i'm actually lowkey sooo curious if we ever get confirmation if charles or matthew is clary's direct ancestor. you'd think it's matthew because he's like, actually attracted to women, but then there's charles' red hair, and i kind of wouldn't put it beyond him to put himself back into the closet and have some comphet babies to save his career (but at the same time that's something i can't see cc ever writing because she's an ally like that #slay). i guess we will find out in matthew's novella. maybe

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Tuesday said she would allow third parties to argue about the appointment of Jack Smith as special counsel in Donald Trump’s classified documents case. The highly unusual decision means partisan representatives with no other involvement in the case will be allowed to attend a June 21 hearing and opine on Trump’s push to have Smith’s powers curtailed.

Cannon will hear from three such “friends of the court.” Two of them, Josh Blackman and Gene Schaerr, will argue in Trump’s favor; a third, Matthew Seligman, will argue for Smith’s continued work on the case. Based on pre-hearing filings, Blackman, together with the Landmark Legal Foundation, will argue that special counsels lack the constitutional authority to actually prosecute a case. In a countering motion, Seligman said Smith clearly wields that authority and blasted Blackman’s argument as being “at war with precedent and with reason.” Legal experts say Cannon’s decision to consider Trump’s argument against Smith is questionable, and to permit so-called “friends of the court” who are otherwise unrelated to the criminal trial to weigh in for 30 minutes apiece is highly unusual.

The Exciting and Whacky Adventures of Star Girl and her partner Electroboy

Gene Woods is a mischievous but kind hearted 11 year old kid who discovers one day he has powers over electricity. Along with his best friend Rebecca Fuller, the two kids decide to become the best hero team out there. They get special help from Gene's other friend (secret crush) Alex Guyson aka Amazo Lad, on learning what it takes to be a true hero. Gene also has to hide his powers from his family and protect his secret identity in order to keep his family safe. Gene nor his friends are aware though that Gene's dads are the infamous top super villain couple of Dr. Vexation and Maddrix the Malicious. Outline Gene wants to be a hero like Rebecca and those in comic books. He may or may not also want to be a hero to impress his friend *cough* crush *cough* Alex. Matthew and Carl are aware Gene is Electroboy. Gene isn't aware his parents are villains. Its not because of them hiding secrets, its because Gene's obliviousness doesn't allow him to make the connection. Gene: My dad is a scientist and my pops is a House Husband. They don't have time to be villains. Matthew did have a freak out initially when Gene discovered his powers until Carl calmed him down. They have secretly and subtly tried to teach Gene to control his powers in and out of costume. This is a light-hearted au mixed with a few dark and angst stuff because of some characters and hidden secrets. It combines some Phineas and Ferb elements along with Wordgirl elements. @dualnaturedscientist @melodythebunny
