Mary J. Blige Shares Video For Still Believe In Love Feat. Vado
Watch Mary J. Blige bask in the sun on a yacht in her video for the single "Still Believe In Love" featuring rapper Vado. The song is on Blige's new label, Beautiful Life Music, also home to the young all-male R&B group WanMor. "Still Believe In Love" gets some of its groove from Mtume's "C.O.D. (I'll Deliver)," which is sampled by producers DJ Cassidy and Jeff "Gitty" Gitelman. The warm visual, co-directed by Blige and Eif Rivera, is a great antidote for the cold weather many are experiencing in parts of the world where the seasons are changing from Fall to pre-winter. The singer and actress is headlining the Honeyland Festival in Sugar Land, Texas, on November 12th.

Six Years Smitten
July 26 - October 12, 2019
Opening Reception: Friday, July 26, 5-7 pm
Artist Talk: Saturday, July 27, 2-3 pm
“It started with a community of makers who wanted to create in a radical new way,” says Marissa Saneholtz, one of the co-founders of the Smitten Forum. Every year since 2014, Marissa Saneholtz and Sara Brown have invited a new group of jewelers and metalsmiths to work side-by-side in a communal studio for a week. Over six years, the forum expanded in numbers and geographic area to encompass over 70 artists in several states.
Call it a mobile artist colony, a colorful social experiment, or a crafty piece of performance art. Invitees range from emerging to well-established jewelers who employ a stunning array of mediums and techniques—including casting, computer-aided design, found object assemblage, powder coating, tin construction, traditional silversmithing, and welding.
Six Years Smitten brings this dynamic range of artists back together, with over 70 artists participating in a cumulative exhibition of wearable artwork. This will be the first long-term exhibition of Smitten participants, and will also reunite several members of this remarkable community.

Drake & Megan Thee Stallion Lead 2020 BET Awards Nominations
Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz
BET has officially the list of nominees for the 2020 BET Awards and it looks like Drake and Megan Thee Stallion are dominating in a multitude of categories.
According to Billboard, Drake has six nominations at this year’s iteration of the awards, while Megan and Roddy Ricch both have five nominations each. This year’s award show commemorates the award ceremony’s 20th anniversary along with the 40th anniversary of the network.
The list of nominees reveals that Drake brought in the most nominations, including Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Video of the Year, and two nominations each for Best Collaboration and Viewer’s Choice. Meg Thee Stallion is a close second, snatching up nominations including Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best Collaboration, Album of the Year, and Video of the Year. Roddy Ricch comes in third, tying Meg with five nominations, including being a contender for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Best New Artist, and Viewer’s Choice. Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Lizzo, DaBaby, and Nicki Minaj are also in the top slots, each receiving four nominations.
Last month, BET announced plans to move forward with the award show amidst social distancing due to the pandemic, revealing that the network planned on making a slew of changes to help shift the award show to be more of a virtual experience.
“Using an array of innovative techniques and artist-generated content, the show will continue, allowing the audience to join in a celebration of Black love, joy, pride, and power with an all-star lineup,” the network announced before adding that the BET Experience pregame show will make its return next year.
