yeah, him!” Seb almost sounds excited that he didn’t have to explain any further. “They’re close.”
“Oh, he’s cute! Are you sure you don’t like him like that?”
“Ma, what the fuck!”
“Not so loud, son. There’s kids… er…” There’s a pause. I’m assuming Robin’s looking around. “Somewhere in here, I’m sure.”
Hesitantly, I turn back towards Robin to interrupt them. “So you don’t think I’m a hussy?” It comes out small and meek. Just like me, right now… Seb snort-laughs and pulls his arm around my shoulders again, pressing a kiss to my scalp.
Laughing alongside her son, Robin replies, “You’ll only be a hussy if you hurt my son.”
She meant for it to be lighthearted, and I know that, but my eyes brim with tears anyway.
“Oh! Oh no!” Robin laughs a little harder as she notices the true state I’m in. “C’mere,” she offers as she holds her free arm out for a hug. The other is carrying two costumes – looks like Morticia and Gomez Addams, or whatever other names this place gave them.
Hesitantly, I let go of Seb and wrap my arms around Robin.
This is our first hug.
This is weird.
A good kind of weird.
Is this what it’s like to have a good mom? I think to myself.
Oh no.
Oh god, no.
The tears start falling after that thought.
What is with me right now?
“I’m sorry I’m being such a big baby...” I defend myself, in an effort to not seem quite as pitiable as I’m coming off, “I don’t do good with surprises, and I really didn’t expect this to happen yet!” I doubt my save is working. Sounds too wet and pathetic.
Robin hands off the costumes to Seb and wraps her other arm around me, bending a little to let me lean into the crook of her neck. She’s not nearly as tall as Seb, at like 5’6” or so, but still tall enough that it’s necessary.
Huh. I think she uses Bearglove too. That, or something similar. “It’s really okay, hun! It’s okay!”
“Thank you…” I pull away, risking showing my snotty, tear-stained face.
Robin’s hands are on my shoulders. I can’t meet her eyes, but she gives me a friendly pat with her right hand.
“Seriously,” Seb chimes in behind me. I turn to look at him. He looks relieved. “Thanks, mom.”
“It’s simply my job to love you unconditionally,” she decrees. “And you make him happy,” Robin directs towards me, poking my shoulder and catching my eyes, “so that means you too.”
Oh no.
Just when I thought I was almost done crying!
I bury my face in my hands.
“Oh gosh,” she laughs. “You’re a mess, aren’t you?”
I nod. “You’re too nice to me…”
“I can be meaner if you want, but that would just be weird.”
“You’re fine how you are!” I agree.
“Are you two done here?” Robin asks.
“I think so,” Seb answers. His words come out sorta like a question, so I nod.
“Why don’t we go grab a bite from that cute diner around the corner? My treat.”
Seb brightens a little. “You sure?”
“Yeah, why not! (Y/n)?”
“Oh! Uh… yeah, sure.” I use my sleeves to try patting my face dry.
“Perfect! Let’s go check out first.” Robin gestures her head towards the registers, which are across the store but within eyeshot. “As much as I dislike capitalism, I’m not about to go to jail for stealing…” She holds up the costumes to read them. Does that thing older people do where they squint and hold it a little further from them. Guess it’s time for her to get some reading glasses! “Beautifully Creepy Wife and her Spooky Doting Husband…? God, seriously?”
Seb and I both laugh. “This place is the fucking worst,” he retorts. “C’mon, let’s go.”
______________
After paying for our stuff, Seb and I hop on his bike to meet his mom at the diner. Seb told me on our way over that before Demetrius and Maru were in the picture, Robin would always take him here after they bought their Spirit’s Eve costumes from that same Party City we were just at.
It’s no wonder he looked so happy about this, that’s fucking precious!
The restaurant is cuter than I imagined it would be, with that archetypal overabundance of tiles and wavy glass windows that the best diners always seem to have. The interior looks like an 80’s and 90’s stereotype of a diner had a weird baby, in the most endearing way possible. There’s pastel pink, blue, and green accessories decorating the place, a black and white checkerboard floor, and a wooden jukebox with rainbow lights along its outer rim near the waiting area.
While Robin talks to the host about grabbing us a table, I people-watch.
A handsome middle-aged dude with jet black hair and a matching leather jacket is nursing a coffee at the counter while trying to rizz up two younger blonde women a few stools over. Seems like it’s working, too. Good for them! In the meantime, the server behind the counter is very visibly eavesdropping, pretending to keep occupied with the glass case of baked goods. He looks impressed.
When we walk past all the booths and tables further in, I continue being a little nosy, taking note of how many old folk are here. Most of them are in groups, some of them are in pairs, and a few sit alone.
One lady with a thick white perm, deep laugh lines, and long crow’s feet, who also seems to be here alone, is loudly chatting with the waitress. They seem to know each other. Maybe that woman’s a regular here.
Once I get a little closer, my hands tingle a little bit and her gaze lands on mine. I notice her irises shift in color – from a deep emerald green to a bright, happy yellow – and my eyes widen. I can’t help but smile, which she mirrors, and we share a nod of acknowledgement before she returns her attention to the waitress.
God, magic is so cool.
Once we settle into a somewhat secluded booth towards the back – with Seb and I on one side, and Robin on the other – Seb begins to lay down some ground rules.
“Alright, so first off.” He holds up his pointer finger. “Nobody can know yet.”
“Well, duh,” Robin shrugs, takes a sip from her complementary cup of water, and then goes on, “Most of the older folk in Pelican Town barely tolerate gay people, let alone non-monogamy.”
“Perfect. Second,” Seb puts up a second finger. His middle this time. “Please don’t try to talk to him the next time you see him.”
Robin practically pouts at her son. “What?! Why not?”
“He likes his privacy,” I chime in.
Seb nods and tacks on, “Yeah, and he’s not exactly wonderful at meeting new people, so he’d probably want a bit of a warning first.” I nod in agreement.
“Aw man. Fine, I’ll keep my distance,” Robin responds, putting down her glass and holding her palms in front of herself to surrender.
Just before Seb can continue, a waitress comes by to take our orders. We all ask for some coffee to start. Then, Robin gets some sorta huge deluxe breakfast combo thing, god damn; Seb orders a bagel, topped with cream cheese, lox, and some greens; and I get a veggie and cheese omelet with some toast on the side. It’s pretty late in the afternoon, but diner breakfast food is the best breakfast food. Glad we’re all on the same page in that sense.
Once the waitress leaves, Seb continues. “Last thing.”
“Shoot,” his mom prompts.
“Please don’t tell anyone he exists.”
“Why not?”
“Privacy again, but also because of the magic.”
I nod, adding, “This isn’t something everyone can just… know about. It can fall into the wrong hands and whatever that way, y’know?”
“Dramatic, but reasonable.”
“Besides,” Seb adds, “we’re only safe from monsters and shit because of him. If anything were to happen because an angry mob of old farts from around town made their way over to his place, we’d all be fucked.”
“What, like, the critters in the mines?”
Seb and I shake our heads. The waitress comes back with our coffees, and once she’s gone, I continue, “They’re all over Ferngill. The ones we have down there, and plenty of way more dangerous ones.”
I grab a few sugar cubes and cream packets from near the window before offering some to Robin. Seb drinks his coffee black, that edgelord, so I don’t bother passing any to him.
While Robin and I fix up our drinks, Seb goes on, “There’s a high-proficiency wizard in most of the higher-populated parts of the country, and each of them are in charge of keeping a protective barrier around the area they’re stationed in.”
“Who stations them, themselves?”
“Kinda..?” Seb looks to me.
I jump in, “There’s like, a whole council of spellcasters that take care of this stuff.”
“So, politics.”
“Basically,” me and Seb respond in unison. We both give each other a look feigning disgust. That’s, what, the third time we’ve said the same thing at the same time today, maybe?
“So are you two involved in it, or is that just his deal?”
Robin squints at Seb, as if to silently tell him, “I’ll be so not-mad-just-disappointed if you left me out of this.” Seb and I look at one another, then at her.
“Oh you are, aren’t you?!”
Trying to take the load off Seb, I defend, “To be fair, I’m new to it, but yeah, kinda. I’m a mage and the council knows about me.” I sip my coffee, before shyly adding, “They might recruit me at some point, actually.”
“Wait, really?” Seb asks. I shrug. “News to me…”
“It’s iffy, but I dunno, Magnus seems hopeful. I’m 50/50 on whether or not I wanna actually do it. Seems intimidating.”
My deflection worked, and now Robin is solely focused on me. Nice. “Wait, you do magic too?” I nod. “Can you magically give me a million bucks?” she jokes, holding out an open palm. I snort, lightly slapping it.
Just after this interaction, our food arrives. Thank god. The conversation diverts here, into some less serious stuff. The weather. Spirit’s Eve. How good the food is. How shitty the coffee is. Et cetera.
When we’re all done eating, Robin insists we all split a piece of one of those giant chocolate layer cakes they had in the pastry case. And while the three of us go ham on it, Seb looks up nearby piercing parlors to go to, considering our earlier discussion.
“Huh. I think this is the one I started stretching my ears at.” He tilts the phone towards me, absentmindedly fiddling with one of his gauges with the other hand.
“All the way in Zuzu, huh? Would you wanna go out there?”
“I don’t see why not. Seemed like a solid crew.”
Robin raises a brow. “You’re not making those things bigger, are you?” I can’t help but giggle at her more official motherly side coming through.
Seb shakes his head, telling her about our cheesy matching earrings, and his Spirit’s Eve plans. She feigns disgust, much like Seb and I did before, but I can see the loving glint in her eye. She really does seem to love us as a couple, it’s super cute.
Seb adds that he might get a few extra piercings while he’s at it, like a triple helix or nose stud or something. He wants more tattoos too, but figured piercings are easier to handle in bulk like this, so he’s gonna hold off on that. While he explains this, he messages the shop in question on Facebook to ask if they do walk-ins. They hastily respond that they do!
Seb clasps my shoulder. “You wanna go out there tonight?”
I wince. “I’m exhausted, dude.” The short-lived panic I endured earlier today took a toll on me. Plus, I harvested a few pumpkins this morning. Those bitches were heavy.
“No worries. I can go on my own.”
“You better drive safe,” Robin warns through a mouthful of cake, pointing her fork towards Sebby.
“No promises.”
I mime Robin with my own fork before adding, “I’ll kill ya if you die in a freak biking or piercing accident.”
Seb chuckles, takes another bite, and then puts his fork down, proceeding to dip each of his pointer fingers into the frosting. He plops a small dollop on to my and his mom’s noses. A declaration of war... which is nullified by the waitress coming back with our check.
I’ll get his ass next time.

Edit: Almost forgot to add, the tower interior is loosely based off how it looks in SVE. It’s much livelier than the vanilla version :’)

I’ve spent the past few days cleaning up a bit, and convinced Robin — with promises of tons of wood and fresh peaches, whenever the fruit saplings have fully grown in — to help me clear out the majority of the trees around my farm. With the exception of a bunch of rocks, which I still need a stronger pick for, the land is pretty much cleared out!
Cannoli has the zoomies, and there’s plenty of new space here for him to play, so he’s having a blast. I take a mental note to toss some ice cubes in his water bowl later — with the wretched sun beating down on us like this, he’s bound to need ‘em.
While I bury a small handful of blueberry seeds in the freshly hoed dirt, I fantasize about setting up a small play space for him, maybe inside the small cave on my land. Could hang some string lights, put a few blankets and pillows in there, some catnip toys maybe… that shit would look cute. I’d just have to figure out a way to get him to coexist with all the fruit bats hidden in there.
The emo man sitting on my stoop speaks up over the soft lofi hip-hop playing from my phone’s speaker, breaking me from my thoughts.
“So… Sebby, huh?”
“What?” I look up, confused, as he puts out his cigarette in the ashtray.
It’s just a plain one I ordered online from Joja (blegh), but I want to commission Clint and/or Emily for a custom and cooler one. If they’re up for it. I know I don’t, like, have to give him anything in return for my sick bouquet, but the idea always pops into my mind.
“You called me Sebby unironically last week. I forgot to ask about that.”
God, I’d forgotten about that. Not, like… the fucking part. Obviously. I mean the ~Sebby~ part. I was having the time of my life, the absolute last thing on my mind was how to address him. I blush, recalling that day.
“Yeahhh, sorry. I didn’t really mean to.”
“You could call me that if you want, you know…”
Having just finished a row of seeds, I flip around to face the next one. “That’s a high honor,” I tease, “You sure I’m worthy of it?”
“You could call me anything with a moan like that, (y/n).”
I roll my eyes and snort at his horny remark and try to come up with something witty, ignoring how secretly proud I feel. “What if I were to call you… I dunno. Shitballs?”
Perfect. Yes. 10/10 idea, (y/n). You’re so smart!
“Then I’d take back everything I just said.”
“Booooo,” I heckle, laughing at his absolutely fed up expression. “What about Bash?”
“Bash?”
“Yeah, like Se-Bash-tian, ya know?”
He hums in thought. “Honestly, I don’t hate it.”
“…What if I pull a 180 and start calling you ‘darling’ and stuff?”
“Don’t push your luck, princess.”
Chills run down my spine. “Mmm.” A low, demonic chuckle emits from Seb at my reaction. A hot one. It’s not helping me simmer down at all. Without looking back to show my annoyance, I respond, “I’d rather finish up the last of this planting than feel things right now, so if you don’t shut the fuck up over ther—“
I’m cut off by a light flick to the back of my head.
“Ack!” I gasp. “Ya creep… your footsteps are so quiet.” I hover my hand over the area that my hat won’t block the sun from, and look up at the culprit.
He doesn’t respond verbally, simply winking at me instead. He kneels down next to me, using his bare hands to work a bowl into the soil. Reaching around to the basket on the opposite side of me, he steals a pack of seeds and gets to work.
“What are you doing?”
“Helping.”
I grin and continue, scooting over to the next spot. “Well yeah, but like, you don’t have to do this. Could just hang out inside or something if you want to. I don’t care.”
“Maybe I want to help.”
I shoot him a quick, cocky grin. “What got you so keen on farming all of the sudden, hm?”
”Don’t worry about it.”
That sounded a little sheepish, almost. His cheeks are looking awfully pink too, but I can’t tell if it’s sunburn or blush. I decide to spare him.
“Fineee.” I sigh, thinking of how the only way that this moment could be better would be if the sun wasn’t so fucking hot today. “Thank you… Bash.”
“Hey, what’d I say about pushing your luck just now? Hm?” Seb scolds while I snicker to myself.
“What?! You literally just said you like that one.” I flick some dirt at him, and he scoffs.
“I don’t like the way you said it.”
“Whatever Bastion.”
“I hate you.”
“You don’t, actually.”
He groans while I snicker, moving onto the next and last row. He follows shortly after, but crouches behind me this time instead of helping. I think he’s feeling needy for my attention, which would be more adorable if I didn’t want to work. His fingers trail along my sweaty back, covered only by a black sports bra.
“Whatcha doin’ back there?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
“Aren’t I, like, a little icky for this though?”
Not looking back, I notice Seb’s shadow, as he shakes his head above my own. “Somehow you’re still cute, all covered in sweat.”
“Gross,” I whine as if I’m not a little flustered by the compliment. “Well, I’ve gotta shimmy over a little, so move,” I add, wiggling Seb’s hands off of me.
I scoot. He scoots too and keeps touching me. This time, his hands are brushing my hips… toying with the waistband of my light blue gym shorts… slipping into the waistband.
“Mmm— You’re awfully distracting…” I breathe out, flustered.
“Fine, I’ll stop.”
I laugh and shake my head as he steals my straw hat off my noggin.
He plops down at the end of the row of soon-to-be crops I’m tending to. When I glance up, I’m not expecting to be super attracted to Seb in a straw hat. How foolish of me. How could I forget that he could look hot in literally anything?
He’s leaning back, propped up on his elbows, watching Cannoli explore in the distance. His short sleeved, black, button-down shirt is fully open, showing off his torso as well as the long chain that was hidden underneath the fabric. Looks like thin, silver barbed wire. Both of Seb’s legs are out in front of him, his right crossed over the left, as his rolled up pants expose some of his calves. His bangs are pinned back too, although that’s mostly hidden now thanks to my hat.
He’s way out of my league. Dude looks so frickin’ cool, without even trying…
Catching me looking, Seb tilts his head, smirks and raises a brow. I look away immediately, bashfully admitting, “You look hot…”
“Didn’t you just shoo me away for ogling?” He squints at my rosy face as I look back down, nodding in defeat. “Back to work, (y/l/n).”
I rush through the last row before literally throwing myself at Seb. I wrap my arms around his neck and straddle his hips, knocking him off his elbows.
“Oh my god you’re so moist.”
I giggle mischievously and respond in the most seductive tone I can manage. “Embrace the sweat, baby. I thought you liked it.” I cut myself off with more laughter.
“You fucking goblin!” Seb growls. He tumbles us over so that he’s on top of me, picks me up with a grunt, and begins to fucking speed-walk towards one of the many ponds in my yard.
“H-hey, easy there buddy!” I try to wiggle from his grasp, eyes wide.
He wouldn’t throw me in, would he?
…Would he?
“Let’s not noT BE HASTY NO—“
SPLASH
_______________
After Seb and I cleaned ourselves up from gardening and impromptu swimming (amongst other things, heheheh), we invited Sam to hang out. I feel cozier having more than one person over at a time, now that I have the seating for it.
I finally got some actual furniture, meaning the cabin looks more lived in. Still haven’t followed through with getting a kotatsu yet, but as soon as I can find one I like, you can bet your ass it’s going right where this table is.
We’d planned on playing some games, but instead, we’ve just been loafing around with cold, sugary drinks and a bunch of snacks Sam brought over from a subscription box he’s trying out. After a short silence, a frustrated thought comes to my mind.
“I wanna be friends with Abigail!” I exclaim, slamming a fist on the table.
Seb silently looks at me with wide eyes while Sam clutches his heart, letting out a big huff.
“That was so aggressive.” Sam sighs.
“Sorry. Got amped.”
“That’s gonna be a lot of work, you know,” Sebastian points out, a matcha flavored Pocky hanging from his lips. “She’s not a fan of most women.”
Sam nudges him. “Especially the ones who take her wittle Sebbykins away from her.”
I wince and mumble, “Gross,” before sipping some lemonade.
While Seb shoves him back, I explain myself. “I know it’ll be tough, but like, I wanna be able to hang out with all of you. Just… you know. Without running the risk of becoming a victim to some weird yandere outrage.”
The two of them nod, Sam adding a shrug and head-tilt of understanding to his.
My attention is stolen momentarily by Cannoli, yelling for a water refill. Stretching my arms over my head and then behind my back, I leave my chair to oblige.
I shout over the running water in the kitchen, “Got any leads for me?”
“Well, she likes video games and food,” Sam suggests.
“She’s super into the idea of adventuring. Not sure if she’d actually be able to handle the mines or anything, though,” Seb adds on.
“Oh yeah,” Sam nods, “She practices with her wooden sword in the cemetery sometimes. Scared the crud outta me the first few times I found her out there.”
Placing the bowl down, I return to my spot, stealing a taiyaki snack from the box as I sit. “Why the cemetery?“ I ask.
“She has to sneak out to practice at night, and it’s close to her house,” Seb says. “Pierre is traditional. If something isn’t ladylike and Abby takes interest, he shuts it down.”
I wonder if her aversion to women stems from an embedded defiance towards Pierre. This isn’t the time to psychoanalyze, though.
“Hmm…” I wonder aloud, “I could try and take her on a secret adventure, maybe. I’ve been wondering about that creepy tower in the forest a lot. Do you guys think she’d be into scoping it out?”
Seb nods, “Well… yeah, she’d love that.” Him and Sam look at one another, grimacing slightly. Ugh. There’s gonna be a catch to this.
“Go on,” I deadpan.
“Do you know how to wield a sword or anything?” Sam blurts out. “Nobody knows who or what is in there. What if you two get hurt?”
“Yes, I know how to use a sword. How else would I be able to visit the mines?”
“How far down have you gone?” Seb questions.
“I dunno, like…” I think for a moment, “5 or 6 floors maybe?”
“Oh, you sweet summer child.”
“What?! For someone who’s never been mining before moving here, I’d say I rock.”
“Was that pun intended?” Sam whispers meekly, as if he knows the reaction he’s about to get.
As I groan out a “No, you little…”, Seb rolls a napkin into a ball and proceeds to hurl it Sam’s way. Sam pretends he’s been shot as it impacts, groaning and dramatically sliding from his chair onto the floor.
Without moving, Sam hums inquisitively. “What if some creepy old person lives there?”
“It’s probably vacant, if the overgrown look is any indication.”
“Nah, definitely lived in,” Seb hastily corrects me. Hm. “There’s a garden just up the steps leading there. It’s really nice, actually.” He shoots me a wink and a shit-eating grin, before adding, “Puts your farm to shame.”
I try to rebut by throwing my taiyaki wrapper at him, but it just floats off to the side, about a foot away from me. Damn it. Hearing Seb snorting at my failure, I opt to lightly kick him instead.
Sam’s head pops into view, his eyes and nose cutely making an appearance above the table. “You’ve gone that close?” Seb nods back. “Isn’t that, like, trespassing?”
Shrugging, Seb answers, “They don’t have any signs telling you not to enter their property.”
“Alright, I have a crazy proposition,” I suggest sarcastically. “Why don’t I just… knock and see if someone answers? Ya know, rather than trying to just go in blindly.”
“If you have a death wish, sure! Go for it!”
I squint at Sam, who’s still on the ground. “A death wish— bro, it’s probably just some shy farmer or something!”
“Whyyy don’t I scope it out before you and Abby try to?” Seb offers quietly, although it sounds as if he doesn’t even want to. Makes a gal wonder what he saw there, the last time he went. “That way you’re not risking anything.”
“What? No!” I sit there for a moment, contemplating the situation silently to myself. Ugh. “Y’know what, nevermind. I’ll figure something else out.”
_______________
A few days ago, I had told Sam and Seb that I’d avoid the creepy tower in the woods.
I didn’t promise anything, though!
I made sure to change clothes before leaving the house. My third outfit of the day, not counting the pajamas I woke up in… doing laundry will be a pain this week. In my defense, I was paranoid that I’d be caught red handed by a nighttime skateboarder or a wandering basement dweller, so I swapped out my white sundress for black leggings, black boots, and a black tee shirt.
I am one with the night.
…Or, I just look like I’m about to burglarize someone.
Whatever.
The former sounds cooler.
As I inch my way through the trees, the sound of crickets and cicadas are deafening, but in a peaceful sorta way. Maybe I’ll camp out here sometime.
The closer I get to my destination, the more… weird I feel. It’s that same uncomfortable pull I felt at the Flower Dance, towards that creepy hooded person.  If I’m recalling correctly, I felt a similar gravitation during my last endeavors in Cindersap. Like something is controlling me, in an effort to lure me in. Bloodbending me towards the tower. Punishing me with a nasty head and stomach ache if I refuse it.
With the structure now in my sight, my stomach is in knots from nerves. Seb’s reluctant offer to go here before me flashes through my mind, giving me second thoughts. He’s only human, but it’s rare he really seems scared about much of anything. What had him so silently irked about this place?
I take a deep breath, and continue my mission anyway.
The lights are on, meaning whoever is there is probably awake. At least I know I won’t be ruining any sleep with my intrusion. I pick up my pace to a light jog, wanting to get this over with.
I hope I can convince Abby to come here, should I not, like, die tonight. And if the resident gives me permission. And if Abby wants to, rather than doing it out of a weird obligation, that would be nice too. Unless… What if she uses the time alone to turn against me? I shake the paranoid thoughts from my head as I approach my destination.
The moment I set foot on one of the rugged, wooden steps, I’m hit with a dizzy spell. After regaining my composure, I take another step, this time feeling a pang in my temples. I lean on the dirt wall next to me for a moment. I don’t like this.
With some courage, I move again. This time, nothing bad happens. Interesting…?
Seeing that as the universe’s permission to continue, I jog up the final few stairs. Still in one piece, I breathe out a sigh of relief. I wonder if that was just my nerves… My gut tells me there was a barrier of sorts trying to keep me out, or maybe even entice me in, but that just feels nonsensical.
Looking out to the woods behind me, I’m met with a beautiful view. I can see the fireflies dancing by the river, the tops of the roofs and street lamps in town, and the cozy glow of the Stardrop as Gus and Emily likely begin their preparations for closing. On my right, the Gem Sea sparkles under the light of the full moon, offering a welcomed calmness to my current endeavor.
I turn back around and see the small crop area that Seb had mentioned. He wasn’t kidding — this shit is impressive. There’s a huge melon to the right, surrounded by several smaller ones. If I wasn’t keeping this whole thing a secret, I’d take a picture to send to the boys. Has big “Don’t talk to me or my sons ever again” energy.
To the left is a beautiful garden of flowers and some more fruits. A mix of variously colored summer spangles and small, plump, vine-grown berries that I’ve never seen. They’re bright blue, bioluminescent underneath the night sky.
My heart races as I take another few steps forward. Social anxiety aside, I think the encounter I’m about to have would freak anyone out. It’s not everyday that a person decides to spontaneously scope out some stranger’s home, and somewhat late at night, no less.
I swallow the lump in my throat, lift my hand to grasp the cold metal knocker, and—
“Well, it’s about time.”
A short, high-pitched scream escapes me. I shut myself up with a palm to my mouth, as to not attract the attention of anyone who might be nearby.
“What the—? W-where are you? Who said that?”
A low, decadent chuckle flows through my head. I look around frantically, but not a single soul is in sight.
“I’ve been awaiting your arrival for quite some time, young one. I apologize for startling you, but I must say, it was fun doing so.” I don’t answer, and they sigh jovially. “Please, enter! It’s in my interest to make your acquaintance.”
Oh… they live here? Then why does it sound like they’re inside of my fucking brain what the fuck–
I shudder before twisting open the golden doorknob. Instantly, various scents waft through my nostrils. Cinnamon, pine, something musky and sharp too — maybe lemongrass. There are various shrubs, flowers, and vines lining the walls of the entryway; and multicolored lights shine above them, mostly of varying shades of purple, green, pink, and blue.
Shyly, I move forward, both admiring the well-kept shrubbery and the cozy decor of the room past the next doorway. From what I can see, it’s warmly lit. There are more plants scattered, a fireplace in the back, and bulbous fairy lights strung along the upper walls.
I hear footsteps getting closer, and my nerves rev back up. I pause in my tracks as the mysterious voice reveals their physical form.
Yoba, I thought Sam was large, but this guy has to be at the absolute least a half of a foot taller.
The man’s purple hair sprinkles into his vision, slightly in the way of burgundy eyes that sparkle with intrigue. A black leather cord containing a small, corked bottle of something adorns his neck, and his pointed elf-like ears are decorated with a set of red dangling earrings. He is wearing a half-tucked, off-white button down, above black dress pants, and fancy black shoes with pointed silver tips to them.
I feel severely underdressed.
As he leans against the doorway and crosses his arms over his chest, I notice several rings amongst his fingers, each with a different colored gem in the center. Go off, Thanos.
He smiles down at me warmly with a single nod, making my heart skip a beat. Why is everyone in this stupid town so gorgeous? I think to myself. He tilts his head curiously, eyes narrowing with a wider grin, as if he’s reading my inner dialogue.
…Holy shit. I wonder if he can, considering how he was communicating with me before.
“I know you.” I whisper with furrowed brows, pushing my previous thoughts aside.
The moment I noticed the colors of his features — reddish-purple irises, gray skin, almost Abby-colored hair, the black beauty mark below his right eye — I realized this man is the same person I saw lurking around behind the Flower Dance.
“Well, not formally of course, but yes. I was sure you would recognize me.” Thank god he’s no longer speaking directly into my head. As lovely as his voice is, that was intense... “I do my best to keep to the shadows, alas, my hiding spots are sometimes subpar.”
Against my better judgment to just stay quiet, I question him. “Why hide?”
“It would be unwise to bring fear to the townspeople. Only some know of me, but they fear the unknown presence I carry. Then again, it is possible I simply stick out too much for their liking...” He mumbles the last sentence as he observes the dust-colored skin of his hands.
“Worry not, as it is something I’ve grown accustomed to over the years. Now, onto the matter at hand,” he announces, “I am Magnus Rasmodius. Seeker of the arcane truths. Mediary between physical and ethereal. Master of the seven elementals. Keeper of the—“
Magnus looks at my face and catches me biting back a giggle. I never expected this guy to be so adorably dorky. He blushes, his eyes fading from their natural (???) maroon into a light pink to match his cheeks. Oh my god, that was so sick?! “Er… you get it.”
“Sorry,” I snort, breaking.
His features revert back to their previous shades as he grins and shakes his head, silently accepting the apology. “Come, have a seat. There’s much to discuss.”

“This is gonna burn, okay?” “I know, I know…” I groan. I close my eyes, preparing myself for pain. “Just do it.”
Softly cradling my hand in one of his own, Seb uses the other to press an antiseptic-soaked cotton ball to the wound he’d created on my leg. I suck in through my teeth and crinkle my nose, forming a death grip around his palm.
“Doin’ so good, baby,” he reassures me. Through teary eyes, I look into his, reciprocating the soft smile that graces his lips. He leans in to place a light kiss on my grin before pointing his attention to the next afflicted area: my neck.
“I’m… I’m so sorry,” he laughs. “For all of this.” He vaguely gestures at my marks. “The biting,” he picks up the bottle of medicinal liquid and sways it a little, “This shit…”
I shake my head. “I would’ve stopped you if I needed you to.”
“I know. Still...” He trails off, then softly whispers, “Ready?” and places a newly soaked piece of cotton onto my throat once I’ve nodded.
Through hisses, I chuckle. “It was like… ridiculously hot, though.” I release my hand from his and bring it to his face. “I mean, we still gotta talk about… whatever,” I sigh. “As much as I loved how rough you were, I wish it were under different circumstances, y’know?”
Seb nods, closing his eyes and nustling into my touch. He looks exhausted. I feel exhausted. Too busy of a day. Too fucked out.
He opens his eyes finally, and grabs a new cotton ball. “Just a little more,” he mutters.
I unwrap the towel that I’d swaddled around my torso after Seb helped me clean up in the shower, and he softly traces the bites, bruises and hickies he’d marked me with.
“Fuck.”
“Hm?”
Cheeks getting rosy, Seb looks down and dabs some liquid onto the cotton. He growls lowly, meeting my gaze through his lashes, “It’s a good look on you.”
“Sicko,” I giggle. As if that didn’t make my heart skip a beat… as if I wouldn’t go for round two, if he wanted it. I’d sacrifice my insides being just as sore as my branded skin if it meant I got to experience that shit again.
Before Sebastian can continue his first aid, I stand from the bathroom floor and tippy-toe so that I can inspect my body in the mirror above the sink. I trace the marks – they begin at my neck, and scatter downward in a sloppy line. My boobs took a real beating. I look like I was fucking wrecked. Which I was, obviously. But like damn.
“Oh my god.”
“Hm?”
“I… kinda like it,” I whisper. Taking note of how red my own face is turning, I return to my previous spot.
“Yeah?” I nod shyly. Seb hums out a devilish chuckle, and I shiver at the noise. “‘Atta girl.”
“Shut up.”
Instead of sitting back onto my towel, I throw it at him and accept the cool floor tiles.
Seb continues to tend my wounds: antiseptic, Neosporin, bandaids where needed, and lots of kisses and praise. Once he’s finished, I pick out a big tee and briefs to sleep in and grab some ice for my neck (these hickies are gnarly) while Seb makes us some tea. It’s, like, 3 in the morning, but I want nothing more than to cuddle and exist together for a little before we head to bed.
I sit down cross-legged on the mattress, with a peacefully sleeping Cannoli to my right. When I reach to pet him, I accidentally wake him up.
“Sorry, little man,” I mumble.
He lets out a tiny trill, and rests his head back down for some more snoozes as I stroke his soft fur. Just when I lean my back against the wall, Seb returns with our tea.
After handing me a mug, Seb joins the party, plopping down to my left. I take a sip of the soothing beverage and snuggle up to his side, being invited in with an outstretched arm. A short silence passes before I bring up something that’s been on my mind.
“Did… did you really think that I’d cheat on you, Seb?”
He sighs into his cup. “Not really…? I dunno.” He takes a sip, and I mimic his movements. “It’s just… the way Magnus talked to you. Or,” Seb puts up air quotes with the arm wrapped around me, “‘talked’ to you.” I lean further into Seb’s touch. He sighs and backtracks a little to explain himself, “I should fill you in more. So, like, I don’t have much going on with me in terms of magic, since I stopped my training so early.” I nod along. “Ever since he gave me… some potion,” I think back to the disgusting slop Magnus made me drink. I wonder if it was the same one. “...I’m able to use telepathy, and I have heightened instincts too. Like… think of a wolf or some shit, I dunno. It’s like that.”
I stifle a laugh.
“What?”
I lower my voice an octave and say, “‘On all levels except physical, I am a–’”
Seb snorts and nudges me, mumbling something about me shutting up. “I’m sorry,” I giggle as I nudge him back.
“As I was saying,” he slowly continues, “I, like…” Seb takes a sec to pick out his wording. “I can very easily tell how people are feeling, if I really try to, if that makes sense? Like, I’m able to sniff out their distinct pheromones and whatever. Can hear their heartbeat from several feet away if I concentrate real hard. Whole buncha shit.”
I peer up, head still resting on Seb. I guess that’s why he’s always been so good at reading me, at being so frickin’ responsive to my feelings… it honestly explains a lot. It feels weird to know that was the spirits’ doing, in a way, rather than just some kind of convenient intuition.
“I… I know you kind of have it bad for Magnus.” A thick blush coats my skin as my eyes widen. He laughs. “See?” He didn’t even have to look at me to know how I was reacting. “It’s fine, like, crushes happen, and he’s fucking gorgeous even in that disguise he had goin’ on. I get it.” Something about the way Seb talks is comforting. As though he’s not hurt by it, or that he expected it even.
“S-Seb, I mean… I guess…?” I mutter defeatedly. “I promise I’d never act on anything, though.”
“I know,” he smiles down at me. “I trust you. And regardless of what I said, I trust him too.”
Confused, considering what he had said, I reply with an inquisitive hum.
“I know it’s probably my own self-consciousness fueling this shit, not anything that either of you did. Swear it.” I reach a reassuring hand down to his thigh, lightly rubbing as he talks. “But, even just thinking of the possibility that something could happen makes my skin crawl, (y/n). I really don’t want to lose you.”
“You won’t.” My eyes are foggy, tears threatening to leave my lashlines, and my brows are upturned as I clutch the drink in my hand harder. “I don’t know how I can prove it to you, but I love you so fucking much. You’re the best thing that has happened to me in such a long time, and you’re my best friend. I don’t want to lose you either.”
He plants a kiss to my exposed forehead, mumbling his affection back against my skin.
“I asked this before, like during… you know…” I trail off, vaguely gesturing. He playfully sticks out his tongue at me, and I poke it back into his mouth with a wide grin. “But like, what is it about Magnus specifically that has you feeling like this?”
“I… I dunno,” he laughs. “Maybe seeing it firsthand did some shit to me. Like, I’ve noticed how easily flustered you can get, my dear.” I coil in further on myself, feeling vulnerable and embarrassed. Blushing at how easily the pet name rolls off his tongue. How easily he teases me into submission. He comforts me with another forehead smooch. “But, I’ve never watched your body react to someone else in such a similar way to how you are around me. That sucked. Or, well… I guess it felt weird, more than bad.”
I simply nod, lowering my gaze down again. Not really knowing what to say.
A few silent beats go by, before my follow-up pops into my head. “I’m not, like, in love with anyone other than you, but I just… have a lot of love to give, I guess?”
He groans. “Such a fuckin’ cornballll.”
I giggle into a sip of tea. “Shut up, I know, but it’s true!” I crack the knuckles of my free hand. “Never experienced so many people caring for me until I came here. And I’m so, so fucking grateful for it, but I don’t know what to do with all of it. It’s hard not to get so flustered.” I look back up, and Seb’s giving me the same dreamy, loving look that he’s given me a billion times before. It still makes the butterflies in my tummy go nuts.
“I mean, you know how rough my past was. I don’t need to dive back into that.”
He nods.
“So, you can probably put together that this is the first time I’m with someone who gives half a shit about me. First time I’ve ever had actual friends who care about me, you included… First time anyone has made me feel special just for being myself. Nobody’s shown such genuine and enthusiastic interest in me like Sam, such compassion and empathy for me like you do, or such unconditional care towards me like Magnus.”
I chip at the navy blue nail polish on my thumb using my pointer. I’ve accidentally picked up that fidget from Seb. “Even your mom is better to me than my own was when I was still in contact with her, which obviously doesn’t say much, but that doesn’t make me cherish it any less.”
I take another gulp of tea before moving on to my next point.
“So, I couldn’t tell you why Sam doesn’t woo me to the same degree that you do, or why Magnus… gets pretty close? I guess? Despite not having known him for long?” I wince. I firmly grasp Seb’s thigh, trying my best to be honest but also comfort him… and comfort myself as I accept these feelings. I want Seb to feel loved in every way I can manage; he probably knows that, as he plants another kiss of understanding to my head.
“But I can’t help it. And I can’t help but want to reciprocate, either, in certain ways,” I admit, finally reaching my point. “I wouldn’t cheat, but I don’t want to push someone I care for out of my life just to try to avoid them making a move, or something… if that makes any sense.”
I feel Seb nod against me, his soft cheek pressed into my hair. “Ever heard of polyamory?” he murmurs.
I furrow my brows. “Yeah, why?”
He shrugs. “I just wonder if maybe that’s something you’d be into.”
I blink, taken aback a little by how relaxed he sounds talking about that. “I… I dunno, actually. I’ve never thought of it.” I peer up. “Have you ever tried it?”
“No,” he shakes his head, “was just a thought.”
I nod slowly. Being in a relationship with more than one person sounds exhausting. Even if it was consensual, I can’t imagine feeling too peachy about splitting my affection between people like that.
But… I could try? Maybe? I dunno.
“D-do you want to try it?”
“Eh,” he dryly chuckles, seeming only half-okay with it. Seems like a good conversation to have if and when that time comes, rather than right now. “Sounds tiring.”
“Yeah, I was thinking the same.”
I finish my tea, and reach over Seb to place down the empty mug before curling myself up on his lap. He gladly welcomes me into his larger form. Holding me against him as if I’m the most precious thing in the world.
“I really, really love you, Sebastian.”
“Why dontcha marry me then, (y/n)?” he whispers against my temple.
I blush and squeak at the suggestion, because of course I do. When he starts laughing at me, I snort and swat at him lightly. “In your dreams.”
Rather than quipping back, Seb just menacingly chuckles, peppering kisses all over my cheek. Making me giggle and shit. It’s utterly nauseating how in love I am. This man will be the fucking death of me.

At some point in the night, Seb must’ve gotten up to turn off the lights and close my curtains, because I’ve woken up to a dark room and a meowing cat. Wiping the sleep from my eyes, I plant a soft kiss on Seb’s head and climb over him so that I can give Cannoli his late breakfast and some water. It’s the last day before autumn, and my berries seemed almost ready to be picked yesterday, so I’ll check on those too.
Cannoli happily chirps a few times as I fill his bowls, and I have to silence him with headpats and a soft but firm shhh here and there, so as to not wake Sebastian. It’s almost noon, but we did have a late and… ~active~ night. He deserves to rest.
Next, I slip on the cheap rubber boots and worn-down leather gloves I usually use to garden when it’s not sweltering and go outside, opting to shower later. I keep making the mistake of washing myself as soon as I get up – an old habit – and then being all gross within a few hours from farming and whatnot, thus wasting more water.
I taste test one of the first blueberries I see. Its sweet, slightly tart juice bursts in my mouth with a slight little crunch that you don’t often get from store-bought berries. These are amazing! I smile to myself, stealing another for myself and doing a happy little shimmy before putting them in my basket. I can’t believe I grew my own food. I might be able to make my first profit with this, too. Or maybe I can make a pie or something.
This is so sick!
I proudly hum a song that’s been stuck in my head recently as I work. I’m lost in thought: trying to decide what to plant over the next few days, pondering if I should sell most of these, or if I should just gift them (in raw or pastry form) to some of my neighbors to celebrate… fun stuff. Farmer stuff! But a deep clearing of a throat behind me startles me from my trance.
“Ah!”
I whip around, and find Magnus — undisguised at last, and strolling towards me from… Yoba knows where. Was he in the mountains, and came down this way to pop by? Did he teleport behind me at some point? So many possibilities. Unsure of whether to ask why he’s here, or how he got here in the first place, I end up just stuttering a bunch.
“It’s alright, you can do it,” he cheekily encourages me.
I huff, despite the smile that curves onto my lips. “Fuck off.” I flick a blueberry his way, but he catches the bullet. Inspects it too.
“Oh, thank you very much!” he remarks before eating it. He hums happily, and I can’t help but feel a bit proud of my crop. Maybe even a little flustered about the approval.
Through a shy grin, I get back to work and ask, “What brings you here, Oh Great Wizard?”
He chuckles smoothly. “I was hoping to discuss something with you. I see you’re busy though, so another time will suffice.”
Thinking of Sebastian sleeping inside, I nod. I know he’ll be fine, but I feel like that discussion was a little too recent for his heart to handle seeing– feeling? me in this state again.
I hope these feelings go away someday.
“Yeah, maybe sometime next week? I have a buncha big farming days coming up,” I say as I vaguely gesture around at the plants, grimacing a little. “Oh! Or tonight, if you’re gonna be at the beach to see the jellies.” Almost forgot about that.
“Of course!” Fuck, Magnus’ smile’s so fucking contagious. God fucking damnit. I can’t not mirror him. “Next week would probably be better, if— Oh?” His brows furrow.
“What?” I ask, my brows following suit.
He proceeds towards me and crouches, taking my chin between his thumb and forefinger, and tilting my head up. Towards him. He is so close.
“W-what are you–” I stammer, becoming a blushing, blubbering, terrified, absolute fucking mess, before he turns my head to the side.
Oh.
I took the bandages off my neck when I woke up, to let them air out.
Which means he can see the bites.
Oh god oh fuck oh god oh fuck oh god oh fu–
“What happened, my dear?” he whispers.
I glance at him through the corner of my eye, and despite the softness of his baritone voice, his eyes are a wild, angry red. Mine widen, and I look away. I feel the crimson of my face spreading to my ears. I’m trying to figure out how to tell him (without actually telling him) that I had incredibly kinky, rough, untamed sex…
Because of him.
“Er…” I swallow hard and wiggle my head out of his grip, taking my hair in my hands and crossing it over my neck and lower face. Burying myself in it. Hiding myself as I realize that I’m also fucking pantless underneath this tee shirt, to top this all off... I can’t look him in the eyes. I just sit there and stare down at my crouched knees and hope that he gets the point.
A moment passes.
And then another.
And then, I hear a deep, shaky breath. “O-oh!” He sounds surprised, but his voice is more coarse than usual.
I glance up through my lashes and he’s looking off to the side. His irises are now a deeper, blood-like red – interesting? I thought they’d be pink, if anything – and his cheeks are coated in blush.
I slowly turn my head towards him again, before explaining, “I… I didn’t expect to see anyone yet, s-so I didn’t bother to put on any makeup, and–”
“Y-yes,” he clears his throat. “Yes, of course. No worries.”
I breathe out, and continue bravely, “Um. Magnus?” I shift my gaze back down when he brings his to mine.
“Yes?”
“D-did you figure it out on your own, or like…” I curl further in on myself as I speak. God I hope he didn’t read my mind.
“No! No, I worked it out for myself.” He airily chuckles. Whew. “I-I think it is best if I don't learn the details.”
“Yes! Yeah, absolutely! Please don’t!”
“Mhm!” he hums and nods firmly. “I’m going to… Er…” he stammers, “I will see you soon, (y/n).”
“Yeah, um. Have a good one, Mag,” I squeak. Mag? Way to make this worse, loser.
And just like that, he’s gone. Teleported away as quickly as he possibly could’ve.
I groan out loud. I then kneel over and clutch a bunch of soil between my gloved fingers, groaning again. Cannoli walks up beside me, confused as to why I’m so angry at the ground.
I pick him up and scream into the fur on his belly, hoping it’ll muffle enough that I can get my frustrations out without causing worry from Seb or anybody else who might be nearby. Cannoli whines, scratches me lightly on the forehead, escapes my arms, and runs away. Shoulda known better than to use a cat as a stress toy.

Although we left the tower from the main floor, Magnus brought us back through the teleportation hall. I’ve only ever been over here a few times, and it’s just as beautiful and dramatic as you’d expect a hall of cubbies with portals in them to look.
Spotlights shine over each glowing floor crest. Dense ivy is climbing nearly every wall, because of course Magnus’ arborie extends down here too. Some worn-out, brassy plaques that once stated the location that each portal led to are fastened to the stone in-between each red velvet curtain, which are held up by golden rods. Some of them conceal the portals that they're intended to hide, and others are haphazardly bunched open.
As Magnus and I silently near the end of the hall, we both turn to each other. Something feels… weird.
“Do you hear that?” he asks into my head.
I furrow my brows, then shut my eyes, really trying to focus my senses. I hear… oh for fuck’s sake, is that— “Camilla?” I finish my thought back to the wizard.
He sighs. His eyelids close. Takes a deeper breath, nodding. Mentally preparing for the confrontation, I assume.
I wince, remembering how my other encounters with that witch have gone. I haven’t seen her much — just the day I met her, and one other surprise visit. None of it was terrible, I guess, but they weren’t the coziest experiences I’ve had to endure either.
My eyes widen as my thoughts jump to their next subject. Seb.
I whisper, “Fuck, she’s probably torturing the poor guy.”
Another sigh emits from my partner. Matching my volume, he submits. “Well, let’s get this over with…”
I have to hide a grin. Is it sadistic of me to find his resentment towards Camilla kind of amusing? I mean, he’s typically so laid back, y’know?
While we quietly pad through the bookshelves and back to the room where we began today's activities, I try to focus on Camilla. Channeling my energy, and whatever… aaand…
Damn. Still can’t mind-read. I thought maybe the tension would, like, encourage it out of me or something…? I dunno.
Maybe some other time.
Probably not.
Fuck.
Whatever.
A few more steps and I’m able to make out her words. She sounds just as unnecessarily sultry as I remember her. “Anyway, how have you been faring, tiger?” Tiger?! I stifle a laugh. “I never thought I’d see you around here again.”
“She must not have gotten here too long ago,” I observe into Magnus’ head, peering up at him as we slow to a halt just a few paces from the room our visitor is occupying. He nods in agreement.
“If you’d like, you can wait upstairs. I won’t subject you to her if you feel uneasy.”
“Too late. Ripping the bandaid off!”
Before Magnus can register what I‘ve “said,” I turn the corner. Camilla, probably having been fully aware of our presence for a hot minute or two, turns to me as if in cue.
“Hey, sweetie~” God, does she have to say it so... seductively? I feel a light tingle in my cheeks and avert all eye contact as I offer a meek “Hi.” I see the witch peer behind me from the edge of my vision, and her grin turns more devilish as I brave her face again. “Razzy!!”
“Spirits protect me,” he murmurs aloud. “Camilla.” He pairs her name with a curt nod.
She looks tickled. Camilla totally knows he hates her. She has to, I mean, look at them! The lady just knows how to make the best of it. I respect that, honestly.
I look towards Seb, who looks absolutely exhausted. I wonder if he managed to get even a wink of sleep. As Camilla struts towards Magnus and I, with her focus plastered on the older wizard — thank god — I maneuver towards the couch and plop myself next to Sebastian.
I can’t resist.
“Hey there, tiger~”
Seb deadpans me. “I will end you.”
I snort. “Sorry, jeez! You alright, love?” I whisper as he leans his head on my left shoulder. My corresponding hand instinctively draws upward, promptly running my fingers through his fluffy, pitch black hair.
He simply groans.
A soft chuckle escapes me, and I pat a kiss onto his forehead before dropping his fringe and leaning my temple against his scalp. I fidget with the shoulder of his shirt and shut my weary eyes, just enjoying the contact with Seb after today. There’s still plenty of daylight left, but I think the excitement combined with the wine has me feeling a little drained. I’m choosing to ignore the potential illness I might experience from skinnydipping in cold water and cold weather like a dumbass, good lord Magnus I would be so mad at you if I had it in me—
“You sleep at all?” I cut my thoughts off.
“Barely…” Seb grumbles, “By the time my body decided to cooperate with me, I had about 10 minutes before she appeared.”
“Hm…” I look up to the other spellcasters in the room, who have relocated from the doorway. Camilla still has her back to us.  “We can try and sneak up to Magnus’ bed for a nap while she’s distracted if you want,” I suggest. “Not sure how focused she is on listening to us right now, y’know?”
Seb sighs. Then, he nods.
“I’m sorry,” I invade Magnus as we stand up and tip-toe to the doorway. “Good luck down here. We’ll be in your room.”
I look over at Magnus, who peers towards us while Camilla focuses her attention to the long, glowy, fancy scroll in her hands. His face stays stoic, but his eyes light up at the sound of my voice; and as he nods his response, he offers a wink.
What does that wink mean? Was it just cheeky? Or does he think we’re leaving to, like, fuck or something?
“Don’t have too much fun without me, dear.”
Oooh, he thinks we’re fucking.
I’m pretty sure neither of us have any intention to engage in that — I’d envisioned more of a cozy nap together, perhaps — yet I can’t help but wonder what it would be like if the tables were turned from this morning, with Magnus walking in on Seb and I rather than it being the opposite.
Phew. I need to think of literally anything else before I short circuit and walk into a wall.
I take Seb’s hand in mine as we wordlessly trek up the basement stairs and through the main floor. Feeling the new piece of jewelry adorning my hand, Seb raises it to his face as we walk up the next set of stairs.
“What’s this?”
“Magnus finally asked me out. Made me a fancy magic ring to go with it.”
“It’s about time,” Seb grins lazily, lightly teasing the absent wizard. “Looks pretty.” He presses a kiss to the knuckle just above my ring, lightly tugging me through the doorway to Magnus’ room.
“You look pretty,” I quip back.
“I look like shit, actually.” He lets go of my hand and collapses onto the unmade bed, belly-first.
I wrap around to the other side — there’s more than enough room for both of us to sprawl — as I respond, “Still pretty.”
Laying down much more gently, I curl up on my side and away from Seb. “By the way, I might have a cold coming on, in case you wanna keep your distance. I don’t want to get you sick with how busy your work has been lately.”
The bed shifts slightly, and I feel fingers running through my still damp tresses. Mmmm this is nice.
“You two get caught in the rain or something?”
“No,” I sigh. “We went swimming…”
I head a light snort behind me. “Where the hell did he take you where it was warm enough to swim?”
“Bold of you to assume it was warm enough,” I respond, closing my eyes. Melting into the light scratches of Seb’s nails on my scalp, the feathery tugs to release the knots from my hair, the warmth of his fingers... “Same weather as here, basically,” I mention quietly, trying to break out of this comfy stupor. I sniffle and clear my throat before continuing, “It was a magical little forest clearing with a lake and waterfalls and stuff. Looked like it was ripped from Skyrim or some shit.”
“Any creatures?”
“Only fish.” I hear a soft tut behind me and smile. He was probably hoping for some fancy new frogs. “They were cute, but I was secretly hoping a junimo or two would pop out of the woods to say ‘hi.’”
“I was banking on you meeting some fancy new frogs or something.” Called it! “That still sounds nice though. I’m glad you two had fun out there.”
I nod, scooching back towards Seb. He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer, tapping a kiss to my head. I hum contentedly. Use my feet and lower legs to shimmy the blankets onto me. Manage to get them up to my knees before reaching down to pull them high enough to cover the lower part of my face. God, they smell so nice. Like Magnus, but with whatever detergent he uses mixed in. Some cottony type of smell.
I feel some shifting behind me, and then my back feels a little warmer. Seb must’ve tucked himself in too.
“Comfy?” I murmur, already feeling myself drifting off.
He hums an affirmation, and it’s the last thing I can register before sleep takes me.
_______________
I wake to a baritone sigh from somewhere across the room. I keep my eyes shut. Sniffle. Notice how crunchy my throat feels, how my spit is almost too thick to swallow. God damnit I’m totally sick. It happened so quickly, too… maybe something about the magic? Who knows.
My gentle alarm clock pads over towards the bed, and I hear another noise – more of a huff, maybe of amusement? – this time. More footsteps. The bed dips in front of me. I feel the warmth of something hover over my cheek, as if hesitating, before it softly rests there. Then, it relocates to my forehead.
“Hm…” I hum, enjoying the feeling. This is so nice. One partner on either side of me. I feel so pampered.
“Are you awake, dearest?” Magnus whispers. His hand drifts back to my cheek, his thumb soothingly stroking it.
“Mhm.” That sounded so gross. I clear my throat and try again. Comes out smoother this time.
He observes, “You feel warm.”
Still too groggy to speak, I respond with another hum. Maybe that was more of a grunt. I dunno.
“Are you feeling alright?”
I shrug. “Probably just a cold,” I answer. My head hurts and this is only making it throb more, but it feels easier to do this than to speak for now. “No big deal.”
He curses to himself. “I’m sorry, dear. My kind has somewhat of an immunity to most mundane illnesses. I didn’t think twice before encouraging you to join me for a swim.”
“Worth it.” Now that I know I probably can’t get Magnus sick, I remove my hand from under the covers, reaching blindly in his direction. When I feel his shirt in my grasp, I tug it, and with a quiet chuckle he nudges closer to me.
Probably not wanting to disturb Seb, he responds back into my head. “It was not worth it,” he lightly scolds. “I never want you to feel unwell for my sake.”
“It’s worth it to meee.”
A voiceless chuckle escapes through his noise. “You’re silly.”
“I know. Now shut up and nap with is.”
“So demanding.”
I’m unsure if he’s watching me, but I raise a finger to my lips anyway. “Shhh.”
“Alright, alright.” A beat passes. “Actually...”
The bed shifts again as I feel the body in front of me vanish. I gather the strength to open my eyes, furrowing my brows as I glare up at him between two narrow slits. “That’s not napping,” I pout.
Another chuckle under his breath. “I’m going to make some soup.”
“Hmm.” I sigh, shutting my eyes again and scooting back a little more. Seb’s unconscious form tightens its hold around me. ”Fine… thank you, love.”
“Of course, my heart. Please keep resting – I will come get you two when it’s done.”
I nod, hoping he’s still looking. His light steps grow quieter, and the door shuts again. Seb exhales behind me.
His voice groggy from sleep, he murmurs, “Oh my god dude, his face was so close to mine.”
I chuckle. “Sorry if we woke you up.” I answer verbally, then decide that it’s easier to keep at it telepathically. I feel so… eugh.
“Sorry if you can feel my heartbeat right now,” the emo responds.
“He had you that frazzled, huh?” I feel Seb nod, then continue, “Sounds like your feelings have evolved beyond just crushing territory.”
“You’re telling me…” His arm moves, his hand resting on my forehead. “Hm. You are warm.”
I repeat back to Seb what I’d told Magnus, “Probably just a cold.”
“You’re awfully toasty for just a cold.” Seb’s arm lowers again, wrapping back around me. “Why don’t I stay at the farm for a few days? I can help out while you get better.”
I can’t help the smile that curves my lips, but shake my head. “No! You have your own work to worry about.”
“I’m sure Magnus wouldn’t mind splitting farming duties with me. We both know he’s good with plants, after all.”
“He has his own work too.” My eyes are still shut, and I’m still facing away from Seb, but my brows furrow. “Besides, I dunno how cozy I am with you both doting on me so much. Feels weird.”
“Yoba forbid we love you, or something,” he chuckles. I join him, but not without lightly nudging him with my elbow. “You don’t wanna miss meeting Krobus coming to Spirit’s Eve because you didn’t take care of yourself, do you?”
I groan. “...Fuck you. I don’t like it when you’re right about things.”
“Too bad.” He kisses the crown of my head, then sighs. “Want me to go grab you some tea?”
I shake my head. Scoot back a little more, then tuck my top leg between both of his. Reinforcing that I don’t want him to leave. Deciding my head is pounding too much to keep talking to him telepathically, I clear my throat, then tell him, “Magnus is making soup.”
There’s a pause before he asks, “…Where?”
I think for a moment. I’ve only eaten an actual meal here, like, once, and that was when Magnus disguised his home for Abby’s potential visit. Y’know, when he conjured a whole-ass kitchen into the main room. Other than that, we usually order in or have little treats if we’re hungry.
“Huh.” I think harder. He’s gotta eat more than just takeout, no? “Maybe he keeps a hot plate or two in his cabinets, or… wait, no, the outlets are all taken by his string lights, and he’d never turn those off…” I pause, lightly coughing and clearing my throat before I wonder, “Where the fuck does he make food?”
Sounding more confused now, Seb asks, “Where the fuck is his fridge?” “Does Magnus… does he eat when we’re not here? Do elementals need food?”
I turn my head back slightly, and see that Sebby’s expression is just as concerned as mine.
Without a word, we both get out of bed – well, I kinda roll out more than anything – and head downstairs. As if to sneak up on Magnus – observe him in his natural habitat, if you will – we tip-toe down to the main room…
Aaand he’s not there.
I turn around and jog up a few steps to see the hallway.
Eyeing the spiral staircase – which I assumed led to a room that was full of artifacts and shit based on the fact that I’ve never been up there, and because why wouldn’t it be cluttered with various arcane wonders? – I think out loud, “Does he have a kitchen up there?”
Seb follows me. I look up at him as he reaches the step I’m on. Unsure of himself, he squints and tilts his head to the side a little. “Maaaybe?”
He looks down at me. Filled with determination, we nod at each other and continue our adventure through this absurdly stereotypical wizard tower, which we’ve spent plenty of time in without knowing what is actually up there.
How the fuck have neither of us thought to look or ask?
Whatever.
I sniffle as we mosey over, and get onto the first step to try and peer up. Sniffle again, big style. Sounds gnarly.
“Gross,” Sebastian teases.
I nudge him. “You’re gross.”
Without a response, Seb steps up to join me. The top is dark. Can’t see shit from here.
“Should we check?” I ask. “I mean, I don’t want to go anywhere he doesn’t want us to, but—“ Seb is already ascending. “Oh.”
I follow him up, hastily catching up to his longer strides. For some reason my heart is pounding, as if something bad is gonna happen. Haven’t had any premonitions yet, so that’s promising, at least.
We get to the top, Seb whips out he flashlight on his phone, and—
“It’s just a normal attic.”
“Oh.” That was anticlimactic. “Well…”
Head lowered, I take a walk of shame back down the stairs. I was so convinced something cool and/or mysterious would be going on up there.
When we get to the bottom, now in the small corridor outside of Magnus’ room again, Seb takes a turn into the bathroom. He closes the door, but talks anyway as he pees.
There’s something heartwarmingly domestic about this.
“You think he got caught up in some business with Camilla again?” he suggests.
“Maybe. I hope everything is alri—“ I stop my words short as I hear the front door open. “Someone just walked in,” I mutter against the wood.
I can’t hear Seb’s response over the sound of the toilet flushing, and tip-toe a few feet over where I can see the culprit. My eyes widen, watching as the wizard transfers takeaway containers of soup into some bowls he had stored near his workstation. I’ve been hoodwinked!
“Magnus Rasmodius,” I announce, ignoring the surprised little jump he does as he turns towards me, “What the frick is that?!”
The wizard’s eyes widen and pinken, his cheeks flushing to match. “Erm…”
Seb steps out of the bathroom and peers over my head. “Oh, you dirty, dirty man.”
I cross my arms and lean back against Seb, cheekily glaring down at the wizard. A short silence passes.
“…I cannot cook.”
My brows furrow. I slowly make my way down the steps with Seb in tow. “What, like, you don’t have anything to cook with, or..?”
He shakes his head, eyes still pink as he confesses, “I don’t bother to keep much kitchenware handy. My cooking and baking skills are abysmal.”
All the tea, ramen, and other things that can be made by simply boiling water are beginning to make sense.
“Do you just buy takeout every day then?” Seb asks.
With his brows lowered and his bottom lip being thoroughly chewed, Magnus diverts his eyes.
“Why didn’t you say anything sooner?!” I frown. “I wouldn’t mind cooking for you. Or with you, I mean, I could teach you a little.”
“Is it not an utter embarrassment, though? To meet someone who can’t cook, despite having been on this earth for centuries?”
“No!” Seb and I both answer. He sounds just as passionately full of worry as I am. “I’m not surprised, to be honest,” Seb tacks on. “With how much of your life you spend working, there’s not much time to learn how.”
I nod in agreement. I shuffle over to Magnus. Wrapping my arms around his waist, I look up at him, my chin resting just below his chest. “Let’s try cooking together when you have time, ‘kay?”
Hugging me back, Magnus peers down in surprise. “Yes,” his shock turns into a warm grin, “That would be lovely.”
Seb walks past us, grabbing a bowl from the counter. “Oh hell yeah, is this pumpkin?”
“Butternut squash.”
“Damn.”
“They’re both squashes, technically,” I point out to Seb. “You get this from Gus?” I ask Magnus, punctuating my question with a sniffle. He, more maroon-eyed again, reacts by placing a soothing palm against my cheek. I practically melt into it.
“Indeed. It is always intimidating to go there, but he is a pleasant man.”
Seb, nodding along as he swallows a sip, chimes in. “Gus fucks.”
I snort out a little laugh. Magnus tilts his head, obviously confused. He doesn’t question it though. Probably had too much slang for one day.
“How does it work with, uh...” I vaguely gesture in Magnus’ direction, implying that I’m referring to his appearance.
He snorts, reassuring me, “He and Emily are some of the very few who know the truth of my existence.”
“What about the other people in there?”
“I teleport directly to the kitchen.”
My brows raise and my jaw goes slack. I huff out a laugh, turning my head and lifting my elbow to my face as it morphs into a cough.
Before I can pry further, Seb asks, “Does that not scare the shit outta them?!”
“They’re quite used to my presence at this point.” He grins, his eyes turning pink as he adds, “I’d like to think we have a fond acquaintanceship by now.”
Aw. I hope they do. He deserves friends besides cryptids and gremlins and basement dwellers! And if there’s anyone here who I think would be accepting of Magnus based strictly on looks and vibes, it would totally be Emily.
Changing the subject, Magnus places his other hand on my free cheek, bending down to kiss my forehead. I tippy toe to help him out. “Now eat,” he orders, his irises burgundy again, “before it gets cold. You need this.”
I nod, situating myself next to Seb as I grab the two unattended bowls, handing one over to Magnus. I hop onto the counter and happily sip straight from the vessel. Gus does fuck, god damn this is good. It’s sweet and salty and creamy as hell, with the exception of some toasted seeds floating within it.
The rest of the day after this is spent taking it easy. After finishing my soup, I nap some more – Magnus lets me borrow a shirt to sleep in, so I don’t need to keep getting all tangled up in my skirt and sweater – and I opt to head home when I wake back up. Magnus insists on teleporting me there, but I walk, wanting to get some fresh air.
I changed back into my own clothes for the walk, but brought the borrowed top with me, insisting I’d wash it for him. That was only a half-lie. No shit I’ll wash it, but as soon as I got home, I tossed Magnus’ tee back on. Too comfy to pass on.
Seb and Magnus continued their training as I made my trek back to the farm and into my bed, and about an hour or two after I situated myself, my partners were already forcing themselves into my house to check up on me.
Fucking dorks. I love them so much.
After ensuring to them that I don’t need anything extra, and begging them to stop fussing over me, the two of them clamor into my bed with Cannoli and I.
It’s a tight fit, and not as comfy as cuddling in Magnus’ bed, but this fucks too.
