breaking my comfort zone is already hard enough as it is: i have EXTREMELY HIGH anxiety so usually i just... kind of dont. i stay glued to my usual rp partner/s legs like a little kid being introduced to family friends and THEN if i'm able to i break off slowly

absolutely ANY shift of behaviors towards me without having notified me that we have a problem we gotta discuss or other stuff about that makes me go right back to square one :\ i don't do passive-aggressive and it has saved my ass many times where i broke off with people who can't/won't voice that and it led to a big realization that i won't let them bully me into submission. so that was fun

if you hold your ability to communicate hostage and wait for me to come to you crawling, not only im gonna take my distance like fucking speedy gonzales but i'm also significantly reducing my interactions with you, no matter if we're shipping/communicating on a daily basis or just mutuals etc. not to mention that i'll clam up and it'll take me plenty of time to be comfortable again around you and it'll be a pain for both of us. i like to think that seeing how much passive-aggressive communication harms and distances a person has taught people lessons and made them better at communicating, but i'm not hopeful.

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

Main Verse: She's a Primordial god of destruction that got reborn as the abomination child of Hecate; raised by Jewish lesbians in 90s NYC after the BPRD found her in a sarcophagus. She is constantly fighting against her inherent Ogdru Hem nature of destroying all reality, and just bein being a regular person. Inherited her mom's position as Queen of the Crossroads a few years back and juggles that and BPRD duties.

Points of interest:

Resting bitch face ahoy, and if she's not wearing her glasses (which assume for the most part she is), her eyes. She also has fangs which are more obvious when talking or smiling. Supernatural muses may feel free to 'sense' an odd or unsettling aura around her.

What they’ve been up to recently:

Main timeline: rebuilding the BPRD, lobbying for more supernatural rights, outreach and opening dialogue between the worlds for at least tolerable co-habitation. Guest Lecturing at colleges. Possibly writing a book on early bronze age cultures, and in talks on hosting a doc for BBC.

Where to find them:

New York, Fairfield (BPRD Headquarters) mainly, but her job(s) take her everywhere. Her family house in Limbo/Erebus and sometimes bothering the Hadean court. (Their Wifi sucks though.)

Current plans:

Not really? Just remade her blog to in-character shitpost, but if wills want more plotted stuff I'm down but I'm keeping it very chill here.

Desired interactions:

Cracky, fun, casual with little high stakes stuff at the moment is ideal. But more planned out stuff is possible. Bureau Shenanigans (Like The Office/WWDITS) style shit that's a little weird, crazy, but slice of life because that's life at the BPRD, especially HB/Kar sibling shenanigans. (But it doesn't have to be!) Fellow Chthonics/Gods just being regular jagoffs in the mortal realm is a vibe I like. "rumors" around her efficacy and terrifying mystic prowess. she feels a lot of shame for her service now, though, as she realizes that the fight is fruitless if 1) ragnarök is destined to be approaching and 2) neither side's leadership will stop to consider the long-term outcomes of either harnessing the light (and thus drawing directly from the lake of souls, thus disturbing or outright desecprating the dead) or destroying it (and thus permanently altering, if not halting, the journey to the afterlife for millions across species).

platforms : I originally started RPing on Deviantart in art-groups. Specifically a Pokemon Gijinka group. I've been RPing since ~2010 I only moved to Tumblr back in ~2015/2016

plotting / winging it / memes : I can do both/all? Generally I like winging it and memes to begin with just so we can jump right in, but I don't mind plotting things out to start. I LOVE coming up with big plots and over arching ideas. I want my blog to have "arcs" and feel like the characters are alive which does require plotting and I'm never against it!

muse preference.

gender : I normally RP female or NB muses, but I do drabble in male muses as well. My favorite non-OC muse is male but I tend to cling to more feminine or female-oriented muses because it's easier as an AFAB demigirl to attach to for me.

fluff / angst / smut.

fluff : I love fluff. Fluff, soft, slice of life, things to make the characters feel alive. Not everything has to be big bombastic and torturous! I want to have the "normal" every da moments to make the characters feel alive, breathing, and not just "hit this story beat every little thing has to have meaning" . This isn't a TV show, this isn't a time-crunch series, we have all the time in the world to go into these things that shows and series cant!

angst : I'm on and off with angst. I love angst because it develops and challenges characters but I also know too much can feel. dragging. I've, in the past, fallen into the hole of writing too much angst which became a whole. Is this me doing this for the character? Or am I only writing this to hurt myself? It's a whole thing but I'm never against angst as long as there's reason or purpose and it isn't literally everything I'm doing. There needs to be a balance, the angst will be so much better if we can build the characters up first.

smut : I'm extremely insecure about smut. I am terrified to make a fool of myself as I'm sorta on the Ace spectrum? Sort of, I identify with what is called Aegrosexual which is in the ace spectrum but that means everything is fantasy. I don't know how things actually work so I get worried I'm fucking it up and then I look foolish so I tend to stay away from it except under *very* specific circumstances with people I'm comfortable with.

This is Mersi Kokhavasheva, she/her. She is an Ilsabardian Raen Au Ra diviner-turned-knight based out of Gridania. I hope this will be a repository for the fan content I write about her story, from thoughtful snippets to five-part fanfiction.

FAQ&A

It's pronounced "mare-see" — not "mercy", though she understands the confusion — "koh-hha-vuh-shay-vuh".

Her preferred jobs were originally Bard, Dragoon, and Paladin, but she has of late swapped her arms for those of the Samurai, Dancer, and Gunbreaker. Blue magic is something of a special interest. She was raised on astrology, but has sworn off the cards since leaving home. Above all else, Mersi is a talented Weaver and seamstress, and is learning goldsmithing from her love.

She is engaged! Her love, A'rhya Velore, is a Gyr Abanian Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te with gorgeous ruby hair, and eyes like sapphire and amethyst, and a lovely soft voice that's not always able to be heard, and she's more than Mersi could ever have dreamed. However, recent events leave Mersi feeling less worthy than ever, and it shows in her haunted eyes whenever she's asked about a date for their wedding.

There is a timeline under construction for Mersi, A'rhya, and some friends along the way, to see how their spin on the Warrior of Light saga might look in a world in which, logistically, not every one of forty-eight million heroes could be veterans of the same battles.

I really crave some more Interaction with my DnD Character outside of the Campaign he is in, and so I decided to make Tumblr RP blog, just like in the good ole days. FYI I am 30+, very experienced in writing and roleplaying, and literate. As for my character...

His name is Curumë and he is a half-elf, with 1 class in rogue and 4 classes in warlock.

Additionally, I offer a Forgotten Realms AU version of the Wizard Raistlin Majere from the Dragon Lance Books as a muse. If you know the books / ADnD Modules, I'm also willing to write the canon version of the character.

I do this for fun, and I want it to remain fun! I will get to posts as quickly as I can. I do not rush muse. I will in turn rarely ask after threads. If it has been a long while I will inquire and I of course welcome the same.

When I write posts I will use small text and icons, I like aesthetics. I do not ask anyone else do the same. I will write with you if you have icons or not. I don't ask you match my length--if you do great if not also great, I do ask you give me a little to work with.

I will always <3 a post once I have drafted it. This is to let you know I saw it. Also to remind me I drafted it.

You may Always continue a meme. You may always continue an open or a Starter! I am unsure how to cut on here these days. Though if I feel something has gotten to long I will continue it in another thread.

Please don't post me one day after I have replied if I have not replied in the same day. I can be slow if work|school| IRL is rough.

I do not mind writing ships, I will write ships with chemistry. The muse is demisexual and suffering from a petrification curse. So it might take a bit for him to warm up. We can chat about ships, we can wing it to see if they are compatible, please understand not all muses are compatible. It is okay to not return a crush, or affection, it is okay to say NO. I reserve the same right.

I will under no condition write smut with an underaged character ( should it even get to that point ). I will not write smut with an underaged Mun. Please don't do it, if I find out you lied to me about your age, I will block you. I have no problem writing with either, as long as it is not shippy.

--[] Combat []-- If you decide you might want to write combat, please understand that 𝐙𝐡𝐮 𝐙𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐠 is a demon god. Yes he looks young but he truly isn't. He is the leader of the demon realm in his main verse. He is heavily combat oriented and capable in cultivation, skills and abilities. Any combat must be discussed and worked out between muns. I will not accept auto hits, nor will I write something that suggests I have hit your character, it will be left open ended for you to reply too.

--[] I am LGBTAQ Friendly & A Safe Space []-- I am a safe space, I am not drama oriented I will never make vague posts, and I will not participate in ooc drama. Its not within me to do so. IRL is terrible enough to be cruel to each other. I will unfollow blogs that are constantly vague posting. I am semi-selective in the way that if I don't see the characters immediately interacting, or a way to I will shy away. I will however chat with you to keep this minimum. I will write in other verses, but I rarely change much of my character--please be aware of this. As this is who the character is. The same respect is given to other muses. ✧ Very canon divergent. A lot of history, headcanons, and even in-game events are explored differently here. While in some realm canon complimenting this iteration greatly diverges from the norm.

✧Triggering content containing NSFW both sexual and intensive themes. I do write smut but all of the above is put under a read more and tagged accordingly. Please be 18+ to interact.

✧ Selective, crossover/oc friendly, mutuals only etc etc. I only interact with mutuals and wait to be followed first before following back if I can see our characters and writing meshing well. This is just so I can have an active dashboard that I can freely interact with.

✧ You do not need a verse to interact with my muse. If anything I prefer general crossover to see how they interact in their various worlds.

✧ While open to shipping and discussing possible connections with my muses I will not insta-ship. It’ll have to be chemistry and interaction based with buildup and note the blog is not ship-focused.

✧ Please like any ask or starter I answered for you! Tumblr as always has its faults in its notifications. It’ll save me a lot of anxiety if you do! Thanks a bunch!

✧ I don’t do mains or exclusives in any way. While I do have close mutuals I’ll interact with a lot because of comfort there are no central characters or plots otherwise besides my own. If a muse wants to get involved in some exclusive way please come by me to see if we can plot something out.

✧ I’m not interested in poly-shipping. Nothing wrong with it ofcourse but Im only really comfortable shipping with friends or mutuals I know and on the same space as I’m in. I’d ask for a single-verse for my muse or we can go through a platonic route if your muse is exclusively poly, but as with anything please come talk to me for anything.

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

Tropes: *goes to AO3* Lmao, "Hurt Stephen Change" is at the top. Which yes, is definitely characteristic. Other common tags are Canon-Typical Violence, Whump, and equally "Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence" as well as "Canon Compliant". I like exploring both realms with the MCU (in LOTR, it was largely canon compliant as I love the LOTR canon). While I love comedy, I write more angst than comedy likely because it's easier. Doing comedy well is particularly tricky.

For details: I love parenthetical asides and you'll see those very often. Some sort of visual details are seen in all my works, even if the reader's likely aware of what the character looks like. It's good practice in learning how to give interesting descriptions of both characters and settings. You get a lot of internal monologue in my fics, too. Limited third person in past tense is my primary writing style.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

I'm very pleased with the alternate reality I've built with Earth-197320 (and I'm so pleased I'm finally posting the final fic in that series to tie everything together).

I also can't believe I managed to pull off the Kamar-Taj world-building in Wong, Target Sales Associate as well as I did.

42. Have you ever received a comment that particularly stood out to you for whatever reason?

I imagine that for many writers, it's easy to forget the good reviews and have the bad reviews that shine through the fog of memory. So while 99% of my reviews through my 20 years of writing have been good, some of the ones that stand out are the bad ones, including the ones that made me leave writing LOTR fanfic back in 2011 when my attempt at a "magnum opus" got some less-than-stellar feedback. I stopped posting and migrated completely to RP for the next 7 years.

The funniest of my negative reviews, though, came about 2 years ago. When I got back into fanfic in 2017, I still cross-posted to fanfiction.net, which included my first DS fic, a DS/LOTR crossover. One of the later reviews I received treated the fic as if it were a Good Reads book review and it was so odd that it still makes me snicker in disbelief. You can't reply publicly to reviews on ff.net so I didn't bother, but if I could I would've told them that this isn't Good Reads and that this is not how this works.

There are some good reviews that stand out over time, too, though. One of them was yours from about 2 years ago! You complimented me on my Carol and that still makes me beam since it shows that I can write characters I don't like so well that people don't notice. It's one of the best compliments a writer can receive, IMO.

Other reviews that stand out are people who tell me they're rereading a fic, a long review that clearly took some time and thought, or anything that catches a detail that I just don't know will be seen by others.

Backstory

Maverick's story begins in the enchanted realm known as the Moors, ruled by the powerful and feared sorceress, Maleficent. Born out of forbidden love between Maleficent and a human prince, Maverick's existence was considered an abomination by those who held prejudice against the union of fae and humans.

As a child, Maverick inherited the striking physical features of his mother, with raven black hair, piercing green eyes, and an air of undeniable magic.
