Creon got yeeted into 1st millenium BC and eventually up becomes friends with Lucifer & Lilith. Lucifer makes Creon his first ever paladin for her task of hunting down dark artifacts and grimoires.

For nearly 2 millennia, Creon hoped of reaching her actual future time of 2085 or at least make sure her corpse won’t be dug up and kick-start an early bio-weapon war. During those years she has accumulated knowledge, learning more languages, picking up trades and practices, and expanding her culinary expertise. She fully honed her meta-mutant abilities.

Eventually she was caught by some magicians who were planning to summon the devil. They trapped her with magic and used innocent hostages to force her compliance. The summoning backfired and killed summoners, including the hostages, sadly.

Lucifer was really shocked when he first saw Creon and almost confused her for a demon. He helped heal Creon and Creon simply explained the situation she got caught in. Creon makes a deal with Lucifer to make sure her body would be wiped from existence once she died. In return, she hunts down all demonic artifacts and grimoires for disposal. Lucifer has gotten tired of a$$hole humans summoning him for power or other evil business.

Creon also felt sorry for Lucifer and used occasional summoning as an excuse to let him see more of Earth and the good in humanity, and just hang out.

Lilith will be suspicious of Lucifer’s recent deal and how this “human” is putting him in more good moods. She decides to confront Creon through Lucifer’s connection, only to end up befriending Creon as well. Creon will find ways to summon both Lucifer and Lilith to Earth for visits and just to hang out.

When Creon had troubles with facing some witches, Lucifer assigned Paimon to teach Creon magic. Paimon found the task demeaning and below his station and was a condescending ba$tard. Creon didn’t want to insult Lucifer’s choice in tutors since Paimon was a trusted advisor and magic practitioner. Still she asked for a different tutor, and Paimon threw one of his least impressive sons into the proverbial fire. Paimon will regret this decision in the future.

Cyrus is weakest in magic strength, but his intellect is well known. Paimon believed him to be a good pawn to sacrifice. Both Cyrus and Creon became friends and helped each other grow. While Creon won’t be powerful in magic, she can detect, read, and intercept spells and rituals. She mastered a few favored spells but that's it. It’s given her a leg-up when facing ego-maniacal witches who expect a meat-headed barbarian.

Cyrus benefited the most since Creon has shared stories and ideas from pop culture and media from the early 2000s and her time. Cyrus gained enough knowledge to work around his weak magic and eventually become a powerful artificer and spell-crafter on his own merit. He will become crucial in the developing of Hell in the future.

Lucifer and Lilith will witness a lot of good and bad on Earth, and the wonders and progress of ingenuity and innovation. Creon’s unyielding loyalty and focus on her task will endear her to them more. Lucifer will officially make Creon his first ever paladin (an inside joke about the Christian religion that was dominant during the Medieval ages). With time, the escapades and feats of the Devil’s Paladin will be infamous in Hell.

On down times Creon will tell stories of her life from her future time and during the past millennia and sharing ideas of what to expect in the future. She’ll listen to their problems and offer whatever input and advice she can. She’s witnessed and experienced a lot in the past millennia. Enough time for her to work through her own past traumas and accepting her new life as an almost ageless immortal. Creon was merely existing and wasting time while hoping that her existence doesn’t break the timeline.

Now she’s grateful for the end goal, a purpose to work towards, and she’s made friends that she can be truly honest with. She has always felt like “other” compared to everyone in the past millennia. She can look forward to an afterlife with friends who accept ALL of her.

I’m debating if her task takes more than a century or if she finally dies in the early 1800s. She is globe-trotting wiping out evil magicians, but she still goes out of her way to help people that desperately need aid. She’s also harassed by occasional angels that try to “save” her by offering an out from the “Devil’s Deal.” The fact that Creon is cleansing evil artifacts from Earth doesn’t even factor in their minds, because a mortal dealing with the Devil is instant bad news.

To the end of her task and being on death’s door, Creon vehemently rejected Heaven’s offer to switch. She finally faced death willingly and happily to start a new afterlife with friends who are waiting for her.

I'm gonna preface this by saying that I know that Games Workshop are not fascists and that Warhammer 40k is openly intended to be a criticism and parody of fascism and other forms of authoritarianism

However, GW has still kinda stumbled into a similar issue that The New Order did, that issue being what I'm gonna call The Problem of the Reasonable Fascist because pretending I'm doing something clever makes me feel special

So, The New Order: The Last Days of Europe is a mod for Hearts of Iron 4 set in a timeline where the Axis won WW2 and things are to put it lightly not going well

Over time, the setting's lore has gone through a bunch of revisions, with a pretty big one being the removal of Esoteric Nazism as a distinct ideology group

In early versions of the mod, there was Fascism (ie. the ideologies practiced in real world Germany and Italy in during WW2) and then there was Esoteric Nazism, which was basically Batshit Insane Fascism, which takes Fascist ideology in darker or downright bizarre directions (eg. A vaguely 40k-inspired Russian Imperial Cult that believed that Alexei Romanov was still alive and would return once the country was "cleansed") and represents some of the worst possible excesses of Fascism

These ideologies still exist in TNO, but were moved into the same ideology group as the non-esoteric fascists and went through revisions because the developers concluded that when you have groups like the Order-State of Burgundy wanting to trigger global nuclear war so True Aryans will inherit the Earth (ie. the ending of the Turner Diaries), the 3rd Reich seems a bit less crazy

That's what I'm referring to as the Problem of the Reasonable Fascist, the way some anti-fascist narratives are written can create something so over the top that it accidentally makes less extreme forms fascism seem not as horrible

40k runs in to this same issue due to the way it handles characters and the pre vs post-Horus Heresy Imperium of Man

The Imperium of Man in the 40th millenium is a theofascist hellhole so incomprehensibly vast that the death of billions each day to keep the war machine running isn't even a statistic, it's a rounding error, but it's also repeatedly presented as an empire in decline whose existence is a mockery of the Emperor's vision, which runs into the exact problem I'm talking about

The pre-Heresy Imperium was authoritarian, xenophobic in multiple meanings of the word, and openly hostile to any schools of thought that wasn't their own, but in comparison to the post-Heresy Imperium, it was a golden age, and those who fought in defense of it are generally written as pretty reasonable even though they're still authoritarians

Hell, the Horus Heresy happened in part because Horus saw a vision of the 40th millenium and thought that was the Emperor's end goal

The bar is set so low in the modern Imperium that if you aren't the kind of zealot who shoots someone for stuttering during prayers, you are basically treated as a pillar of rationality by the audience

Again, GW and its writers are not Fascists, but this is an interesting phenomenon I've noticed

What if the eclipse rape didn't happen, but Casca still survived somehow and retained her sanity? Do you think she'd follow Guts in his quest for revenge or carve her own, distinct path? How would her opinion on Griffith shift, would she hate him/deeply resent him/try to understand him/a mix of everything?

To be honest, I'm more interested in how you think this scenario should play out in order to feel satisfactory than in how Miura would've handled it, because I really dislike his portrayal of Casca post-eclipse. Also, there's a sequence leaving rent free in my head of Casca being mad and yelling at Griffith for sacrificing the Hawks and basically betraying the blind trust she had put on him and shattering her whole worldview in the process lol. Without Miura silencing her and the eclipse rape taking away her dignity and virtually destroying any hope for a fulfilling future interaction with Griffith, she would've had a solid chance to grow and develop really interesting changing dynamics with our two protagonists, and it's a shame it was stunted...

For me, when it comes to what I'd want to read or write in this scenario, I think Casca should go her own way and separate herself from Guts. Partly for worldbuilding-logistics reasons, actually - two branded sacrifices can't stay in the same place for long without majorly fucking up that place, as we saw in the Conviction arc.

But mainly because I like the idea of the two of them separating and doing their own thing, and I think it would work with the themes. Like the story could use their two characters to explore differing reactions to trauma - the healthy and the unhealthy. The making connections with other people and growing reaction, and the killing stuff as a coping mechanism reaction. Guts and Casca would essentially be foils for each other.

Unfortunately Casca's stuck with the less fun healthy reaction lol because only the unhealthy gets to be mired in fucked up homoeroticism with Griffith and I'm unwilling to sacrifice that for the sake of a more interesting female character.

So with that division, it would make sense for the narrative to divide the behelit and the armour between them, and in this case Casca should get the armour while Guts gets the behelit. The armour is in a way a test of self control and you can be pulled back from succumbing to it, while the behelit is a one and done monsterizing device, so the armour goes to the healthier one. Casca also collects friends in this scenario while Guts miserably Black Swordsmans around (Farnesca, anyone?)

So ultimately Guts gets my ideal post-Eclipse arc of obsessing over revenge/equality with Griffith and eventually becoming a monster just like him, whereupon maybe one or both die, or maybe Guts ironically rejoins him in a homoerotic "tragic" ending for him 😏

And Casca kind of gets Guts' Millenium Falcon arc through which the story reiterates the importance of relationships, where she wrestles with her own inner darkness but grows past the need for revenge and turns to other goals.

And then maybe her story intersects with Guts and Griffith's in that Griffith needs to be stopped to save the world from dragons or whatever so she allies with various people and does that, and is able to succeed specifically because she's not obsessed with revenge and can keep her head or something like that. Yk, like she uses the armour but is able to come back from it. Whatever.

I don't know or really care what the climax would be here. Does she kill Griff and maybe Guts too? Does she serve as a distraction while a magic thing happens? Or maybe they're reverting the world back to low fantasy and it has nothing directly to do with Griffith and Falconia and she has to slay a dragon or something. Idk, point is she gets a moment to be badass and maybe be tempted by a monsterizing power-up but doesn't succumb to it.

Anyway yeah, idk I'm not super imaginative so my answer is basically "Berserk but Casca gets Guts' role and Guts gets to be gayer" lol. But that said, I would love to see Casca get to express her feelings so yeah that also fits into my thoughts here. Maybe she doesn't directly yell at Griffith but rather tells someone else about what happened and how fucked up it was? Or maybe she gets a Hill of Swords style reunion as well and does get to scream at Griff. It'd be nice. I do think that, in the brief amount of time we saw both her and Guts after the sacrifice and before the Eclipse rape, she was angrier with Griffith than he was.

In Namibia, the academic year runs from January to December, with the official age of entry to primary school being 7 years old. The system is structured 7-3-2: the primary school cycle lasts for 7 years, lower, secondary is 3 years, while upper secondary is 2 years. The UN correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tinubu arrived at the JF Kennedy International Airport in New York at about 6:45pm local time. The President is leading the Nigerian delegation to attend the scheduled events of the general assembly from Sept. 18 to 26 in what is his first outing in his capacity as the President of Nigeria. The president was received by the Minister of Foreign of Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the UN, Amb.Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, and Maj.-Gen. Dangana Allu, Nigeria’s Defence Attache, Washington D.C. On Wednesday, the Nigerian President is slated to participate in the high-level dialogue on financing for development. He will attend a high-level meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness, and Response. On Thursday, he will be participating in the UN Secretary General’s Climate Ambition Summit and attend a high-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage. He is also expected to join another high-level panel on reform of the global financial architecture. On Friday, he will be attending the high-level meeting on the fight against tuberculosis. During the week, Tinubu is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings with world leaders including the presidents of the European Union Commission, Brazil, and South Africa, among others. Tinubu will also advance his economic development agenda for aggressive investments attraction in meetings with the global leadership of transnational firms. Among such firms are Microsoft, Meta Technologies, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, and a few others. also yeah, about Troue/Felix, crazy how it reminds me of a main, late plot of DGM, but pushed to its extreme and i have opinions and all.

see in D. Gray Man we there's a twist in around volume 14 or so that reveals to us that the reason Allen, our protagonist, doesn't have any memories predating his 6th birthday, is because inside of him, there is Someone Else. And this person is Nea, the brother to Allen's sworn enemy, the Millenium Earl.

We learn in future volume that basically at some point in the past, Past!Allen and Nea were friends, as adults, but Nea planned a rebellion against his family and was left near death after a fight with his brother, so Past!Allen took Nea inside of his body in order for Nea to take his body over down the line and finish what he started.

The problem is that the spell or whatever that caused the merging of their souls also ended up 1) making Allen younger, making him 6yo again, 2) had Allen forget absolutely everything about his past life, 3) locked Nea into slumber for the next 10 years.

so by the time Nea actually awaken, expecting Allen to remember their common past and their vow, and trying to take over well.... Allen doesn't remember, Allen built a life for himself since then, a life he's not ready to abandon, and especially since Nea's goals might destroy the whole world in the process of getting back at his family.

The state of current!DGM is currently a mental struggle between Allen and Nea, as Nea tries to take over, over and over again, trying to kill people close to Allen, and erasing Allen from existence, while Allen is trying to cling to his sanity and his own sense of self, while also trying to understand what were the decisions he made in a past he doesn't remember for this to happen.

Anyway so the thing is that the Troue/Felix situation reminds me of that, with someone with amnesia moving on with his life and trying to build something for himself, developing a new set of morals and stuff, while suddenly a relic from the past comes knocking and threatens to take over to finish what they started. Except that in the case of Felix/Troue, Felix, so far, won. As far as we know Felix is completely in control by now.

when we bring up the theory of Felix not even being Troue's base personality but the memories of Durandal it made it even more striking to me and now i'm going to fucking cry.

i don't mean that it is supposed to be a parallelism or even that the stories are too similar either, but good fucking lord if i had a nickel everytime i had to panic because my amnesiac good boy is faced with decisions they made in a past they don't remember that ends up destroying their new life and make them a possible threat to the world, losing their agency to a part of them that consider themselves the "rightful owner of this body", i'd have two nickels. which isn't much but SURELY you can see it's weird!!!! for me!!!!
