Media Storage Cabinets Ipswich
Store media and audio visual equipment in secure, organized cabinets. Wenger's fixed media storage cabinets feature full length wood doors secured with a metal lockable latch. Choose from different sizes, mix and match interior with adjustable components, shelves, slide out shelves and a file drawer. Mobile media storage carts have a durable work surface on top and are lockable to prevent theft.
Organize Your Electronics
The right storage can help you put an end to electronic chaos. A simple tray can corral remotes, notepads and stray DVDs or CDs to keep your space clean and organized. Look for one with handles to hold pencils and pens, too.
Dedicated cabinets designed specifically for media and audio visual equipment offer a customized fit for your facility. Mobile products feature lockable drawers and doors while fixed cabinets offer adjustable shelves, rackmount sections and an organizer option.
Make the most of your room’s vertical space with a shelving unit that doubles as a desk or console. Add a multiport dock to the back of a credenza to power up electronics and tame cord clutter. Alternatively, a wall-mounted charging station can hold phones, tablets and laptops in a sleek, hidden enclosure. A cabinet maker Ipswich can design and build custom storage solutions to meet your needs. They will collaborate with you to understand your storage needs, create detailed plans and drawings, select materials based on factors like durability and cost and install the solution in designated spaces.
Organize Your Music
Category 5: Business District Management/Organization
There is an entity that keeps abreast of conditions and advocates for downtown businesses with public sector and non profit entities regarding services, policies and tourism activities. In addition, there is effective coordination/cooperation among downtown businesses in regards to promotions, events and other activities.
Organize your music collection with fixed media storage cabinets that sit on the floor or mount on the wall and cut sheet music storage by more than half. Desktop products make organizing your discs easy for collections up to 100. Portable disc wallets let you take your music and movies with you.
The business density of downtown Ipswich is less than Newburyport, Manchester, Salem and Winchester. However, there is a mix of retail businesses including Greek and Italian fine-dining restaurants, pubs, Asian, a coffee and ice cream shop and a brewery/rum distillery with more to come. A lively schedule of events is a key to generating traffic, building a bond between residents and the downtown district and making potential customers aware of shopping and dining options.
Organize Your Books
The Atlantic Venus Media Storage Cabinet is a good option for storing books, CDs, Blu-ray discs, and other collectibles. Its adjustable shelves provide plenty of space for your collection, and its weathered oak design fits nicely into small spaces. It also features wide side panels and a wall anchor kit to help ensure stability. Some reviewers have experienced issues with assembly and sturdiness, but overall this cabinet is a great value for the price.
Whether you’re organizing music, movies, or books, Media Storage Cabinets Ipswich can help you create a well-organized storage solution that’s easy to access and easy to keep clean. The key is to choose a unit with enough space for your collection and a design that complements your room’s aesthetic. You should also look for a unit that has proper ventilation to avoid moisture and humidity buildup. This can damage your valuables over time. Lastly, be sure to clean your storage cabinet regularly to remove dust and dirt buildup.

Your Wedding Could Be One For The Ages
A wedding is an event of supreme importance to its participants. The entire point and purpose of a wedding is to be as memorable as possible; planning a wedding takes a great deal of effort and care. In this article a few ideas will be presented that might help make a wedding more memorable, and easier to carry off. If you can't have a limo for your wedding, dress up the cars you're going in. Put on crepe paper flowers, streamers and whatever else the owner will let you dress it up with. It will make you feel like you have your own customized coach, so you don't really need a limo anyway. If you're already living with your spouse-to-be and don't really need housewares for wedding gifts, ask for cash instead. If you include a cute little poem asking people to consider giving you a cash gift instead of something you can't use, you'll be saving them the time it takes to shop and helping pay for your honeymoon! Coordinate small touches into all the aspects of the wedding decor. Try using ribbons on the bouquet that go with those on the centerpieces, or try adding them to your gown or your hair. These small details help tie everything together to create a beautiful wedding. If you are planning a wedding, consider keeping your guest list on the smaller side. You can save money by having not so many guests. You can show your small number of guests' greater details such as large gift baskets, large meals, and limo services. This can be paid for just by reducing your guest list. Wedding bands are a vital part of the wedding, as they help to signify the joining of two parties. Make sure that on the days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding itself to have someone who you can count on keep track of your wedding bands to ensure security. Remember that the reception is the time for you to let loose, but do not act too wild as your in-laws will be at the wedding. Make sure that you dance and have the time of your life with your friends as you will cherish these moments for the rest of your life. Find out before your wedding ceremony when and where you are permitted to take photographs. Some venues won't permit flash photography at all, while some officiants don't want anyone taking photos while they are conducting the ceremony. If you find out the rules ahead of time you can plan out the shots you are allowed to take beforehand. Brides should take the time to practice walking in their wedding shoes and dress so that they will be comfortable and graceful on their big day. Go with wedding photography packages manchester if you're worried about twisting an ankle. Sexy footwear won't do you any good if you wind up falling on your bum. Having a family member photograph your wedding can save you a lot of money, but you have to remember that you'll get what you pay for. They probably won't have expensive lighting rigs or the latest camera equipment, so your shots will end up looking less than professional. That said, they can still be beautiful, so don't worry! Just don't have high expectations that could make your family member feel guilty. If you are attending a wedding, make sure to bring a gift or a card and arrive on time. Once the processional has started, you won't be able to be seated until after it has finished, and unless you are a close personal friend, it may be awkward to have you standing in the foyer watching the bridal party as they prepare to walk down the aisle. To avoid the pitfalls of currency exchange for your guests, find out where they have to go to get local funds before they arrive. Take everyone as a group to the location where you can exchange your money and call ahead to ask if they can accommodate everyone at the same time, maybe in a room outside the main area, so they don't have to wait in line. Good wedding planning strikes a delicate balance between convenience and memorability. The ideal wedding is one that sticks in the minds of all the participants without requiring huge expenditures of effort and money. The tips in this article might help improve a wedding without costing a fortune. wedding photographer manchester is a worthy goal to strive for, and that goal need not be hard to achieve.

again, your new john stones fic blew me away!!! Amazing. Please feel free to write about him all day every day!! <3
thank you again!! here’s another sweet one inspired by my own 1am experience tonight :) i wish I had a john stones
My hero
Tumblr media
Your heart is quite literally thundering in your chest. There’s no feeling like it, this kind of fear that sticks you to the ground beneath your feet. You honestly feel like you can’t catch your breath, tears streaking down over your flushed cheeks as you hold your phone in your right hand with trembling fingers, one thumb finally letting go of the little microphone shaped drawing in your iMessages app. Even the whooshing sound of the message you knew was about to send to your best friend catches you off guard, making your shoulders clench and raise in fright.
“Are you seriously alright??”
She texts back, her confusion and teasing is something you know is laced into those letters across the screen creating a glow in the dim room. You roll your eyes at her, trying to keep your vision up while sending another voice note back; “No, seriously. Why does this only ever happen when I’m alone??”
“Probably because you live alone?” She replies back, and you curse yourself for a choice of friends who clearly have no empathy for what you consider to be a very serious situation. You know you won’t hear the end of this teasing once it’s all over. But the fear to you is all too real.
“(Y/n) I got your text! Came right here, are you alright?”
The sudden voice makes you literally clench your entire body, nearly shooting off the floor in fright and making one of those internalised fear noises that sounds like you just been attacked with a taser. You hear keys dropping down by the door and then a pause of his footsteps as you try to catch your breath. Your heart swells a little at the thought of him being here.
“John!” You yelp, your voice coming out something more like a strangled cry. The tall defender hears that sound and finds himself in panic, those long legs carrying him quickly and easily up the stairs of your small home until he spots you standing now in the doorway of your bedroom. He rushes towards you, seemingly checking you over for potential injuries the best he can in the darkness only broken by the lowest setting of flashlight on your phone. The first thing he notices when checking over your face with his hands is the wetness still making its way over your cheeks.
“Are you alright? what happened? Is there someone in there? Are you okay? Did someone hurt-“
You cut off his rambling with a finger over his lips, creating even more confusion for the fluffy haired brunette who had very clearly rolled himself out of bed to hurry over here. He was wearing shoes without socks, dirty shorts from training that he’d thrown off before going to bed only to pull back in to come to your, and an old sweater that usually sat somewhere downstairs in the closet closest to the door. It was obvious he had come in a wild rush the second he got your erratic message.
“It’s a wasp, John!” You whisper, as if the little creature that sitting on your lightbulb unwilling to move from the place you couldn’t reach and wouldn’t dare to even if you could, was able to hear you.
“A wasp?” John repeats incredulously. “Seriously?”
You nod vigorously, and and as much as the exhausted footballer wants to complain or even sigh at you, he doesn’t. Maybe he can’t. Because he’s got his arms around you and he definitely can feel you quivering against him. He had expected something more along the lines of a one night stand gone wrong or even someone breaking it, but as his consciousness began to catch back up with his previously very sleepy self, it made a lot more sense. In the event of a break in, you would probably have been bloody calmer than you are now to be honest. John had seen you after a pretty dangerous car crash completely still and relatively calm as you gave statements to police officers with blood still trickling down your face. But put an insect in your path and you scaled the closest thing to you for protection.
It just so happened that closest thing was often John Stones, and he was happy to be that person really.
It has become a norm between the two of you in the years you had been friends. Winter was the worst for spiders, but he generally didn’t mind the mildly irritating insects. He just got rid of them one way or another while you hid as far as you could get and then he’d come get you when the coast was clean. But you hated summer for this particular reason.
Wasps.
They fly in, fly into things and somehow never make it back on the window on their own despite it being the most easy thing one could ever imagine. Then, they try and sting you as if they aren’t in your house. They just creep you out, even the sight of them with their nasty little bodies. Bees aren’t a problem, they’re fuzzy looking and don’t intrude in your home nearly half as much. Also, they don’t try to sting you all the damn time.
“Where abouts?” He asks, his voice showing no hint of any destain or irritation he may harbour. “On the light,” you tell him shakily, following close to him back as you both enter the room. “Right up there- careful!”
John sniggers a little to himself, much to your dismay. He kicks off his shoes by your bedside table and climbs up onto the bed with ease on those ridiculously long legs. By luck, chance or both, he has some toilet paper in his hoodie pocket that he’d probably used to wipe his nose or something like that earlier, he can’t remember. He holds it out at arms length, only inches away form the unsuspecting black and yellow insect. “Where?” He asks again, “I can’t see anything.”
“There!” You insist, pointing up with a shaking finger. “I don’t see anything (y/n).” He repeats, making you whimper slightly, more tears suddenly appearing as you try to come to terms with the fact it might’ve moved while you were outside the room. The thought of having to sleep in your house while not knowing where it was would send you absolutely mental. “It was there I swear, look-“
“Ahhh, I got it. Stand back.”
He leans forward with relative ease, careful with the force he used so close to a live electric source and grips the buzzing creature in his tissue. “There we go,” he hums, stepping down from the bed. “All go-“
As if on cue, it flies out of the paper and you let loose a literal shriek as you dive backwards, crashing into the wall and then jumping forward in fright at that. “Woah!” John calls, “it’s alright, it’s right there. Calm, calm. Take a deep breath. Look,” he tries to calm you. That deep accent with his fatigue coating each word seeps into you, carefully calming your firing heart as he grabs it tighter from the floor, making sure he squashed it this time and immediately takes it to flush it down the toilet. John doesn’t know if you’re supposed to kill them or not, but at this moment in time he genuinely does not care. Was he fuck going to chase a wasp out of a window at half past one in the morning. Not a chance.
When he returns from the bathroom now empty handed, you still seem upset.
“That was scary.” You announce.
John smiles, pearly whites all on display. “I noticed.” He teases, making you scowl tiredly at him.
That scowl falters when his smile breaks into a light, soft laugh and he moves to stand in front of you. You absolutely don’t mind the fact that he’s babying you a little, using the sleeves of his sweater to wipe your cheeks before pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead and taking you into his strong arms. In fact, it’s very much welcomed. His arms are the safest place in the world to you and even the residual discomforted shivers from the concept of a wasp in your bedroom couldn’t get through that defender. He looks after a lot more than just the Manchester City goal line. No, he’s the sole defender of something much more precious that he doesn’t even realise.
Your heart.
“You okay now?” He asks softly, his tired voice rumbling through you. You nod against him, “Feeling a bit better. Thank you Stonesy.” You mumble, words muffled by the muscled chest that your face his resting against. “Anything for you, lovely.” He responds easily, pulling back from you in a way that aches his heart. The sudden lack of your warmth and presence against him is utterly brutal. He loves holding you, but hates it in the same breath. He would love to hold you if it was something he got to do freely instead of fleetingly.
His eyes are stuck watching you sit down on the edge of your bed to grab your phone and check the time with an element of shock rolling through your eyes when you realise it’s nearly two.
“You got training tomorrow?” You ask sweetly, a yawn following the tail end of your words adorable in a way that makes John’s heart flutter like a teenage boy. He nods, “Not till after dinner though, around 5.”
It’s your turn to nod, seeming to be chewing over something in thought as you lie down in the middle of your bed.
“Wanna stay then?”
John has to pretend to think about it at least a little bit so he doesn’t look like he’s jumping right up at the opportunity, which is exactly what he wants to do. “Why not,” he shrugs, chucking off his hoodie to the foot of your bed, “Scoot over.”
He clambers in, long limbs moving nowhere near as coordinated as they are on the pitch as he lays down by your right. It’s like a familiar dance, one you both know so well as you shuffle around so you can lay against his chest, one leg hooked over him as his arm wraps around you to pull you even closer. A silence falls between you as he feels your eyelashes fluttering shut, tickling his chest. He can’t find that same relaxation, can’t seem to shut his eyes for the thoughts flying through his mind all at once.
“I should teach you how to catch them.” John states, rumbling voice interrupting the peaceful quiet in which you had nearly found sleep. “You know, for the future.” He adds almost flippantly. Almost.
“Why?” You hum groggily, sleep croaking your voice ever so slightly. “I got you.”
John has to pretend your half asleep admission doesn’t send his heart flying into his throat. You do always have him, right there in the palm of your hand. Always.
“I don’t think other guys would appreciate me barging into their house in the middle of the night.” He suggests, making you quirk an eyebrow in question, but you still don’t look up at him and he isn’t even sure if you’ve got your eyes fully open. “No other guys here,” you state, “Single, living all alone.” You add lazily. The words almost make John wonder if he has fallen asleep, each one spoke playing straight into the dream he’s had for years for you to be his.
“Yeah, I know but…but there will be, at some point.” He suggests. You give no response for a moment and he briefly thinks you’ve fallen asleep at some point in this conversation.
“Bet those other guys wouldn’t come get rid of wasps for me in the middle of the night like you do.”
“Maybe,” John shrugs, “but I think there’s plenty of guys like that, especially for you.”
He feels you shake your head against him, your words decisive as you speak;
“There are no guys like you, John Stones.”
His words and his breath are caught on his throat, his heart erupting in his chest as he replays those words in his mind, trying to figure out if he had actually just heard them or if his tired mind was playing tricks on him because it was so late and he hadn’t had enough sleep.
But then you look up at him with tired eyes and a sweet smile. You know what you’ve just done, know the bomb you’ve just dropped and you’re hoping with everything crossed that he feels the same way.
“You’re my hero, Stonesy.” You say softly, your voice now a little sheepish and he can barely just make out the flush of your cheeks in the dim room lighting. “And I love you with everything I have.”
He doesn’t know what to say, his eyes wide as his heart beats as erratically as he had felt yours beating when he first arrived with fear coursing through his veins thinking you were in some kind of mortal peril.
“John?” You ask timidly, voice sheepish as you sit up in fear.
“Sorry,” he rumbles, pushing himself to a seated position, allowing him to lean forward and slide his hand around the back of your head to pull you into him, your lips crashing down onto his.
It’s just about everything he’s ever wanted.
“God I love you.” He says against your lips, a groan leaving his throat from pure satisfaction, pure relief of finally getting those words off of his chest. You giggle, resting back against his chest. “Can we sleep now, please?”
He nods, both of you shuffling so you can resume the position you had been in before a life changing confession that had spun you and the Barnsley brunette into the kiss that had been years in waiting. This was the happiest either of you had probably ever been.
“Guess we have the wasps to thank for this eh?” John lulls just as sleep is about to encompass you. He feels you shiver against him, the hairs on your arms immediately raising to attention at the mention of that which you hate so much.
“Don’t say that! That’s basically an invitation for them to invade my house!” You hiss, giving his chest a gentle swat as he pulls you closer to his side.
“Let them come,” he says almost triumphantly, “You got me now, always.”
You cosy yourself against him, a soft sigh of complete content and comfort tickling his chest as it dances across him. He feels that gentle smile that settles onto your gestures as your heavy eyes allow sleep to truly begin to take you.
“Always,” you mumble, words diluted by sleep “My hero.”

---------------------------
It was the last time I have stepped inside that safehouse in my entire life and honestly, it was all for the better. That place, a lot of things happened and there were for an large part bad and a small part was only good. The bad ones....were the most shocking to remember and the most suffering to relive : still seeing me tied up on that stretcher in that room, getting revealed that I was just in fact a Perseus agent brainwashed by the CIA and all of that, been told by my closest person I have met but now, it was something done in my live. Destroying that place down can help me forget about this but it can't be undone at all.
After I got myself in an argument with Sims, over the loss of Adler in Stitch hands, I was much more relieved to finally leave this place behind, not even looking back as we drove away of it, Park having taken the wheel to get to our new safehouse in West-Berlin. I was still nonetheless nervous to stay again in the city but we had no choice : Stone has a warehouse in town and it was our first objective within the team Park is organizing with me.....hope that everything will be okay.
The drive was in fact not so long to live more about 10 minutes depending on traffic as we were arrived at our destination : a nice-looking house in the Gatow district at the south-western Berlin just next to the Havelsee lake. This place.....even if I was nearly hating the city, it could help me to feel more better in here. Park revealed to me that she indeed came here a lot, explaining almost the layout of the house as we stepped out of the car....said that I'm going to be well in here.
"Our new home ?" I told Park in a fake curious tone as I was unloading my bag from the car trunk and her, having already done it, awaiting for me.
"You got it right." She replied, having her bags in hands with me closing the trunk, finished. "Will be the place where we will coordinate our operations against Stone."
"And if we got something on Stone and his little accomplices not in Berlin ?" I asked her.
"Then, we will move to a temporary other safehouse but that place is staying like our main HQ." She added in her response before gesturing at me as she started to walk to the house porch "Come on, let's install ourselves." She winked, making me blush as I joined her pretty quickly on the porch. There were nobody to greet us here and instead, Park had to check under the carpet....to find the house keys.....very classic...
"The good old trick of the keys under the carpet...." I thought to myself as Park was inserting the leys in the lock before finally opening the door to discover the house's interior. "Wow !" I breathed, almost astonished by the beauty of the place.....more pretty than the house in the New Orleans...It was very much different than this place the CIA wanted to call 'a safehouse'
"Welcome home.....Yiri !" Park taunted me as she walk to get to the living room and the kitchen jointed that was just next to the entrance. "Here's our 'operations room'." She showed me the living room, with again an complete dashboard, this time filled with intels on Stone.
"I already feeling at home." I said to her who gave me an smile.
"That's the goal of that safehouse, you know..." She rolled her eyes before she put her own bag on a special table as I do the same as her.
"MI6 safehouses..." I whispered to myself, wondering if all the MI6 places were looking so damn nice as I walked to get to one of the couch of the room. "So...." I started, getting myself comfy in that couch "Can you talk about your friends that will join the team ?"
"Of course." She nodded, moving to a table to have her hands on two files that Park asked from those tasked to prepare the safehouse. "Let's start with Garett." She handed me the first file of her left hand that I took in hand.
"Garrett Donovan....born in Manchester in 1951 and joined the MI6 in 1975...specialized in counter-espionage & almost everything in combat." I read his file, impressed by his qualities and skills as Park was looking at me, maybe wondering what I was thinking. "Seems like a nice guy."
"Garrett has been my friend since we both joined the MI6 at the same time two years after my brother's death in 1973." She explained more, feeling a little bit sad to talk about that sad event. I remember seeing that back in the old days in the old 'safehouse' but it's a too much sensible subject to talk about with her. "Gotta to say that he's someone very important."
"I'm pretty sure of that." I exclaimed, putting the file.
"You know, he's the guy who if you ask him something, he will make sure you will have it the next day." She proclaimed as she knows him very well. "He's got a lot of contacts that will help us."
"I guess that asking him to bring us Perseus's head and saving Adler's ass is too much to ask." I laughed about it and she followed too.
"Of course." She breathed before she handed me the other file as I gave her back the file about Garrett. "Here's the file about Greta." After that, she decided to sit on the other couch of the room.
"Greta Keller...born in Hamburg in 1952 and she joined the BND in 1977...qualified as the best element in BND...also specialized in counter-espionage and more into hand-to-hand combat." I looked at her file, curious about that woman I saw once in my life in East-Berlin. "Quite a profile." I looked at Park who was looking a little troubled.
"About Greta, we know each other since she joined the BND." She started, joining her hands together, trying to reassure herself, it seems. "She was always working with us in our team I was with Garrett, Stone and the other one called Megan." She looked at the dashboard, at the same picture she had in her office, the one where everyone is present. "Listen, it might be going to be complicated between you & Greta when....when she will learn about us."
"Really ?" I redressed myself in the couch, curious to hear that part of the story.
"Let's just say that before I was assigned to Adler, we were hooking up, not longer together anymore but it was an mean to forget the world we were now." She said, almost blushing embarrassed about it and to say, she was right to do that and I wasn't embarrassed, just curious. "When I told her of my feelings towards us at her, it was after that East-Berlin mission just before I heal you up." My eyes went wide after hearing this, still curious but damn stuned by that.
"Wow, quite a story." I exclaimed, taking a breath. "Listen, I'm okay that she is joining the team, I'm sure that it will be okay." I added, sure of myself about her & Greta. "When will the two arrive ?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm going to call them now." She got up from her couch, walking back to her bag to grab a satellite phone. "I will call outside, you can check up things on the dashboard." She smiled at me before leaving the room to get outside by behind.
Once she was out of the house for making her calls, I stayed at least 2 minutes in the couch to admire the beauty of the living room before I decided to walk next to the dashboard, to look at the pieces of intels we have on our operation against Stone and his goons. We will be entirely focused on him but if we found something related to Adler, Park will relate those to Woods's team....can't really believe right now that I'm trying to save the Russell Adler, the one that brainwashed me and left me for dead....what a life !....
I took a look on the dashboard, my eyes focusing on Harry Stone's records file from the SAS : he was born in May 6th 1948 in the UK, his birthplace apparently a classified information. According to the records files, Stone was described as a solid soldier, prone to play by his own rules by his former ex-colleagues. Someone named Price Sr. talked about a man that is very effective despite having troubles with the authority and the mysterious part of Stone past. Stone was one of Park's close friends starting to 1975 when she joined the MI6 until he faked his death in October 1980 during an risky operation in the USSR.
As I saw in this dashboard, Stone participated in the Nimrod operation, making him an hero in the SAS and his status wasn't even touched even when his true allegiance was discovered by Park and the MI6 in 1983 during the mysterious 'Goldeneye' operation. Guess that we will have to watch out about that. At looking at his picture, my eyes squeezed, making me a very small pain in my head, remembering him in my dreams...that moment when he stormed the room after that obscure mission that I don't even remember.
After that, I looked at the group picture with all of Park's friends : to say that we're hunting down one of her former friends. I was focused on it when Park came back in the living room, having finished in her calls.
"Both has been warned of the mission : they will both arrive tomorrow." She started, putting her phone back on the table she put her bag. "Garrett was in a mission in Canada while Greta was working in Moscow."
"So, for now, we just wait for them as the house is ours until they arrived..." I put my hands on my waist, looking at her with an smile before I looked at the picture. "Who was Megan ? You talked briefly about her." I asked.
"Megan was Stone's lover in the MI6 that was with him all this time." She replied, leaning against one of the room's wall. "She was the other one who faked her death too." She added, biting her lips.
"What happened to her ?"
"I....well....I killed her during the operation that has stopped 'Goldeneye' to happen." She wasn't looking relieved of that even if that Megan was also Perseus like Stone "She allowed Stone to escape and since, Stone is very mad against me because of her death."
"I think it was his idea to kidnap you at the beginning of the month." I turned back to see her, still thinking about seeing her tied up again. "Do you think we can succeed against him ?"
"We had to, Yirina." She exclaimed at me, sure of herself. "Stone is a man we need to brought down and you know that well." She added, almost raising her voice against me, surprising me. "Shit, didn't mean to raise my voice." She apologized.
"It's okay." I whispered before I looked at her with an smile "Hey, let's get ourselves installed well, shall we ?" I proposed and she nodded.
"Yeah, we have the house for us for the moment, so we're going to profit." She affirmed as we started to get our things done.
We started to unpack our belongings around the operations room, adding the intels we took in her office back at Century House on a side of the dashboard and once we were done, Park finally make me visit the house itself as we were more focused to talk about the mission than to directly visit the place. The house had a big view on the lake and it was so relaxing like in the New Orleans. For inside the house, it was like in the New Orleans except for one thing : there were a bedroom for me & Park and not even separate....we took it at the second we saw it.
Once the visit was done, we started to work on the intels that was given to us by the team charged to prepare the safehouse and those we got from Park's office, trying to find something we maybe missed in all the paperworks. Of course, we searched for things that could help us on the warehouse Stone had in West-Berlin but nothing in all of this gave us something. Actually, we know where that's warehouse is thanks to the message I have decoded from the MI5 but we wanted to know more about it.
Then, it was time for us to eat while working : Park was the one to make food and to be honest in my opinions, she was really good at it. The dishes she made.....it was so lovely and tasting more better than an Burger Town burger even if those burgers are good, Park's food was way more nice to eat. After we finished to eat with me complimenting her talents, we continued to work, making some suppositions and theories about Stone and nothing was leading us anywhere. At 11 AM, Park decided that it was done for her, getting herself to our room as I stayed in the living room.
"You're coming ?" She asked me loudly...in a lovely voice as she was upstairs in our room, awaiting for me.
"Yes, just finished my part of work." I replied, also loudly, my eyes on the dashboard.
"Be quick, I need you." She added before the silence came back, with her, waiting and me, having finished to work.
"We're going to get you, Stone." I whispered to myself, looking at his picture before I finally decided to walk out of the room, closing all the light on the way to get upstairs and joined Park in our bedroom. "I'm here for....." I started to say, opening the closed door of our room until I stopped myself, amazed by what I was saying.
"Surprise, surprise, Yiri !" Park teased me in the bed in a lovely position, she was just wearing her jacket with nothing below it and no scarf, not even an bra to cover her breasts, the jacket was doing it. She was still wearing her jeans and she was no longer wearing her shoes.
"Wow, that's...." I was literally jaw-dropped by her, freezing myself in place at her sight.
"Ssshhh, come here." She gestured me with her left index finger to get on the bed and I was obliged to comply, starting to move while I removed my own jacket and shirt along the way before I start to crawl on the bed, getting myself on top of her. "Now, make love with me all night !" She moved her hands to remove my bra before she pulled me with an kiss, getting my hands below her jacket to touch her breasts.
"As you wish, miss Park." I said in a teasing tone before she moved to get on top of me, finding my back against the bed as she started to kiss me on my neck "Mmmh....Park." I breathed, taken away by the pleasure
"Yiri....You have been very cheeky." She looked at me with her eyes that could say 'I just love you so much' "I just want you..." She continued in her kisses, going slowly down on my upper body. "I want to make you love everyday..." She exclaimed, kissing my chest before she moved her hands to remove my own pants.
"Please, do it...let's fuck..." I whispered to her, giving me an big smile as she start to remove my underwear with me slowly breathing, ready to do our things.
"We got all night to do that." She told me in a flirting voice before she start to lick me.
It was the beginning of a long night for us, we were having just an moment only the two of us and that we really wanted to do now. Been with her is one of the best things that happened in my life and having those types of night with her is on the same level. She was certainly the best in that and I was loving every part of it and she was loving it too. I never thought that I will have a moment like this after what happened to me and I was so happy to have it finally.
"Bell, we need to talk !" It was the voice of Russell Adler himself, adressing directly to me, sounding like an echo in the safehouse as I was working on very late at night almost at 2 AM. I was working on some files that we grabbed during our attack in the Lubyanka and by hearing him, I wasn't so relieved at all, closing my eyes for an second and stopping myself on work.
"What do you want ?" I asked him in a very neutral voice, sounding like annoyed by him. I had just like an big bad day behind me and I'm sure that I didn't want to have a talk with him at the moment, not after what he done.
"Come with me outside, it's just an friendly talk." He admitted to me and I wasn't moving from my chair even with his words but then, I took a breath and I got up from my chair, taking my jacket along the way.
I wasn't so happy to follow him outside the safehouse in the middle of the night as everyone else is asleep inside. We took the side exit of the safehouse, letting the big door closed. He handed me his pack of cigarettes but I refused it and somehow, it was looking surprised like If it was the first time I didn't want to smoke at all.
"So, what do you want ?" I asked him, crossing my arms above my chest. "Want to apologize about your behavior ?" I added.
"Me....apologizing ? Apologized for what ?" He asked me back, sounding confused even if he knows about what I'm mean.
"I don't know, maybe breaking inside my room at this hotel in Moscow..." I replied to him.
"That ?" He raised an eyebrow, smirking at me "You were late for the mission, I had to...."
"Okay..." I decrossed my arms, pointing at him, looking serious as hell "Cut the crap, Adler, why I'm here to talk to you ?" He bit his lips, hearing me getting serious all the sudden.
"You...Park, it's not possible in here." He blowed some smoke out of his mouth, almost at my face. "I'm asking you to break up with her, I'm not tolerating this kind of behavior and this kind of relationship in here !" He said to me, clearly and to hearing that, I raised an eyebrow like him.
"Who are you to tell me what to do about my personal life ?" I questioned him but he wasn't willing to respond to it.
"It's an order, Bell !" He admitted to me, pointing me with his cigarette in hand. "That....it's jeopardizing our...."
"What ?" I exclaimed, cutting him straight again. "Just because I'm with Park means that we're risking all of the operation to stop Perseus....or it's because of your oversized ego." I added, giving him an deadly glare "Yeah, must be your stupid ego !"
"Don't get me started, kid !" He affirmed, starting to clench his right fist.
"Or what ?" I asked him, spreading my arms. "I'm doing what I want with Park and you're not the one to lead my life."
"Actually, yes !" He said, making him look at him with an very curious look and angry one. "It's because of me you're here, kid. You will have been nothing without me."
"Oh yeah, you're my MI6 superior ?" I narrowed my eyes "Nope, you're CIA...and by the way, I owe you nothing at all." I pointed at him, angrily. "You have already troubles to deal with your sex life so don't start to....." I was going to continue until the man himself decide to punch right into the face, making me fall back behind on my left knee. I was so much angry but I didn't want to fight as I knew I was going to kill him as I was armed. I put my right hand below my nose and withdraw it, seeing blood on it.
"Shit, kid, I'm...."
"Don't fucking touch me !" I almost yelled, getting him away from me as he tried to get next to me. "You stupid moron." I slowly got up from that punch, holding my nose with my left hand.
"I didn't want to hit you." He tried to apologize but I wasnt' going to accept them, he just hit me like that.
"I'll tell you this, Adler." I started, still holding my nose to contain the blood. "Yes, I'm lesbian....yes, I'm loving Park and I will never break up with her, understood ?" I added, sounding angry as he was looking at me with wide eyes behind his sunglasses. "So, leave me alone and for real.....go fuck yourself !" I then started to walk back into the safehouse, opening the door that he closed. "Go fuck yourself, Russell Adler !" I closed the door behind me, containing the blood and my rage as I was going to the medical room to get my nose healed....
"Stupid motherfucker !"
I woke up with an start, an knot inside my chest after seeing that memory in the middle of the night. We were finished with Park to have sex and we were both naked under the sheets and frankly, it was so much good. That memory I just had....it make me remember how much Adler was a fucking prick with me and the others : always wanting to have control on everything and getting his temper never in control but it was also make me remember of my devotion to Park. As I looked to Park who was back to me, seeing her scars in the back, I decided to put my arms around her for recomfort, wanting to stay with her.....
All I want with her is keeping her close to me !

Part 6
“Well are ya gonna kiss me or what?” Quinn asked, eyebrows raising in amusement.
Niall chuckled, shaking his head. “When ya put it like that makes me not want to.”
Quinn rolled her eyes, arms crossing over her chest. Niall peeled her arms away, a mischievous laugh escaping his lips. Though Quinn’s lips were pressed in a firm line, Niall could tell she wasn’t so angry.

                                       ♡ ♡
Quinn wondered briefly how long the honeymoon phase would last. It felt for a while like they were on cloud nine and nothing could ever change the way Niall and Quinn were. Life has a funny way of bursting bubbles of unsuspecting people.
Quinn and Niall were on cloud nine for exactly three weeks. It was all it took for life to pick up and things to get crazy. Quinn was rushed from conference to conference, left exhausted by the end of the night. Niall was pushing thirteen-hour days, eyes bleary in his office.
It was a mess of exhaustion for the both of them. Quinn was objectively, not lonely. Evie was still crashing with her. They smoothed things over with Poppy but that didn’t mean Evie wanted to go back to Ireland.
Evie was taking this opportunity to explore her options. A communications degree amounted to just about any job she wanted. But Evie had to ask herself, was she an office job kind of girl? And what stressors in her life drove her to sleep with her boss in the first place?
While Evie was discovering herself so to say, Quinn was trying to find out who she was in a relationship. Of course, she was changing as a person. That much is inevitable.
Did Quinn want to be the kind of girlfriend that dropped off the face of the earth when she was exhausted? The answer was no, not really. But was Niall the exact same way? Maybe.
So, when work got hard, Niall had the energy to focus only on his work. His brain was fried by the end of the day. Some nights he fell asleep at his desk or sprawled out on the couch with his hands clutched around a stack of papers. If Quinn didn’t cross his mind in those moments until her name flashed on his phone that was something she didn’t want to know.
Niall’d pick the phone up, rubbing his eyes. Quinn wouldn’t be laughing; she’d be exhausted in a hotel room wondering just when they’d get a moment together the way they had weeks ago.
Quinn was taking on more responsibility at work. She was taking charge in ways that her boss loved to see- and she wanted to see more of. If Quinn had known career advancements were so exhausting, she might have rethought it. Or rethought her sleeping habits.
It wasn’t as if they didn’t feel the distance. Niall felt it as he clutched the steering wheel on his drive home. And he felt it when he dropped his keys onto the counter and there wasn’t even an echo back to him.
Quinn felt the distance when she was in bed, Evie snoring beside her. Or when she was in the shower, mind wandering. Her fingers itched to call him, but she knew she shouldn’t. She’d just speak to Marie anyway. There wasn’t a reason to bother him, he called when he had a moment to.
On this particular night, Quinn had just gotten back from a hectic day at one of their sister museums. Her feet ached and her head was throbbing. She hadn’t heard from Niall since the night before which lead her to believe he’d slept on the couch in his office for the second time in as many days.
There was leftover pizza in the fridge. Quinn grabbed a slice, taking bite. She breathed out of her nose, eyes slipping shut. Evie was asleep on the sofa, a movie playing quietly. The day’s events weighed her body down tremendously. It was nothing bad, just a lot.
Quinn could hear her phone ringing in her jacket pocket. She wanted to remain in the spot she was in forever, but her gut was hoping it was Niall. Quinn reached into her pocket, pulling it out.
“Hello,” Quinn murmured.
“Lover,” Niall breathed out. “What are ya doing.”
“Just got home,” Quinn smiled, sitting down at the table. “What are you doin?”
“Leaving the office,” Niall told her, voice muffled. “Was wondering if you weren’t too tired...” he trailed off. “If I could stop by?”
“You don’t ever have to ask,” Quinn murmured. “Of course I want ya to.”
“Mmm okay,” he hummed, voice heavy. “I’ll be there soon. Did ya eat?”
Quinn eyed the bitten at pizza on the counter. She breathed out a gentle laugh. “Um no.”
“Fuck I’m starving,” Niall mumbled. “I’ll bring somethin. Any preference?”
“Whatever sounds good,” Quinn told him.
“Okay,” he said. “I’ll be there soon.”
“Okay,” Quinn smiled. “I’m jumping in the shower. Just come in.”
“Got it,” Niall told her. “Bye, lover.”
Quinn set her phone down, relief washing over her. She tugged her hair out of her ponytail and started into the living room. “Evie,” she said, nudging her awake.
Evie pushed her hands away, groaning. “Go away.”
“Niall’s coming over,” Quinn told her, already unbuttoning her blouse. “Just a heads up.”
“I’ll sleep on the couch,” Evie mumbled, tugging her blanket up over her head. “No worries.”
Quinn chuckled, running her hands through her hair as she walked down the hallway. She didn’t think her, and Evie would be able to do this for as long as they have been. They made good roommates under their current circumstances.
Quinn stripped her clothes off and stepped into the shower. The hot water on her skin unraveled the tension in her shoulders. It was Thursday and she was exhausted.
The week was so long. A conference in Manchester on Monday, meetings in Eastbourne on Wednesday and an exhausting day today. Quinn was never good at traveling. It always caught up to her.
By the time Quinn had shampooed and shaved, she heard the front door open. Quinn turned the water off, stepping out. She dried herself and her hair and got dressed.
Niall had Mexican takeaway on the table, a beer in his clenched fist. His eyes softened when she walked in. “Quinnie,” he murmured, hand reaching out to her.
Quinn melted into him, arms wrapping around his waist. She closed her eyes, taking him in. Niall pressed a kiss to her forehead, hand rubbing down her back. “Missed ya. How are ya?”
“Tired,” Quinn whispered. She pulled away to look at him. His eyes were dark, cheeks flushed. He had two days worth of stubble on him. Quinn brushed her fingers over his jaw. “And you look tried too.”
Niall chuckled, nodding his head. “I am. Exhausted.”
Quinn frowned, eyes scanning over his face. She smoothed out his shirt, asking, “d’ya wanna talk about it?”
“Mm no,” Niall shook his head. “Kinda wanna eat.”
Quinn nodded, pulling away from him. They sat down at the table and began opening their food. Niall sipped on his beer as they sat. “So how’s work been?”
“Um good,” Quinn nodded. “I feel like I’ve hardly been home. I was at Tring all day. Apparently one of their coordinators hasn’t been doing so well. They’re struggling with getting younger people out, so I’ve been offering some things that we’ve done.”
“So basically, you’re running two museums?” Niall mused.
Quinn laughed, shrugging her shoulders. “I wouldn’t say I’m running the place but if people stopped going to museums, we’d probably close.”
Niall smiled, taking a bite of his food. Quinn swallowed hard, setting her water down. “So uh I think I’m going to have to spend a lot of time at Tring.”
“How much is a lot?” Niall asked, looking over at her.
“They’re guessing weeks,” Quinn told him. “And they want me to like relocate for a while.”
“They want you to move out to Tring?” Niall asked slowly.
“Not move...” Quinn trailed off. “I guess put me up in a hotel for as long as they need me.”
“That’s good, though,” Niall nodded. “You’ve done so well at your job that they need you to do well in other places.”
Quinn chuckled, nodding. She set her fork down and looked up at him. “Is it bad I don’t want to?”
“You don’t?” Niall asked. “Why?”
“I just...” Quinn trailed off shaking her head. “I’ve been at this job for not even a year and sometimes I feel like I shouldn’t be the one that handles things. I am not qualified to work with researchers to develop programs,” she shook her head again. “My boss dumps a load on me and then disappears.”
“Well your boss must think you’re good at your job if she gives you more responsibility,” Niall offered gently. “But if you think Tring will be too much tell her.”
“I don’t want to be the kind of person that candle handle things when it gets too hard,” Quinn muttered, rubbing her head. “But I’m exhausted.”
“I know love,” Niall murmured.
“I’m not a good traveler either,” Quinn added with a sigh. “I think that’s why it’s so hard for me.”
“You drove what an hour both ways?” Niall asked. “That’s a lot.”
“I know,” Quinn chuckled. “That’s why I got home so late.”
Niall hummed, taking a sip of his beer. Quinn looked over to him. “What do you think I should do?”
Niall breathed out a sigh, setting his beer down. “If it were me. I’d do it.”
“You would?” Quinn asked.
“I would,” he nodded. “Because I think my job is one of the most important things in my life and I value it tremendously. But if you don’t think your job is the most important thing in the world it would mean nothing to kill yourself for it.”
“I think my job is important,” Quinn shrugged. “Just...” she trailed off with a chuckle. “Just not enough to be miserable for it.”
“Then I think there’s your answer,” Niall smiled.
“But also I wonder what opportunities I’ll have if I do it,” Quinn added, sitting back. “If I’ll get a pay raise. If I’ll get a promotion. I just don’t know.”
Niall nodded, head tilting to the side. “Maybe it’d be worth a try?”
Quinn breathed out a sigh, shaking her head. “I’m going to be working seven days a week. That is bloody awful.”
Niall chuckled, shaking his head. “I work eight days a week.”
“That’s not even possible,” Quinn laughed.
“It is,” Niall laughed. “I work like eighty hours a week. That’s more than most people work in two.”
“Well it’s all worth it in the end,” Quinn smiled.
“It is,” he agreed. “But if you decide to go to Tring, we’ll make it work.”
“I know,” Quinn nodded.
“The case I’m working on should be wrapping up soon,” Niall said. He rubbed at his forehead. “We’re due due in court by Monday, I think. Trial could last a while though.”
Those words were none of a reassurance for Quinn. But it was his job and she knew that. The fact that he was here tonight meant that she was important to him. That he longed for her after a hard day.
Quinn longed for Niall. Always. She took another bite of her food and held his glance. Niall took a sip of beer and looked away. Things were beginning to feel tense and Quinn didn’t know why.
“Where’s Evie?” Niall finally asked after a moments silence.
“The living room,” Quinn responded quietly. “Sleeping on the couch.”
“Any luck finding a job?” Niall asked.
“She’s not ready, I think,” Quinn shook her head. “Still searching for something. She tried her hand at yoga this week. Said it was pretty fun.”
“Well yoga doesn’t pay the bills,” Niall chuckled. “It doesn’t bother you that she’s here?”
“No,” Quinn shrugged. “I know she’d do the same for me. It’s not a money thing either. I don’t mind. She does the cleaning and whatnot. Sometimes she cooks. Does it bother you that she’s here?”
“No,” Niall shook his head. “Was just wondering.”
“I do kind of wish she had her own bed though,” Quinn admitted with a slight smile.
“Yeah?” Niall mused, face softening.
“Yeah,” Quinn chuckled. “Not that I mind sharing a bed, obviously. Just...” she trailed off. “For example, last night I had a sex dream and I woke up completely thrown by the fact that I was sleeping next to my best friend.”
That made Niall laugh, arms crossing over his chest. “No way.”
“I would not lie,” Quinn laughed.
“That’s interesting you had a sex dream,” Niall smiled, fingers rubbing at his jaw. “Care to share?”
“I might be willing,” Quinn nodded, leaning on the table. “After dinner, of course.”
“Well I’m ready for dessert,” Niall announced, standing up. He took both of their containers and put them in the fridge.
Quinn couldn’t help but laugh and stand up herself. She tossed their forks into the sink and pushed her chair in. Niall caught her against the counter, hands sliding down her waist.
Niall pushed the hair from her eyes and smiled. Finally after weeks of craziness, he was able to look into her eyes. It was relieving. Quinn smiled up at him, hands smoothing over his chest. Her fingers reached up to loosen his tie.
Niall was about to kiss her when the phone rang behind them. It made Quinn smile. She held up a finger, reaching behind her. “Hold that thought. My line is ringing.”
Niall laughed, backing away from her. Quinn answered the phone, pressing it to her ear. “Hello?”
“Quinn,” Brigid answered slowly.
“Hi mum,” Quinn murmured, eyes lifting to meet Niall’s. “What’s up?”
“I just got back from the pub. I went out with Maura,” Brigid answered in a tepid tone.
“That sounds like the craic,” Quinn answered uneasily. “Did ya have fun?”
“Mmhm,” Brigid hummed. “Ran into Poppy’s mother too.”
“Wow it sounds like everyone was out tonight,” Quinn chuckled. “On a Thursday, even.”
“we had a meeting at the church and the lot of us decided to go on out and grab a drink,” Brigid explained. “Want to know what I learned?”
“Sure,” Quinn mumbled.
“I learned that Niall has a girlfriend in London,” Brigid announced. “Maura didn’t even know. Poppy’s mother found out through the grapevine. Assuming Poppy told her, of course.”
“That’s interesting,” Quinn murmured, eyes meeting Niall’s.
“What?” Niall mouthed, arms crossing over his chest.
“It is,” Brigid agreed. “And so now I’m wondering why my daughter felt the need to hide an important piece of information like that from me.”
“That Niall has a girlfriend?” Quinn asked slowly, eyebrows furrowing.
“That you are Niall’s girlfriend,” Brigid clarified, a stinging bite to her tone.
“Who told you that?” Quinn asked, rather harshly.
“Poppy’s mother. Says Niall’s over all the time. Quinnie Evie and Niall are all shacked up in Chelsea havin a good old fucking time.”
Quinn let out a self-deprecating laugh, shoulders becoming tense. “And the fact that you go on believing what everyone else says rather than asking your own daughter? You have to accuse me. Make it seem like I’ve committed a fuckin crime?”
“Is it true?” Brigid asked.
“Yeah it is,” Quinn responded without a moment’s hesitation.
“Why you felt the need to lie,” Brigid chuckled. “I will never understand.”
“When did I lie?” Quinn cried, eyes pinching shut. “Because you’re not privy to every single intimate detail of my life? I’m a liar?”
“Well you’re not being fucking honest!” Brigid exclaimed.
“Mum I have to go,” Quinn breathed out. “I can’t do this right now.”
“Quinn I swear to-“
“Mum,” Quinn repeated. “When you’re not hoppin mad we’ll talk. I’ve had a long day. Please.”
“Fine,” Brigid conceded. “Is Niall there?”
Quinn breathed out a sigh, handing Niall the phone. Niall took it timidly, putting it against his ear. “Hello?”
Quinn rubbed her forehead, leaning against the table.
“It was an honest mistake,” Niall said. “We must have forgotten. Things have been crazy round here.”
“I understand.”
“I will. I’ll tell her.”
“You have a good night,” Niall smiled. He set the phone down on the counter.
Quinn was silent, eyes focused on the table. Niall wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed a kiss to her neck. “Wasn’t expecting that one.”
“Me either,” Quinn mumbled.
It’d felt like all of the energy was drained from her body after a five-minute conversation. She didn’t know how Niall could do it. With a smile on his face, even.
“She’s upset,” Niall commented. “Did Brigid say anything worth mentioning?”
“Apparently Poppy told her mother that you, Evie and I are cozy here in Chelsea,” Quinn murmured. “And that I’m also a liar and I owe my mother every single detail of my life.”
“Well we know that is objectively false,” Niall chuckled. “And we need not be upset.”
“I notice your mother isn’t calling you,” Quinn pointed out, turning around to face him.
“That’s just the relationship we have,” Niall chuckled, shrugging. “She hears a lot of shit about me while I’m away. People talk. We can’t help that.”
“But you’re not feeling like absolute shit about it,” Quinn shook her head, stepping away from him.
Niall’s arms fell to his side. He sighed, “why do you feel like shit?”
“Because she always does this,” Quinn cried, running her fingers through her hair. “I do nothing wrong and she freaks out. Makes it this giant deal.”
“Do you feel guilty?” Niall asked softly. “Because you think you should have told her?”
“I...” Quinn trailed off. “I don’t know. Maybe.”
“Then maybe you just feel that for a minute,” Niall nodded. “Try to figure out what it means.”
“Because I want to tell her those things,” Quinn whispered. “I just don’t know how. She doesn’t make it easy.”
Niall nodded, reaching out to pull her into a hug. Quinn crashed into his chest, clutching at his shirt. He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “That’s okay,” he whispered.
“This day was awful,” Quinn mumbled. “Like really awful.”
Niall chuckled, nodding. “It was. Really fucking awful.”
“Do you want to hear about my sex dream now?” Quinn asked, pulling away. She looked up at him straight faced.
Niall had to pull her in for a kiss right on the spot. Quinn couldn’t help but laugh against his lips, stumbling into him. Niall kissed her twice more before letting her go.
Quinn was still laughing, hand sliding into his. It made Niall smile. As long as she was happy, she could talk about sex dreams all day long.
They stumbled into the bedroom, door closing behind them. Niall was pulling his tie off as they fell into bed. Quinn kissed his face and rolled over to her side. “Wanna hear it?”
“Lay it on me,” Niall smiled, tossing his tie onto the floor.
“Okay,” Quinn smiled, cheeks absolutely aching. “So I’m laying in bed alone and I’m like so turned on. I called you but you didn’t answer so I thought fuck it. I pulled out my vibrator-“
“You have a vibrator?” Niall cut her off, sitting up.
Quinn breathed out a laugh, laying onto her back. “Yes I do. Moving on. So I-“
“Why haven’t we used it?” Niall cut her off again.
“I’m not going to tell my dream, am I?” Quinn laughed, legs collapsing on the bed.
“Why haven’t we used it?” He repeated, leaning over her to meet her eyes. “Answer my questions Quinn or I will tickle you until you cry.”
Quinn laughed, rolling onto her side. “I don’t know why we haven’t used it. I mean it’s just collecting dust under me bed. Haven’t used it for a while. I like it better when ya eat me out, but I suppose we can give it a try.”
“I want to use it on ya,” Niall urged, fingers sliding down her stomach, toying at the waist and of her pants.
“Okay okay,” Quinn laughed as his hands dipped into her shorts. She pulled Niall’s hand out, sitting up. “Don’t ya want to hear the rest of the dream?”
“Yeah I do,” Niall nodded, pressing a kiss to her cheek. “Kinda wanna hear you tell it with me hands down your pants, though.”
Quinn breathed out a laugh, falling against him. Her nose brushed against his neck as she nodded. “Go on, then.”
Niall pulled her onto his lap, hands sliding down her panties. Quinn let out a breath, eyes slipping shut. “So you had the vibrator?”
“I had the vibrator,” Quinn breathed out as his fingers rubbed against her clit. “And I turned it on. I put it against my clit and as soon as I did, you rushed in.”
“Then what,” Niall urged, kissing at her neck.
“Then you took it from me and...” she trailed off, head tipping back. “And scolded me. And then....” Quinn cut off with a moan, back arching. Niall sucked at her neck which made her moan even more. “You fucked me.”
Niall pulled his hands from between her legs.  Quinn groaned, eyes opening. “Why’d you stop? I was so close.”
“I know you were,” Niall murmured. “We haven’t talk about this yet.”
“What?” Quinn asked.
“Sex,” Niall responded, rolling his eyes. “Obviously we haven’t done that yet. What does it mean if you’re dreamin’ about it?”
“I dunno,” Quinn shrugged, falling onto the bed beside him. “Kind of too tired to like think about that tonight.”
“But you’d want to?” Niall asked, looking down at her.
“Of course,” Quinn smiled, catching his eye. To tease, Quinn slid her hand into her panties to brush over her clit.
“Quinn,” Niall warned, eyes narrowed at her.
It made her laugh, rolling onto her side. Niall laid down beside her and sighed. Quinn pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Of course I want to have sex with ya. I’m wondering why we waited so long in the first place.”
“Me too,” Niall chuckled. “Does it feel like a big deal to ya now?”
“Kind of,” Quinn admitted. “What if we’re like bad it?”
Niall huffed, eyes drifting up to the ceiling. “We will not be bad at it, Quinn. That’s ridiculous.”
“Is it?” Quinn questioned. “Think about it. The first time is never good.”
“Well fuck Quinn if ya talk like that I’ll never be able to get it up t’night,” Niall grumbled, sitting up.
“Well I’m not talkin’ about fucking tonight!” Quinn exclaimed, sitting up. “But I’m just saying when we do. It might be bad.”
Niall rubbed his forehead and sighed. “I was so excited for this night. I was going to use the vibrator and we were both gonna cum but now I can’t.”
Quinn breathed out a laugh, shaking her head. She leaned over the side of her bed and pulled out a box. “This won’t change your mind?”
“What is that?” Niall mumbled grumpily.
“Open it,” Quinn smiled, extending it towards him.
Niall let out a sigh, taking it from her. He opened the lid, setting it beside him. Inside was Quinn’s collection of toys. A vibrator, a dildo, some stray condoms, a pair of handcuffs.
“What is this?” Niall questioned, looking over to her.
“My toys,” Quinn drawled out. She tilted her head to the side. “Don’t ya wanna play?”
Niall hummed, his grumpy face spreading into a smile. He looked down at the box and then back up at her. “I think you should play by yourself t’night. I’ll watch.”
Quinn frowned, “No fun.”
“We’ll see,” Niall shrugged. “Go on, then, lie down.”
“Okay,” Quinn murmured, taking the vibrator from him. She laid back on the bed, head propped on a pillow.
Niall set the box back on the floor and settled between her legs. Quinn shifted on the bed, spreading her legs out. Niall was just watching her but it was sending Quinn into over drive.
Quinn turned the vibrator on, shifting again. Niall spread his hands over her thighs, calming her body. Quinn relaxed, holding the toy in the most familiar way.
“Usually I start slow,” Quinn murmured, rubbing the vibrator over her pantie-clad labia and then up to her clit. The sensation made Quinn breath in deeply, eyes falling shut.
Niall could just see the pleasure coursing through her body. The way her stomach pulled and her thighs clenched. Quinn repeated the action a few times before pushing her panties down. Niall took them off of her legs, tossing them on the floor by her pants.
Quinn was so wet, dripping onto the sheets. Niall groaned, resisting the urge to dip his fingers into her heat. Quinn started again, rubbing the vibrator against her clit. She moaned, writhing against the bed.
Niall kept his hands on her thighs, pushing her legs further apart. Quinn gasped as his fingers brushed against her folds. She kept her movements steady, rubbing against her clit. Niall pressed kisses against her thighs, humming. “You look incredible like this,” Niall murmured. “Fuck. The way your body moves. Does it feel good?”
“So good,” Quinn breathed out. “Feels so good.”
“Come on, lover,” Niall murmured. “Cum. Wanna see you cum.”
“Fuck,” Quinn gasped out, body writing as her orgasm crashed through her body. Niall was left almost speechless. Quinn dropped the vibrator on the bed, rolling onto her side.
The sound of her breathing and the toy vibrating against the bed echoed throughout the room. Niall sat up, turning it off. He pushed his fingers through Quinn’s hair and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
Quinn opened her eyes just long enough to kiss Niall softly, fingers settling on his chest. Niall kissed her again, chastely. Quinn hummed, pushing her hair off of her shoulder. “Want me t’blow ya?” She asked.
Niall breathed out a laugh, eyes pinching shut. “The way you lack eloquence. You’re always irish.”
Quinn laughed, eyes fluttering open. She kissed him chastely. “As are you.”
“Then fuck yeah, quinnie,” Niall murmured. “Blow me.”
Quinn breathed out a laugh, pressing a sloppy kiss to his lips. She reached down to undo his belt and unbutton his pants. Niall shifted on the bed, laying back. Quinn started unbuttoning his shirt and straddled him.
“So pretty,” Niall murmured. Quinn smiled down at him, pushing his shirt off.
Niall tossed it to the floor and then cursed. “Quinn would it be incredibly unsexy if I hung my clothes up?”
Quinn huffed out a laugh, rolling off of him. “Go on.”
Niall laughed, standing up. He picked his shirt and tie up off the floor and kicked his pants off. “I don’t want them to wrinkle. Just in case I have to wear them tomorrow.”
Quinn laughed, shaking her head. Niall disappeared into her closet. He came back moments later and plopped back down on the bed in only his briefs.
Quinn met him for a kiss, tongue diving into his lips. Niall moaned, eyes slipping shut. Quinn reached her hand down to palm at his semi hard cock.
Niall deepened the kiss, leaning into it. Their lips moved languidly together. Quinn pulled away, kissing down his jaw to his neck. She pressed teasing kisses down the column of his throat. A chuckle rumbled out of his throat. Quinn smiled against his neck, pulling away to look at him.
Quinn straddled him again, kissing down his chest. She rutted her hips against his, his hard cock rubbing against her center. Niall groaned at that, eyes slipping shut.
By the time Quinn settled between his legs, he was hard and leaking against his hip. Quinn hummed, fingers gingerly brushing against him.
Niall relaxed his body against the bed, no sense of urgency. He’d let Quinn take him slow. He needed that.
Quinn wrapped her hand around the base of his cock and pumped slowly. Niall hummed, eyes slipping shut. Quinn started at the bottom, licking a stripe up the underside of his cock. It sent a shiver down his spine.
Quinn used her other hand to hold her hair back. She wrapped her mouth around his tip, dipping her head slowly. Niall groaned, “fuck, Quinn. Feels so good.”
Quinn hummed against him, bobbing her head with more intent. Niall let the pleasure take over, stomach clenching. Quinn didn’t give him a chance, taking him down to the back of her throat. Niall groaned, hands reaching down to her. “Gonna cum, lover.”
Quinn pulled off, breathing heavily. “Give it t’me.”
Quinn took him down again, holding him by the hips to stave him from fucking into her mouth. Niall let out a guttural moan, eyes pinching shut. His orgasm washed through him in a way that left him breathless, gasping for air. Quinn pulled off, swallowing his release.
Niall pulled her up to him, catching her lips in a gentle kiss. Quinn smiled against his lips, pushing her fingers through his hair. Niall hummed against her lips, resting her forehead against hers.
“I’ll be right back,” Quinn murmured, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“Stay,” Niall mumbled, grabbing at her waist.
“You have to pee after sex or you’ll get a ps4,” Quinn murmured, pulling away.
“That’s not right,” Niall laughed, opening his eyes to look at her.
Quinn laughed, crawling out of bed. “STD ps4 it’s all the same.”
Quinn disappeared into the bathroom to go to the bathroom. Niall could already feel the exhaustion creeping up on him. He wanted to stay in bed with Quinn like this forever.
Quinn returned to bed, settling herself beside him. Niall wrapped his arm around her and placed a gentle kiss to her head.
“So...” Quinn trailed off quietly. “About this sex thing?”
Niall breathed out a chuckle, eyes closing. “What about it?”
“When d’ya think it’s a good time?”
Niall hummed. “Well I’d like t’take ya out for a proper date. Romantic and whatnot. A fancy one,” he said.
“And?” Quinn murmured.
“We go back to my place where there are no pesky interruptions like house phones or roommates,” Niall chuckled, lips brushing against her forehead.
“I like the sound of that,” Quinn smiled.
“Then obviously I’d take ya into me room and fuck ya,” Niall murmured, fingers sliding down her hips. “Good n hard.”
“Promise?” Quinn whispered, looking up at him.
“Promise,” Niall smiled. He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “And the first time will be so good you’ll feel it in your legs for days, lover.”
Quinn let out a shuddery breath, an ache between her legs. “You’re gonna get me turned on again,” she whined, nose brushing against his jaw.
“Already turned meself on just thinkin about it,” Niall laughed. “And you brought it up.
Quinn breathed out a laugh, pulling the duvet up to her shoulders. Niall tightened his arms around her waist. “Sorry we went so long without bein together.”
“It’s okay,” Quinn mumbled, legs tangling between his. “We were both busy.”
“I know,” Niall murmured, eyes fluttering. “I should do better.”
“Niall,” Quinn frowned, pulling away from him to look him in the eyes. “Look at me.”
Niall opened his eyes, looking down at her. Quinn inched closer to him, their noses brushing. “Don’t say that. I’m not upset. Did ya think I am?”
“A little?” Niall admitted, nodding his head gently.
“I’m not,” Quinn shook her head. “I’ve missed you, obviously. But I’m not upset. I’m more tired than anything.”
“I know,” Niall mumbled, pushing his fingers through her hair. “But if-if ya ever feel like I’m neglecting ya promise you’ll tell me?”
“I respect your job,” Quinn breathed out, a gentle laugh escaping her lips. “And you. I won’t make you choose.”
“But my time is yours,” Niall urged, eyes all but pleading. “And if ya ever need me just call me. I don’t care what I’m doin I’ll make time,” he whispered.
“Niall...” Quinn trailed off softly. “Where’s all this coming from?”
Niall’s hand fell to the bed, his eyes closing briefly. Quinn sat up beside him. Sometimes it was easier not to make eye contact. Niall took a breath. “This case just has me thinking. It’s important to be with the people ya care about. I don’t know. I just don’t want you to think ya can’t reach me while I’m at work.”
“I know,” Quinn nodded. “If I need ya I’ll call.”
“And if it’s late and you just need me to be here tell me,” Niall told her, eyes focused on the duvet bunched up at their waists. “Because This has happened before. We go weeks without seeing each other and suddenly you’re resentful of me but never tell me and I’m confused because you’ve completely lost it and it feels like it’s out of nowhere because you fuck- you never told me in the first place.”
Quinn let out a sharp breath, fingers gripping the duvet. She looked over at him. “Did that happen?”
“A couple times,” Niall nodded.
“Well it won’t happen again,” Quinn murmured, voice soft. “If I feel bad about anything I’ll tell ya. I won’t make ya guess. Long as you do the same for me.”
“I will,” Niall nodded.
Quinn wouldn’t allow him to close himself off. She crawled herself onto his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. It made Niall laugh, arms sliding around her waist. “Quinn,” he mumbled. “We were being serious.”
“Serious time over,” Quinn mumbled.
Niall hauled them over, Quinn falling onto her back. He hovered over her, lips brushing hers teasingly. Quinn pulled him down, kissing him soundly on the lips. Niall let his hands slide down her hips.
Quinn pulled away, hand on his chest. “There is no way you’re gettin me started again. It’s so late. We need to go to sleep.”
Niall hummed, lips kissing down her neck. “Maybe tomorrow is a half-day.”
“Niall,” Quinn laughed. His kissed became sloppier and messier the closer he got to her chest. “You say that now but we both know you’ll get a phone call early tomorrow and you’ll have to run off. Think it through.”
“I am,” Niall laughed, pulling away to look at her. He pushed the hair off her shoulder and watched as it splayed out on the bed. “And I can’t think of a reason why I shouldn’t eat you out right now.”
Quinn groaned, eyes slipping shut. Her hand on his chest became weak. Niall kissed her again, all tongue, driving her crazy. It fogged her mind. She pulled away, breathing out a laugh. “Niall seriously. Bad idea. I’m tellin ya.”
“It’s been so long,” Niall murmured. He placed teasing kisses down her chest. “Since I’ve had my mouth on ya.”
Quinn let her eyes slip shut. The amount of sexual tension between them had to been illegal. And for his voice to sound so good against her skin.
“Tell me to stop and I will,” Niall whispered, nosing along her jaw. “We can just go to sleep.”
Quinn smiled, hand soundly pushing him away. “It’s for your own good. We should go to sleep.”
Niall collapsed in bed beside her, a pained laugh escaping his lips. “Fine, Quinnie. If that’s what you want.”
Quinn pulled the duvet up to their chins. He wrapped his arm around her while turning off the lamp beside the bed. Quinn places a kiss to his stubbly cheek. “How about in the morning?” She offered.
“I could use some persuading,” Niall mumbled, fingertips brushing down her arm.
Goosebumps rose on Quinn’s skin. She smiled. “I’m sure you’ll wake up before me. And maybe your hand winds up somewhere between my legs. And I wake up breathless, panting your name.”
“Go on,” Niall encouraged, a smile spreading across his lips.
“And maybe somehow we end up in the shower,” Quinn continued, eyes slipping shut. “And maybe I show you the proper use for the shower head.”
Niall laughed, arms tightening around her waist. “I’m hearing a lot of Quinn’s orgasms. What about Niall’s?”
Quinn laughed, shrugging her shoulders. “We’re speaking hypothetically. I suppose we’ll just have to see what happens.”
“Sounds unfair if ya ask me,” Niall chuckled.
“Luckily, I didn’t,” Quinn laughed already knowing it’d piss him off.
Niall poked her side making her laugh and twist away. “I’m wondering who the fuck you’re talking to.”
Quinn laughed harder as his laugh echoed around the room. She pulled him closer, murmuring a halfhearted apology. Niall pressed a kiss to her forehead.
An emotion rushed over Quinn that she couldn’t quite place. She felt it from her eyeballs to the tip of her toes. With Niall’s arms around her, she wanted to stay forever.

Warrington Speed Dating Saturday
Tumblr media
A NOVEL way to meet new people in Warrington comes this Valentine’s when LiveWire holds its first Speed Dating event. The free event in the library at Orford Neighbourhood Jubilee Hub – for people aged 30 and over – is being held on Wednesday February 13 at 7pm. It is being organised by LiveWire’s team of community librarians, who have been in contact with a dating agency for tips on how to make the event – thought to be one of the UK’s first library speed dating events – a success. Admission is free but pre-registering for the event is essential – simply contact any LiveWire library to book. Wendy Molyneux, LiveWire’s strategic library manager, said: “Library speed dating is popular in the US and Canada, in fact in Omaha speed dating in the library has led to three marriages. But it’s a very new concept in the UK – so we’re trailblazing this idea. “In today’s busy world there is a perception that everyone is more connected than ever. However, studies show this isn’t necessarily the case so speed dating is a unique way to combat social isolation. It can sometimes be difficult to meet new people and not everyone is comfortable with online dating. Libraries are safe, trusted and welcoming community spaces so provide an ideal venue to meet new people and maybe find that ‘certain someone’. “We are seeking to provide a ‘coffee shop’ feel so have invited a local artisan coffee company – Amber Coffee Roasters – along to sell coffee, and there will also be cakes on offer too. “It’s all part of LiveWire’s commitment to finding new and innovative ways of using libraries to encourage people to come in and make the most of the facilities and activities on offer.” The speed dating event has been given the backing of A Time to Read, the partnership of public library authorities in the North West that collaborate on reader development initiatives. Ian Anstice, Time to Read co-ordinator, said: “This is a very rare thing to see libraries do in the UK, although such speed dating events are far more common in the USA, so it’s great to see Warrington’s libraries leading the way here. There is always a certain romance to libraries anyway – eyes can often meet amongst the bookshelves and it’s a good place to have a conversation – so this is taking things to a logical conclusion. We all wish Warrington every success.” Another unusual library event taking place soon is a “Mocktail” making class being held at Lymm Library, as part of “Dry January” on Saturday January 26 from 11.00am to 1.00pm. Learn how to make a “Pom Collins” using healthy ingredients. Cost is £1.50 per person or £5 for a family of four. Suitable for all ages. Booking is essential at the library. For more information on the event, and LiveWire’s libraries visit www.livewirewarrington.co.uk/events.

pity party • matty healy x reader
Pity Party - M.H.
wc- 2856 or smth like that
The reader, in the midst of a particularly bad day, is dragged along to a party by her boyfriend Matty. But she really doesn’t want to be a burden or ruin his night.
It was a stressful day for poor Y/N, and being dragged along to a party by her boyfriend didn’t help much either. Not like she’d ever let Matty know what was up - she hated burdening him with her problems. She didn’t want to scare him off, now did she? Her curly haired rockstar was the best thing that had ever happened to her. If she lost Matty, who knows what she’d do.
But, anything for him. She would go to the party, pretend to have a good time, and hope for the best, because let’s be honest for a moment…  not much could go wrong. Or could it? Oh, shut up with the cliches, will you!
“Love, are you almost ready?” called the boyfriend in question from the living room of their shared Manchester flat.
Y/N sighed apologetically, attempting to quickly gain at least some composure before having to face Matty. “Y-yeah. Just one second, babe…”
With that, she took a final glance in the mirror and confirmed she looked alright. She didn’t feel too hot today. But there wasn’t much she could do to tend to her overwhelming insecurities at this very moment. Turning the knob with shaky, but freshly manicured hands, she exited the bathroom - her favourite place to cry - and greeted the beautiful, curly haired man in front of her, a fake smile a stark contrast to his genuine one. She felt somewhat guilty, but she’d feel guiltier if she let him know what was wrong. Letting him have a lovely time at George’s carouse was all she wanted. She knew firsthand how hard Matty and the boys worked, and how little rest they got… frankly, it amazed her. How he could do everything he did seldom any breaks was perplexing to the Y/H/C girl.
Matty looked at her up and down, practically tearing off her beautiful sequined black dress with his gorgeous chocolate (ha) brown eyes alone. He snaked a pale, inked arm around her waist, planting a soft, heartfelt kiss on her cheek. “You look breathtaking, love!” he exclaimed, a look of pure and utter adoration on his lovely face. Oh, how lucky she was. She didn’t think she deserved him - but then again, he didn’t think he deserved her, either. Again with the guilt.
She averted her gaze to the floor at an alarming speed, biting back a flood of tears in an attempt to do two things; save both her dignity and the glittery smokey eye she’d spent an unreasonable amount of time on. “Thank you. You look quite fit yourself, Matty,” she squeaked, trying to hide the burning of oncoming tears at the back of her throat that often resulted in a rather telling voice crack which made her sound like a twelve year old boy. She did not succeed. “Sorry. Eyeshadow in my eye. That stuff hurts,” she chuckled, giving her all to play it off. She felt terrible lying to him but it was all she could do right then and there, hm?
Matty looked concerned. He suspected she was upset - but for both her and the night’s sake decided not to make a big deal of it, raising his thick eyebrows worriedly. “I’d imagine it does, love,” he replied, squeezing her hand affectionately. “You sure you’re alright? We can tell George we can’t come--”
“No! No, no, no, don’t do that!” she pleaded, cutting him off. “I’m okay. It’s fine, babe, it’s nothing. Promise!”
“Alright,” he sighed, pulling her in for a hug. Y/N melted into the embrace, her head lying on his comfortable (albeit bony) chest. Listening to his heartbeat was quite therapeutic for her, and he knew that. “Let’s go.”
She nodded, and off they went.
To say the car ride was tense was a bit of an understatement. Y/N chewed at her glossy, made up lips, and Matty’s elegant free hand diverged from its usual spot at his girlfriend’s thigh and instead rested on the wheel of the car, bouncing up and down in coordination with his thigh. She didn’t dare gaze anywhere but outside the window, meanwhile he routinely checked up on her. For what reason, he wasn’t sure. It vaguely reminded them of the aftermath of their arguments -- but even then there was less… silence. It was deafening. Matty quickly turned on the radio (conveniently playing some sad, mainstream pop tune by the latest one-hit wonder) to elevate the mood and diminish the awkwardness. He wanted to talk, he just wasn’t sure how to go about doing so.
For the first time, Y/N looked away from the window and instead at her thighs. And her stomach. She cringed inwardly upon the sight, regretting giving in to the hearty lunch Matty had fixed for the two of them - it tasted surprisingly good, but she was quite bloated, even after a good five or so hours, which made her pretty anxious. Her soft, thick thighs, which he liked, weren’t to her liking. Not even close. Subconsciously, she tugged at her hair, threatening to rip it all out and scream, once again holding back a waterfall of tears. Then, back to staring at the cars passing by.
Eventually, they made it to George’s place. They could hear the music blaring from the opposite end of the block -- it was loud. Impossibly tumultuous. That by itself was already stressing Y/N out, to the point where she didn’t even realize Matty had stopped the car until he opened her door and helped her out. She thanked him, clinging onto his hand as if it was her last breath; his other hand rubbed her back in a soothing matter. They got to the door and were greeted by none other than Adam Hann after a brief sequence of knocks, his beautifully angled eyebrows sitting at an even higher angle once his eyes met with the pair’s own. “Y/N! Matty! A bit late, but come in! We’ve been waiting for ages,” he chirped, a slight slur to his words, especially when he emphasized ‘ages’.
Matty gave his close friend a slight chuckle, you instinctively following suit. “Yeah, sorry about that, mate. My love-” he ruffled your curled hair with his free hand, pulling you in a bit closer to him and kissing your forehead “-here is just so distractingly beautiful!” A very, very, embarrassingly bright blush crept onto your cheeks, and you let out the first genuine giggle you had all day. It was those small, yet memorable moments of pure cuteness that really made you fall in love with him. You cherished those memories -- you remembered every single time he’d done something like that. It was a mix of hilarity and endearment that you felt every time Matty shed his bad boy, rock star demeanour and replaced his it with a soft, loving one. One that secretly preferred being the little spoon sometimes. One that was surprisingly vulnerable. It was a side of Matty most people didn’t get to experience - and boy, was she grateful she got to.
“Not as pretty as you, Matthew,” you teased, wrapping your arms around his neck (which was covered in a mop of dark brown ringlets). He looked at you with a face that could only be described as an odd mix of amusement, adoration, and disgust.
“Don’t ever call me Matthew again, for the love of God.” Matty laughed, even harder as Adam faked a gag. “Oh, shut the fuck up, Hann! S’not like you and Carly are any different.”
“Not publicly. That’s gross.”
“Shut your trap,” he quipped as he jokingly shoved the blonde guitarist away so he could enter George’s not-so-humble abode (though he was quite humble about it nevertheless) with his girlfriend in tow.
The lights were bright. They flashed a lot, too (they flashed even more than those God-awful ‘groupies’ at literally every show the boys played), and they were far from pleasant; Y/N felt slightly queasy but, not like she herself would throw up… rather like her mind would. It seemed to be a combination of stress, body image, and  an unexpectedly onset depressive episode. She felt herself stumble, almost as if she was as intoxicated as the vast majority of people attending this event, but she caught herself before Matty noticed. He was talking to some old friend he hadn’t seen since high school, which made her job easier as he assumed she was just being lovey-dovey when she gripped his arm - his obliviousness was a gift at times. This being one of them.
The friend - Y/N gathered her name was Tiera - was stunning. Jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Model material. Her bone structure was immaculate, and her platinum blonde box braids contrasted beautifully with her glowing dark skin. Her body was just as, if not more perfect than her face. She was fit in every sense of the word, with curves that would be the death of any woman or man who laid eyes on them… and YN’s brain insisted that this mesmerizing lady was going to be the end of her Matty too, and taking in the sight of them innocently catching up was when she lost it.
You see, she wasn’t normally a very jealous person; but the pure self loathing she had felt towards her own body that day, and then seeing how flawless Tiera’s was and how friendly her and Matty were especially compared to the distance they kept on the way to George’s, was just too much. She let go of Matty’s long, thin arm, pushing it away as hard as she could, and wriggled out of his grasp as if he was some sort of rat who was going to give her the Bubonic plague. Shocked, he looked back at her - his arrestingly ravishing girlfriend, the apple of his eye (dare I say - I do apologize for the cheesiness), her Y/H/C hair and black dress swaying in sync as she bolted towards his best friend’s restroom. What the fuck? He thought, his mouth agape just as it had been the first time he laid eyes on her. Except, rather than admiration, he stared in confusion.
Remember when I said that their bathroom was Y/N’s favourite place to cry? Well, I wasn’t lying. She found George’s to have the same pleasant, calming atmosphere that screamed “I AM HERE FOR YOU”, just as Matty wanted to earlier - unbeknownst to her.
She locked the door behind her as fast as she could, finding the light to be already on. She paced towards the mirror, recoiling in shock - she didn’t remember being that hideous at home. Maybe that’s because she hadn’t yet seen Tiera or any of the beautiful faces and bodies that peppered the gathering.
After inspecting her face and looking as hard as she could, she managed to scavenge every single little ‘flaw’ in existence. She rushed to smash the lightswitch back off with every ounce of rage in her body, hurting her delicate palms in the process, which made the tears she didn’t even realize were there spill out even harder. Great, now she hurt physically and mentally.
She slumped in the corner beside the sink, but not before pulling a fluffy green bathmat underneath her for a little bit of cushioning. Last time she cried in George’s bathroom, she split her palm open and thus felt as though she had every right to bawl her eyes out, considering the depth of the cut and her shockingly low pain tolerance - her and Matty were on the cold marble tile, hugging in intervals before her bandage was soaked through and needed to be replaced again--
Oh dear. Matty. Thinking of him again made her sobs grow in volume and frequency, and she could’ve sworn that by now she looked like some sort of raccoon. And although she trusted him with her heart and soul and deep down knew he would never, she couldn’t help but think that he was probably making out with some thotty little twerp. She put her head in her hands, numerous thoughts flooding her mind as she cried and cried. The room was spinning. Just like out in the main room. It was spinning, it was blurry, she was hyperventilating, and although she knew she would have to leave the bathroom and face Matty eventually, she continued to hide, sulking in solitude.
Suddenly, knocks boomed throughout the echoey room, and Y/N hoarsely got out a small confirmation that the room was in use.
“Y/N, we know it’s in use,” a gentle yet profoundly low voice replied. The voice was familiar - because, well, it belonged to the owner of the bathroom. “Could you come out, please? We’re worried sick.”
She cried harder. She hated being a burden - that’s why she came here - but she’d made it ten times worse. Like always. “W-who’s w-we?”
“Matty and me. Adam and Ross would be too, but we don’t know what they’ve gotten into.”
    “I’m not coming out.”
    “Please?”
Y/N dragged her quivering body to the door and unlocked it, guilt and shame apparent on her features as she faced the two men in front of her. Matty scooped her up, tears in his eyes, holding her as close as he possibly could. He thanked George for having him over and bid his goodbyes before making his way to their shared car and buckling her into the passenger’s seat. He’d had an amaretto or two and knew he probably shouldn’t have been driving, but whatever; he could pay for whatever fine they gave him. Y/N was worth a DUI and a ticket.
“What happened out there, love?” Matty inquired, sad brown gaze trying to read into her Y/E/C one.
She shook her head, face and hair still caked with the salty liquid that wouldn’t dare stop seeping out of her eyes.
He pursed his soft lips, before moving his hand too caress her wet cheek. “You have to tell me so I can help you, babe. I love you. How about we talk about it in bed?” He didn’t mean it sexually, at least not right now.
She nodded. That was really all he needed, leaning in to place a heartfelt kiss on her lips, grinning as he saw a small smile form. He offered his hand, and she took it, and they stayed like that for the rest of their journey home.
As soon as they got back, Matty made sure to tend to her every need - he tied her hair back, removed her rodent-like mess of makeup, and helped her get into more comfortable attire (his shirt, which secretly made him swoon). He frowned upon her refusal of chicken noodle soup - her favourite, especially when he made it. He carried her to their bed and decided to take charge and be the big spoon this time. “Alright, love. What’s up?”
She bit the inside of her cheek anxiously. She’d stopped crying, however she was still on the verge of tears. “I think I had a panic attack in George’s bathroom. But that’s not th-the point. This week has been terrible. I’ve been getting a ton of hate, you’ve had interviews, which is good and all, but… bad timing, I guess? Ah, I don’t know. And you know that… that lunch that you made for us? It was good, really good, but, I was pretty bloated after that which never fails to get me down! And then we had to go to that party, and I felt ugly and disgusting, and it just… wouldn’t stop. At the party, I felt even worse. Sick. And everyone there was gorgeous, especially… what’s her name? Tia? Tyra? Tiera. Yes. And I thought you liked her because I’m a mess. And…” she paused, a tear falling down her cheek. “I think that’s it?”
It hurt Matty’s heart to hear her pour hers out to him in such a melancholy way. He’d known of her insecurities -- it’s why she was usually quite hesitant about any intimacy whatsoever, even a simple hug -- and every single one of his attempts to comfort her, restore her self esteem, assure her she was the most gorgeous girl he’d ever laid eyes on (hence why they were dating). He sighed, pulling her into a warm embrace. “You’re breathtaking. Don’t ever think otherwise. And by the way,” he began, pausing as she cocked her head to the side. “I’ve got worry about her more than you do. She told me you were quite fit before you ran off.” They shared warm laughs, before Y/N looked into his eyes once again.
    “I love you, rockstar.”
    “I love you too.”
And with that, both my hands and the star-crossed lovers got some rest. Writing six pages is not easy on the wrist.

King Abdullah II in Washington Post op-ed: It’s time to return to globalisation. But this time let’s do it right
28 April 2020
The Washington Post published an op-ed by His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday headlined “It’s time to return to globalisation. But this time let’s do it right”. Following is the op-ed: “I can’t remember the precise context, but I was recently taken aback when an aide mentioned I had become the longest-serving Arab leader. The sheer pace and density of events in the past 21 years—wars, terrorist attacks, regional conflicts, waves of refugees, financial crises—had caused the years to blur together. Just when I thought I could give myself permission to start saying I’d seen it all, along came the novel coronavirus. I cannot recall a time when every leader on the planet had the exact same item at the top of his or her agenda. This captures how truly surreal this moment in history is. But common concern does not necessarily translate into coordinated action. It has been reassuring to see the global medical community working to share information as doctors and researchers hunt for a cure. Yet there is no denying that this border-blind enemy appeared just when the term “de-globalisation” was entering our lexicon—thanks to the rise of nationalism, protectionism and general scepticism about cross-border cooperation of all kinds. Yes, we’ve seen moments in the past two decades when humanity rallied together in common grief, fear or outrage. We all distinctly recall that dark day when the planes struck the twin towers in New York, launching a new age of terrorist insanity. Many countries have their own experiences of trauma seared into their memories: hotels in Amman, an arena in Manchester, a girls’ school in Nigeria, a concert in Paris, mosques in New Zealand, churches in Sri Lanka, synagogues in the United States, and many others. No matter how far away each incident was, the grief always felt personal. Yet the moments of unity inspired by these events—and the financial crises and natural disasters we’ve also faced over the years—have never lasted long enough to push us to fundamentally rethink the systems we have in place. More often than not, our responses have done little more than plug holes, falling far short of what could be achieved with modern technology. In the Middle East, we realised that we had to take a different approach in the fight against terrorism. We knew that our only hope for defeating it depended on breaking down barriers—both among nations as well as among the institutions within them. Jordan understood the need for a joint platform to enhance coordination among regional and international stakeholders, and so we launched the Aqaba Process to enable all partners to counter extremism and terrorism by leveraging resources, sharing information, identifying gaps and avoiding redundancies. Today, our world has decided to turn warning sign to siren. Unlike previous threats, this one is hitting us all, and all at once. This crisis has thrown a harsh light on the gaps in our global order—gaps caused by social injustice, income inequality, poverty and misgovernance. Many are optimistic we will simply rebuild after this pandemic. But rebuilding is not enough. We should focus instead on creating something new, something better. Instead of “de-globalisation”—as some are advocating—I see us all benefiting from a “re-globalisation.” This time, though, we must concentrate on getting it right, aiming for a renewed integration of our world that centres on the well-being of its people. A re-globalisation that strengthens and builds capacities within our countries and ushers in true cooperation rather than competition. A re-globalisation that recognises that a single country, acting alone, cannot succeed. One country’s failure is every country’s failure. That means recalibrating our world and its systems. We need to reconfigure international institutions and build new ones where needed. We need to create and sustain new organisations that draw on the skills and resources of different sectors, across national boundaries. Jordan is ready to build on its experience with the Aqaba Process to help in any way it can. Threats do not come in silos, and the solutions cannot be in silos. This rings especially true in my corner of the world. As Arab nations, we have no choice but to act together to mitigate the impact on us all. The natural resources we had relied on to shield us are no longer enough. We must set aside our differences and recognise that yesterday’s rivalries are meaningless against this shared threat. We need to leverage the strengths and resources of each of our countries to create a regional safety net that protects our collective future. Unemployment, famine and poverty lie ahead if we do not act. We must address the global opportunity gap, including access to health care, and rethink the models and metrics employed by international financial agencies in emerging markets to better tell the whole story. Covid-19 is a threat that confronts every leader. But if we wish to defeat it, we must do what seems counterintuitive: Put politics and popularity aside. We must also do the exact opposite of what the doctor ordered: Come together and get to work. To face this single threat, we must have singular focus—the survival and well-being of human lives everywhere.”

Moving Your Goods Versus Selling and Buying
Moving your personal goods, much less your family, can be a daunting thought, but after a careful review of all your options, you will see that it needs not be a difficult ordeal, just one that requires thought and organization. Hopefully, this post will help you arrive at the thought process.
I have done a big move of personal goods only three times, and I was boxed in (no pun intended) by the same thought process each time. I have come to discover that there are many ways to consider the move to Costa Rica, and some may be much cheaper or at the very least less stressful and requiring less coordination.
The first thing I learned about moving goods to Costa Rica is to find your mover in Costa Rica and coordinate the move through him, as you want to be able to deal with someone local from this end, just in case there should be any questions or problems. How logically simple is that? But had I not been advised, I would have called a mover from Dallas, and I think it would have caused more logistical problems in the long run.
Here are some of the mistakes I made. We brought everything, and I do mean everything. We should have had multiple garage sales prior to the move because we downsized from a 3,000 sq. ft. house to a 2,300 sq. ft house, and we had acquired junk from the previous 20+ years. We knew we wanted to build and no longer wanted a dining room, as we discovered it was wasted space in our last home just to store a dining room set. But we certainly brought everything else. George Carlin has a gig on "stuff", and everyone should listen to that before coming to Costa Rica. It took a little over a year for us to actually move into our house, which meant that we paid, by the square meter, to store our goods, which is an expense we had not considered. Had I had the opportunity to do it again, I would have brought our bedroom set, living room furniture, dishes/silverware, and that's it! Yes, special art pieces and personal belongings, but about half what we brought. That would have cut our moving and storage tab in half.
You can buy American appliances here, and yes, at a higher expense, but still less than moving and storing yours from home. Personal goods are not taxed, but goods that are new are subject to taxation. Many times they are not taxed if you have one of each, but if you bring 10 new flat screen TVs, chances are you will be taxed a very large amount. If you want to have no questions about taxation, Barry will develop a flat-rate move that includes your taxation. You needn't worry about this, as his company will handle all the details and dealings with Customs and deliver your goods to his storage facility or your new house.
I would suggest you get a 3-ring binder and keep all the papers related to moving in this notebook. If you pack goods yourself, label the box with the contents of each box and keep a copy of that in your notebook. If you have professional packers, make sure you get a listing of each box's contents, and that the box is labeled with the contents that you have a copy of in your 3-ring binder. All the paperwork related to Customs should be kept here also.
The following are some tips on what you should do before and after you move to Costa Rica:
Two Months before Moving:
1. Gather your moving supplies (boxes, tape, rope, etc.). Begin packing.2. Make any necessary travel arrangements (airline, hotel, and rental car reservations).3. Call a moving company or make truck rental reservations to move your goods.4. Cover your real estate temporary & permanent needs.5. Keep your legal, medical, and insurance records in a safe and accessible place.6. Give your new address to all your mailers (family members, friends, banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions, charge card and credit card companies, doctors, dentists, and other service providers, state and federal tax authorities, and other government agencies).7. Keep your moving receipts (many moving expenses are tax deductible).
Two Weeks before Moving:
1. Notify gas, electric, water, cable, local telephone, and trash removal services of your move, and sign up for their services at your new address.2. Notify long distance Phone Company of your move.3. Arrange help for your moving-day.4. Confirm your travel reservation.5. If needed, make arrangements to close or transfer your bank account.
Packing Tips:
1. Make sure you have the following supplies and accessories: boxes (all sizes), bubble wrap or other cushioning material, marking pens, tape measure, furniture pads or old blankets, packing tape and scissors, and money and credit cards.2. Label each box with the room in the new home to which it should be moved.3. Make an itemized list of what you're packing with a yard-sale price on each item, so you don't have to pay too many taxes when your household arrives at the Costa Rican customs. Personal household goods are exempt.4. Number the boxes, and keep a list of what is in each box.5. Mark any fragile item.6. Pack your personal items (clothes, toiletries, medicine, maps, food, and drinks) into a bag, and keep it in an easy-to-find place.7. Keep a medical kit accessible.
After Your Move:
1. Locate police, fire, and gas stations as well as hospitals near your home.2. Locate shopping areas in your new neighborhood.3. Find out which day the trash is collected and whether your new community has recycling programs.4. Seek out new service providers (banks, cleaners, doctors, dentists, and veterinarians).5. Provide your new doctor and dentist with your medical history. You may need to request your file from your previous doctor and/or dentist.6. Find out more information about schools, cable service, cultural events, community activities, and the availability of emergency calling services (such as 911) in your new neighborhood.7. Transfer your insurance policies to an agent in your new community. If necessary, make a detailed list of all your belongings, their value, and your coverage.
