dbhc timeline?

I think I’m gonna try to drop a dbhc s8 and s9 “working timeline” (and add it to the masterpost) before I full-send the ‘do you know your dbhc lore’ quiz :o

it’s not gonna have everything I have planned on it or anything like that—mostly anchor points that happen in canon (ie, this is when each life series happens, this is when the empires crossover happened, etc), and then I’m putting every major event or song that has been posted on the timeline.

I’m thinking, as I post more, I’ll add each (important) post to the timeline, updating it as we go? Does that sound like it would be a good way to go about it/something that would be helpful?

#The s9 timeline looks soooo empty just because it’s so long LOL #I also have tick-marks where the ‘months’ in real time were when the seasons were taking place #But Minecraft in-world time isn’t entirely one to one with irl time to me… idk. That’s neither here nor there though #I realized even though I put ‘early s9’ etc at the beginning of some comics… it’s still not super clear where stuff happens #In the grand scheme of things yknow? I still believe the overall story would improve if Eve was featured more as a co-protagonist and not another side character now that Mark and her are dating. It’d hammer home more just how right the two can be for each other. We’re over half-way through the season and her special episode barely has as much consequences on her journey that we get to delve in on and relate broadly to like we can with Mark’s (ofc Mark is THE protagonist so everything has to relate to him and affect him - just saying it obviously should too with Eve but on a lesser degree). We haven’t even gotten Eve’s introspection on her feelings for Mark over the years yet either

#her storytelling potential. opportunities for more nuance and connection to themes/her own origins/motivations in the grand scheme of things #all that could make her an even better character and more clearly mark’s equal #her character would seem more well thought out too. wdym atomic manipulation as a superpower yet underutilized??? no more of that.#i understand her character arcs in the first two seasons but ik they would’ve been even better had there been stronger obvious connections #to mark’s story (which there already are that people can put together)#atom eve #invincible #criticism #writing

as much as i love gianmarco and josh johnson i do think ep 4 is the first of this season of game changer to fall flat for me. think it has something to do with a core part of crowd work being the bewilderment of the participant and never knowing what you're gonna get, which was sorta taken away by the general concept of those people being there to talk about Specifically the Thing On Their Shirts

the amount of mutuals who don't wanna admit that they find f&f cesare more compelling than showtime's cesare need to unshackle themselves it's not that serious !! considering that not only does ryder have a peak machiavellian face but his characterization is also deeper, feels very human and flawed and allows you to genuinely resonate with him without the narrative forcing it
