I love the unspoken indication that Leo 100% relayed his and his brothers' full names to Karai some time during S1 because there's absolutely no rhyme or reason for her to know their full names when they almost exclusively use their nicknames around everyone.

And after watching how Mikey hardly wasted any time to rave about his brothers to Napoleon, I'm hit with the funny idea of Leo and Mikey being the types to talk at length about their family when they find a willing listener (I guess Raph kind of fits into that category with him telling Casey about Slash lol).

Donnie on the other hand was stuck venting to Timothy about the woes of formerly being friends with a human girl when you're a mutant-

Anyway. I am knuckles deep in chapter 15 and have added a new rune to the system!

Mannaz - the rune that holds memories.

Depending on what you believe memories are, it can show itself in various different forms.

I think I did pretty well on this one! And I changed the death rune. It originally was Mannaz but it is another one now.

how is yassified emps with his custodes?

Oh a very fun one! This kind of comes in layers

Very attached to them for sure!

They’re kind of the closest thing he’s ever really gotten for stability tbh, and he tends to cling to that pretty often, though not all Custodes are held in the exact same regard.

Most majority of his custodes it’s a very formal, mostly, connection. There is a sense of unspoken closeness but with a deeper understanding that outward expressions of that closeness are unlikely and rare if happen at all.

When you narrow it down to those who spend most of their time about holy Terra you get a bit lighter of a relationship and closer even If there’s still that silent understanding of formality to it. You do get to see Emps lowered walls a bit though if you’re lucky!

Now, more of his PERSONAL personal guard, like those who are around Emps next to 24/7? That’s where the fun begins. They really tend to get a lot more of that closeness and have that formality (varying but still) lower, you kind of range from standard custodes unspoken formal closeness, to being kind of his confidant and on occasions a care taker and sometimes little pup that gets scruffed and carried about (when Emps is especially broody and missing his sons-) to be shown memory lane amongst other things (it’s a bit rare for him to be so outwardly affectionate, normally you’ll just get given a nice meal or some old archeo-human gift emps either made or has kept around if he really likes you, but not unheard of-). They really just kind of get further exposed to the Emp-isms and little habits he feels more comfortable letting show when he’s not playing emperor of all man kind, see him much more as human than many other people get to.

Really all and all it entirely depends on the Custodes, the situations they wind up in and so on, lotta factors into emps lowering his walls even if only a little and to growing attached. You might be around emps as much as you can kind of squeeze out and he just never latch onto the personality or whatever, and you can have a Custodes around emps every so often and he just grow a soft spot for you. The inner machinations of his strange mind are an enigma

Margo keeps her club 11:59 doomsday clock docking mechanism coaster on her desk long past the point where she can reasonably say, "It's a reminder of the geopolitical importance of joining our countries together in the neutral theater of unforgiving space."

It's her reminder of spending time with someone who's so in sync with her, someone who inspires her to better herself while never compromising her core values, that it makes her breath catch every time.

She tilts her head in wonder at the new person before her. Traveling with someone always gave her joy, it was all she knew with someone beside her constantly. Always loving her with pets and praise. She was a good girl that always did good.

Walking over slowly, she sniffed the person's hand. Testing out their smell in some dog way knowing if they were friend or someone one who would hurt them. They didn't smell like something that she knew before; it was a pleasant smell to say the least.

With a bark she nudges their hand, tail wagging as she enjoys the scratching behind her ear. Enjoying the kindness from someone else she is now meeting in the strange world she travels in.

that Hannah Arendt quote is in the context of discussing loneliness as a tool for supporting and propogating totalitarianism and the regimes of the mid-20th century.

Margo's story has always been about her relationship to the state and nationalism and its impact on her understanding of self and her view of morality. It is about identity in a world of ideology.

every system is corrupt.

she's both taken advantage of it and defined herself against it. yet she still can't escape the world forcing her to operate in that context. what does that mean for her in this directionless space, cut off from so much of what she would think made her herself?
