they r both baptist christians but the good loving kind not the mean kind

etta: she does have a rabbit’s foot that clyde gave her as an anniversary gift last year but she’s not sure it works all that wellclyde: he has like 20 of his own rabbit feet that he just knows they work and he believes the more u have the luckier u are thats why he plans on giving etta another one this year

etta: she WILL. NOT. hold her ground. ever at all if she gets in an argument she is always the first one to back down and she does so within about 2 minutesclyde: sometimes he stays up too late and passes out on the ground and etta has to carry him to bed

“that’s an opinion.” mari met her gaze, eyes sparkling with some sort of mischief. “unless you have some proof.” 

“have you ever actually seen a ghost?” claire deflected, crossing her arms. “like for real? i’ve read your stuff and it mostly seems like –”

“like bullshit?” mari laughed, and it seemed half like she was laughing at claire and half at herself. “i’ve seen some interesting things, but you’re right. like you, i’m still looking for proof.”

Tbh the NSB challenge is too much for me, but I know someone is making another version of it (not the same at all) but with color and everything ! I can’t remember their name and can’t find them again but I hope I’ll find them again soon lmao I did a berry sim for a bachelorette challenge tho here. But it stress me out to do so much colours bc I’m lost and I feel disconnect with how I should do berry sims :( But yeah I’m looking forward a lighter NSB challenge bc this one ? hhhh I like to see it played, but I’d hate to play it lmaooo *EDIT : I just found the simmer again !!! Sending messages to them to know WHEN I can play this wonderful challenge*

Also I can always do colourful sims as request, it’s a challenge and it’s good for me :D

high school au for the last lorinean bc i want my characters to not have to go through extreme trauma lets GO

basing this vaguely off of @marywhal‘s bury the lead because that fic is so important to me and my characters have some similar-ish dynamics. just let me write about a boarding school and newspaper!!!

Lilli - attending and living at Aronian High as a scholarship student; Madame Judith, a rich spinster in the city, funds the scholarship. gets cajoled into joining the newly reformed school newspaper by her roommate, Illizian. junior.

Illizian - international student at Aronian High. she has a habit of being stubborn, and butts heads with Professor Ausma on almost a daily basis. after a particularly bad incident, she is removed from his class, but must find something else to take for credit in order to graduate. finding journalism as an “at your own pace” course, and having a genuine interest in journalism, she decides to reform the old school newspaper and harass as many people as possible into joining her. senior. 

Sadene - legacy student at Aronian High. very lup adventurezone-esque. having also butted heads with one of her professors, Sadene willingly drops out of the class and joins the journalism/newspaper squad as a replacement. butts head with Illizian a lot because they are both just so stubborn. plays some sort of sport. senior.

Addien - legacy student at Aronian High. joins the newspaper-- not because his sister is doing it, but because their mother ran the newspaper when she was a student and he wants to make sure Illizian isn’t going to mess it up. senior.

Lythinia - legacy student at Aronian High, and Professor Ausma’s daughter. plays the same sport as Sadene. despite being Illizian’s girlfriend, she doesn’t join the newspaper, only supports them from afar and by helping them break into various rooms in the school. senior. 

Bethanius - graduated alum of Aronian High who runs a coffee shop down the road from the school. was Lilli’s orientation leader her freshman year, and they’ve been good friends ever since. they support the newspaper with whatever caffeine they can, and give good over-the-counter advice. 

Ausma - graduated alum and professor at Aronian High. not around a lot because his character is not a great person. maybe I should just cut his involvement and introduce random antagonistic teachers? got this far without realizing my mistake aaaAAAaa

Naska - employee at Bethanius’s coffee shop, and student at Aronian High. has been running a black market newspaper since starting at Aronian High, and wants in on the legal production, too. definitely not my planned love interest for Sadene, of course not, that would be spoilers. senior.

Madame Judith - mysterious donor to Lilli’s scholarship fund. has tea with her every weekend at the coffee shop (she doesn’t like coffee). offers sage advice and memories about Lilli’s mother. surprisingly funny.

ESURIENCE IS HERE!

Hey guys, it’s finally that time!  I’ve put up the first page of Esurience here.  Only one page, but I’m tentatively thinking that I’ll do an update a week until I have a better feel for how quickly I can finish pages.

What is Esurience?

The short version: Esurience is a high fantasy about the end of the world.

The long version: Esurience follows the travels of two groups of survivors after the world’s population has disappeared without a trace.  Solvan, a country of sun and magic, is breaking down as its caretakers are no longer there to maintain the magic that keeps it running.

As the groups head north to avoid fatal magical storms, they encounter the things that lived through the apocalypse, a team of dragon hunters seeking glory, and answers that only seem to raise more questions, all the while learning to bridge the gaps created by personal and cultural differences.
