Imagine being told that you're gonna like a character and just in spite of proving them wrong you start to watch it and a month later you have consume 6 seasons, 148 episodes and your whole life has been changed over a fricking ant.

I can't even get started on Meruem and Komugi.

Meruem, the absolute epitome of life, the superior lifeform, absolutely perfect, and Komugi who was so viscerally human, opposite of perfect, blind, kind of a dork, but brought out the best in Meruem, made him feel emotions.

She gave him something to live for, so that he wanted to completely give up on his sole purpose for existing, he wanted to live for her.

And then when he was finally able to, it was too late, he was doomed. And as a final act of love, Komugi gave her life away for him, the only creature who had ever appreciated her for who she was and saw beauty in her humanity.

I just love how their arc shows that even the most perfect being has a weakness, and Meruem's was his innate, although deeply buried, humanity, brought out by his love for Komugi.

no but you dont GET IT. meruem was born with the sole purpose of ruling the earth, the power of entire armies in one being. the meaning of his name "the light that illuminates all". bro he could do anything. go anywhere. have anyone he wanted.

but all he wants is to play gungi with this sweet yapper of a farm girl. he shifts his goals so that shes included in the world he will create. he strives to FIX the world to be a better place for her. bro SHE was his world
