[ Dyrroth ]
The most clueless one, legit thought something happened to him. Dyrroth can and will shamelessly stare at you from across the room. He needs to solve...why you are so attractive to him in the first place.
Refuses to get help from others, they'll tease him at the end of the day anyway. Especially Selena, that witch girl is just no-no. If you're someone that takes part in the matches, prepare to be his first of last target. You make him pretty light headed and the Abyss Prince doesn't like that. Dyrroth gets pretty snappy when he's light headed, no, not to you, he doesn't have the face to talk to you, but his teammates aren't safe from his curses.
The Abyss Prince loves to think about you, his favourite thing to pass time. Beneath him or pinned to wall, eyes wide...
If you're female
Dyrroth will take his precious time to bite into your gorgeous skin after he caught you in the enemy's jungle. He'll pin both of your hands, the more you struggle and let out cute noises the more excited he gets.
" Heh, stop struggling now. Do you see what you're causing? " Dyrroth says while pointing his bulge.
If you're male
Dyrroth specially gets more arousal if you're stronger than him by any chance. His bulge throbs painfully as he watches you fight. The little hearts in his eyes tells everything. His dick stands proud and ready to hump into you or you into him quickly. He doesn't care who's top or who's bottom all he can think about is sweet sweet relief.
" All alone.. all mine. I won't let you get away this time. Obey me and come here~ "
Tumblr media
[ Badang ]
Badang would try to be charming while being a complete shy. Ironic. He would be more bold with males tho. He'd try to charm you in his own ways, Badang is a show-off like Lapu-Lapu. If he's got a crush on you, he's got it bad. He'd try to impress you w/ his skills, good job ignoring him.
Badang would enjoy you being on the enemy team more than being his teammate, don't mind him.. that will definitely lead to some interesting ' encounters ' he won't miss the opportunity to battle against you. Being defeated by you makes him feel some things...
Badang is really into make-out and you're so tempting. Badang would be more rough with a male partner while being more gentle with a female partner.
If you're female
Badang is touchy, expect him to be handsy. He'd grab you by arms and hold you in place, you move around too much and your sounds... someone can hear you y'know? The risk of getting seen turns him on.
" Shh... they're coming this way. " Badang says as he pulls you flush against his bare chest.
If you're male
He cannot avoid his bulging dick in his pants. Badang would probably be a little less horny to a male partner, however don't let this get you. Do you even know how much of a turn-on you are to him?
" H-ah! A-alright stop now! T-thats e-enough. "
Tumblr media
[ X.Borg ]
X.Borg is a tricky one, he can be playful and is bit messy on the head. He wants someone who can keep up with his craziness, his..weird ideas to have fun. There's %50 chances that you two can be ally's or enemy's, who knows.
X.Borg isn't someone to let his guard down real quick. He will test you first, to see if you're the perfect one to him. However, he'll act a bit more warm to you. If you take part in matches, X.Borg would teasingly flick your head, not too rough not too soft, everytime you die in some stupid way. His way of telling you to not care about that, but of course as long as you don't bring the team down with you.
X.Borg is dirty minded, keep that in mind. He'll imagine all kinds of scenario(s) with you. You beneath him or on top of him, doesn't matter he's got the imagination going on.
If you're female
You'll be shorter than him and that's a plus. He can easily manhandle you, which means, lift you on a counter by your thighs and make out with you.
" Heh., not so confident now huh? " X.Borg says as he dives into your neck, letting out sloppy sounds.
If you're male
X.Borg would definitely want to be a top, but wouldn't be much against being a bottom. Of course, he won't go down without a fight. He's both biter and sucker, he'll try to leave as much as mark he can leave on your body. X.Borg is definitely a freak in bed.
" Giving up so soon? Come on (Name)! Entertain me more! "

"From Childhood Dreams to Adult Realities: A Life Story of Courage and Connection"
My life began when I was born in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, on August 22, 2005. When I was 6 years old, my parents tried to enroll me in daycare, but the teacher hesitated to accept me because of my age. Consequently, my parents decided to enroll me directly in grade 1. On my first day of school, the teacher assigned an activity—drawing an elephant—but I didn't know how to draw, so I cried the whole time and wanted to go outside. That's when my parents decided to transfer me to kindergarten.

During my kindergarten days, I was very happy because I had many friends, and I consistently ranked at the top of my class. As a child, I never felt the love of a grandfather because both of my grandfathers passed away early. However, I was spoiled with the love of my grandmother, who always protected me whenever someone tried to hurt me. She was my number one supporter during my childhood. When I graduated from kindergarten, she attended my graduation, and I was happy about that. She always spoiled me with things and food, and she would give me money that my parents never knew about.

During my Grade 1 journey, I experienced a challenging period when I developed a urinary tract infection (UTI). This health issue forced me to miss numerous days of school as I required regular medical check-ups and treatments at the hospital. Consequently, I found myself consistently falling behind in my studies, struggling to keep pace with my classmates. Despite the setbacks caused by my illness, I remained determined to overcome these obstacles. Once I had sufficiently recovered, I diligently focused on catching up with the material I had missed. I dedicated extra time to studying and sought help from my teachers to ensure I grasped the concepts I had previously struggled with. Although it was a challenging time, I refused to let my illness define my academic journey. With perseverance and hard work, I successfully navigated through this difficult period and emerged stronger and more resilient than before.

In my Grade 2 journey, I had the pleasure of meeting a friend who would become my closest companion throughout elementary school. We shared countless lunches together, forming a bond that provided me with much-needed support. This friendship marked a significant milestone for me as it was the first time I had someone by my side to help me through the challenges of school. However, as I entered Grade 3, my parents decided to enroll me in a ukulele class in hopes of nurturing my musical talents. Initially excited about the opportunity, I soon found myself feeling isolated and disconnected from my peers in the class. Despite my efforts to engage with others, the feeling of loneliness persisted, leading me to eventually withdraw from the class after just one month. Following this setback, my teacher transferred me to a different class, hoping for a better fit. Yet, upon entering the new environment, I was overwhelmed by the competitive atmosphere and struggled to find my place. Unable to muster the confidence to fully integrate into this unfamiliar setting, I made the difficult decision to return to my original class where I felt more comfortable. Throughout these experiences, I remained dedicated to my studies and consistently excelled academically, earning recognition as a top-performing student in my class. While I may not have attained the title of honor student, I took pride in being recognized as an achiever, knowing that my efforts had not gone unnoticed.

During my fourth-grade year, I summoned the courage to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new opportunities by enrolling in the FL class. This decision was driven by a desire to conquer my fears and expand my horizons. As I entered this class, I encountered a diverse group of peers and forged meaningful connections with some of them. However, the transition to the FL class was not without its challenges. I found myself grappling with unfamiliar academic concepts and adjusting to the heightened expectations of the curriculum. Additionally, the competitive nature of the class environment posed its own set of obstacles, pushing me to work harder than ever before to keep up with my classmates. Despite the difficulties I faced, I remained determined to persevere. With the support of my newfound friends and the guidance of my teachers, I gradually acclimated to the rigors of the FL class. Each day presented a new opportunity for growth and learning, and I embraced these challenges wholeheartedly. Through my experiences in the FL class, I not only expanded my academic abilities but also developed invaluable life skills such as resilience, adaptability, and perseverance. By confronting my fears head-on, I emerged from fourth grade with a newfound sense of confidence and self-assurance, ready to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.

During my fifth and sixth-grade years, I began to develop a crush, which motivated me to attend school regularly. I also became a class officer during this time, which assigned me various tasks to complete. I felt disappointed because my grades were not high enough to earn me the title of honor student. I felt like all my hard work in studying wasn't sufficient to achieve that recognition. However, I participated in a cooking competition during this period, and fortunately, I emerged as the champion. This achievement earned me the opportunity to represent my school and secure a second-place finish at the district level. This experience taught me to accept whatever results come my way and to use them as inspiration to improve in the future.

During high school, I faced tough times. I felt like giving up, but I found help in unexpected places. I made a good friend who I could talk to about anything. We helped each other through hard times and supported each other. Also, I had a teacher who really cared about me. She encouraged me to do well in school and helped me believe in myself. With her support, I did better in my classes and learned to keep going even when things were tough. High school also brought my first experience with love, which made me excited to go to school every day. But it wasn't all easy. I had some bad experiences that taught me how to be strong and keep moving forward. Despite the challenges, I started thinking about my future. I started small businesses to earn money and worked hard to achieve my dreams. High school taught me a lot, and now I feel ready to face whatever comes next with confidence. High school taught me many useful things that will help me in the future. I learned how to keep going even when things are tough, how to work well with others, and how to understand people's feelings. These lessons will help me as I go forward in life. I'm thankful for everything I learned in high school, and I know it will make a difference in my future.

In my adulthood, I grew up with a constant fear of rejection looming over me like a dark cloud. As I stepped into adulthood, this fear only seemed to intensify. It became a heavy burden that I carried with me, shaping my decisions and actions in profound ways. One of the most challenging aspects of this fear was my inability to open up to my parents about my problems. Every time I faced a challenge or felt overwhelmed, I found myself retreating further into myself. I was afraid that if I shared my struggles with my parents, they would judge me or reject me. So, I kept everything bottled up inside, plastering on a smile and pretending that everything was okay, even when it wasn't. As the years passed, this fear of rejection began to seep into every aspect of my life. I avoided taking risks or pursuing my passions because I was scared of failing or being criticized. I struggled to form meaningful connections with others because I was afraid of getting hurt or rejected. But despite my fears, deep down, I longed for understanding and support from my parents. The thought of opening up to them and being vulnerable terrified me, but I couldn't shake the desire for their love and acceptance. It wasn't until I hit a breaking point that I realized keeping everything inside was only making things worse. I began to slowly open up to my parents, tentatively sharing bits and pieces of my fears and struggles. To my surprise, they listened with open hearts and offered me the love and support I so desperately needed. With each conversation, I felt a weight lifting off my shoulders. I learned that being honest about my feelings wasn't a sign of weakness, but rather a testament to my strength and resilience. Opening up to my parents allowed me to build stronger connections with them and find the support I needed to overcome my fear of rejection. Though the journey wasn't easy, it ultimately led me to a place of greater self-acceptance and courage. I realized that by facing my fears and being vulnerable, I could forge deeper connections with others and live a more authentic and fulfilling life.

As I write my life story, I am realizing that I am far along in my life. It's a moment of introspection, where I reflect on the journey I've traveled so far. The memories flood back, each chapter a testament to the experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. There have been highs and lows, moments of triumph and moments of despair, but through it all, I've persevered. Looking back, I see how far I've come from the person I once was, how much I've grown and learned along the way. From the innocence of childhood to the uncertainties of adolescence and the challenges of adulthood, each phase has added layers to my story. Yet, as I turn the pages of my past, I am struck by the people who have walked alongside me. Family, friends, mentors—they've all played a part in my narrative, offering support, guidance, and love. Their influence has been profound, shaping not only my experiences but also my values and beliefs. I am reminded of the importance of connection and community, of the power of relationships to enrich our lives and deepen our understanding of ourselves. And as I write, I am also mindful of the dreams and aspirations that have fueled my journey. The goals I've set, the obstacles I've overcome, and the victories I've celebrated—they all speak to my inherent desire for growth and fulfillment. Each milestone reached is a reminder of my capacity for resilience and determination, a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of adversity. But even as I acknowledge how far I've come, I am humbled by the realization that the story is far from finished. There are still chapters waiting to be written, adventures waiting to be explored, and dreams waiting to be realized. And so, as I continue to write, I do so with a sense of anticipation, eager to see where the next chapter will take me, and grateful for the opportunity to shape my own narrative.

Jaune incoming surprise visit and hug from your mom and dad brace yourself for lectures and spine shattering bear hugs!
"Hey Jaune!"
Jaune's head swiveled to the left, hearing both of his sisters, Indy and Lapus, who were staying at Beacon for a while. *No one ever asked anything about them!*
"What's uuuupppp!"
The pitch in his voice sky rocketed as he was suddenly pulled from his seat and sort of lifted? He wasn't pulled too high from the ground as the onee who grabbed him, not only was able to manhandle him, but she was also far shorter than he!
"Ah! There is my dearest son. You're looking healthier than the day you departed from us!"
"Ma...Ma!?"
Everyone who had been there, Team RWSY, and the rest of his team, all stared wide eyed! Shocked at the woman before them... well except May, May recognized her, because as far as she could tell the woman had hardly changed. She still held herself with a gate of strength, and though she appeared young, she could see the subtle signs of aging. Yet, she was still as beautiful as the day that May had met her.
Pyrrha, however, was not quite as calm as May, and despite the excitement from the rest of the group. She was worried that she would not hit it off with her future mother in law!
"So then."
Jaune found himself released, though his mother quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him. Causing him to spin out of control till he protectively landed in the arms of what the crowd could only describe as a giant of a man! Everyone looked up, at an individual that dwarfed even Rua.
Muscles and a bit of girth on his belly, the elder Trevor Arc, smiled with a splendent gaze as he pulled his son into a crippling bear hug.
"Ah! Jaune! It's so good to see you well! I'm so excited to see you healthy and going!"
It was apparent to all, that the parents loved their son dearly. After all, why wouldn't they? Especially seeing him in far better condition than he'd been before.
Though... any excitement stopped as Theodora, or just Theo, turned her attention to the crowd.
She said nothing, instead examining each girl before her, including Ren!
Till she stopped upon both Pyrrha and May.
"Well then..." She didn't say much more, till she took a step forward.
Even, or perhaps because, Pyrrha was so experienced, the young champion couldn't help but take a minor step back. '
"Greetings girls."
To her surprise, any form of animosity she may have expected was... missing?
Instead she was greeted with a warm smile, as both her and May gave one another worried glances.
"Thank you." The mother of their lover bowed before them, "For looking after, and making my son very happy... and..." The rest of the group were just as shocked as she did the same for them. "Thank you all for being his friends."
Lapus and Indyboth gave one another smiling glances, even Lapus, who was naturally jealous of Pyrrha, seemed to be pleased with the situation.
"We shall be staying here for a while, as we have business. I do hope we'll get the chance to speak properly. For now, we must check into the guest rooms."
Though, before she left, Theo stopped and glanced at May, "And May." The short, plump, voluptuous girl was pulled into a tight, warm hug that was filled with nothing but love and regret. "I'm so glad you're doing alright."
And May... she felt tears form... real warm heartfelt tears...
"Thank you..."
"Of course dear, I'm just glad you found one another again."
Pyrrha... Pyrrha wasn't sure what to say, but then Theo opened her arms and beckoned her forward and... she felt that same warmth May did.
"I'm looking forward to knowing you both... though I wish he'd talked to us first, he's had nothing but good things to say about you both. So again, thank you, from the bottom of my heart."
Pyrrha wasn't sure what she'd expected from Jaune's mother, part o her thought she'd be... more aggressive for her taking away her son... but she couldn't help but lean into the hug her heart blossoming.

Catholicism vs. Culture
Any Filipino knows the importance of faith. Or how important faith is supposed to be. It is the glue of family life, the legacy of our devout Lolas, and the passion project of our mothers. Catholicism seemed to bolster the pillars of Asian family life that already stood so firmly at the center of my elders’ beliefs: tradition, discipline, and superstition. We never missed mass. My siblings and I attended Catholic school, received all our sacraments, and participated in church activities like choir and youth group. The picture of faith was painted for me.
It was also important to my dad that we knew Philippine history. He would give mini lectures about Magellan and the indigenous Filipino soldier who killed him, Lapu-Lapu (who for some reason is super ripped in all of his artistic renderings). I would picture Lapu-Lapu and weigh his image against that of Jesus, and somehow he felt more real than Jesus. Having been (erroneously) inundated with images of white Jesus, it felt deliciously naughty to think of Lapu-Lapu slaying white, Catholic Magellan, the Spaniard who claimed my parents’ homeland against the grief and rage of all of its rightful Filipinos. When hearing the gospel or doing saint reports at school, I wished there were characters as cool (and swole) as Lapu-Lapu. I wondered, Why isn’t he a saint? He did a good thing. He risked his life for others. Isn’t that what we’re supposed to do?
Then I realized Lapu-Lapu couldn’t have been a saint because he wasn’t Christian. And it hit me: no one in my family would be Catholic without Spain. Without colonization. Without exploitation and rape and torture. The practice that is held so dearly in the hearts of my mother and her mother and my father’s mother was borne in an act of theft. How could my parents know our troubled heritage and still impose this filthy faith on us? With all the homeland pride I was taught, how could we perpetuate a tradition that is so reflective of our ancestor’s pain, so rooted in cultural robbery, so…Euro? Did the diaspora…betray me? My faith and my heritage were at odds. I pictured my ancestors looking down on me in my white first communion dress, shaking their heads and eating mango.
Now, as a non-practicing Catholic adult, I understand my parents’ choice to raise me in the church. As immigrants, they chose to implement the part of their culture that grounded them, even if it was a symbol of cultural erasure. The feeling of home - balay in my parents’ native Cebuano - is a kind of faith in itself. We follow that feeling, through people, through customs, and sometimes through religion. Though the church failed to give me this feeling, I see now that, with all its insidious colonial history, Catholicism gave my parents a piece of the home they had to leave. As badly as I wish I could know who my family would be without colonialism, I have to accept that religion - voluntary or otherwise - doesn’t work against my culture. It’s part of it.

I am Kristina and just like other teens these days, I pretty much spend my time with mobile phones and technologies, I used to call social media as my HAPPINESS back then, as it helps me with so many things including my studies and my social life, and ever since I had my first phone on 6th grade, I used to think that not having to use technologies a day would be impossible, not until 1 big disaster happened that had big impact on how I see the real HAPPINESS
One afternoon on December 2021, my dad was watching News while I was on my phone scrolling, I heard as the weather forecaster said that there will be a big typhoon that would landfall in our place, Cebu, and the typhoon was named ODETTE, PAGASA advised us to evacuate on safer place, I got a little shock with what the news have shown, it was a very big typhoon that i could not see the VISAYAS part anymore, but at the time I wasn’t scared, I didn’t take that seriously. I continued scrolling and listened to my parents discussing as they were planning on where to evacuate. My mom decided that we should go to her friends house whose name’s “Ate Nining” she’s very close to us, and she’s the mother of my childhood bestfriend “Jody”, they live in a subdivision in which my mom think is a safe place to shelter since its spacious and concrete.
on December 16, It was a very stormy day, We evacuated at Ate Nining’s house, Mom brought foods and first aid kit, while I only brought my phone and charger. I actually got happy when we evacuated since my bestfriend Jody was there, We never got to spend time at each other because she lives in Manila, but at the time she was on vacation here in Lapu-Lapu. It’s like a sleepover to us, We plan on doing tiktok, watch kdrama’s and upload a vlog on youtube.
As I remember around 6pm that day, rain started to pour heavily, me and Jody were doing tiktok dance, then suddenly the wind blows very loud like it’s whistling together with the rapid rain, everyone got panicked, the glass windows started to break, roofs started to make noise, business posters are everywhere, trees were falling, the electricity got blacked out, and everybody got anxious. It was ODETTE, That situation was very creepy to me, it’s like mother nature just screamed.
Luckily none of us got hurt, the subdivision was indeed safety for evacuating. After the Odette has landed, Morning of December 17, 2021, I could not believe what I saw outside, roofs are on the street, Electrical wires are everywhere, trees got paved, no one could access the street because of the debris, Everyone was still in shock.
Fast forward to we got home, My phone’s battery was dead and I couldn’t charge because electricity was still not there. And everybody’s phone was dead.
from there my life started to get a little hard as I wasn’t used to not use a phone, but little did I know my life started there.
Days after that, I wake up because of the smoke that came from what my dad was cooking, he was using trees and charcoal to cook our foods, since there were no butanes for sale, my brother was asked to go and get water from the well (tabay)to wash the dishes and I volunteered too, It was my first time for a long time to “sag ob” a tubig from the well, I just realized its dun and its like an exercise for my arms,
then we started eating together without distractions because no one was using phones, we were having story telling about the hilarious happenings and experience from the past and we would laugh out loud, my bestfriends and I started to have a very deep conversations, that we don’t use to talk often. My neighbors would have a chitchat everyday. We celebrated Christmas without electricity but it still felt very nice and nostalgic as I think of it.
Odette might have had a bad impact on everyone including me, I still felt healed, feels like there used to be a missing piece in my heart that have just completed, and its the CONNECTION, I just realised that the real HAPPINESS is by having a quality time with love ones having deep talks, enjoying nature, being contented is the real HAPPINESS.

FORGIVE AND FORGET - Chapter 28
Ahote
I gave it a few days before I decided I was ready to talk to Aponi.
Even when I decided on today, I had been hesitant around her all morning.
Making excuses to myself like... 'there are too many people around' and... 'she looks busy.'
In the late afternoon when I decided to go out for some fresh air, I spotted her in the garden picking bell peppers and pulling out weeds.
Before I could walk away, she stood up, wiping her hands on her work apron before looking over at me.
"I'm done," she said in a matter of fact tone.
I licked my lips, looking from the basket of bell peppers to the neat pile of weeds that had formed at the side.
She was alone and my brain couldn't come up with a justified excuse to ignore her.
"I wanted to talk to you," I got out after staring at her for the Goddess know how long...
"Alek told me what you said."
I watched as her eyes softened as she pushed back the braid of hair in front of her face.
"I'm so sorry," she muttered in a low tone, so low the sound of children laughing in the distance could have caught it if I hadn't been watching her mouth.
"I'm sorry," she repeated more firmly this time as she started to walk towards me.
I was standing by the stairs that lead to the back entrance to the kitchen.
"I intervened because I thought it was the right thing to do. I thought you were playing house with Alek because you missed Honon. I'm sorry," she said, stopping right in front of me.
"I shouldn't have acted like I knew what you wanted more than you did," she said.
"Forgive me?" her words came out like a question.
She reached out her hand, staring down at mine as if begging me to hold hers.
I licked my lips, nodding before I reached out to grasp her hand.
The hand I had held on to since my mother died.
The hand of the person that had mothered me since then even though she was only six years older.
Aponi had done a lot for me.
I couldn't sacrifice her because of her mistake.
"Remember when my mother died and I would cry all day and Lapu never shed a tear?" I asked, and she nodded.
The Goddess bless my brother but he didn't have a delicate bone in his body.
I had been too young to remember father passing but I had an understanding of death when my mother left and it crushed me.
"Do you remember how I would cry at my Father's door and he wouldn't open and then I'd come to you and we would cry together?" I asked and a small smile formed on Aponi's face as she nodded.
"You didn't really know my Mum but you cried with me anyway. Thank you," I muttered in a low voice as Aponi moved to pull me into a hug.
We stayed like that, holding each other and swaying from side to side under the shade of the iron sheet roof.
"I wanted to take care of you," she muttered, cutting me off as she squeezed my shirt from behind.
"You didn't talk to anyone else much and I was scared..." she muttered.
"I was so happy when you figured out who your mate was but the joy didn't last after what Honon did. I couldn't just leave you by yourself..." she went on, choking a bit on her words.
"Yes, your brother was there to protect you but he's not an Omega. He doesn't know how any of that feels and I couldn't expect Kaya to take care of you then. Too young," she went on and all I could do was let out a hum in agreement.
I nodded into her shoulder, tightening the hug.
I was glad she had made that decision all those years ago.
Things were terrible then but they had been less terrible with her and Kaya by my side.
Aponi pulled away from me suddenly.
She had me at arm's length as she looked down at my stomach.
"I felt the baby move," she muttered before focusing her gaze on me.
Her dark eyes piercing mine.
"The cub's been moving for a while now," I told her, watching as glint danced in her eyes.
"Can I...?"
"Yes," I said before Aponi could finish her question.
She reached out to feel my stomach, smiling at the cub pawed around.
"So energetic," she muttered, giggling a little.
She was excited.
"Catori if it's a girl. Achak if it's a boy, yes?"
I smiled at that, nodding.
I hadn't thought of names yet but the ones Aponi proposed were beautiful... both meaning spirit and she probably picked them because of how lively the cubs were.
"We should probably give the baby a Siberian name as well?" I spoke up, thinking about Alek.
Sure, he was integrating into my pack and living with me but at the end of the day, the baby was still part him... still part Siberian.
"That sounds like a lovely idea," Aponi muttered.
"Can I pray?" she asked looking straight at me.
I nodded, watching as she started saying prayers softly under her breath as she drew invisible lines on my stomach through my shirt.
She prayed for a smooth pregnancy.
She prayed that things went well with Alek and that we had a fulfilling family together.
"There," she muttered when she was done, grinning at me.
"Speaking of Siberian wolves, do you think we'll ever get to meet any of Alek's relatives?" Aponi asked, making me think for a bit.
"I'm not sure," I ended up saying and Aponi sighed.
"Well, it doesn't matter if they come or if they don't. It won't change much," she said and I gave her a small smile.
She meant well but now that I thought about it, I really wanted them to come.
Alek didn't talk about home much but when he did, I saw a glint in his eyes that was hard to interpret any other way but homesickness.
He loved it here but it made sense that he was homesick.
He hadn't been home in over five years.
"I'll talk to Alek about it," I said when Aponi pulled away from me.
"It's worth a shot," she said as she walked back into the sun to pick up the basket of peppers she had picked in the garden.
I watched her go about her business for a bit, before deciding to head back into the pack house to find Alek.

More than half of Philippine SIMs are still unregistered ahead of April 26 deadline —DICT
Data released by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) showed that more than half of the SIMs (subscriber identity modules) across the country have yet to be registered with their respective public telecommunications entities (PTEs) with just three days to go before the deadline. The DICT data showed that a total of 82,845,397 SIMs were registered as of 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023. This is equivalent to 49.31% of the 168 million subscriber base nationwide, indicating that the majority has yet to be enrolled ahead of the deadline set on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Broken down, Smart Communications Inc. accounted for 39.949 million, Globe Telecom Inc. for 37.099 million, and DITO Tele community Corp. for 5.769 million. Just last Friday, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) said the government is not aiming for a 100% registration of SIMs, as some SIMs may not be registered for one reason or another. The DICT also said that the deadline will remain for now, despite requests from PTEs such as Globe and Smart for customers to have sufficient time to comply with the requirements. Under the SIM Card Registration Act, all PTEs are mandated to establish their respective registration platforms to onboard users who present valid identification cards. Users are given 180 days or until April 26, 2023, to register their SIM cards, or else face the risk of having them deactivated. The implementing rules and regulations of the SIM Card Registration Act took effect on December 27, after the measure was signed into law by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. last October. PTEs had said they were all set for the registration process, but birthing pains were expected during the initial stages. The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has since ordered them to report any problems encountered by users during the registration. —VAL, GMA Integrated News.
LAPU-LAPU DAY- APRIL 27 2023
Lapu-Lapu Day, observed on April 27, is a holiday that was created by Filipino President Duterte. It is a special working public holiday throughout the country and a special non-working holiday in Lapu-Lapu City. The holiday was declared in commemoration of the victory of Lapu- Lapu and his Filipino warriors against Spanish invaders, led by Ferdinand Magellan on April 27,
On the day of this battle, Lapu-Lapu led a group of fighters who repelled an invading force of 49 Spaniards under the leadership of Magellan, who was killed in the fight. The historic event is known as the Battle of Mactan. Lapu-Lapu was a native of Mactan and some argue he is the earliest-known indigenous Visayan Muslim chieftain from the island. The little island of Mactan was a thriving community before Spanish colonization when the Spanish explorer Ferdinand Magellan arrived in Cebu in the 16th Century. The brave Spanish navigator heard that the inhabitants of Mactan refused to recognize the King of Spain, and in response set one of its villages on fire. The great warrior Lapu-Lapu was one of the native leaders on the island who refused to acknowledge the sovereignty of Spain over the Islands.
After the incident, Magellan then led a group of fellow Spaniards (about three boatloads of them) and an even larger number of Cebuanos (indigenous inhabitants of Cebu, who form a major ethnicity in the Philippines today) on a visit to Mactan, to help a chief who had apparently recognized the sovereignty of the King of Spain and therefore had the favor of the Spanish. On this visit, the entourage was ambushed by Lapu-Lapu and his men, armed with native fighting gear, including wooden shields, bows and arrows, and lances. This event took place on April 27, 1521. Today, there is a monument of Ferdinand Magellan which was mounted on the approximate spot on which he fell and died, to honor his bravery. The original town of Opon was founded by an Augustinian friar in 1730 before being renamed ‘Datu Lapu-Lapu’ in 1961 after it became a city in honor of the warrior who defeated Magellan and his troops in 1521. This battle is commemorated at the Lapu-Lapu shrine in Punta Engaño.
Need to enhance Tagum’s security - Gov. Jubahib APRIL 28 2023 DAVAO del Norte Governor Edwin Jubahib said there's a need to improve security measures in Tagum City due to the series of crime incidents in the city which causes fears among the residents.
"We must enhance security measures in Tagum City and ensure that our communities are safe and secure. We urge the City Government of Tagum to take immediate action and implement concrete and realistic security measures to put an end to these criminal activities," Jubahib said in his press release on April 28, 2023. He said that the Tagum Police Station should double its efforts to address the crime incidents in the city. "I urge the Tagum PNP [Philippine National Police] to double their efforts in addressing the city's security issues. We need to put an end to the criminal activities that threaten the safety and well-being of our people, especially our women, and children. We will not tolerate any form of violence against them," Jubahib said. In the previous days, a series of incidents have been recorded in the city – a nine-year-old child was murdered, followed by another murder case of an 18-year-old female in the city. Days later there was a reported kidnapping incident in the city but the victim was able to escape from the kidnappers. Meanwhile, to ensure and enhance the security measures in the province, Jubahib handed over two brand new service vehicles and five brand new motorcycles to PNP in Davao del Norte. "We will continue to collaborate closely with law enforcement agencies to guarantee that our communities are safe and secure. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities," he said. Jubahib said that the provincial government is committed to its mandate of providing a safe and secure environment for the people of Davao del Norte.
YLLANA MARIE ADUANA CROWNED MISS PHILIPPINES EARTH 2023 APRIL 29
Yllana Marie Aduana from Siniloan, Laguna won the Miss Philippines Earth 2023 title during the coronation night in Toledo City, Cebu. The 24-year-old medical laboratory scientist and model bested 27 other candidates for the crown during the environmentally dedicated national pageant for Filipinas. Outgoing Miss Philippines Earth 2022 Jenny Ramp crowned Yllana at the event. During the Top 10 hashtag portion, Yllana received the word "safety" and touched on food and water security. This month, the National Water Resources Board (NWRB) warned of the onset of the El Niño phenomenon and asked the public to do its part in conserving the water supply. "Safety plays a very salient role in our lives," she said. "We have to always be secure, not only safe but also in terms of water security, and food security because as Miss Philippines Earth, I know that I am a hardworking person, and I can always incorporate this in order for us to achieve safety at all costs and protect Mother Earth the way she protects us all with all safety," she added In the final question-and-answer portion, the top five candidates were asked: "What do you think people in the future would say about your generation?" Yllana said, "I would definitely say that our generation, although misconstrued as very ardent, I would like to say that we use our voices for a reason and that is to speak up for the things that we know are right and for the things that we know we deserve." "That is why we are very ardent about it. That is why I’m also conducting colloquiums on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their interconnectedness to nature in hopes to precipitate people’s consciousness because our future is the linebackers and the pioneers of environmental amelioration and we should always take advantage of it at all costs."
PROMOTING LOCAL DISHES MAY EMPOWER COMMUNITIES- APRIL 30 2023 DABAWENYOS can empower local communities by supporting traditional food and heirloom dishes, a high-ranking official from the Department of Tourism-Davao Region (DOT-Davao). “Dako ang potential ng mga product nila na nag-improve talaga so hopefully daghan makapalit og makatry sa ilahang produkto aron makatabang pod ta (There is a lot of potential with their products and we are seeing improvements. Hopefully, more will be able to try their food and could benefit them),” Tanya Rabat-Tan, DOT-Davao regional director, said in an interview. Rabat-Tan said traditional dishes are crucial in preserving a place’s history and identity “Heirloom dishes often tell us a lot about a place’s history, resources, and identity…
The beauty of drawing tourists for destinations with food is that we can empower our communities in becoming guardians of our cultural heritage,” Rabat-Tan said in a speech during Kalutong Pilipino opening ceremonies in Ayala Malls Abreeza, on April 28. Thus, Rabat-Tan said Kalutong Pilipino should help “the transmission of the knowledge of our unique cuisines for the generations to come”. “[Let us] continue to support our industries, food tourism stakeholders, and most especially our agri-communities who all play a vital role in the culinary tourism ecosystem,” Rabat-Tan said. The event is a part of a month-long celebration of “Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino,” under Proclamation 469 series of 2018 signed by former President Rodrigo Duterte. “Since its [Kalutong Pilipino] inception in 2019, the event has always been well-participated by our stakeholders, our exhibitors, and hotels,” she said. The exhibit has 12 booth spaces, six occupied by the Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita (Kadiwa) market, and five Davao Region and Davao City provinces occupied the other six. There will also be performances or cooking demonstrations from the provinces or traditional cooking. “If you can see, mas daghan [vendors] (each stall has more vendors than the usual), naa pod silay (they also have) exhibitors na mga farmers,” Rabat-Tan said. Kalutong Pilipino is a collaboration between DOT, Department of Agriculture (DA) and National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) set on April 28 to 30, 2023. This aims to "promote traditional dishes and the harvest of Davao local farmers."
MARCOS RAISES NEAR-CRASH INCIDENT IN WPS WITH CHINA- MAY 1 2023 PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has directed the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to identify the country’s fishing ground in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) amid the ongoing dispute in the territory with China. In an interview with reporters aboard a flight on the way to the United States (US), Marcos reiterated the government’s priority to ensure the fishing rights of the Filipinos in the area. “I mean, of course, the overall priority is to safeguard our maritime territory but when you go down into the details, the most immediate, let’s say, concern is the fishing rights. So that’s what we have to do. That’s what we have to decide and they have agreed again to sit down,” he said. “I’ve asked the Coast Guard and the DFA to put together perhaps a map of these fishing grounds that sasabihin natin, ito Pilipinas talaga ito and we’ll see what they say when we give them our proposal,” he added. Marcos made the statement in light of a near-crash incident between a Chinese and Filipino vessel in the waters around Ayungin Shoal last week.

Hello! I don't know what to say, my head's empty at the moment. I'm really tired right now even though I didn't do anything. I supposed to post yesterday but I didn't cuz I felt so lazy. Yesterday was kinda good day to me cuz of the lil things happened. Early in the morning, the school department's page posted the list of Dean's Listers for the first semester. To be honest, I expected to be included in the list cuz I had a good grade for the last semester, and thankfully I saw my name on the list. The feeling I had when I saw my name in this year's DL is kinda different than last year's announcement. I was happier and more proud of myself last year than today, I think it's because it's my first time being included in the DL last year. Also, I was contemplating yesterday if do I deserve this cuz I feel like I didn't do my best as a student. All my thoughts yesterday was I'm not worth it, stupid, and useless. I really felt like I fooled myself. Anyway, after those contemplation I had yesterday, I slept for awhile, not until the delivery man called me, I missed his first call attempt. Luckily, I was able to woke up before he called me for the second time. I was a bit sleepy when we had our conversation, when he asked me for my exact location. I was really embarrassed to what I was saying cuz I felt like I was sober. But thankfully, the parcel was delivered safely. I was happy yesterday cuz finally I had my first ever album of ENHYPEN. It's literally my first time unboxing an album, and it feels so good (even though it's unsealed). The sparks from every inclusions was very exciting. I didn't expect as well that I got two posters of ENHYPEN (both from D:A Yet and No version). Also, for the bookmarks - I got Jake, Sunoo, and Ni-Ki 💗 Since I bought 3 Dimension: Answer albums, I was hoping that I got at least one Jake bookmark hehe. but I kinda disappointed to Ni-ki's bookmark cuz the print was almost faded already. I also gave my brother the extra album that I bought and he got Sunoo bookmark, but I didn't want to let go the Sunoo bookmark (cuz I'm a Crownz enthusiast) 😭. We literally fought for Sunoo's bookmark, we even competed and took an ENHYPEN quiz and I won each game. But still, he insisted to have the bookmark cuz he really wanted to have it. Also, I don't want to give him any Sunoo items cuz he bullied Sunoo so much ~saying that Sunoo looks like John Lapus (a Filipino comedian) 😭😭😭 idk why he said that, I'm really pissed when he compares Sunoo to other people cuz Sunoo is a beautiful guy and he has unique features. But I ended up giving the bookmark to him :((
Also, my sister had her NCT Glitch and Scratch mode albums that I also bought. I really like the album of NCT cuz I think it's cool. My sister has been a kpop fan for a long time but it's her first time to have an album as well. If it's not because of me, she would probably waiting for few more years to own her an album lol. I've been a fan of kpop just last year and I'm proud that I got an album already for just one year of being a kpop fan. Anyways, not really a big deal but overall I'm a bit happy yesterday.
Oh before I forgot, my family's gc was so funny yesterday. My mother congratulated me for being a Dean's Lister and asked if what gift would I want to receive, then my sister respond "enhyphen album", my brother also replied "meet and greet with jake" lmao 😂, then my mom asked "who's jake?" she probably thought jake is my boyfriend or something lol hahahaha, but my sister quickly sent a photo of "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" which is this:

I don't know what to say but it was too funny 😅
So yeah, that's what happened yesterday. Today was not really interesting. I woke up at 3 pm already cuz I've read sunjake au the whole night 😭. Anyways, gotta go already cuz I need to finish working on the necessary things for our research proposal. bye!
