A visual scale of what 1g mushrooms might look like. Spoiler Alert: use a scale always. Potency can vary even between 1g of the same variety, or between 1g dosages of different varieties. This is why I recommend folks to grind up their mushrooms and take in a capsule, tea, or edible form. This will help make dosing more accurate. Trying a new variety? Start lower. Mush love, Be Safe At The Parties!

I just realized here in the early morning hours that in a straight couple, you are indubitably getting some kind of power struggle where both the man and the woman assume, maybe even subconsciously, that they’re respectively going to be the winners. You could say This is probably why 99% of non-marriage relationships end and 50% of all marriages end in straight folk. It isn’t that most couples HaTe EaCh OtHeR, it is that they have some competition going on in their minds that there exists no rules to.

I need a mushroom tattoo , as someone who believes in microdosing . I had such a great experience doing it , I have ADHD , and I find I can actually get things on the days that I microdose. I also find on regular days my mind is not present I can barley socialize because I feel trapped in my head, on the days I microdose I feel free and can actually engage and speak to people properly. Has anyone else experienced this as well? What was your experience with microdosing ?

In the study, which was recently published in Nature-Scientific Reports, 953 people taking regular small amounts of psilocybin and a second group of 180 people that were not microdosing were tracked. This latest research to come from the Microdose.me project was led by University of British Columbia (UBC) Okanagan’s Dr. Zach Walsh and doctoral student Joseph Rootman.
Participants in the 30-day study were asked to complete a number of assessments that evaluate mental health symptomology, mood, and measures of cognition. For instance, to measure psychomotor ability, a smartphone finger tap test was integrated into the study. This can be used as a marker for neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease.
Those microdosing psilocybin demonstrated greater improvements in mood, mental health and psychomotor ability over the one-month period compared to non-microdosing peers. Both groups completed the same assessments.
“This is the largest longitudinal study of this kind to date of microdosing psilocybin and one of the few studies to engage a control group,” says Dr. Walsh, who teaches in the Irving K. Barber Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. “Our findings of improved mood and reduced symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress add to the growing conversation about the therapeutic potential of microdosing.”

Why Do Shrooms Make Us Sweat? - By Mycolancer
Tumblr media
Hey! Mycolancer here. I recently started experimenting with higher (but still pretty low) weekly doses to manage my depression and wicked intrusive thoughts about off-ing myself. It was getting so bad that even microdosing based on Dr. Fadimann's protocol wasn't working too well anymore. I'm happy to say I am doing better now, but I noticed that, just like many of my pals, I'm sweating! Why? So I decided to do some research, as one does. This is what I've found. This is a short synopsis, nothing too indepth, but I hope you enjoy this article regardless!
Tumblr media
Let's break down the potential biological reasons for sweating in each of these scenarios:
Increased Heart Rate:
When you consume magic mushrooms, the active compound psilocybin is converted to psilocin in the body.
Psilocin affects serotonin receptors, leading to changes in neurotransmitter activity.
Serotonin also plays a role in regulating heart rate and blood pressure.
An increase in heart rate can stimulate the body's thermoregulatory system, leading to increased sweating as a way to cool down the body.
Changes in Body Temperature Regulation:
Psilocin affects the serotonin receptors in the brain, influencing various physiological processes, including temperature regulation.
Altered perception of temperature may occur, leading the body to believe it needs to cool down, resulting in increased sweating.
Anxiety or Nervousness:
Psilocybin and psilocin can influence mood and emotions by affecting serotonin receptors in the brain.
In some individuals, the psychedelic experience may induce anxiety or nervousness.
Anxiety triggers the body's "fight or flight" response, which includes an increase in heart rate and sweating as part of preparing the body for potential challenges.
General Physiological Response:
Sweating is a natural physiological response to regulate body temperature.
Changes in perception, sensory experiences, or altered states of consciousness induced by magic mushrooms may impact the brain's control over bodily functions, including temperature regulation.
The body may respond with increased sweating as a general response to the altered state induced by the psychedelic substance.
In summary, the biological mechanisms involve the impact of psilocin on serotonin receptors, which can affect heart rate, temperature regulation, and emotional responses. These changes can lead to an increased need for cooling through sweating in various scenarios during a psychedelic experience. I hope you enjoyed this short article. Remember, to go low and slow if you're not experienced! Mush Love, Mycolancer

I microdosed psilocybin mushrooms for ten days¹. here is my microdose journal.
2023-11-3
started 11am by eating 0,1g of mushrooms with vitamins, SSRIs & a cup of coffee
11:45am
definitely feeling more light-headed and curious than I expected. going to brew myself another cup of coffee.
12:45pm
I have a headache
2023-11-4
I have a terrible hangover. I'll continue tomorrow.
2023-11-5
even after sleeping the whole day yesterday I still have a hangover. new try tomorrow
2023-11-6
slow and sleepy day. at 1pm I took 0,1g. now I wait. I have a doctor's appointment in couple of hours.
woke up at 2:15-ish pm feeling pretty relaxed. I felt little sweat on my face. it's like ghosts of the weekend had left and only thing that was present was a gentle dew.
doctor's appointment was pretty intense
2023-11-7
didn't feel like it
2023-11-8
ate 0.05g at 7:30pm. I have been feeling quite energetic today and am planning to go and work for a project later tonight.
9pm I feel tired and frustrated. I also feel my teeth. this feeling reminds me why I don't like psychedelics.
I'm also out of cigarettes.
2023-11-9
this experiment has come to an end. the results were dissapointing. maybe I'll give this experiment another try in the future.
¹ my original plan was to do the experiment for ten days but I quickly realized that is not going to happen

yesterday i tried microdosing shrooms and while it didn't turn out to be a microdose (as in i felt mildly stoned and a little sensory-weird) i was in a surprisingly good mental state all day INCLUDING not being unbearably cold all the time
trying again today
