You could see Hector deflate beside you as the comments came in. You two had been dating for a year, public for 5 months now, both of you knew that there would be some hate but it hadn’t gone down even after 5 months. All the hate came from your fans and you hated how bad they made your boyfriend feel. Just seeing him sad like that made you furious but your manager wouldn’t let you post anything telling the fans off.

In your eyes and the eyes of all the people that really know Hector he is the sweetest person ever and yes he does have confidence but he’s definitely not arrogant. He was the best boyfriend you could ever wish for, taking in account every single thing you felt and you hated that some of your fans couldn’t see that. 

You truly were getting desperate to finally speak out about the matter so you angrily texted your manager, telling her that this couldn’t go on and that you didn’t care if you lost fans for defending your boyfriend, because he was hurting and you didn’t want that.

Finally, after months of begging your manager agreed so you selected some of your favorite photos with Hector and created a post, drafting a caption and sending it to your manager, she agreed and you copied it into insta. After that you perfected it a little, asked Hector if he was fine with you posting it and then posted it when you got the green light from your boyfriend.

Hector is the sweetest person i’ve ever met and in the year and two months that we’ve been together i’ve never been happier. He manages to always put a smile on others and my face without problems. Yes he’s confident but he’s not arrogant, not even close to it and I hate that you’re all just assuming that he is when you don’t even know him. He’s the best boyfriend I could ever ask for and I don't want anyone other than him. He had done so much for me, from helping me find ideas for videos and music, to taking me out on the perfect dates and giving me everything I could ever want.

There are no words for how much I love and care for him, being with him has been a dream come true. And to all my supposed fans that hate on him, i don’t consider you a fan because if you were you’d support Hector and me. All of the people that have left comments talking bad about Hector are just as bad as my haters and there is no excuse that can make me think differently.

A/N: Hi! This'll be my first post in this account. I just love the plot and reality shifted into it and now I got sum tea for all of y'all. This is just a part of what happened in my DR, just added some details.

Exhausted from yet another grueling overtime shift at work, you arrive home craving to be greeted by the warm embrace of your husband. Instead, you find an empty home, with no signs of life or activity. It's been 4 years since they've passed.

The silence is deafening, and you can't help but feel a sense of emptiness wash over you. You managed to eat a fastfood take out dinner, take a bath, cry in the tub and then go to bed. You laid down and felt a tingling sensation in your brain.

It's your spidey-sense. You knew something bad is gonna happen but you just don't seem to care, your heart froze over the years. Mourning and grief is all you've ever known.

Still, you reached for the lamp and looked by the window in your apartment.

"Why can't they all just die?" You sighed coldly, raising an eyebrow.

Two men was fatally struck and got ran over by a truck. You notice that glitch again as the sirens fill the road, You went back into bed like nothing happened, still as empty as before. It's been a year since you stopped meddling with civilians, you didn't see a point in saving them.

As you drift off to sleep, a bright, glitchy hexagonal portal appeared into your room, interrupting your sleep. A 7 foot tall, muscular spider variant, another female variant and a spiderpunk variant appeared from the portal.

You pressed the arc reactor at the back of your neck and immediately changed into your spidersuit.

"Amor?" The tall variant asked softly. You recognized his voice immediately because he's the only one who calls you that. You started to tear up under the suit and asked yourself if you're only dreaming. Emotions rush back into your brain after a long time.

"Miguel?" You removed your mask.

"Amor mio!" He greeted you with an embrace, his squeezing hug felt real. You froze in place, completely shocked and confused.

"Is she?" Spiderpunk whispered at the lady.

"Yep. Just let him have his moment." She replied calmly.

"You're back." Your voice breaks as he removes his mask, revealing his watery eyes. He looked at the window for a moment and asked the spiderlady and spiderpunk to fix the 'canon disruption' outside.

"What's happening?"

"Amor, you left traces of canon disruptions for the whole year. Lyla, can you run it?" A small holographic display of a virtual assistant appeared next to him. She explained what canon events are and you ignoring your senses and not saving the neighborhood is a canon event that should be stopped.

"So you were monitoring me since then?" A punch of anger and confusion struck your chest.

"Mi vida, I'm not from here. I'm from another dimension." He explains, holding your hand. He's kneeling on your bed where you sat.

"Wow. So, you can do all this, visit me." You scoffed. He looks down, fidgeting his shaky fingers.

"You can access this dimension all this time but you never did." You have so many questions and you're walking back and forth, having a crisis while asking where he's been all this time. Those questions are left in the open, halted by a moment of silence.

"I lost Gabriella too." He sighs. You halted for a moment to face him. He's staring at the floor, inner brow raised, openly expressing his sadness and regret. His words hang in the air, the gravity of what he's just said hits you like a force of a bullet.

"I tried to live in a universe where I was dead and you're both alive..... but tragedy followed me everywhere.

When I found you and this universe, my hopes went up but I realized that I should probably leave you alone cause I got scared."

"Miggy..."

"It's better being a coward than watch you glitch away repeatedly." His grinned with a pair of watery eyes, trying to hold it back.

"Honey, I'm sorry. I didn't know." You placed your hand on his shoulders. Your touch provided him a sense of comfort and relief.

"I understand, but what you did here, almost causing a nexus event, It's gruesome, It's cold, That's no way to live." He sat next to you, looking directly at your dark hollowed eyes. He's not mad but rather concerned. He knows everything you did, ignoring the city, causing New York to be a hellhole and a safe haven for criminals.

"I know. I feel rotten since you've been gone. I was weak and I didn't know how to cope. I know I can never bring back their lives, I can't save them if I'm drowning but I'll accept the consequences of my actions."

"I'm sorry you feel that way, but this is the only way I can take you with me. I won't make you suffer any longer." He sat you down on the bed and kneeled in front of you, holding your hands in a loving manner.

"Wait.. am I dying? Are you.. are you a ghost?" You cupped his cheeks and lightly taps it, checking his body heat.

"No no no, I'll take you with me. To my universe." He let out a soft chuckle, taking your hand and planted kisses on it.

Your face lightens up, you didn't understand how that would happen but you're just grateful to be together with him. That's what you both longed for, finally having a chance to be together.

"Let's go home."

Hey guys!!!

Yeah, we got an account. All of us collectively. The Guardians of Arcadia have a Tumblr account. Douxie and Toby wanted to get Twitter too, but Jim managed to convince the two of them that Tumblr was the safer option- with the help of Shannon and Darci. Mary was hyping them up to go into a physical fight with each other, but Jim loves Douxie and Toby too much for that sort of thing.

If you can't tell who's speaking, it's Claire here. I wrote this the day before but Jim decided he'd post it while he's in Spanish. We started school today- on the third of January- and now we're currently trying to figure out a strategy to kill Gunmar, if you want to know where we've gotten up to- but if you've checked out @theonceandfuturetrollhunter's account, then you'd know exactly what we're talking about. Still haven't figured out the ultimate game plan yet.

Douxie and Jim chose the username for the account because they thought it would be funny.

Personally, I find it kind of disturbing, but that's probably just me 😂😭. Dios mio, I've already started to use emojis like Jim.

Anyway, the people you'll find who make updates usually are me, Douxie, Toby, Mary, Darci and Eli. Steve will occasionally make a random s***post, and Jim will update regularly, but perhaps less than us because of the fact that he has his own Tumblr account!!!

We've actually got two followers already thanks to them knowing exactly what we're up to- thank you @imaclotpole121 for letting us use your account, and thank you @bluheaven-adw for not getting too annoyed by Jim's... shenanigans. If you guys follow Jim, make sure to follow us too- Toby's especially excited to beat Jim with his followings, but Jim's already somehow managed to grapple 60 followers in one entire month- which surprised all of us, actually- we didn't think he'd be so popular [or Toby keeps saying. The rest of us are proud of him for getting over his anxiety and making new friends :). So is Toby, but you guys know he can get a bit competitive.]

So I suggest you take a seat, and get ready for the most random of posts from your favourite group of Trollhunters, wizards, Creepslayerz, fashionistas, moles, scammers, and time travellers (but for the last four there are one of each. Just saying). And maybe there will be a bunch of trolls and changelings butting in every now and then, but Jim is adamant they don't mess things up- or f*** things up, as he likes to so eloquently put. I would swear without the asterisks, but my mom made Strickler promise that if we're meant to be doing this, she doesn't want me to write swear words 🤦‍♀️

She doesn't know what we're going to be talking about though- she doesn't know the truth about anything. And I wouldn't want her to anyway.

☪︎︎ just imagine the same situation going on with sanji but with a language such as italian. most likely he's learning another to impress you since you're oso interested in different languages and is pretty thrilled with the idea of him speaking french. although learning another language isn't easy, anyone could've told him that, but it is a bit frustrating while speaking or pronouncing everything with a french lilt.

☪︎︎ shortening his vowels naturally, adding more stress to the last syllable, silencing any h words, you name it. still, it was worth the praise coming from you, seeing as each time he presents to you a new word, you cheer him on and let him know that the french accent he possesses makes it more interesting. intense emphasis on the word interesting, resulting in him becoming a blushing, stuttering, and an absolute thanking mess.

☪︎︎ as he got the hang of it, he'd use it more daily, whether it was reviewing former words, impressing others, or referring to simple objects in that specific language. he even saw it as an advantageous situation to tease you a bit since of course, you adored the way the man sounded regardless.

"ah, here. please, let me get that for you, angioletto," with a deceptive smile contrasting his devious actions, which was brushing away leftover sauce on the corner of your mouth with a napkin, an obvious reason just to also gradually brush against your plumped, fairly glossed lips, he leaned in closer to "examine" the minor mess you've created while eating. surely it was nothing a small lick could've saved, but this was also a chance to take your beauty into account personally while somewhat flustering you during the process at the sudden act of courtesy and italian to adorn.

☪︎︎ regardless, this is still you we're speaking of, so there's absolutely no way you've condoned this behavior without any mental strain or compensation. if he wants to tease, you will find a way to hit him twice as hard. so, instead of allowing his actions to proceed, you gave him a generous "grazie, signore" with a slight grin slowly appearing on your face. needless to say, he had no idea you were familiar with the language, but what he did know is that he had five seconds to find his handkerchief before he suffered from another unwanted nose blee-oh dear, seems to be too late ...

☪︎︎ frankly, zoro wouldn't be interested in learning another language seeing as it wouldn't be beneficial for him personally. he's already bilingual as it is, knowing fluent japanese and all, so there's no point in learning another. so, the only reason why he's taking it, as assumed, out of pure malice. not only sanji rubbed it in that he now has the upper hand claiming that there's another thing he surpasses him in out of million, but you also egged it on simply because you know zoro will be motivated spiteful enough to learn another language as well. you have such a way with words, really ...

☪︎︎ zoro's not interested enough to learn another language that's nowhere near as similar to japanese, therefore he took the time to learn korean. it's like a spanish speaker moving on to french or italian seeing as there's some similarities involved. similar to sanji, his pronunciations are inaccurate due to his accent. the main thing that kept him going is that the korean alphabet is shorter than the japanese, for the reason that it only consists of 14 consonants and 10 vowels. it was a piece a cake. besides, who would zoro be if he were to turn down a little challenge, let alone admitting that it was too hard for him?

☪︎︎ he'd definitely wasn't wooing you with words at first since you indeed prayed on his downfall so he insulted you in the language just to prove that he's capable. full on sentences as you were pouring yourself a midnight drink with a snack to embellish tuning out the swordsman's arrogance that refused to stop pouring from his stupid mouth. it's a bit amusing at the end of the day, considering that he was the one that went this far just to prove a point. then you would just call him tractable or predictable because of his behavior.

"neoneun gachang jeongerokui saramiya.” sarcastically and annoyingly, you quickly interrupted his antics before his behavior actually took a toll on your patience. really, it's hard to inure someone as conceited as him, but you love humbling people so that's why the two of you work so terrible well together. he was… oddly smug-looking at your words, finally satisfied with his listening prowess and your bombastic side eye. he even folded his herculean arms over his pillowy chest, unintentionally squishing them against them causing them to perk up a bit. he seemed to understand more than you thought…

“awh, how sweet of you. thanks for—”

“saranghaeyo dangsin.” you cut him off arrogantly, both seeing if he could understand and wanting his reaction, which was priceless. his brows were now furrowed with an incredulous, let alone judgmental stare. he was going to respond, but you, once again, interrupted him while walking up to him with a puckish titter. “geu saranghae haeseoga bichi-”

☪︎︎ then he would stop you before you go on a sudden rant, palming your face with his robust hand before pushing you away with a peeved groan and flushed look. it was a miracle that he actually took his time to comprehend so much, which you also plan on taunting him about later. right after he gets his big ass hand from off your face…

“jeez, the hell’s gotten into you? gotten all soft on me like that lovesick (sanji) dumbass…”

Consigli per sostenere un colloquio per posizioni da project manager? Soprattutto per quanto riguarda la parte motivazionale e partendo da nessuna esperienza nel settore?

Non ti saprei rispondere, cioè in queste cose io sono una pippa, o meglio mi viene naturale quindi non saprei spiegare come affrontare un colloquio.

Guarda la mia collega ha fatto colloqui per due nuovi account (project manager chiamali come vuoi). Lei gli ha chiesto delle loro esperienze lavorative e non e dei propri hobby. Ha immediatamente scartato persone timide, persone insicure, persone che rispondono a monosillabi, perché per fare questo lavoro hai a che fare con i clienti e con gli altri reparti. Quindi ci vuole sicurezza, essere estroversi e un po’ paraculi.

Il mio capo mi ha detto che il motivo per cui gli piaccio è perché ci so fare con la gente, perché parlo, coinvolgo, ho quell’intelligenza emotiva che mi permette di capire l’altra persona, oltre alla giusta dose di paraculaggine e stronzaggine (parole sue).

Quindi boh se ti dicono qual è il tuo hobby preferito, non dire che ne so “io leggo” ma intortali “nel mio tempo libero mi piace molto dedicarmi alla lettura, infatti cerco di rimanere costantemente aggiornato sull’editoria e sui premi letterari” cagate del genere.

I’ve engaged with my customers, asked how their experience had been, and asked for feedback

Today I’ve sent an email to all the people who bought LaunchFast.

I’ve asked for their feedback and haven’t received any replies yet, but I want to make them feel supported and that I’m here to help if they get into trouble or find any problems with the product.

Added upvotes to the roadmap

I’ve improved the current roadmap so customers can vote on their preferred features.

Non-customers can still see the roadmap, but cannot upvote.

The downside is that users need an account on 𝕏, but I’ll try it like this for now and see how it goes.

Spoke to Jan Sulaiman, Global Director at 1NCE about database performance needs

I’ve spoken to Jan Sulaiman, Global Director at 1NCE, an IoT company, about their database performance needs. According to Jan, hitting the 500k writes/sec performance limitation of SQLite would “require hundreds of millions of devices.”

According to Jan (slightly edited for brevity): "[As] a very rough estimation, right now, we have around 5 Mio active devices. Our customers send, on average, one message per 15 minutes.

So that means we average 5556 messages/second.

This would also align with our overall Downlink/Uplink capacity. For our European Breakout, for example, we are currently averaging around 40 Mb/s downlink and 75 Mb/s uplink traffic. And that Breakout is handling around 2,2 Mio active devices.

Since you ask about write operations, we only need to look at the 75 Mb/s. Here I assume an average of 2 KB per message that needs to be written. If I use the bandwith, I also get roughly 4578 write operations per second.

So, it's pretty close to the first calculation.

Long story short - while we probably have quite a high number of operations we need to handle and millions of active devices - we still would never get to 500k+ transactions per second 😁"

This ties into first-principles thinking and my explanation for choosing SQLite over any other database (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc), even if hosted on the same machine - SQLite is a zero-configuration, zero-latency database, and it’s just a file, making it dead simple to manage. Other databases require you to manage a server, connections, and authentication (offering another attack surface for hackers), and you won’t benefit from their higher performance anyway.

Hosted databases like Firebase and Supabase solve this problem by managing the database for you, but you pay an even higher cost: your performance is now subjected and limited to the network’s bandwidth and latency.

In the best-case scenario, you add a 10 to 30ms overhead to every single query you make (this should be enough not to use them), and in the worst-case scenario, the database is being DDoS’d and you can’t connect to it, making your app dysfunctional.

But I digress…

So what’s the opportunity here?

Lisboa innovation for all (https://lisboainnovationforall.com) is a social innovation prize from the Lisbon City Council, organized by the Unicorn Factory Lisboa and supported by the European Innovation Council, which aims to discover and support innovative and impactful solutions that can be applied practically in the city of Lisbon.

They’re offering 360.000€ for projects on education, healthcare, and migration, and now that LaunchFast has been released, it would be a perfect opportunity to show, in public, what a developer is capable of with a powerful tool like LaunchFast.

Current Metrics

LaunchFast will launch on @MicroLaunchHQ on the 1st of September: https://microlaunch.net/p/launchfastpro

MicroLaunch is a relatively new platform created by Said, and I’ve found a few errors, but I look forward to seeing how LaunchFast does on microlaunch and how much traffic it will bring.

At the moment, LaunchFast is hovering at around 40 users per day.

none of this, though, accounts for the few times he manages to surprise it still.

" it suspects the smug lilt to its voice would be of no surprise, but his expression is so unwavering ... he looks at it so sternly! and that's rather attractive, it notes, eyes squinting in softer regard as it sits itself back on their bed, ankles crossed. this is hardly the first time it's made a show out of undressing itself—or him, oft was it that it was given lead. there's artistry, true, but it also just finds the matter fun. if done right, especially with someone so easily worked up, it wouldn't have to lay a hand on anyone other than itself to have his features flushed the most beautiful shade of red. and it's quite deft, when it finally bites its tongue and allows its lips to curl instead to a coquettish, closed-lip smile as it draws its hand 'cross its front. slowly down, over the thin fabric of its clothing, then slowly up, pulling the fabric loose from beneath its belt in the process until its fingers catch buttons again, and one by one, they fall undone, granting him further flashes of skin when it pushes the fabric aside with its palm.

both its shirt and jacket now hang loose from its shoulders : all it really needs to do is shrug, but that's too simple—not as intimate ... and intimacy is what it strives for, after all. it's the smallest flair, breaking its steeled gaze to duck its head down, hair falling 'cross its face so it can make a show out of peering out from behind its bangs, the fang caught on its lip made a touch more seductive then when it finally shrugs both blouse and coat from its shoulders, and promptly discarded.

its belt is next, as it lies back fully with a quieted sigh, chest rising and falling at a steady pace with its false-breaths. it doesn't take long to undo the clasp, pull it free from where its kept snug against its waist and discard it too—and it takes even less to free itself from its pants, too, dropped into the pile with the rest when it raises its hips with what little space it needs to. but it stops with its underclothes, taking the moment to sit up and properly catch his wandering eye again, head lolled 'gainst its shoulder the more its smile starts to widen.

" come impress me, caro mio ... " it purrs, resting its weight 'gainst one arm propped against the bed where its other hand wanders, drawing its fingertips over both the growing bulge 'tween its thighs, and further below, fang sinking into its lip as it pushes its fingers a little further—the damp fabric pressing up 'gainst its slit for all too brief a moment before its hand draws over itself again, hooking its fingers 'neath the waistband before, just like the rest, it raises its hips and adds the clothing to the building pile at the end of the bed. its quite comfortable in its nudity, truth be told, hardly batting an eye 'gainst how it keeps its thighs spread wide in open invitation.

Nasce così la “Home of Masters“, la Club House A Modo Mio dedicata alla Mastership Lavazza nella preparazione dell’espresso presso il Fan Village, adiacente al Pala Alpitour, nella quale attraverso un percorso di approfondimento e intrattenimento, sono svelati i segreti per gustare un espresso perfetto a casa come al bar grazie al sistema Lavazza A Modo Mio e alla Barista Technology.

I Masters dell’espresso italiano

I partecipanti sono stati sfidati a diventare “Masters dell’espresso italiano” risolvendo divertenti enigmi a tema. Ispirandosi alle Escape Room, sono stati creati vari rompicapi a tempo, con indizi nascosti nella Home of Masters. Lo staff, “originale ed eclettico”, in perfetto stile Club House, fornisce il supporto necessario per scoprire le regole della Barista Technology ed entrare a far parte della Wall of Fame dell’Espresso Italiano.

Nel Piazzale Grande Torino, adiacente al Fan Village, svetta la Maxi Tazzina Lavazza alta oltre 3 metri. Qui, all’interno di un’installazione ispirata all’iconica tazzina Lavazza, è stata creata una photo opportunity unica. I partecipanti possono scattarsi una gif animata, stampata e apposta successivamente nella Wall of Fame.

Louder ha creato una straordinaria brand experience, trasformando le Nitto ATP Finals nella casa dell’espresso italiano, accogliendo appassionati di tennis, curiosi e amanti del caffè.

Summary: Terzo can’t bottle up his insecurities anymore and it all spills out when Omega confronts him

Omega cursed under his breath at the sound of the broken note and shook his head trying to focus on the song. All week he had been distracted with this feeling of dread worming its way into his brain. He had been managing so far, but being there in the practice room rehearsing for the upcoming shows, the feeling was too strong to ignore. He had an idea as to what was causing it but he couldn’t bring himself to address it. That is until the problem spoke up.

“Everyone stop. Stop. Omega what’s gotten into you? This is the worst I’ve ever heard you play.” Terzo turned to him waiting for an answer, it was clear the man was annoyed even with the extravagant face paints. The other ghouls' heads snapped in Omega’s direction, interested to hear his response. It was no secret that Papa and the quintessence ghoul were close, but recently it seemed Terzo had grown distant. Anyone could feel the tension between the two and the ghouls were almost excited at the idea of being able to witness Omega explode on his beloved Papa.

To their disappointment Omega just sighed deeply, put down his guitar and without breaking eye contact with Terzo said “Everyone out. Now. I need to have a word with our Papa in private.” His tone was calm but stern leaving no room for an argument.

Terzo scoffed “You do not give the orders around here Omega. I am Papa and we will end rehearsal when I say” it was rare to see Terzo like this. He was usually so confident and flirtatious. This was the dread that was eating Omega alive all week. He could feel the anger dripping off his lover and it only got worse with each day.

He held Terzo’s gaze with unreadable eyes. The two were locked in a battle to see who would cave first. The other ghouls waited in anticipation, excited by the drama of it all. Eventually Terzo relented and with a dry laugh said “Alright fine, you all may leave. I’m intrigued to see what our dear Omega has to say that just cannot wait” his tone was completely different. Lighter. It was clear he was forcing the smile that pulled at his lips as he stared at the quintessence ghoul. The others were disappointed at being sent off, but didn’t dare to protest. Not out of fear of their Papa, but out of what Omega might do.

Once the others had gone there was a long and drawn out silence before Terzo spoke up “I know what this is about amore mio” he walked towards Omega who hadn’t moved an inch since putting down his guitar. For a moment the ghoul was hopeful. Maybe his Papa was going to be open with him without a fight? That hope quickly died when Terzo continued speaking “we’ve been busy all week and you just couldn’t wait for rehearsal to be over so you could get your hands on me, eh?” Omega sighed deeply and reached up to remove his show mask. Terzo stood there close to him watching the ghoul move. A genuine smile started to appear on his face as he looked upon his lover. That smile faltered when he saw the look on Omega’s face. He knew that expression all too well, it was the one he used whenever he had too much on his mind for his words to convey.

“We haven’t been busy all week, Terzo. You’ve been finding new tasks to do to avoid me” the ghouls tone was soft, careful. He had to be when it came to his Papa. He loved that man more than he loved anyone else and he would do anything for him, but he was fragile when he was like this. Omega was always able to tell when Terzo was struggling on account of his quintessence. It allowed him to sense another’s emotion when they’re near him. It’s why Terzo developed a habit of distancing himself from the ghoul when he had moments like these, much to Omega’s annoyance. All he wanted to do was be there for him, help him in any way he could, but it was always a fight with him. It’s not that he didn’t care for the ghoul, quite the contrary, it seemed like Omega was the only one he cared for some days, but the man was too stubborn to admit when he needed help. This is why Omega had to be careful. If he said the wrong thing or used the wrong tone of voice his Papa would shut down and become defensive which would only worsen whatever had caused his mood.

Terzo wrapped an arm around the ghoul’s waist pulling him closer “I’m here now, sì? I let everyone leave like you asked. Why don’t we make up for lost time then?” Terzo leaned in and started to plant kisses along Omega’s jaw and neck. The ghoul cleared his throat after feeling a blush creep on his face and used a clawed hand to turn Terzo’s head up to look at him. He looked at him softly before letting out a sigh

“you’re deflecting, amati.” He paused choosing his next words carefully “I meant it when I said I wanted to have a word with you”

Terzo hesitated before planting a chaste kiss on the ghouls lips “then I am all ears”

Omega took a deep breath to ground himself. The wave of emotions coming off of Terzo were strong. It was a mix of anger and fear with only a twinge of affection. It was making his head spin.

“Amore mio, has something been bothering you?” He asked silently begging that this time Terzo would relent and be honest with him

Terzo laughed “Of course nothing is bothering me. I am Papa Emeritus III. Nothing should bother me!”

Should. There it was. Omega never knew if he was aware of it or not, but his Papa always would say something to clue him in; like he was begging for someone to interrogate him so he could spill his guarded heart. Omega would always pull on the thread if it meant Terzo would open up.

“Just because you’re Papa doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to feel amore. Please tell me what’s troubling you” the second the words left his mouth he regretted it. The emotions radiating off of Terzo only strengthened making Omega feel physically ill at the intensity, but he swallowed it. This was the worst he had even seen Terzo. Whatever was bothering him was clearly something major. This only made the ghoul’s worry grow.

Terzo released Omega from the embrace and gestured with his hands as he spoke “As I said amore nothing is troubling me! I am the most powerful man in the Ministry, there is no reason for me to be troubled.” Terzo knew Omega could tell he was lying, but he could never tell his lover the truth. He was terrified at what the ghoul might think of him if he ever told him the things that run through his head. He hated himself for it. He knew what he was doing was unfair to Omega and he always felt guilty for it, but it was too hard for him to cry for help. He wished he could just tell his love everything about how weak he felt, about how much he hated looking at himself in the mirror, about how he’ll never be what his brothers were. He wished he could tell Omega everything. But he couldn’t. It was too painful because if he said the words out loud to another living being then they would be real. He’d have to face them instead of bottling them up and hiding them away in the deepest parts of his mind. He fed into his own insecurities this way convincing himself that if anyone understood just how vulnerable he truly was that he’d be cast out. Papa Emeritus had no room to be weak. And if he couldn’t be the one thing he was born to do then what purpose did he serve?

So he played this game with Omega. He would deflect and play everything off as ‘stress from work’ and Omega would allow him to. This is, until it started to get worse. For the last few months Terzo had been slowly getting swallowed by his own pit of despair. He couldn’t play it off anymore and the look of concern that came with his lover every time they were close crushed his heart. That’s why he started to distance himself. If he was going to burn he was not going to bring his starlight with him. Omega was persistent though, he refused to let his Papa drown in his own misery. He would lock them in the practice room if that meant Terzo would finally open up to him.

“Terzo…” Omega spoke his name softly, gazing at him with nothing but pure love and worry. The sound snapped him out of his thoughts and he slowly unfurrowed his brow. He hadn’t even realized he’d been scowling. He cut off the ghoul

“Well since I have told you there is nothing to worry about we should go now, sì? We do not want to miss dinner” he turned to leave, not bothering to wait for a response. He knew Omega would let him leave. The ghoul would never pry if someone didn’t want to speak, or at least that’s what Terzo thought until he felt a clawed hand grab his wrist. He immediately stopped in his tracks, but he still refused to face his lover. He didn’t want to see his pained expression. He knew of the quintessence powers and he knew now that omega was touching him he could truly feel everything.

“I’m not letting you leave…not this time. Not until you tell me what’s wrong. Please, I’m worried Terzo”

“I don’t know what you are worried about. Truly I’m fine.” He knew he wasn’t fooling Omega, even he could hear the crack in his own voice. He mentally cursed himself for letting his mask slip. He couldn't hide it anymore, not from Omega. He felt tears starting to slip from his eyes.

“Terzo I-“ Omega stopped and gasped softly when the man turned to look at him. His paint was smudged running down his face mixed with tears. It was a rarity to see Terzo actually cry. Omega went to say something and Terzo snapped

“Are you happy amore? Is this what you wanted to see! To see how weak I am? To see how a little pressure makes me break!” He knew he shouldn’t be so harsh. Omega had done nothing but love him endlessly, but he couldn’t stop the words that flew from his mouth. He felt small seeing the way Omega was looking at him with pain and shock.

He took a shaky breath “I’m a worthless Papa, Omega. I’m not strong like Secondo. I’m not calm like Primo. I have nothing. I’m only here because of my last name.” He couldn’t look Omega in the eyes as he spoke. He was afraid to see what lay there. Silence hung in the air for a moment before he felt himself be pulled into the ghoul’s embrace

“You are not worthless tersoro. You are a gift to this world simply because you exist. You do not have to be your brothers. You just have to be you. That is enough.” Omega held him close while he spoke. Maybe if he did his Papa would be able to feel just how much he meant to the ghoul. He just wanted to take all his pain away, to shield his heart from the thoughts that plagued his mind.

Terzo didn’t say anything for a long time. He didn’t move. He was tense. He was still afraid to look at Omega to see the pain he caused. The ghoul just stood there holding him in his arms giving him time to settle. He pressed his lips to Terzo’s head and whispered sweet nothings while swaying them. Finally Terzo spoke his voice quiet and cracked from the lump in his throat

“You are too good for me mia luce stellare. I don’t deserve this.”

“Of course you deserve this. Everyone deserves kindness. Everyone deserves someone to love them, especially when they are struggling.”

“I am a horrible man who’s only pushed you away. I don't deserve your kindness. I don’t deserve your love. I am not worth it.���

Deep down he didn’t believe the words he was saying. Some part of him knew he was wrong, but he couldn’t care. He wanted to be consumed by his own suffering at the moment. He didn’t want to feel anything else. Was it even possible for him to feel anything else?

Omega pulled away from the embrace just enough to be able to look at Terzo. His heart broke seeing his lover like this. He knew Terzo had been struggling lately and yet he waited. He waited to confront him and now his Papa had cracked. He felt guilty for it, but he didn’t say anything. He wanted to give all his attention to Terzo at this moment. He was being the most vulnerable Omega had ever seen and he wanted to do nothing more than to let him know he was safe and cared for.

“Do not say that amore mio. You are the only person I want to give my love to. Not because you are Papa, but because you are Terzo. I won’t deny it though, it hurts having you push me away. I’ve missed you tersoro, let me help you…please”

Terzo doesn’t say anything as he stares up at Omega. He doesn’t have the strength to. He slowly nods his head before burying his face in the ghouls chest to hide his face not caring about his ruined paints. Omega says nothing as he gently leads Terzo to the small bathroom in the practice room. He turns on the sink and lets the water warm up before grabbing a washcloth

“May I?” He asks Terzo tenderly. When the man nods, Omega carefully wets the towel and slowly washes the paint away. He’s gentle with his motions helping to soothe the man and calm him down.

When all of the paint is removed Omega can’t help but smile lovingly at his Papa. He was hardly ever seen without his paints on, but Omega loved to look at the real him. The ghoul dried his face off and leaned down to kiss him

“I miss seeing your face you know” this earned a chuckle from his Papa that made his heart swell. Without the paints Terzo looked older, the dark circles under his eyes no longer hidden by the black makeup. Omega ran his hands through Terzo’s hair, being sure to scratch at his scalp with his claws. Terzo let out a deep sigh and melted into the touch, tears welling in his eyes again.

Omega then helped Terzo stand and led him back to his papal chambers making sure to take the long way so as to not run into anyone who may question them. Once there, Omega pulled him close again and laid down onto the mattress. He wrapped his tail around Terzo’s leg and felt a soft purr kick up in his chest as he felt his lover relax in his embrace.

“I love you Terzo. Don’t ever believe otherwise.” He said giving him a kiss on the back of his head

“I love you too luce stellare.” As Terzo drifted off to sleep he thought about spilling his guts to Omega. Finally telling him everything that ran through his head, but he held off. He would save that for tomorrow, for now he just wanted to be there in the ghouls arms feeling his love in every way.
