how tall are Samantha and Maxine? since they both seem to be quite a bit taller than Sam and Max

hmmm hard to say! I always imagined since Sam and Max are more cartoon-esque compared to Samantha and Maxine, they’d be more smaller proportioned compared to the style the freelance wives are drawn in. I kinda brushed past the fact Sam is canonically 6ft tall for that one doodle of them side by side-

I’d say Samantha is possibly 6ft 3in, definitely over 6ft at the very least. Maxine meanwhile is 5ft 2 in, significantly taller than her OG counterpart.

My friend and I are watching lots of cartoons we never got to watch as kids lately, and our current watch of the moment is Batman Beyond which is SO GOOD HOLY MOLY!! Can't even list all the things that are amazing with this show 👏💖💖💖

But it's one of those where it's like...I KNOW why they made the characters teens (because there was (still is) literally no market for adult animation that wasn't punch-down comedy garbage) so they had to find a place to air it SOMEWHERE but good lord, I'm still just spending the whole show just being like "they're in community college because that makes so much more sense than having them be 16???" Good lord 🙄 They keep showing "HIGH SCHOOL" on the school building like it's a reminder to the producers and execs that they're following Children's Show Guidelines and then the whole rest of the show is just...SO DARK AND GOOD??? *Also added note : NO ONE IS DRAWN LIKE A TEEN??? It really makes this show feel like it was pitched for adults but was told to tone it down for children but they liked the designs so keep them???? Make it make sense people lmao BETTER YET! Just make them college students?? Done!!!

All this to say I'm still always mad that there just isn't more adult cartoons?? I feel so spoiled now that Gargoyles actually had all adult characters god I didn't realize how novel it was until we were watching it!

Anyways, Batman Beyond is great, totally recommend it! Just wanted to yell about it here for a moment haha! ^ w ^ Making some Terry and Maxine fanart now because...they have slow burn literally just written ALL OVER THEM 😭😭😭😭 Nothing against Dana, I think she's cute (love her design), she's sweet, but she has no real character development (so far anyways) and meanwhile Maxine is like RIGHT THERE!! Jolly 🍦 Ice Cream 🍦 Monday!!!

Good Monday morning, friends!  I don’t know about where you live, but here it has been hot, hot, HOT!!!  Over 95° F at least 4 of the last 6 days, humid, and just overall miserable.  I’ve only left the house for a necessary grocery run, for as soon as I step out it’s as if somebody sucked all the air out of my lungs.  So, Joyful and Jolly decided that as a special treat, we would have an ‘Ice…

So I came up with a concept of my own multiverse night at the inventory thing, featuring ghost max….

We have 10 players in total: Sam, Demon Sam, Swap Sam, Samantha, Werewolf Sam, Max, Saint Max, Swap Max, Maxine, and our beloved Ghost Max.

The Sams and the Maxs both play at their own tables, talking to their own groups, like that extremely awesome Ao3 Fic, credit to the writer for coming up with that idea/srs.

Info about these certain multiverse sams and maxs:

Sam: just your average canon Sam, he’s been through all the stuff that happened in the games/cartoon/comics, he’s the Sam ever. Just this time, with a dead Max and an alive Max companions.

Demon Sam: After becoming the new ruler of the underworld, he’s decided to take it easy in life, or unlife? He doesn’t have as many Satan-y responsibilities as he thought he would, so he just hangs out with his very adorable angel husband. He has a more stern demeanor but he means well, I think? Him and Saint Max are called the Freelance Holy Ones. (Despite how unholy the two can really be)

Swap Sam: Sam but instead of being a more levelheaded detective, he’s almost just like normal Max in every way possible, yes, even height wise. Swap Sam is everything you could ever want in a rabid dog, he even probably has rabies. He loves to run around and cause trouble, he gets mistaken for a puppy sometimes due to his height and chubby physique. Him and Swap Max are still called the Freelance Police.

Samantha: Samantha (Sam for short but that gets confusing fast.) is literally just Sam but he’s wearing more feminine clothes. Honestly you could look at em and just assume it’s Sam in his drag persona. Samantha acts a bit more feminine than Sam as well, but not too much to make it obnoxious. I like to think she has a very nice and smooth middle age woman voice? I’m not sure how to explain it. Her and Maxine are still the Freelance Police as expected.

Werewolf Sam: This Sam has been a werewolf ever since he was little, inherited from his parents, he had the ability to transform into a werewolf during a classic full moon, but recently, as he’s gotten older, the werewolf part has since become more prominent and now he’s more werewolf than normal dog. He doesn’t entirely mind this, even though he has violent tendencies more often, he’s still a very wholesome and sweet guy, Max calls him his big ol’ dangerous teddy bear. Max is his werewolf caretaker, after formerly being a werewolf hunter, he decided to give up the job in order to support his Sam.

Max: Everyone’s favorite little lagomorph, he’s the same ol’ max from the ending of 305. We all know him, we all love him.

Saint Max: Saint Max is everything holy and good in the world, which is what he likes to think he is. Saint Max often acts nice and chipper, always seeing the best of EVERYTHING ever but underneath that thinly veiled self, there’s a thirsty little bastard gremlin who can be a brat sometimes. People think that some of Demon Sam had rubbed off on Saint Max, but no, that’s how he’s always been.

Swap Max: Swap Max is basically just Max but with Sam’s personality, but I made this personality slightly more edgy like Noir Sam. Why? Cus I thought it’d be interesting. Swap Max is still a rabbity thing, but he’s much taller now, he’s also bulked up slightly but not much. He still has a comedic side like Sam but it comes out a little less, but one thing I do know, is that he uses long winded words and sentences just like any normal Sam would.

Maxine: Maxine is EXACTLY like Max, in almost every way, she’s just Max with a bow around her neck and some yass queen earrings. Her voice is slightly raspier and her mannerisms have a touch of feminine traits, but she’s still just Max in a cute lil bow.

Ghost Max: Ghost Max is just Max before 305, coming back down from space, he hangs out with Sam and Max as their “ghost buddy” because they still haven’t gotten it through their thick skulls that the ghost is just Max. Ghost Max can play with both the Sams and the Maxs, because no one actually sees him, they just see floating cards that he’s holding. He’s equipped with a red marker, he can write simple words and drawings on a notepad or something. It’s supposed to look like blood but he didn’t have any spare blood on hand. Ghost Max has the ability to cheat and switch cards around. If this poker night game was a real thing, the player would probably be Ghost Max himself.

Lucasfilm Spotlights Animation for Star Wars Celebration with Star Wars Visions Vol 2 Trailer.

Star Wars Celebration in London offered up a hefty bounty for fans on the hunt for exciting new animated content set in the Lucasfilm universe. Panels featuring filmmakers and cast from Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Star Wars: Visions Volume 2, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and more offered updates, including a new trailer and full cast list for Visions

To close out Star Wars Celebration’s animation panels, on Monday afternoon there was a Star Wars: Visions panel. The panel was filled with an abundance of reveals ahead of the series’ May 4, release — including first story details for all nine shorts, the full cast list, the trailer and key art.

The second anthology will continue to push the boundaries of Star Wars storytelling, with nine new shorts from nine studios from around the globe. Employing an array of animation styles from a variety of countries and cultures, the Volume 2 offers a dynamic new perspective on the storied mythos of Star Wars.

To kick off the panel, host Amy Ratcliffe introduced executive producers of the Emmy-nominated series, Josh Rimes, James Waugh and Jacqui Lopez, who discussed the success of the show’s first season and its unique concept featuring a collection of animated shorts that stretches beyond any one form of animation and serves as a broader framework for Star Wars storytelling.

biography

Calypso was born ten minutes after Finn, and he has never let it down. Growing up, she always relied on Finn for everything. From walking to the school bus to paying for her items at the corner store, he was always there for her and she didn’t mind. His voice was hers with her hand grasping for his and following in little steps close behind. It wasn’t until middle school where she found her voice, a stern attitude at that. A young girl was getting bullied and she stepped in. Little did she know that that girl, Emilie, ended up becoming her best friend. Even then, she struggled: fighting with generational demons gifted by her alcoholic parents and grappling with the fact that her mother berated her to the point of self mutilation. Her appetite to survive and preservation in thriving ran deep. Every chance she got, she would hang out with her parent’s best friend’s kids. She become close friends with their two kids. Soon, she found herself dragging Finn to the Shepard’s every weekend, and they didn’t seem to mind as they welcomed them with open arms. Little did they know, she was using them to avoid her mother up until she entered college. As she entered her junior year in college, her best friend got cancered and didn't survive. A year later, the outbreak happened. Finn and she found their parents already turned when they got home after protecting the apartments, resulting in having to end them herself. Because of her actions, Cleo became gravely ill, leaving the twins to stay stationed in the confides of their home until another solution appeared before them: finding sanctuary within their limits, San Francisco, California.

Cleo will punch you in the face if you use her real name. Certain people are able to use it. The only reason people know her real name is because Finn accidentally said it during a fight and she didn’t talk to him for a whole month. Granted, it was hard for her. She just doesn’t know how to talk about her feelings, so she takes a lot of time to sort out how she’s really feelings. She doesn’t trust people easily, but she trusts action so if she sees you attempting to do what you say, she will crack the door open to communicate. When someone breaks down her walls, she is a completely different person, she can actually hold a conversation, or be considerate and think of the needs of others before herself. She is information seeking, all the time, because she feels knowing more makes you a better person, which is all she wants to be at the end of the day.
