Cinta de horror que tendrá su exhibición comercial el próximo hoy jueves 9 de febrero  bajo el sello de Zima Entertainment.

Tuvo gran recibimiento por la crítica especializada en la pasada edición de Sitges Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Catalunya.

Próximamente el terror español se adueñará de México con la llegada de una de las cintas más terroríficas de la década, Comunión con el Diablo, una película que revisita un siniestro mito popular para llevarlo a las salas de cine. Una historia estelarizada por Carla Campra y Aina Quiñones, que marca el regreso al cine en español del realizador Víctor García, una reconocida figura dentro del cine de género, que estrena de la mano de Zima Entertainment.   Sara, una adolescente recién llegada al pequeño pueblo de Tarragona, trata de encontrar su lugar en aquel nuevo y cerrado entorno. Una noche, en compañía de su extrovertida amiga Rebe, van a una discoteca y durante el trayecto a casa se encuentran a una misteriosa niña vestida con un vestido de comunión que desaparece y sólo deja a una antigua muñeca, lo que marcará el comienzo de la pesadilla.   Basada en hechos reales, esta historia gira alrededor de una maldición que trasciende generaciones y hace que aquel relato sobrenatural de boca en boca, se convierta en un sólido universo de terror característico de las grandes franquicias dentro del género, pero con un giro que se acerca muy íntimamente al localismo español.   Este largometraje, que tuvo una exitosa proyección fuera de competición en el Sitges Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Catalunya, refleja la experiencia de García en el armado visual y argumental del thriller: jumpscares precisos, una criatura enigmática y la búsqueda por la resolución del maligno secreto. Destreza que fue desarrollada gracias a su partición en proyectos como El Ciclo (2003), Regreso a la residencia del mal (2007), 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails (2007) o Espejos siniestros 2 (2010), sólo por mencionar algunos.   Al respecto, el director detalla que “El cine especialmente de terror, me ha fascinado desde pequeño, y toda mi carrera profesional ha sido, en cierta forma, condicionada por esta fascinación.”   Con guión de Guillem Clua, Víctor García y Alberto Marini, Comunión con el Diablo es el retrato del ya escalofriante proceso de crecer, al tocar temas como el bullying, los peligros del consumo de sustancias y la violencia intrafamiliar; en conjunto con sucesos sobrenaturales que incluyen maldiciones y muertes inexplicables, una mezcla que sin duda sube el nivel de dificultad a la adolescencia. Estelarizada por el prometedor talento barcelonés de la modelo y actriz Carla Ampara (Feria: la luz más oscura, 2022), en compañía de la versatilidad actoral de Aina Quiñones (No matarás, 2020), Marc Soler (Cuatro treinta, 2021) y Carlos Oviedo (Las leyes de la frontera, 2021), está película se prepara para su lanzamiento al público en salas comerciales , 9  febrero de 2023 bajo el sello de Zima Entertainment

Song Review: Allman Brothers Band – “Dreams” (Live, June, 27, 1999)

There was a new kid in town when the Allman Brothers Band launched its 1999 summer tour.

That kid was, of course, Derek Trucks, and a freshly released audio-only recording of “Dreams” from June 27 is the sound of an old band trying to find new footing. Gregg Allman is at his gritty best on the mic, and the rhythm section is deep in the groove, as it must be on any “Dreams” worth the while.

For his part, Trucks takes it relatively easy. Even with (literal) Uncle Butch Trucks behind the kit and (figurative) Brother Dickey Betts by his side, the then 20-year-old Trucks must have felt the need to follow rather than to try to lead. Running 13 minutes, occasionally wobbling and venturing into noodling territory, it’s a specimen of the Allmans-as-the-new-Dead as the scene continued to grapple with the 1995 death of Jerry Garcia.

And it’s just a hint of what young Trucks would go on to do with the band that was older than him.

With a sprinkling of Mel Brooks influence because I just can’t help myself. In terms of gameplay, I like to think of it as sitting in the space between a classic Telltale game and a text adventure. We’ve got these bright, comic book visuals. But because we’re a leaner production, we also have tons of room to make a truly branching, reactive story.” Regarding how Henchman Story handles choice, consequence, and navigating the satirical genre. Then adds, “When players make choices that affect their relationships, send the story in different directions or start a romance. We try to really lean into it. The cast can end up in some wildly different places depending those choices. It really covers the whole superhero and supervillain spectrum. Foto de mi boleto del Madison Square Garden en un día como hoy 23 de Octubre de hace 21 años en New York, tuve el gusto de asistir y disfrutar de ese gran concierto de la Fania All Star acompañado de mi Compadre Cocoy @jquirarte3 Reseña: FANIA ALL-STARS MADISON SQUARE GARDEN En octubre 23 de 1999, la Fania se reúne nuevamente en concierto en el Madison Square Garden. Las puertas se abrieron en el Madison Square Garden a las 8 pm. Música de la casa, producto sobre todo RMM jugado a través de la megafonía.... Había mucha expectación en el aire como los 17.000 clientes pagados buscaron sus asientos. El escenario era enorme. Cuatro niveles de altura y cerca de 50 pies a través de cortinas en blanco y negro como telón de fondo y dos pantallas de televisión enormes a cada lado del escenario alto en el aire. El sistema de sonido era el mejor posible. Marc Faron y su esposa, Nancy Kassim, son los mejores gestores de etapa en el negocio de los conciertos y han estado haciendo de la Fania y RMM muestra desde hace años. Jon Fausty, uno de los mejores ingenieros de sonido de América, estaba haciendo la AP Rolando casa y estaba en los monitores de escenario, asegurándose de que los músicos pudieran oírse a sí mismos como lo deseen. El piro / explosivos estaban en su lugar y todos esperaban el show para comenzar .. Las cosas nuevas se supone que tendrá lugar, como un homenaje Domingo Quiñones 'a Héctor Lavoe, Junior González con Larry Harlow (en sustitución de un ausente Ismael Miranda), Rubén Blades, por primera vez en 15 años y un dúo con Rubén y Willie Colón. La gran Celia Cruz y Oscar D'León en unirse con La Fania. Todo el mundo esperaba. El aire estaba lleno de entusiasmo ...Había llegado el momento de Oscar D'León para abrir el show con una orquesta muy grande y no nos defraudó. Él es un verdadero showman y un gran sonero. Él llevó a cabo la muchedumbre en la palma de su mano y su conjunto 40 minutos marcó la pauta para lo que vendría después. Los vídeos que se mostraron durante los cambios que se fueron muy bien hecho y el tiempo pasó rápidamente hasta que Izzy Sanabria comenzó con sus cantos SALLLLLLLL ----- SAAAAAAAA y se calentó a la multitud. Song Review: The Allman Brothers Band - “Little Martha” (Live, March 21, 2005)

There were no Allman brothers - nor a single co-founding Brother - onstage March 21, 2005, when Band members Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks performed Duane Allman’s instrumental “Little Martha.”

It didn’t matter.

Duane’s only solo writing credit for the band, as conveyed in an acoustic-guitar duet by Haynes and Trucks, stays true to the author’s vision, a beautiful, yet simple, expression of sound that has the audience suspended between respectful silence and involuntary cheering.

Less than three minutes, this “Little Martha” is nevertheless essential listening and a wise song for inclusion on the Allman Brothers’ forthcoming boxset Trouble No More: 50th Anniversary Collection, out Feb. 28.

A cynic might call this a cover version. But Haynes and Trucks’ respect for Duane oozes from their instruments. And while it may be a tribute, this “Little Martha” is no cover.

It’s wholly authentic.

Gennari began writing graffiti in 1965, after his social studies teacher introduced him to the famed World War II doodle “Kilroy Was Here” in class one day. Inspired in equal parts by advertising slogans, psychedelic artist Peter Max, and the ability to be famous yet anonymous at the same time, Gennari began tagging “FLINT” on walls and trains around his native Brooklyn. He added pithy phrases like “For Those Who Dare” and “For Ladies Only” to let the public know just what was on the menu.
