FENDI 2025 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION
The sparkle prepared by Silvia Venturini flickers softly yet brilliantly on Stray Kids' Bang Chan's face, revealing the depth of his mysterious eyes behind which Fendi's collection unfolds.
Six mirrored pillars installed by Nico Vascellari stand in the venue, the Milano Superstudio Maxi. As light refracts infinitely between the mirrors, models walk past Silvia Venturini's touch.
Although there is one model, it seems like there are two or even three, with the look's silhouette and colors appearing differently through the illusion of the mirrors.
Tailored jackets and pants enhanced with Selleria stitching, passed down from a Roman saddle master in 1925, represent the maison's nearly 100-year heritage. The slashed button decorations, diagonal slits, and rolled ties reflect the charm of the next era. The newly introduced shield-shaped emblem features the FF logo, Pequin stripes, the Roman god Janus symbolizing beginning and end, and the Fendi squirrel. The Fendi squirrel detail is borrowed from a painting given to Adele Casagrande Fendi by her husband, who always described her as 'busy like a squirrel.'
Accessories highlighting the Selleria design, such as the new Peekaboo ISeeU Soft Bag and the baguette double cross bag with zipper details, can also be seen.

FASHION CREDITS: JAZZ & PIANO SHOW 4.0 PART I
Lady Gaga made a triumphant return to Las Vegas where she'll be staying until July to complete another round of her highly sought-after Jazz & Piano residency shows! And of course, she brought a whole new batch of costumes styled by Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout along with her.
Tumblr media
First, we‘re hopping onto our virtual plane where I‘ll be taking you to Marbella, Spain to once again meet with young fashion designer Adrián Manceras who‘s kind enough to let us take a look in his atelier where he crafted Gaga‘s opening number: a fabulous cocktail dress showered in champagne sequins, finest crystals and delicate fringe trimmings!
Tumblr media
I can‘t help but notice how Gaga sticks to the same designer when it comes to the opening number‘s look. From headpiece down to the shoes. Yet, she changes the design every time she comes back to Vegas.
Here, she‘s donning yet another insane showgirl-inspired headdress with turkey feathers and Swarovski crystals by the ever-so talented Arturo Rios who sent me this image JUST for your eyes!
Tumblr media
The Italian-American entertainer topped her look off with a new custom pair of Laruicci crystal statement earrings
Tumblr media
Her favorite Jimmy Choo metallic silver Anouk stiletto pumps provided the finishing touches.
Tumblr media
The choice of purple was as unexpected as the combination of sequins, feathers (provided by Mother Plucker Feather Company), and PVC. Yet, this look struck me the most, standing out in a sea of bold fashion statements!
Delving into La Maison Gaga reveals an intriguing history behind her glamorous wardrobe. LA-based designer Michael Costello has been crafting stunning caftans for Gaga for a decade. His journey with her began in 2014 when he designed a sequined piece similar to this one for her "Cheek to Cheek! Live" performance . This collaboration marked the start of a creative partnership that has since produced numerous iconic looks, each more dazzling than the last.
Tumblr media
Michael also collaborated with Gladys Tamez Millinery on the halo-like black feather pillbox headpiece!
Tumblr media
New York City-based heritage jewelry brand A.JAFFE created some of the earrings, including these teardrop stunners!
Tumblr media
Gaga surprised her audience last night with a special rendition of "Americano". It‘s been 12 years since she performed that song!
For this act of the show, Perry Meek whipped out a stunning dress even Jessica Rabbit wouldn't pass upon.
Crafted from red crystal mesh, this dress features an off-the-shoulder hourglass silhouette, trimmed with red ostrich feathers. And it comes with a matching coat!
Tumblr media
Her Harriet wired red feather fascinator is a hand-made piece by Carrie Jenkinson Millinery ($331.79), one of the UK's leading fashion milliners.
Tumblr media
This white-gold crescent earring set surrounded by differently cut diamonds is another A.JAFFE design.
Tumblr media
And I hope I’m not the only one who‘s drooling over these Jimmy Choo Romy crystal-encrusted red pumps.
Tumblr media
Then, Gaga stuns on stage in a total Giorgio Armani look which comprises this plush black velvet strapless bustier column dress with crystal band embellishment ($4,777) and the Fall/Winter 2018 Privé Haute Couture pink ostrich feather coat she previously wore for her V Magazine 2019 cover!
Tumblr media
Gaga's MUA Sarah Tanno-Stewart collaborated with Face Lace on all the differently designed crystal eye stickers for the residency!
Tumblr media
LG debuted a bunch of new looks on her second night and the uber-talented Michael Costello had another wonder up his sleeve when he revealed this stunner to me yesterday morning - a custom sparkly black and gold sequin silk chiffon caftan with incorporated metal belt, shoulder pads, plunging neck and daring open sides, based on Michael's upcoming "DNA" collection!
He also created her matching custom ruched faux leather gloves and feather boa in collaboration with Mother Plucker Feather Company.
Tumblr media
What's a good jazz stage look without a fun plummeted hat to top it off? British milliner Carrie Jenkinson Millinery made sure to exceed stagewear standards with her Spring/Summer 2024 Selina feather hat (£520).
Tumblr media
Her go-to performance shoes: the timeless Jimmy Choo Anouk black patent leather pumps ($675).
Tumblr media
Malaysian couture design house Rizman Ruzaini joined the game by crafting a show-stopping red chiffon cape dress showered in Swarovski crystals. Thanks so much for these exclusive behind-the-seams photos!
She also brought back her Larisa Barrera vintage 1993 crystal necklace.
Tumblr media
Gaga gave us an epic performance of "La Vie En Rose", dressed in rose silk satin caftan-style layered dress with stripped coque feathers, custom-made for her by Ukrainian fashion label Santa Brands.
Tumblr media
This look was completed with a bunch of stellar accessories, including the Carrie Jenkinson Millinery Spring/Summer 2024 Valencia exploding feather fascinator (£579)...
Tumblr media
...the Swarovski Millenia octagon-cut crystal bib necklace...
Tumblr media
... and the Cornelia James Melissa opera-length black velvet gloves (£160).
Tumblr media
If the dress from the third night's opening seems familiar to you, it's because she's worn this custom Natali Germanotta x Debra Cooper blue sequin fringed cocktail number back in 2019 before!
Tumblr media
This look got a black version of the aforementioned Arturo Rios turkey feather and Swarovski crystal headpiece.
Tumblr media
It‘s Michael Costello‘s world and we‘re just living in it! His third custom dress for our girl's third night is this uuuuuultra sexy black satin number with one-shoulder caftan silhouette, trimmed with luxurious ostrich feathers by Mother Plucker Feather Company and featuring beaded appliqués on the shoulder and waist.
Tumblr media
It was finished off with this vintage Philip Treacy 1996 black feather firework headpiece which has already been previously worn by Gaga back in London in 2015!
Tumblr media
For the fourth show (June 29), LG brought out another Michael Costello x Mother Plucker Feather Company confection — a black-as-the-night satin caftan, showered in small jet crystals and trimmed with feathers.
Tumblr media
It was only a matter of time before she brought out a fairytale headpiece by milliner Piers Atkinson.
From his archives, she opted for the Fall/Winter 2021 "Triptych" collection elevated black ostrich feather pompom fascinator with beaded tassels.

Ali Judeh Weds Tamara Rasamny on 16 May 2024
Ali Nasser Judeh, the son of Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan of Jordan and former Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, married Tamara Rasamny in Amman, Jordan. The couple got engaged last August.
The Lebanese bride wore a handful of Lebanese designs. Her white dress is by Lebanese designer Maison Rabih Kayrouz, made in Beirut. Her shoes, a bespoke creation, were designed by her British designer of Lebanese origin and former employer, Jennifer Chamandi, especially for her wedding day. The pumps featured a small plaque on the bottom, commemorating the special occasion, while a custom clutch she wore bore the initials of the bride and groom, adding a personal touch to her ensemble. Her earrings are from L’atelier Nawbar, a Lebanese brand known for its intricate designs and fine craftsmanship and a pair of stunning hoop earrings from Boghossian. For Tamara, it was essential to wear creations by Lebanese designers, paying homage to her heritage and supporting local artisans on her special day. Ali donned a bespoke suit from the renowned Savile Row tailor, Gieves & Hawkes.
Ali and Tamara first met at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where they studied.
The groom is a grandson of Prince El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan. Judeh studied at Harrow School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 2018.
Tamara, the granddaughter of prominent Lebanese journalist Salim Lawzi, and daughter of Ramzy and the late Maya Rasamny, has a deep appreciation for Middle Eastern culture and art. She first enrolled at Georgetown University's Art & Art History programme before transferring to The New School (Parsons) where she graduated with a degree in Integrated Design in 2018. She worked in London before her marriage.

A taste of SirDavis whisky by Beyoncé 🥃
Three years ago Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, as an enthusiast of Japanese whisky, sought out Moët Hennessy to help craft a one-of-a-kind flavour profile that reflected her tastes in the spirit - and her Texan heritage.
It also happened that the spirits makers at Moët Hennessy had been exploring ways to widen the company’s presence in the competitive American whisky market, making the timing perfect for a formal partnership between the two.
Beyoncé partnered with LVMH subsidiary Moët Hennessy for her American whiskey, and Dr Bill Lumsden, LVMH’s extraordinary spirits maker and the man behind such spirited delights from Glenmorangie and Ardbeg single malt whiskies, was tasked with the job of figuring out how to develop a softer, sweeter style of American whisky, which draws its influence from the Japanese whiskies Beyoncé was familiar with.
Tumblr media
Lumsden hit upon a mixture of grains for the whisky’s foundations: 51% rye grain, which historically was the style used heavily in the pre-prohibition era of American whiskey, often bringing peppery/spicy flavours - and 49% malted barley, the backbone behind the characterful soft-yet-complex flavoured single malts crafted in Scotland and Japan.
The whisky was then given a double maturation in two kinds of cask: firstly in American white oak, bringing swathes of vanilla, coconut and citrus zest, and then ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks (highly unusual in the wider canon of American whisky-making,) for a final period of around six to nine months, to give deeper, richer, fruity notes.
The ‘Sir’ in question is in fact Davis Hogue, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s paternal great-grandfather, who was a farmer and a moonshiner in the Prohibition era, hiding whisky bottles in the empty knots of cedar trees, to be discovered by his friends. Fittingly, the Sir was added before his first name to give him his deserved respect to truly honour his lasting legacy.
The bottle design by the multi-award winning studio, Stranger & Stranger also gives credence to his legacy, with his initials, DH, inscribed into the base, and the entire creative process overseen by Knowles-Carter, whose brief was for a tall, eye-catching bottle with minimalistic, intentional design elements that serves as an emblem of power and luxury. With its ribbed glass, it uses no front labels besides a ‘SirDavis’ medallion, showcasing a bronzed horse in profile: a reference to Knowles-Carter’s Texas roots and symbolising both strength and respect.
LVMH GROUP

LÉGENDES DU JAZZ
ARTHUR BLYTHE, UN MUSICIEN HORS-NORMES
“The music that I deal with has elements of bebop to ballad, swing to sweet, blues to boogie, and pop to rock. If I have the ability to do that, I should be able to do whatever I want to do in those areas — because I am dealing with the tradition, and my culture, and my heritage.”
- Arthur Blythe
En 1977, le critique du New York Times Robert Palmer avait décrit le style de Blythe de la façon suivante: “He is sly; he teases the beat, toys with polyrhythms and leaves gaping holes in the fabric of the music, only to come roaring back in with plangent held tones or crisp, punching riffs.”
Dans sa revue des albums des années 1970, le critique Robert Christgau avait salué en 1981 la puissance du jeu de Blythe en déclarant que : "like so many of the new players Blythe isn't limited to modern methods by his modernism—he favors fluent, straight-ahead Coltrane modalities, but also demonstrates why he belongs on a tune for Cannonball."
En 1982, le critique Francis Davis avait d’ailleurs reconnu la capacité de Blythe à réconcilier les styles musicaux en écrivant que le saxophoniste ‘’may well prove to be the magic figure of reconciliation, the force for consensus, that modern jazz has been looking for in vain since the death of John Coltrane in 1967.” Comme Blythe l’avait expliqué à l’historien Ben Sidran en 1986 : “The music that I deal with has elements of bebop to ballad, swing to sweet, blues to boogie, and pop to rock. If I have the ability to do that, I should be able to do whatever I want to do in those areas — because I am dealing with the tradition, and my culture, and my heritage.”
I would love for everyone to accept my music, and I would love to make money, but only by keeping my music on the cutting edge”.
Le saxophoniste ténor David Murray, dont Blythe était un des modèles, avait déclaré après sa mort : “It was pretty much undisputed that Arthur Blythe was the best alto saxophonist out there on the West Coast.”

LADY GAGA SINGS AT THE OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY IN CUSTOM DIOR HAUTE COUTURE
Lady Gaga took the center stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony where she performed a show-stopping rendition of "Mon Truc en Plumes" at the side of the iconic Seine river.
Styling by Sandra Amador & Tom Eerebout. Photos by Rémi Lamandé.
Tumblr media
Gaga commissioned the French heritage fashion house of Dior to create her peel-away look for her and all her dancers (who all held pom poms from Le Lido archive).
Tumblr media
Her Haute Couture stage look included a black ostrich feather cropped jacket, a detachable long skirt (made from naturally molted feathers provided by Maison Février) with beaded fringes on the hips, a structured bustier with amphora line and corselette and matching shorts, and opera-length gloves.
Tumblr media
Now about the accessories. The Italian-American beauty crowned her cabaret showgirl ensemble with a plume headdress created by British milliner master Stephen Jones for Dior!
The superstar also later added a white exploding feather showgirl waist accessory that the French maison made for the last bit of the performance.
Tumblr media
Gaga decided to ditch her usual Jimmy Choos for once and instead opted to perform in a pair of Dior Dioressence patent calfskin leather pumps in black with tonal stitching.

He added, "Without being politicians or activists, Kassav' carried it all. From our faces to the themes in our songs, everything was very clear: We were West Indian, there should be no mistake, we wanted to mark our difference."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of his bands in the 1970s, Zulu Gang, included musicians from Cameroon. Mr. Desvarieux also worked with the Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango, who had the international hit "Soul Makossa."
In 1979, in Paris, Mr. Desvarieux met Pierre-Edouard Decimus, a musician from Guadeloupe with an ambitious concept for a new band: strongly rooted in the West Indies but reaching outward. "We were looking to find a soundtrack that synthesized all the traditions and previous sounds, but that could be exported everywhere," Mr. Desvarieux said.
Kassav' was named after a Guadeloupean dish, a cassava-flour pancake, and also after ka, a drum. A zouk was a dance party, and a 1984 hit by Mr. Desvarieux, "Zouk-La-Se-Sel Medikaman Nou Ni" ("Zouk Is the Only Medicine We Have"), made the word zouk synonymous with the band's style.
Tumblr media
In Luanda, the capital of Angola, there is a museum of zouk, La Maison du Zouk, that has a collection of 10,000 albums. Mr. Desvarieux and Pierre-Edouard Decimus attended its opening in 2012.
Tumblr media
Throughout the band's career, even after Kassav' was signed to multinational labels and encouraged to sing in English, the band's lyrics were always in French Antilles Creole, insisting on its island heritage.
"The music is a stronger language than the language itself," Mr. Desvarieux said in 1986.
